219. Looking to the Field
She wanted to watch her little birds
grow their wings and fly away,
but she was often too busy
and a little blink, and they were already
beyond her sight.
Those little times she did have
to watch them fly in the sky
were fleeting, and they progressed
by leaps and bounds in between
Leaving barely a shadow
of their chick-forms
behind.
