Carrie and Caroline walk into the Pub
Carrie:
"Thanks Grandma for being at the service."
Caroline:
"No need to thank me. I wanted to be there for you."
Carrie and Caroline hug. Austin walks in.
Austin:
"The car is parked."
Caroline and Carrie turn to Austin.
Caroline:
"Thank you for dropping me off at the door. Such a gentleman."
Caroline says with a smile. Carrie and Austin smile as well.
Austin:
"You're welcome Caroline."
Caroline:
"Would anyone like some clam chowder?"
Carrie:
"Got any ice tea?"
Caroline:
"Well of course."
Carrie:
"Then yes please."
Caroline:
"Coming right up."
Caroline says with a smile then turns and walks towards the kitchen.
Carrie:
"I can help too."
Carrie says, but Austin stops her.
Austin:
"No I'll help, you rest."
Carrie:
"Okay."
Carrie and Austin kiss before he walks to the kitchen with Caroline. Carrie's smile fades as she walks over to a table. She's about to sit down when Derrick walks in. They stare at one another.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL: JAN'S ROOM
Daniel's in Jan's room checking her vitals when Sarah and Kinsey walk in. Daniel turns to them.
Kinsey:
"So you have the test results? Is Jan going to wake up? If so when?"
Sarah:
"Calm down Kinsey, let's let Dr. Jonas speak ok?"
Daniel:
"The test results say that Jan's condition is the same. No improvement has been made."
Kinsey:
"What? No. I saw her eyes open. Jan's trying to wake up."
Daniel:
"It probably was an involuntary reaction."
Kinsey:
"I know what I saw."
Kinsey rushes out of the room. Sarah tries to stop her, but Kinsey ignores her.
Sarah:
"Kinsey!"
Sarah watches her leave then turns back to Daniel.
Sarah:
"I'm sorry Dr. Jonas."
Daniel:
"It's fine. I understand. She wants her cousin to wake up, but…"
Sarah:
"You don't see that happening?"
Daniel hesitates.
Daniel:
"Never say never, but the way things have gone. It's been too long."
Sarah tries to fight back the tears.
Daniel:
"I'm sorry."
Sarah:
"Jan is the only thing I have left of my sister. I mean I have money and a nice house, but I'd give that all up just to see Jan again. She looks just like my sister."
Daniel:
"I wish there was more that I could do, but there's only so much I could and I've done it all and more. And, it's out of my hands."
Sarah:
"I know. I know. And I think you so much Dr. Jonas. All the other doctors, they didn't care. Then you came to town. You are truly a blessing."
Daniel:
"Thank you, but I'm not."
Sarah:
"You are. You underestimate yourself."
Daniel watches as Sarah wipes the tears from her eyes.
Sarah:
"Well I better go find Kinsey. Thank you again Dr. Jonas."
Sarah gives Daniel a half smile then leaves the room. Daniel looks at Jan, lying motionless in her bed. He takes a deep breath then leaves the room. Outside Jan's room, Daniel bumps into Dr. Jason Walters.
Jason:
"Oh sorry Jonas."
They stare at each other.
DIMERA MANSION
Stefano is sitting in the living room having a drink when Kate walks in.
Kate:
"Any news on Chad? I tried calling him, but he's not picking up."
Stefano:
"Nothing yet. Goodness, how long does it take to locate a teenage boy?"
Just as Stefano says that, his phone rings. He answers quickly.
Stefano:
"Well?"
He pauses to listen. Kate is intrigued.
Stefano:
"Thank you."
Stefano hangs up.
Kate:
"Where is he?"
Stefano:
"At the hospital, talking with Lexie."
Kate nods her head.
Kate:
"That makes sense."
Stefano:
"Let's go now."
Stefano and Kate leave the mansion.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Lexie looks over the DNA tests.
Lexie:
"These seem legitimate. I can't believe this."
Chad:
"Neither does EJ. He just brushed me off like it didn't even matter to him."
Lexie:
"EJ has had a lot on his mind."
Chad:
"I don't care. I want to know the truth."
Lexie:
"I can perform another DNA test."
LUCAS' HOUSE
Sami stares at EJ wish disgust.
EJ:
"You look so happy to see me Samantha."
Sami:
"What the hell are you doing here?"
EJ lets himself in.
EJ:
"Though Lucas was never going to leave."
