UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Will and Mia are curious about Chad's plan.
Will:
"What does my grandma have to do with this?"
Chad:
"She said if I ever needed anything to let her know and she can help me."
Mia:
"But she's married to Stefano."
Chad:
"I know but if I'm really a DiMera, I need to find out."
Chad pulls out his phone and calls Kate. Kate's standing outside of the Pub when Chad calls.
Kate:
"Chad, hey what's up?"
Chad:
"I need your help."
Kate:
"What's wrong?"
Chad:
"Can we meet somewhere?"
Kate:
"Sure. I'm about to go into the Pub."
Chad:
"Great I'll be there in a few."
Chad and Kate hang up.
Chad:
"I'm going to meet Kate at the Pub. Later, thanks for the help."
Chad gets on the elevator.
Mia:
"Well what do you want to do now?"
Will:
"I don't know."
LUCAS' HOUSE
Sami and Lucas are in shocked.
Baker:
"EJ and Nicole are Sydney's biological parents."
Sami:
"That's not true."
Baker:
"Why not?"
Sami:
"This is all a little scheme by EJ and Nicole to get Sydney, but you know what? It's not working."
Baker:
"It's the truth and I can prove it."
Lucas:
"How?"
Baker:
"A DNA test."
DIMERA MANSION
Nicole:
"So EJ, what is your plan to get your kids away from Sami and how am I going to help?"
EJ:
"I'm going to destroy Sami and Rafe's relationship."
Nicole:
"That's it?"
EJ:
"Since you're so good at destroying things and getting close to Rafe, I think you could be of some assistance."
Nicole:
"Now why would I want to do this?"
EJ:
"You want Brady right?"
Nicole:
"Yeah?"
EJ:
"Well you destroy Rafe and Sami and I'll destroy Brady and Arianna."
Stefano listens intently.
Nicole:
"So I do your dirty work and you do my dirty work?"
EJ:
"Exactly."
Nicole:
"And how am I supposed to do that?"
EJ:
"Your creative, scheming self will come up with something."
Nicole:
"And what if I refuse?"
EJ:
"Then you can't have Brady."
THE PUB
Chad walks in and looks around for Kate. Kate signals for him. He walks over and sits at her table.
Chad:
"Thanks for meeting with me."
Kate:
"Sure thing. What do you need help with?"
Chad:
"It's about my biological dad."
Kate:
"What about him? Did you find him?"
Chad:
"Maybe. I'm not sure."
Kate:
"What do you mean?"
Chad pulls out the DNA test and hands it to Kate. Kate looks it over.
Kate:
"This says that EJ's your father?"
Chad:
"Yep. Do you know if there is any truth to this?"
Kate:
"Where did you get this?"
Chad:
"Will and Mia."
Kate:
"My grandson Will? How did they get this?"
Chad:
"They found it in Colin's apartment."
Kate:
"Well Colin wasn't the most trustworthy person."
Chad:
"I can see that, but he got into my mom's safe deposit box. This could have been in it."
Kate:
"I guess."
Chad:
"You knew my mom back then. Could this be true? Could I be a DiMera?"
Kate holds back.
LUCAS' HOUSE
Sami:
"I'm not going to waste my time and put my daughter through a DNA test just to prove that this is just another one of Nicole's schemes to get Sydney back. As if getting knocked up by her father again wasn't enough."
Baker:
"Believe it or not Sami, but this is not a scheme."
Sami:
"Ok so if it's not then why are you just telling me this now?"
Baker has a flashback from the night Sami's daughter was born. He and his nurse were giving her CPR, but were unable to save her.
Baker:
"She's gone."
Nurse:
"That's so sad. How are you going to tell her mother?"
Baker:
"I don't know."
Someone starts bagging on the door.
Baker:
"Who the hell is that?"
Baker opens the door, but doesn't see anyone. He's about to shut the door when he looks down and sees a baby girl in a basket. He bends down and picks her up. He brings her in the room and closes the door.
Nurse:
"Whose baby is that?"
Baker:
"I don't know."
Sami interrupts.
Sami:
"Hello?"
