So this one was sort of inspired by my fanfic buddy, MBAV fan66, who said...

"Too bad she couldn't enjoy it as herself and not as Rochelle. Lol! Maybe she should of just dressed up as a human version of herself for Halloween then when Rory tried to turn her into her costume she'll be a human again, but still be able to think like herself."

What If...

In Halloweird, Sarah dressed up as herself as a human? What if she had her own thoughts and emotions, but just wasn't a vampire? What fun could she have with her new humanness? [Is that even a word?]

Pairing: Ethara

Ethan entered his room to see Sarah, who was a bit dazed. Ethan backed out slowly so she wouldn't see what she was doing.

Ethan fiddled with the Jakeward costume he had on as he saw Sarah look in the mirror. Ethan knew Sarah dressed up as her human self, but what he was seeing was just extraordinary. He never knew he would be able to see what he was doing right now.

Sarah had a reflection.

"Oh my gosh..." Ethan murmured. Sarah heard him and she turned around. She grinned.

"I know!" She squealed. Ethan's eyes were wide as he hugged Sarah tightly.

She was dressed in a green, plaid flannel top and blue jeans. She wore a huge smile and looked exactly like herself. Except for the face she was now a human. Ethan grinned.

"How did this happen?" He asked in shock and awe. Sarah smiled.

"You know Rory and his mask, and how he trying to turn everyone into their costume?" Ethan nodded, sorta knowing where this was going. But he decided to let Sarah explain herself. Ethan grinned as Sarah's eye glistened with excitement.

"Well, he turned me into my human self since my costume is me as a human! IT IS SO AWESOME!" She squealed, her voice squeaking with excitement. Ethan smiled.

"Then let's enjoy it, shall we?"

And with that, they dashed out at human pace and out to the great outdoors. Sarah smelled the fresh air, her beating heart racing.

"This is so beautiful!" She said. "I cannot sense your pulse, I cannot smell anyone's blood, and I am just having the time of my life!" Ethan frowned.

"I am just saying Sarah, we are gonna have to destroy that mask before midnight. Sorry to be such a buzz kill." He said softly. Sarah nodded.

"I know. I just want to make the most out of this before I lose this." She confessed. Suddenly, Ethan's supernatural senses tingled. His eyes widened.

"Sarah?" She frowned. "What?" She asked.

"There are vampires here. Some people at this party dressed up as vampires." He said, hoping she would realize. Unfortunately, Sarah did.

"And we are both human right now...oh no." She said, her brown eyes holding distress as two vampires appeared out of the blue.

"Why, look what we have here." A vampire said, Sarah seeing the cliched cloak he was wearing. The blonde vampire smiled as she bore her fangs.

"It looks like we have dinner. For two." She hissed. Ethan had a surge of determination as he pushed Sarah back.

"Be careful Sarah." He said slowly. "We will be alright." Sarah gulped.

"Make a run for it!" She said as she ran as fast as her human legs could to the door. Ethan nodded as he followed, the two vamps chasing after them.

They reached inside as the Mexican Benny was wrestling the possessed Rory. Ethan was about to help him when Sarah pulled Ethan close.

And kissed him.

The kiss was beautiful and filled with emotion. Sarah had tears down her eyes as they pulled apart. She smiled sadly as Ethan saw the hurt in her eyes.

"I wanted two things. To kiss you, and to be human. It is an honour to do both at the same time." She said truthfully. The two vamps appeared at the door as they tried to sense Ethan and Sarah out. Ethan and Sarah's eyes widened as they tried to help Benny.

Rory was being wrestled on the ground by Benny as Ethan and Sarah were caught by the two vampires. Sarah gulped; she was terrified. Ethan grasped onto her hand as he smiled.

"We got this. We will be okay. I am gonna fight them and you will help. Gotcha?" Sarah nodded without responding as she threw a punch at the vampire. He stopped it with force as Sarah tried her best to defend herself. She believed that she had the power, even if she didn't. Suddenly, it happened.

Her heart stopped.

She blinked back tears; she was a vampire once more. The two vampires fell to the ground as Sarah hissed at them.

"Never mess with us again" She said bravely as she sobbed in Ethan's shoulder. Ethan rubbed her back.

"I love you even without you being human. Remember that." He said slowly. Sarah nodded as she kissed him on the cheek.

"Okay Ethan. Thank you."

And with that, they returned to the party, linking hands as Sarah's thoughts dimmed to one thing.

At least I have Ethan. He will always love me. And I will always love him.

A/N- Short, I know. But I am rushing and I am sorry if it sucked once more.