Sami:
"Have you been spying on us?"
Sami closes the door. EJ turns to face her.
EJ:
"Us? You mean, you and Lucas were?"
Sami:
"No, we were just talking."
EJ:
"Sure whatever."
Sami:
"Again, what the hell are you doing here?"
EJ:
"I'm here to see my kids of course."
Sami crosses her arms.

Carrie:
"Hey Derrick."
Derrick:
"Hey"
He says as he walks closer to Carrie.
Carrie:
"Thank you for coming to my mother's funeral. That was very sweet of you."
Derrick:
"No problem. Your mother was a very interesting woman."
Carrie:
"Yes she is…was."
Derrick:
"I feel responsible for her death."
Carrie:
"You were just doing your job. I wish my mother wouldn't have gotten involved with EJ DiMera. Rafe said that she told him that she was working with EJ on the kidnapping, but now that my mom is dead and there's no more evidence, EJ's going to get away with it."
Derrick:
"Yeah I talked to Tim. This is just…just so messed up. I wish that there was something I could do."
Carrie:
"I wish so too, but they're the DiMeras. They get away with everything."
Carrie starts to break down, Derrick pulls her in for a hug just as Stephanie is walking in.
Stephanie:
"What's going on here?"
Carrie and Derrick break their hug to look over at Stephanie.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL: JAN'S ROOM
Daniel:
"It's fine Walters."
Jason:
"So what's going on in there? I saw 2 beautiful women rushing out."
Daniel:
"It's a coma patient, Jan Spears. She's been in for awhile and the young woman, Kinsey, she was hoping she was going to wake up, but her test results say otherwise."
Jason:
"Oh wow, that's horrible. Sorry man."
Daniel:
"Me too. Well I better get to my rounds."
Jason:
"Same. Later."
Jason and Daniel walk away in different directions. Jason stops to make sure that Daniel was gone then walks back to Jan's door. He goes inside and closes the door. He stares at Jan then walks slowly towards her.
Jason:
"It's almost time."
He says to her comatose body before injecting her IV.
Jason:
"That should help."
He kisses her on the forehead then leaves her room.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Chad:
"Are you sure? I mean I want to know the truth, but I don't want to come between you and EJ."
Lexie:
"It's fine Chad. I want to know too. EJ would want to know too."
Chad:
"I doubt that."
Stefano and Kate walk off the elevator and see Lexie and Chad talking. The rush over to them.
Stefano:
"Chad."
Chad turns around.
Stefano:
"Where is this DNA test?"
Lexie:
"It's right here."
Stefano:
"Is it true Alexandria? Is Chad EJ's son?"
Lexie:
"The DNA test seems legit. I was going to run another test just to be sure."
Stefano:
"Do it. I want to know if Chad is my grandson."
Lexie:
"I'll prep."
Lexie walks away.
Chad:
"You really want to know if I'm your grandson?"
Stefano:
"Yes I do."
Kate:
"See Chad, I told you I'd talk to Stefano."
Chad:
"Yeah, you did. But the question is. Does he want to know the truth or is he here to make sure the truth stays hidden?"
Stefano:
"I do want to know the truth Chad. Why would I not want to?"
Chad:
"Um…let's see here. You're a DiMera and well how did you know I was here?"
Stefano:
"I wanted to know where you were so we could find out the truth."
Chad:
"Right."
Chad said sarcastically. Lexie walks back over.
Lexie:
"Okay. Are you guys ready?"
Chad:
"I am."
Stefano:
"Me too."
LUCAS' HOUSE
Sami:
"You're not going to see my kids. So you can leave now."
EJ:
"They're my kids as well and you can't deny me time with them. You've done that enough."
Sami:
"Yes I can and I will."
Sami walks over to a desk and picks up an envelope then walks back over to EJ and hands it to him.
EJ:
"What's this?"
Sami:
"Our custody agreement."
EJ opens it up and looks it over.
EJ:
"It says that you're to get full custody."
Sami:
"Yep."
EJ:
"I don't agree with this."
Sami:
"Well tough. That's the way it's going to be."
Sami says with a big smile on her face.
EJ:
"No it will not be."
EJ starts to raise his voice.
Sami:
"Quiet down. You're going to wake the kids."
EJ:
"I don't care. I want to see them. You can't keep me away from Johnny and Sydney."
