Baker walks up to Hope.
Baker
"Hey Hope."
Hope looks over at him.
Hope
"Hey. I'm sorry for before. I hope we didn't interrupt anything."
Baker
"You didn't interrupt anything."
Hope
"Good. So how have you been?"
Baker
"Good, you? How's therapy."
Hope
"It's going great. I was skeptical at first, but it's amazing. I love it. It's so helpful and it helps me be a better person and a better mother."
Baker
"That's great. I'm glad to hear."
Hope
"So how about your hearing? Isn't it coming up soon?"
Baker
"Yes it's today actually."
Hope
"Oh wow. I'm glad I ran into you then. I want to be there for you."
Baker's shocked.
SALEM PD
Nicole
"Hmmm….no response. Am I speaking English?"
Justin
"I need to go talk with Stephanie. I'll talk to you later Bo."
Bo
"Yeah."
Justin walks away.
Bo
"You're speaking excellent English Nicole."
Nicole
"Good. So what about it? Who ran me over?"
Bo
"We're working on it."
Nicole
"You're working on it? You've been working on it for weeks now. Just working on it is not good enough. I want justice."
Bo
"That's sweet coming from you Nicole. After all you've done to the people of this town. You want justice because someone did you wrong for once."
Nicole
"This isn't about me. It's about my unborn child. That maniac that ran me over could have killed him or her."
Bo
"I will call you when I find something. Till then, leave."
Bo walks away. Nicole talks to herself.
Nicole
"Good for nothing."
Arianna walks up behind Nicole.
Arianna
"Oh Nicole, you shouldn't talk about yourself that way."
Nicole turns around to see Arianna smiling. She smirks back at her.
BO'S OFFICE
Stephanie gets up and starts pacing.
Stephanie
"Do you think I'm going to jail?"
Roman
"No way sweetheart. This was self defense. That bastard got what he deserved."
Stephanie stops.
Stephanie
"But he was still a person and I took his life."
Adrienne walks over to her.
Adrienne
"Honey, you were just protecting yourself. It's obvious you didn't mean to do what you did. That DA will have to see it your way."
Roman
"Yes, there's no way you're going to jail."
Justin walks in. Everyone looks over at him.
Roman
"What happened?"
Justin
"You're free to go, for now."
Stephanie
"What does that mean?"
Justin
"Natasha wants this to be investigated more. She's going to wait for the autopsy to make her final decision."
Roman
"That's just stupid. Just stupid. This is an obvious open and shut case."
Justin
"Ms. Crane doesn't see it that way."
Roman
"Well I'm going to make her see it that way."
Roman tries to leave, but Justin stops him.
Justin
"I think it's best that you cool off. Let me handle the DA."
Roman calms down.
Roman
"You're right. I'm going to take a walk."
Roman leaves the room.
Stephanie
"Thank you uncle Justin."
Stephanie hugs him. He hugs her back.
Justin
"You're welcome."
They stop hugging.
Justin
"Sorry to bail on you, but I have to get to court."
Stephanie
"It's fine. Aunt Adrienne's here with me."
Adrienne walks up to them.
Adrienne
"Yep. She's in great hands."
Adrienne puts her arm around Stephanie.
Justin
"Good. I'll call you later."
Stephanie
"Ok."
Justin leaves.
Adrienne
"So what do you want to do now?"
Stephanie turn and looks at Bo's desk. She flashes back to putting the surveillance video in Bo's desk then comes back. She looks up at Adrienne and smiles.
TITAN BOARDROOM
Brady and Phillip are finishing up a meeting about the hospital benefit.
Phillip
"Thank you all for coming and we'll see you tomorrow night."
Everyone gets up and leaves the boardroom. Brady walks up to Phillip who's putting some papers into a folder.
Brady
"Great work Phillip, I'm impressed."
Phillip looks up at Brady.
Phillip
"Thank you Brady. That means a lot coming from you."
Brady
"I can't tell if you're being sincere or sarcastic."