Baker comes too.
Baker:
"What?"
Sami:
"What were you thinking about?"
Lucas:
"Yeah, you have some explaining to do."
DIMERA MANSION
Nicole:
"Who the hell do you think you are? Telling me I can't have Brady. I can have Brady if I want Brady."
EJ:
"Actually, he's married so you can't."
Nicole:
"Shut up"
EJ laughs.
Nicole:
"You know what? I don't care. Do whatever you want to do EJ. I don't need you. Have fun trying to break up Sami and Rafe on your own."
Nicole leaves the room. EJ smiles.
Stefano:
"That's your grand plan? Break up Sami and Rafe? That'll fix them. That'll get your children back."
EJ turns to Stefano.
EJ:
"What else am I supposed to do? As long as Rafe and Sami are together, Rafe will do whatever to find out whatever I am up to and put me behind bars. Him and that pathetic Lucas. Always on Sami's side. I should kill them both."
Stefano:
"Kill Rafe if you want to, but not Lucas. That is Katherine's son."
EJ gets angry.
EJ:
"I don't give a bloody hell whose son he is. He is a road block that needs moving so I can have Johnny and Sydney back. I will do anything to have them back and anyone that stands in my way. Damn them."
Stefano:
"Even me?"
THE PUB
Kate:
"I honestly don't know Chad. I really don't."
Chad:
"My mom never confided in you about my father?"
Kate:
"No. She never said anything about him. I asked her, but that's something she kept to herself. Then Charles came into the picture and she convinced me that he was."
Chad:
"But you didn't believe it at first, right?"
Kate:
"No I didn't. I thought it was a John really."
Chad:
"So EJ was a John?"
Kate:
"No. He was still young back then. He wasn't even around Stefano back then. I would have no idea how Madeline and him would have met."
Chad stares at Kate.
Kate:
"What?"
Chad:
"You're lying to me."
Kate:
"I'm not. I'm telling you the truth Chad. Why don't you believe me?"
Chad:
"I don't know, but I have a feeling you are. You're hiding something."
Kate:
"I'm not hiding anything from you Chad. You know what? I'll talk to Stefano and EJ for you."
Chad:
"You know what? Don't bother."
Chad gets up and leaves. Kate takes a deep breath. Outside the Pub, Chad walks past Will and Mia.
Mia:
"Chad?"
Will:
"He looks pissed."
Mia:
"What did your Grandma say to him?"
Mia rushes into the Pub and to Kate's table. Kate looks up.
Mia:
"What did you say to Chad?"
Kate stares at Mia.
LUCAS' HOUSE
Baker:
"Okay. I'll tell you everything."
Sami:
"Finally."
Baker:
"When Brady brought Nicole into my clinic, she gave birth to a girl. The baby was premature. She had a lot of complications, but she pulled through."
Sami:
"Then what? How come you didn't give her to Nicole?"
Baker:
"I was, but then this man showed up and demanded the baby."
Lucas:
"So you just gave some random guy Nicole's baby just because he demanded?"
Baker:
"He had a gun and threatened me. So I gave him the baby."
Sami:
"Really? This sounds so stupid."
Sami throws her hands in the air.
Lucas:
"Do you know who this man is?"
Baker:
"Yes I do. And you two know him."
Sami and Lucas look intrigued.
DIMERA MANSION
EJ calms down.
EJ:
"Why would you stand in my way?"
Stefano:
"I won't as long as your revenge plot doesn't hurt Lucas."
EJ:
"Fine, I'll leave Lucas alone as long as he stays out of my way."
Stefano:
"I'm warning you son."
EJ:
"Whatever father."
Stefano and EJ stare intensely at one another.
Stefano:
"Let's chance the subject shall we?"
EJ:
"Oh yes. There is something that happened today."
Stefano:
"What else could have possibly happened today?"
EJ:
"It's quite funny actually."
Stefano:
"How so?"
EJ:
"Chad Woods came past with a DNA test claiming that I was his father."
Stefano stands nervously while EJ laughs.
EJ:
"Like I would sleep with Madeline. No offense Father. I know you had a thing for her."
