A/N- Wassup? It be TOBN here with a new chapter of What If!

I know. It has been a while. But trust me when I say this, I am going to work on this story a lot more now. There are so many things I need to get finished, and it's obvious I should've updated sooner. I mean, this should've been done by June. But I am completely focused on finishing the last two chapters on this story, and ending it once and for all.

As for this one, I decided to kick off with a good ol' TOBN original, one of the last ones I have in this series. So I hope you enjoy this little ditty, my friends! It is a Bethan, because I can, and special shoutouts go to Bethan Forever, who I found out her birthday is in nine days [review in my fanfic buddy's story got me thinking]. So this little one shot goes out to Bethan Lover, one of my favorite writers. Happy [early] Birthday!

Shoutouts to...

123456789vampire- Yeah! Don't go hurting your best friends, Ethan. I really should've made sure that it would turn out better, huh? Jokes! But I am glad you liked the update, and thanks for your review once again!

MBAV fan66- Jesse is a bastard! I agree! I am glad that Jesse's plan backfired, because as much as a jackass he is, he would be murdered by me if things went according to his plan. So yeah! Jokes! Anyway, I am glad you liked this one, and thanks for your review, fanfic buddy!

LoveShipper- I see you have a point once more, my friend! Ethan and Sarah could be together, forever, and Benny is alright! Things worked out, am I right! Thanks again for your review! It means a bunch ;)

And with that, drop a review, and make sure you...

ENJOY!

What If...

In The Brewed, what if it was ice cream that turned the people into zombies? What if Benny needed something warm to cure him from the deadly curse that plagued him? And what if, after dealing with all those zombies, Benny was the only one still struggling to hang on? What if Ethan was the one? Would he do it for his best friend?

Pairing: Benny/Ethan

Ethan was beyond panicked right now.

The ice cream was the one that turned all those people into zombies, and after Sarah managed to get the heater on, all the zombies were gone, and Ethan had managed to save the day. Once again.

But there was only one person that was missing.

Benny.

Benny had been bitten by the zombies, he knew that, but the when the zombie bit him, it was slowly turning Benny into one of them. Benny was beyond terrified, and hadn't said anything because he was afraid he would hurt Ethan, and he explained that he thought the cure would be there by now. Ethan blamed himself for not thinking of anything sooner.

While Ethan was battling zombies in the class, Benny had managed to sneak out, not wanting to hurt Ethan any more than he absolutely could. When Ethan was done, he realized Benny was gone. He was nowhere to be found.

And that was when Ethan started to panic.

He dashed out the school, past Sarah, and into the front of the school to see Benny, who was shivering like a cat in water. Ethan's eyes widened as he ran up to Benny's body, that was kneeling on the ground. He struggled to stand as he rolled onto his back. Ethan looked at him in fear as he looked at his ghostly pale skin. Benny coughed as he shivered in Ethan's embrace.

"S-Stay...a-away..." He managed to get out, a moan escaping his lips as Ethan felt his forehead. It was ice cold. He felt more of Benny's skin, and realized that Benny didn't get warmed up because he was out of the school. Ethan tried his best to stay calm.

"Why the hell did you leave, Benny?! We just cured so many people with the heater, we have to get you in there!" Benny shook his head as he struggled to move. It was obvious he was too weak to do so. Benny's voice was barely a whisper.

"No...too...late...no..hurt...y-you...please...kill...before...t-too...late." He mumbled, his breathing slowing down as he looked at Ethan with deadly eyes, eyes that held nothing but a lust for a certain organ.

"B-Brains..." He moaned, standing to his crippled feet and staring at Ethan. Ethan yelped as e stumbled back, regaining his footing as he realized he had nothing hot around him. The air was merely cold for fall weather, he left his coffee inside, and Sarah had turned off the heater after they cured the zombies. So Ethan was defenseless.

"I don't want to hurt you, Benny." He said calmly. Benny sneered a malicious grin as he lunged towards Ethan, who screamed. Where was Sarah when he needed her?! He could certainly use some backup right now...

In the meanwhile, Ethan was trying to fend off the zombie Benny, while desperately trying to think of something that could warm up the living dead spellmaster. He thought and thought, rolling under attacks and dodging every punch thrown at him.

He needed something hot. Really hot, since the outdoors wasn't very warm. He needed something that could cancel out the coldness that plagued Benny, but what could it be? What could be even warmer, if Ethan had nothing but himself?!