Sami:
"I have and I will continue to."
EJ:
"Over my dead body."
Sami:
"Well die then so Johnny, Sydney, and I can live in peace."
EJ grabs Sami by the shoulders.
EJ:
"Listen here you little bitch…"
Sami pushes him away.
Sami:
"Keep your hands off of me."
EJ walks closer to Sami just as Roman opens the door.
Roman:
"What the hell is going on in here?"
Sami and EJ look over at Roman. Sami then looks at EJ and gives him a smirk.

Carrie:
"Stephanie, hey."
Stephanie walks towards them.
Carrie:
"Stephanie, this is Agent Derrick Matthews. Derrick, this is my cousin Stephanie."
Derrick:
"Hi."
He says and waves with a smile.
Stephanie:
"Hey."
And does the same thing back.
Derrick:
"It was nice meeting you Stephanie, but I have to get going."
He turns back to Carrie.
Derrick:
"Again, I'm sorry for your loss."
Carrie:
"Thank you."
Derrick walks away. Stephanie turns around and watches him leave then turns back to Carrie.
Stephanie:
"Wow. He's hot."
Carrie:
"Really?"
Stephanie:
"You didn't notice? Plus he has a nice butt."
Carrie and Stephanie laugh.
Carrie:
"Stephanie. Wow. I wasn't even looking."
Carrie and Stephanie sit down.
Stephanie:
"Well of course you didn't notice. You're married."
Carrie:
"Yes I am. To the most amazing man on earth."
Stephanie:
"I hope that one day I can find what you and Austin have."
Carrie:
"What do you me? As gorgeous as you are, guys should be lining up around the block just to ask you out."
Stephanie:
"Yeah right."
Eddie walks up behind Stephanie.
Eddie:
"They should be."
Stephanie turns around.
Stephanie:
"Eddie, hey."
She stands up and gives him a hug. Carrie watches and smiles.
Stephanie:
"Eddie, this is my cousin Carrie. Carrie this is Eddie."
Carrie stands up and walks over to them.
Carrie:
"Nice to meet you Eddie."
Eddie:
"Nice to meet you also. Wow Stephanie, are all the women in your family beautiful?"
Stephanie blushes.
Stephanie:
"Yeah, we're pretty good looking."
Carrie:
"So how did you two meet?"
Stephanie:
"At the hospital. Eddie was a patient."
Eddie:
"Yeah. I thought she was beautiful so I asked her out to the hospital benefit."
Carrie:
"Benefit?"
Stephanie:
"It's to help raise money for the new children's wing at the hospital."
Carrie:
"Oh that sounds great. I would love to help out and I'm sure Austin would too."
Stephanie:
"Great. I'll get you and Austin an invite."
Carrie:
"Thank you. Speaking of Austin, I'm going to check and see what is taking so long in the kitchen."
Stephanie:
"Okay, tell him I said hi."
Carrie:
"I will. You two have fun."
Carrie walks away.
Eddie:
"Oh we will."
Stephanie smiles.
Stephanie:
"So are you hungry?"
Eddie:
"Yeah. I am a little."
Stephanie:
"Cool, I'll get us some burgers and fries."
Eddie:
"My favorite."
Stephanie:
"Okay, be right back."
Eddie watches Stephanie as she heads to the kitchen and smiles. Nathan walks into The Pub and notices Eddie.
Nathan:
"You again?"
Eddie turns around.
Eddie:
"Doc, what's up?"
Nathan gets mad.
THE PARK
Derrick and Sarah bump into each other in the park.
Derrick & Sarah:
"Oh I'm sorry."
Derrick:
"Sarah? Hey."
Sarah:
"Hey. I didn't mean to bump into you."
Derrick notices she looks upset.
Derrick:
"What's wrong?"
Sarah:
"It's about my niece Jan."
Derrick:
"What did she do this time?"
Sarah:
"Nothing, she's still in a coma."
Derrick:
"Wow, it's been a really long time."
Sarah:
"Yeah and Kinsey visited her the other day and said she say her hand move. So Dr. Jonas did some test to see if there were any changes and there weren't. Now Kinsey's upset and just ran off. I can't find her anywhere and she won't answer her phone."
Derrick:
"I'm sorry about Jan."
Sarah:
"Thank you."
Derrick:
"Why don't you go home and get some rest. I'll look for Kinsey."
