What If...

In Three Cheers For Evil, Rory actually fell for Veronica? What if he realized who he really was? And when he does, what if he actually falls for Ethan?

Pairing: Ethory!

"Damn, you are quite the sexy one."

Rory smiled seductively as he stared at the two cheerleaders who had stayed after cheerleader practice. One had bouncy blonde hair with bright emerald eyes, and another one had dark brown eyes with soft brown hair. The brunette blushed.

"I..umm.." He started off. Rory whistled.

"No need to be nervous hun. We all come from the same planet. I am Rory." He said smoothly. The brunette was lost for words as the blonde one shook Rory's hand firmly.

"Excuse my friend here." She said in a pitched voice that almost made Rory laugh. "I am Betty. And this is Veronica." She said in certainty. Rory grinned; Betty was hot, but there was something about Veronica that made his heart flutter. It was wonderful. She was wonderful. He leaned closer to Veronica and winked.

"And you shy one. I ain't leaving 'till I get some pretty words from a pretty women like you." Betty stifled a laugh as Veronica's chocolate eyes widened. It sorta reminded Rory about Ethan, whom he was still trying to figure out if the feelings were real or not. Veronica did a lopsided curtsey, which made Betty giggle.

"I..I uh..will see you later"

And with that, Veronica made a dash to the fitting rooms. Betty shot Rory an apologetic smile as she ran after her best friend.

Ethan threw off his wig as Benny rushed in. He frowned.

"What the hell was that? That was your lucky shot! I thought you wanted Rory to notice you." He said, pulling out some jeans. They were so lucky they were the only ones who were in the change room right now. Ethan blushed.

"Can we not talk about this now?" He asked softly. Benny grinned. "No. You are like, my gay best friend. It is awesome! And I will help you. Because I so support you." Ethan rose an eyebrow.

"Wait, weren't you always my best friend anyway?" He asked. Benny rolled his eyes.

"Stop trying to change the subject my GBF! Let us get started."

Ethan rolled his eyes as Benny started to give him tips.

"I really think you should continue this Veronica act. Gives him a run for his money." He said as if he actually knew what he was talking about. Ethan sighed. "But hey! I want Rory to notice me for who I am" Benny frowned.

"Then act a little more dominate and awesome." He said, shrugging nonchalantly as Ethan sighed, finishing wiping off his makeup and put on his own t-shirt. He groaned.

"Maybe I should just drop it. I'll seeya in the cafeteria B."

And with that, he walked out, hoping and praying no one saw.

But someone did see.

Rory.

"What were you doing in the women's change room Ethan..." He mumbled as he ran out, trying to follow Ethan.

Rory and Veronica met in the cafeteria after some run ins. Veronica blushed.

"Hey Rory." She said shyly. Rory grinned. "Hello my sweet. Chocolate?" He asked, offering her a bar of that good sweet chocolate. Veronica couldn't resist as she took a bite. She grinned.

"Awesome." She said in a deeper voice than before. Rory rose an eyebrow as Veronica cleared her throat.

"I mean...awesome." She said in a much higher voice. Rory nodded his head in slight confusion as he smiled.

"I like you Veronica. I wanna date you." He said with confidence.

"D-Date? M-Me?" Veronica squeaked as Rory nodded.

"Yup. You. Me. Date." He said slowly. And that is when full confidence surged through Ethan..er..Veronica.

He kissed Rory.

People stared as Rory look startled for five seconds. But when he knew it was real, he started to kiss back. When they let go, Veronica gave a absentminded smile.

"That was...nice." She said. Rory grinned as he linked hands with Veronica. "I agree." He said, a daze in his voice as Veronica's heart raced. Was what she was doing right? Or was it just devious?

"Rory, I need to tell you something-"

The bell suddenly rang and Rory smiled, pecking her cheek.

"Tell me later. Love you sweetie!"

And with that, Rory flounced off. Ethan sighed.

"What am I getting myself into..." He groaned as he walked to the washroom, ready to get this stuff off.

Rory was on the verge of tears as he read the note over and over again.

My dearest Rorykins,

I am so sorry. My dad got a new job and we have to go.

I love you Rory. I did, and I still do.

I am closer than you think Rorykins. I just know it. Maybe you are destined to be with someone who isn't me.

I hope to see you soon.

"She even left two kisses!" He wailed as he threw himself into Ethan's shoulder. Ethan patted Rory's back, although he was all excited Rory was even asking him for consoling. He smiled softly.

"Maybe she was right Rory. Maybe someone you meet will be better than her." Rory frowned. "Are you sure about that Ethan?" Ethan nodded.

"Positive."

And with that, he left. But something caught Rory's eyes.

A brown wig in Ethan's backpack.

"Ethan!" He yelled after the seer. Ethan stopped as he closed his eyes, praying he didn't make the mistake he thought he made.

Had he forgotten to close his bag?

"You're...Veronica." He said slowly. Ethan frowned as he nodded, looking to the ground in shame.

"It was to save the cheerleaders from Stephanie." Ethan admitted. Rory smiled.

"So you do like me?"

Ethan paused carefully before answering.

"Yes." He said. "And I am sorry if you don't but let me explain that I won't stop being your friend if you don't-"

Rory kissed Ethan right there.

A/N- It sucked! I know. I am sorry. But I still need to write a bunch more, and this was sort of really far from what I write. Still, I hope you enjoyed my first Ethory. Or at least I think it is my first.