Phillip
"It depends. Were you being sincere or sarcastic?"
Brady
"Sincere"
Phillip
"Then I was being sincere too."
Phillip puts his files in his briefcase.
Brady
"So this is how it's going to be between us?"
Phillip looks up at Brady.
Phillip
"What do you mean Brady?"
Brady
"Oh stop it Phillip. If you have something to say then just say it."
Phillip
"I don't have anything to say. You're the one that seems to have plenty to say."
Brady
"Yeah you're right I do."
Phillip seems intrigued.
KIRAKIS MANSION: GARDEN
Gus is still in shock.
Gus
"Nicholas has a daughter? Why would Lawrence not want to know his granddaughter?"
Vivian
"It's a long story."
Gus
"Do tell."
Vivian
"Alright, I'll tell."
Gus
"Ok."
Vivian
"Nicholas didn't know the child existed. The woman he impregnated no good. She was not worthy enough to carry an Alamain. So Lawrence and the girl's father got rid of the kid."
Gus
"How?"
Vivian
"They gave her up for adoption."
Gus
"Hopefully to a good family."
Vivian
"Who knows, who cares."
Gus
"So you're not interested in knowing who she is?"
THE PARK
Baker
"Really? Why?"
Hope
"Why not?"
Baker
"I don't know. After everything that's happened."
Hope
"You were the one that was there for me. You helped me out. And I got Justin and Alex to work on your case for you. So I care."
Baker
"Yeah I guess so. Thanks."
Hope and Baker smile at each other. Ciara interrupts.
Ciara
"Mom."
Hope turns to her.
Hope
"Yes Ciara."
Ciara
"Can we go now? I'm bored."
Ciara looks at Baker.
Ciara
"Who's this?"
Hope
"This is my friend Richard Baker."
Ciara
"Hi.
Baker
"Hi."
Hope
"And yes we can go. We're going to see Grandma Caroline."
Ciara
"Cool. Is Claire going to be there?"
Hope
"Yes she will be."
Ciara
"Cool."
Hope
"Go say goodbye to Theo."
Ciara
"Ok."
Ciara rushes off. Hope turns to Baker.
Hope
"I'll see you at the courtroom."
Baker
"Okay."
Hope
"Bye"
Hope smiles as she walks away. Baker smiles as he watches her walk away.
SALEM PD
Arianna
"What did you do this time Nicole? Steal another baby? Frame someone? Am I getting warmer?"
Nicole
"Nothing…yet. The day is still young."
Arianna chuckles.
Nicole
"I'm here to find out the status of the crazy person that ran me over and tried to kill me."
Arianna
"Too bad they didn't succeed."
Nicole
"So you would have liked for this person to have killed Brady's baby? And here I thought you actually loved him."
Arianna
"That baby isn't Brady's. It's EJ's. And as soon as you can get that through your thick skull, the better off everyone will be."
Nicole
"Brady is the father of this baby and I can prove it."
Arianna
"How?"
Nicole
"DNA test."
Arianna
"Oh yeah I'm sure you can't change that."
Nicole
"I'm not because I know the truth and the truth is your hubby knocked me up."
Arianna throws her hands in the air.
Arianna
"Oh my gosh. Has the bleach gotten into your brain or something? This baby is not Brady's and Brady doesn't want to have anything to do with you. So just get over it."
Nicole gets into Arianna's face.
Nicole
"Brady is the father and I will not get over it. You might have him now, but I'll get him in the end. Just wait and see."
Arianna crosses her arms.
Nicole
"You thought framing you for the Salem muggings was bad. You haven't seen anything yet."
Nicole smiles then walks away. Arianna drops her arms then turns around and watches Nicole walk away.
Arianna
"Bring it on."
TITAN BOARDROOM
Phillip
"So what is it that you want to say to me."
Brady
"Still can't believe what you did to Melanie and Chloe."
Phillip
"Oh really? Come on. Melanie wanted Nathan the whole time we were together."