Then it hit him.

Humans were warm blooded, but at the moment, Benny was cold blooded, because he was, well, undead. Ethan thought if he could give Benny his body heat in some way...but how would he do something without getting bit?

With every attack and every dodge, Ethan thought of some possibilities that he could do at the moment.

He could always hug him, and just wait for Benny to feel warm again. But then again, Ethan was feeling rather cold in this short sleeved shirt in the breezy night. Besides, if he was warm enough, he didn't want to get the risk of getting bitten. Then it's game over for everyone.

How about going inside and getting that coffee? No...Benny was chasing him like mad, and was eerily faster than your average zombie. Ethan figured it was because he was a spellmaster. And even if Benny didn't follow Ethan, he could wander off and feast on some innocent being, possibly starting this whole thing all over again. He also could get hurt...or more hurt than being a zombie.

So what could he do to Benny that would heat him up, even just a little?

That was when Ethan remembered a conversation with Erica.

It was the day after the whole 'love spell' fiasco, and Ethan was helping Erica with her homework (Well, more like giving her the answers so she wouldn't eat him alive because of the whole love spell stuff and what not)

"What was it like to kiss Benny?" He suddenly asked. Erica smirked. "You are so gay, Morgan. And you are cliched too; having the hots for your best friend. Typical." She said nonchalantly, reading a magazine as Ethan continued to work on her homework, but now blushing.

"Just tell me!" He said, rather embarrassed. Erica shrugged.

"Pretty hot, actually. Sets you on fire." She paused.

"Then again, every good kiss is warm." She added

"A kiss. I need to kiss Benny" He mumbled, seeing as Benny continued to attack him. Ethan tried to snap himself out of this.

"I can't kiss my best friend! That is wrong! He is straight. I am not" He said to himself. Then he looked at Benny's dead eyes, and Ethan finally came to his senses, and prepared himself for what he was going to do.

"It's the only way to fix him." He assured himself.

The next time that Benny lunged at Ethan, he grabbed his arm, and then pulled him close.

And kissed his cold lips.

It felt pretty good, to finally kiss Benny. He stopped after a few seconds, feeling a little warmth in Benny's cheeks.

Speaking of Benny, he seemed rather fazed by it all, stumbling around dazedly and moaning in between each step. Ethan closed his eyes; he needed more warmth. This kiss had to be long and wonderful.

He pressed his lips on Benny's once more, kissing him passionately and spreading warmth throughout Benny, who eventually fainted.

Ethan was startled at Benny's collapse, and since he was kissing him, he was pulled back with him. He yelped as he landed on top of Benny, his lips barely touching his. Ethan panted, catching his breath as he saw Benny's emerald eyes flutter and meet his. Benny saw their position and gasped.

"Did...did you kiss me?" He stammered. Ethan blushed as he pulled back and sat beside his friend.

"Y-Yes." He admitted. Benny groaned as Ethan tried to recover from the confession. "But it was to save you, and I didn't want you to stay a zombie forever. I am sorry Benny, but I-" Ethan ranted on before Benny rolled his eyes as he sighed, pulling Ethan for a kiss.

Ethan was startled, but kissed back anyway, going on top of Benny once more and the grass pricking Ethan's fingertips. Benny let go a bit and he smiled.

"Thank you." He whispered. Ethan nodded and moaned beneath his kisses, and smiled as he kissed back.

"Um...do you want me to bring you two home?"

The two released from embrace to see Sarah, standing above them. Embarrassed, the two scrambled to their feet as Sarah awkwardly pointed to the school.

"I had to explain everything to the teachers, saying that they had the worst hangover ever, and if they dared even punish anyone, the news goes out across the school board. Everyone was so embarrassed, they just let me go." She then looked at Ethan and Benny. Ethan lowered his eyes to the ground.

"Um, it's good Sarah. We'll walk home. But, thanks. For everything." He said quietly. Benny nodded as Sarah smirked, walking away to her car before turning around again. She smiled at the two boys.

"You know, I always shipped you." She winked, leaving the deadpanned teenagers just standing there, unknowingly hand in hand

A/N- Okay, these are getting better and better. I am glad it is going well.

Well, one down, two more to go until the conclusion of What If! I'm pretty excited! You?
