218. Finally In

She wanted to be on that team:
so desperately, she wanted to be there,
standing in the changing rooms before
every match, flying out there
each time
instead of once,
or perhaps never,
instead of waiting for the true stars
to fall, and give way to reserves
like her

So when a position opened up
she chased it with all her might,
went after her goal
and when she had it in both hands
she could cheer loudly and cry
because she was finally in:
her dream had finally come true.