Sarah:
"Are you sure that's a good idea?"
Derrick:
"Maybe not, but it's the least I could do."
Sarah:
"Okay thank you. Call me as soon as you find her."
Derrick:
"I will."
Sarah walks away. Derrick takes a deep breath.
Derrick:
"So where do I even start first?"
He wonders. He turns around just as Kinsey walks through the park. They lock eyes.
Derrick:
"Where have you been? You're mother was just here looking for you."
Kinsey:
"I don't want to talk to her. Or you for that matter. I just want to be alone."
Derrick:
"Could you at least call her and let her know you're okay?"
Kinsey:
"I'll go home eventually. I'm not like you. Running away every chance I get."
Derrick:
"I deserve that."
Kinsey:
"And more of it."
Derrick:
"I know about Jan. I'm sorry. I know how close you too were."
Kinsey:
"I saw her hand move and no one believes me."
Derrick:
"I believe you."
Kinsey is surprised.
Kinsey:
"Why?"
Derrick:
"It doesn't seem like something you'd make up."
Kinsey:
"It's not."
Derrick:
"Maybe there's more to this?"
Kinsey:
"Mom and Dr. Jonas don't believe so."
Derrick:
"I have a feeling there is."
Kinsey tries to smile.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Kate is pouring herself some coffee when Daniel walks up to her.
Daniel:
"Kate?"
Kate turns around.
Daniel:
"What are you doing here? Is Chloe okay? The baby's ok?"
Kate:
"What? I don't know I have talked to her."
Daniel:
"Who's seeing her?"
Kate:
"What? She's not even here."
Daniel:
"Oh. So why are you here?"
Kate:
"Why do you care about Chloe still? She's ruining Phillip's life now. You're free to move on."
Daniel:
"Well if Chloe's not here, they why are you here?"
Kate:
"For Stefano and Chad."
Daniel:
"What's wrong with them?"
Kate:
"They're getting a DNA test done. Apparently, Chad might be EJ's biological son."
Daniel:
"I feel for Chad."
Kate smirks.
Kate:
"Just like I feel for you. You need to get over Chloe. There are so many other women out there for you chose from."
Daniel:
"You're right. I need to forget about Chloe and be my old self again."
Kate:
"That's the spirit."
Daniel walks away. Kate takes a sip of her coffee.
Kate:
"The faster you get over the tramp, the better. You deserve so much better than Chloe Lane."
Kate notices Stefano and Chad walk down the hallway. She walks over to them.
Kate:
"So, how did it go?"
Stefano:
"They took our blood. Now we're just waiting for the results."
Kate:
"How long will that take?"
Chad:
"We should know any minute now."
LUCAS' HOUSE
Sami:
"EJ was just saying how he thinks he should have the right to barge in here and demand to see Johnny and Sydney. And when I said no he started threatening me."
Roman:
"Is that so?"
EJ smiles.
EJ:
"It's obviously a bad time. I'll come by later."
Roman:
"How about you don't?"
EJ:
"You can't keep me from my kids. I'll find a way to see them again."
Sami:
"We'll see about that."
EJ:
"Yes we will."
EJ flashes one more smile before leaving. Roman walks over to the door and closes it.
Sami:
"I can't stand that man."
Roman walks back over to Sami.
Roman:
"Neither can I. he doesn't deserve to be around Johnny and Sydney."
Sami:
"He was there when the Penthouse caught on fire. He was there. He kidnapped Sydney with Anna."
Roman:
"I know. Unfortunately we need evidence to throw him in jail."
Sami:
"This is so annoying. I just want him out of my life."
Roman:
"As do I. Hopefully we can maybe nail him with something else."
Sami:
"Like what?"
Roman:
"Your shooting."
Sami:
"You know who shot me?"
Roman:
"Colin Murphy."
Sami:
"Why? I didn't do anything to him."
Roman:
"We believe he was aiming for Nicole."
Sami:
"Now that makes sense."
Roman:
"But he was working with the DiMeras."
Sami:
"How do you know that?"
Roman:
"Stefano DiMera has been sending money to him. He claims he hasn't, but we have bank account information that says otherwise."
Sami:
"Are you sure he wasn't trying to kill me to get the kids?"
Roman:
"We can't rule that out, but as of right now we assume he was trying to kill Nicole out of revenge."