EJ stops laughing and notices Stefano looks nervous.
EJ:
"Why do you look so nervous?"
THE PUB
Kate:
"Excuse me?"
Will interrupts.
Will:
"Mia is just worried about Chad. That's all. What happened?"
Kate:
"Chad's upset obviously."
Mia:
"Yeah because of you."
Kate stands up.
Kate:
"Excuse me again, could you like go somewhere for a minute Mia? I need to talk to my Grandson."
Mia:
"Whatever Grandma"
Mia walks to the counter.
Kate:
"Why are you hanging out with that girl?"
Will:
"Mia's my girlfriend."
Kate:
"Oh really? Does your parents' know about this? I'm sure they wouldn't approve."
Will:
"So what? I don't care. I'm going to date Mia and there's nothing that you or my parents' can do about it."
Will looks over at Mia.
Will:
"Hey Mia"
Mia turns around.
Will:
"Let's go babe"
Mia smiles as she walks back over to Will. He wraps his arm around her.
Will:
"Bye Grandma."
Mia smirks at Kate before she and Will turn around and walk out of the Pub.
Kate:
"What the hell just happened?"
Kate pulls out her phone and dials Lucas. He doesn't answer so she leaves a voicemail.
Kate:
"Lucas, when you get this call me. It's about your son."
Kate hangs up.
Kate:
"Teenage boys. Ugh."
LUCAS' HOUSE
Lucas:
"Who is he?"
Baker:
"That doctor guy that shot at the hospital."
Lucas:
"Colin Murphy?"
Sami:
"What would he want with a baby?"
Baker:
"I don't know."
Lucas:
"So you just gave Nicole's baby to some random stranger to save yourself?"
Baker:
"Yeah I did. I regret it of course."
Sami:
"Yeah now you do."
Lucas:
"So how did you get Sydney back if you gave her to Colin?"
Baker:
"He brought her back the night Sami gave birth and Nicole came in with Grace."
Sami:
"So he was like here take the baby back?"
Baker:
"No, he just left her sitting by the door. I didn't realize he was Nicole's daughter. I picked her up and laid her down. Then Nicole showed up with Grace."
Baker flashed back to that night.
Baker:
"Who are you? You look familiar."
Nicole walks in with baby Grace.
Nicole:
"Is that Sami's baby?"
Baker comes back.
Baker:
"She asked me if that baby was yours. I panicked so I said yes."
Sami starts to cry.
Baker:
"Then Nicole came up with the idea of switching the babies. I didn't want to but then I agreed to it. I didn't realize that baby was Nicole's until I was told by that Murphy guy. He said he'd pay me a lot of money to keep it to myself. But now he's dead so there's no reason to keep it hidden anymore I guess."
Lucas:
"You guess? Do you not realize all the pain you've caused?"
Baker:
"Yes and I hate it. That's why I'm doing the right thing now. I'm so sorry Sami."
Sami:
"Get out."
Baker:
"Fine."
Baker walks towards the door. Sami follows. Baker opens the door and walks out. Sami slams it behind him. She stares at the door for a moment.
Lucas:
"We should tell EJ and Nicole about this."
Sami turns around.
Sami:
"No. They don't need to know anything about this."
Sami wipes the tears from her face.
DIMERA MANSION
Stefano:
"I'm not nervous."
EJ:
"Don't lie to me father."
Stefano:
"I'm not lying. I just think it's crazy that Chad is walking around with some DNA test and claiming he's a DiMera. Like how is that possible?"
EJ:
"I don't know. And I don't care."
Kate walks in. EJ and Stefano are silent.
Kate:
"Hello boys."
Stefano:
"Katherine. So happy you're home."
Kate walks over to Stefano and gives him a kiss.
Kate:
"I got your message. I can't believe you were arrested in connection with Colin. That's just crazy."
Stefano:
"I know. I had nothing to do with Colin."
EJ:
"Neither did I. I'm leaving."
EJ leaves the living room. Kate and Stefano watch then focus their attention back on each other.
Kate:
"I know you didn't. And soon the idiot police will too."
