The ring Soooo, who hates my guts? I'm actually so sorry that this took like five months! I've been really busy with school lately cuz it's April and we're getting close to exams. I also seriously apologize that this is really short, it was gonna be longer but I wanted to post it soon so you wouldn't have to wait longer. There is one more chapter after this and then I'll move onto another story. Also ignore the fact that the title says "the rin" I have no clue how to fix it, so pretend it says "ring"

Austin's pov
Tonight was the greatest night of my life and its about to become even better, I'm gonna ask Ally's dad if I can give her promise ring, lets hope he says yes!
"So um Mr. Dawson can I ask you something?"
"Sure Austin, what's up"
"Well..."
"Well, I know Ally and I have only been dating for two weeks but I really do love her and I would never intentionally hurt her, so I wanted to ask if I could give Ally a promise ring."
Mr. Dawson looked stunned, "so you're not actually proposing?"
"No sir, I'm to young to get married, this is just promising one day, in a few years we'll get married" I say hopefully
He thought about it for a second before speaking up,"you know what Austin, you've been good to Ally and since this isn't a real proposal, I'll give you my blessing"
"Really! Aw thanks Mr. Dawson!" I say shaking his hand.
"Wait, do you know when you're gonna give her the ring?"
"Well I was thinking I'd give it to her tomorrow, maybe take her to the beach, if that's ok with you."
"Well it's perfectly fine with me"
"That's great so I guess I'll be going home now" I say standing up before he interrupts.
"Austin wait!" He says as I turn around.
"Did anything bad happen tonight?"
"Umm yeah.." I then explain everything that happened with Dallas, and I mean EVERYTHING. By the time i finish talking Mr. Dawson's whole face has anger written on it.
"I'm going to MURDER him" he yells.
"Don't worry, I took care of it, and I'll take extra special care of it on Monday" I say hinting at what Dallas was gonna get.
"Well, just don't get arrested alright?" He says getting up
"Oh I won't" I say walking out the door.
"Bye mr. Dawson" I say waving, and he does the same.
*the next day, still Austin's pov*
I texted Ally this morning saying I'd take her to the beach this evening, I have to get her at 5:30 and its already 12:00. I get ready to go to the jewelers to pick up the ring which I pre-ordered.
*blah he goes to jewelers and picks up ring blah*
I finally get home and take a look at the ring, it's a small silver ring with tiny diamond heart, there's an engraving on the inside "A+A", it costs $400. Ally's worth it
Ally's pov
Austin asked me if I would go to the beach with him this evening, apparently it's about something really special, he said he's picking me up at 5:30 and its already 3:30, which only gives me two hours to get ready! I decide to pick out a pink sundress and some white sandals. Just Incase, I decide to bring my navy blue bikini. I then go take a shower, after 20 minutes I get out and dry my hair, since we're going to the beach, I don't wanna make my hair too fancy so I throw it into a quick side braid. I put my dress and shoes on and start doing my makeup, not to much just some water proof mascara and pink lip gloss. I grab my beach bag and fill it with my bikini, sunscreen, my wallet, my phone and a water bottle. I throw on the necklace Austin gave me. I look at the clock, it reads 4:45. Austin should be here soon. Since I have some time, I decide to check my tweeter, I scroll down my phone and see a new tweet from Austin"I can't wait to go to the beach with my princess today" he adds a picture of us. it's from three days before the prom, we went to the park cuz we we're bored. The picture shows him kissing me on the cheek while we were on the swings. I smile remembering that day, I also remember Austin crying cuz his ice cream fell down. I suddenly hear the door bell ring, knowing its probably Austin, I grab my bag and run downstairs. I see Austin talking to my dad in the door way. He's wearing a light blue t-shirt, black jeans and dark blue converse. He also has his black back pack from last year which I'm guessing contains his swim trunks, blanket and whatever else he needs He looks up to see me,
"hey Alls!"
"Hey Austin, you ready to go?" I ask.
"Yes I am."
He says turning to my father, "I promise we'll be back by 11:30." My father nods and closes the door.
We get in the car and Austin starts driving. "So, what's the occasion?" I ask.
"Not much. I just figured that we could have a little date before exams start on Tuesday" he replies.
"By the way, you look gorgeous" he adds and I blush
*they drive for twenty more minutes until they get to the beach*
"Well, we're here!" He shouts immediately grabbing his backpack, leaving me in the car. I chuckle at his child-like silliness.
I grab my bag and get out of the car, walking to wear Austin is.
"You know, you could've waited for me?" I say
"Sorry Alls, but you know how much I love the beach!" I chuckle,
"oh I know. Anyways, what are we doing today?"
"Well I was thinking we could have a little picnic." He opens his back pack and pulls out a white and blue checkered picnic basket, two ham & cheese sandwiches, a box of chocolate chip cookies, a small jar of pickles, two bottles of pink lemonade, along with plates and napkins.
"Wow, you really went all out!" I exclaim
"Anything for my favourite girl in the world" he says quickly giving me a quick kiss on the lips. We eat the food and talk about graduation which is coming up in a week.
"Hey do you think we could go swimming?" I ask
"I didn't bring my swim trunks." He says. "But I did bring something else" he says with his I-have-a-surprise look.
"Like what?" I ask
He grabs my hands and pulls me close, the sun is setting and this very moment reminds me of when he asked me to prom and be his girlfriend.
"Ally Dawson, since the day we met at sonic boom three years ago, I knew I was gonna fall for you, I just didn't know when. Honestly these past few weeks have been the greatest and I wanna have more of these great memories with you in my life. So Ally Marie Dawson, wi-" I cut him off.
"Austin, I love you but I can't get married just yet" I say looking into his eyes.
He suddenly bursts into laughter and I've never been more confused.
"Why the heck are you laughing?!"
"Alls, I wasn't proposing. I wanted to give you this." He pulls out a ring case, much similar to the one he gave the necklace to me in. He He opens it and I see a beautiful small silver ring with a tiny diamond heart on top. He begins to speak again
"as I was gonna ask, Ally Marie Dawson, will you please accept this PROMISE ring" he asks putting emphasis on the word promise.
As soon as he finishes his sentence, I jump into his arms, engulfing him in a bear hug. "Of course" I say tearing up. I pull back and he slips the ring on my left hand, index finger. He whisperers into my ear, "I love you"
One thing I've learned in these past few weeks was that true love really does conquer all. Austin made me realize that no matter how horrible things may get, you can always get through it as long as you have that one special person, and as much as I hate to say it, if it weren't for dallASS I wouldn't have found my true love.
Once again I apologize that it's so short, but I tried, I'll try to have the last chapter up by the end of next week. also, HUGE CONGRATSSS TO LAURA FOR GETTING INTO NYU AND GETTING A MILLION TWITTER FOLLOWERS AHHHHH! byeeee :)