Sami:
"I don't blame her. I've wanted to kill her a few times."
Roman:
"Haven't we all? Well I need to get back to the station. Are you going to be ok? Should I call someone to come stay with you?"
Just then, Will and Mia walked in.
Roman:
"Never mind, Will's here."
Will:
"What's going on?"
Sami:
"EJ was just here."
Will:
"Oh great. What did he want?"
Sami:
"To see the kids."
Roman:
"Luckily I showed up."
Will:
"Yeah luckily."
Roman:
"Well I'll see you guys later."
Roman leaves the house.
Sami:
"So Mia, what are you doing here?"
Will:
"We're just hanging out."
Mia:
"I have to use the restroom."
Mia walks to the bathroom. Sami waits until she's in there before she starts to talk.
Sami:
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from her?"
Will rolls his eyes.
THE BRADY PUB
Nathan:
"You don't listen, do you?"
Eddie:
"Neither do you."
Nathan:
"Stay away from Stephanie."
Eddie:
"I'm not. I happen to like her a lot. I want to get to know her. Take her out, maybe even kiss her, or more."
Nathan punches Eddie. Eddie rubs his face where Nathan punched him at while staring angrily at Nathan.
Eddie:
"You're going to regret that."
Eddie lunges at Nathan knocking him to the ground. Eddie punches Nathan in the face. They roll around a little till Nathan gets away. He stands up. Eddie gets up too and punches Nathan in the gut then knocks him into a table. Caroline, Austin, Carrie, and Stephanie walk out and see what's going on.
Caroline:
"What the hell is the problem?"
Austin walks over to try and break up the fight as Daniel walks in looking at his phone. He sees the fight and puts his phone away and steps in to help Austin. Nathan and Eddie still try to fight while being pulled apart.
Nathan:
"Stay away from Stephanie"
Eddie:
"No"
They scream at each other. Daniel and Austin are about to finally get them apart.
Daniel:
"Stop it both of you. What the hell is this about?
Daniel shuts as he keeps Nathan back.
Eddie:
"Yeah, why don't you tell him. Why don't you tell everyone why we're fight?"
Nathan takes a deep breath then looks around at everyone with their eyes on him.
Nathan:
"You're no good for Stephanie."
Stephanie walks over.
Stephanie:
"It's not up to you to tell me who I can see and I can't. Why don't you go and spend time with your precious Melanie."
Nathan wipes his mouth then heads for the door. Daniel stops him.
Daniel:
"Tell me what's really going on here."
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Kate:
"Well this will be a fast DNA test."
Stefano:
"Yes because we need to know right away so Alexandria put a rush on the results."
Chad:
"Can't wait till this is all over."
Stefano:
"Me too."
Lexie walks over to them.
Lexie:
"I have the results."
Everyone looks at Lexie with eager eyes.
LUCAS' HOUSE
Sami:
"Don't roll your eyes at me William. You're going to do as I say and dump Mia McCormick."
Will:
"Or else what?"
Sami:
"You're grounded until you do. No TV, no video games, no hanging out anywhere. It's straight to school and straight home to do your homework and watch the kids."
Will:
"That's all I do anyways. I'm like a live in babysitter. Plus, what's the deal anyways? Mia isn't a bad person."
Sami:
"She was working with Colin Murphy who shot me by the way. She's a liar, a con artist, and who knows what she is capable of."
Will:
"So basically you."
Sami:
"What? Mia and I are nothing alike."
Will:
"Yeah whatever."
Mia walks out of the bathroom and back into the living room.
Sami:
"Whatever? Well if you don't tell Mia…"
Mia interrupts.
Mia:
"Tell Mia what?"
Sami and Will turn to Mia.
Will:
"My mom wants me to break up with you, but I said no."
Mia smiles.
Mia:
"Cool."
Will:
"Let's get out of here."
Mia:
"Ok."
Mia walks over to Will.
Sami:
"Where are you going?"
Will opens the door. Mia walks out and stands in the doorway waiting for Will.
Will:
"Some place. Bye"
Will and Mia leave.
Sami:
"Will!"
Sami grabs her phone and calls Lucas. He doesn't answer so she leaves a message.
Sami:
"Lucas, we have a problem. It's about your son. Call me."
She hangs up and slams her phone down on the table.
Sami:
"I'm not going to let that little bitch ruin my son's life."