Stefano:
"Not so sure they will. Seems like someone is trying to set me up."
Kate:
"Any idea who?"
Stefano:
"Victor Kiriakis."
Kate:
"Victor? Why? Is this about the argument earlier?"
Stefano:
"He's trying to take a very important client from me."
Kate:
"You boys."
Stefano:
"Whatever. I need a drink."
Stefano walks over to pour himself a drink. Kate follows him.
Kate:
"There's something that I need to talk to you about."
Stefano takes a sip of his drink.
Stefano:
"What about?"
Kate:
"About Chad Peterson-Woods."
Stefano:
"What about him?"
Kate:
"He has a DNA test that says that he's EJ's biological son. Is there any truth to this?"
Stefano pauses.
Kate:
"Oh my gosh. It's true isn't it?"
Stefano finishes his drink.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Chad walks off the elevator. He looks over and sees Lexie standing by the nurse's desk looking at a patient's charts. He walks over to her.
Chad:
"Dr. Carver."
Lexie looks over at him.
Lexie:
"Chad, hey. What's going on?"
Chad:
"I need your help."
Lexie:
"Sure anything. What's wrong?"
Chad:
"I need you to test our DNA."
Lexie:
"What? Why?"
Chad:
"I think I might be EJ's son."
Lexie's stunned.
LUCAS' HOUSE
Lucas:
"Why not?"
Sami:
"Because…we don't know if what Baker is saying is the truth. This could still be a Nicole scene or even EJ could be a part of this."
Lucas:
"I don't know about that. I mean it sounds a little far fetch, but I don't think Nicole and EJ have any idea about this."
Sami:
"There's only one way to find out."
Sami walks over to Lucas.
Lucas:
"Yeah. We do a DNA test."
Sami:
"If we want the truth. Then no one can know about this."
Lucas:
"I won't tell anyone. Just let me know when you want to do this."
Sami:
"I trust you Lucas. The one the only people I can trust."
Sami hugs Lucas. He hugs her back.
Lucas:
"I got to get back to the office."
Lucas pulls away.
Lucas:
"Are you going to be ok?"
Sami:
"I'm fine. I'm just going to finish cleaning up the mess the twins made earlier."
Lucas:
"Ok. Call me if you need anything."
Lucas wipes the tears from Sami's eyes. Then walks away. Sami turns and watches him leave. Lucas opens the door. He turns around to give Sami a smile before he closes the door. Sami's phone rings. She looks at her id, it's Roman.
Sami:
"Hey Dad. What's going on?"
Roman:
"Hey sweetheart. How are you?"
Sami:
"I'm doing better."
Roman:
"That's good. Can you come down to the station?"
Sami:
"I can't come to the station right now. The kids are napping."
Roman:
"Okay. Why don't I come over?"
Sami:
"That would be great."
Roman:
"Okay. I'll be over there in a minute."
Sami:
"Okay cool. Bye."
Sami hangs up her phone as someone knocks at the door. Sami looks at the door.
Sami:
"Well that was fast."
Sami walks over to answer it. It's EJ.
Sami:
"What the hell do you want?"
EJ stands there with a smile on his face.
DIMERA MANSION
Kate:
"Well?"
Stefano:
"That bitch. She screwed with the DNA tests. Chad must have the original."
Kate:
"Wait, you knew there was a possibility that Chad was EJ's son?"
Stefano:
"Yes. Yes I did. But it came back that he wasn't. Madeline must have switched them somehow. I must know for sure. Where's Chad?"
Kate:
"I don't know. He ran out of the Pub because he thought I was lying when I said I didn't know anything."
Stefano gets out his phone.
Stefano:
"I must find him."
Stefano dials one of his associates.
Stefano:
"Yes, find me Chad Peterson-Woods."
He hangs up.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Lexie is confused.
Lexie:
"Why do you think you're EJ's son?"
Chad pulls out the DNA results and hands them to Lexie. Lexie takes them from his hands and looks them.
Lexie:
"Oh my."
Chad:
"Do they seem legit?"
Lexie looks up at him.
Lexie:
"They do. You're EJ's son."