Brady
"Ok, well Chloe and Daniel were happy together and you ruined that."
Phillip
"Yeah I'm just a screw up. Unlike you who got Nicole pregnant then turned around and married Arianna."
Brady
"EJ would be the father of that baby."
Phillip
"And what if EJ isn't that father and you are? Are you going to do the right thing by Nicole and the baby?"
Brady
"Let me deal with that."
Phillip
"And let me deal with Chloe and the baby. You know at least I care about them. Chloe didn't have a place to go and look now she has a place to live and a job opportunity."
Brady
"Oh with that Fredrick Miller guy?"
Phillip
"Yes. He'll be at the benefit and he wants to work with her. I'm helping her get her life back on track. What are you doing for Nicole? Isn't she living with EJ? Do you really want your kid there?"
Brady stares angrily at Phillip. Phillip gets closer to Brady.
Phillip
"You can pretend that you have it all together better than me. Taking my job, having a cute little marriage, but all and all you're no better than me Brady Black."
Phillip smiles then walks away. Brady puts his hands on his hips.
BO'S OFFICE
Adrienne
"So do you have an idea?"
Stephanie
"Yeah."
Adrienne's phone rings.
Adrienne
"Sorry honey. This will just be a second."
Adrienne answers.
Adrienne
"Hello? What? Ok I'll be there for a minute."
Adrienne hangs up.
Adrienne
"I'm sorry, but there's an emergency at Cheatin' Heart."
Stephanie
"It's fine. Go ahead."
Adrienne
"Okay. I'll call you when I'm done. Or come on down later, ok?"
Stephanie
"I will I'm just gonna go to The Pub."
Adrienne
"Great. I know Caroline will love to see you."
Stephanie
"Yeah."
Stephanie and Adrienne hug then stop.
Adrienne
"Ok bye sweetheart."
Adrienne walks away. Stephanie waits for her to leave before she goes into Bo's desk and pulls out the surveillance video.
Stephanie
"Now what should I do with you?"
She says with a smile.
KIRIAKIS MANSION: GARDEN
Vivian
"Why would I?"
Gus
"If Nicholas is trying to find her, you should help him."
Vivian
"The last thing he needs to do deal with is some bratty child."
Gus
"What if you find her? Nicholas will be grateful and may even come to Salem."
Vivian thinks.
Vivian
"Or even better. I could use this child to get back at Carly."
Vivian claps and smiles.
THE PUB
Nicole walks in then sits down. She pulls out her phone and calls Chloe.
Nicole
"Hey Chloe. I'm at the Pub early. No luck at the Salem PD. I know, right?"
Arianna walks in. She walks passed Nicole. Nicole notices.
Nicole
"Okay I'll talk to you more when you get here. Ok, bye"
Nicole hangs up and walks over to Arianna.
Nicole
"Are you following me or something?"
Arianna turns around.
Arianna
"I work here."
Nicole
"What? Mrs. Brady Black is a waitress still?"
Arianna
"Yes, I'm going to still work here. You know, work for a living, unlike you."
Nicole
"I had a job and I got fired because of your father-in-law. By the way, how is everything going with that? Victor hates you just as much as he hates me and that's saying a lot."
Arianna
"I don't have time to spar with you Nicole. I have a job to do."
Nicole
"You're right, you do. Now go fetch me some water. The baby's thirsty."
Arianna rolls her eyes then walks over to the bar to get Nicole some water. Nicole turns and walks back to her table just as Stephanie walks in. Stephanie walks over to the counter and sits down. Arianna walks past and gives Nicole her water.
Arianna
"Here you go Nicole."
Arianna places the glass down on the table.
Nicole
"I changed my mind. I think I want some green tea now."
Arianna
"Coming right up."
Nicole chuckles as Arianna walks away. Stephanie turns around and looks over at Nicole then flashes back to when she stole the hospital surveillance video from Bo's office and stuck it in her purse. She flashes back and smiles. She stands up and walks towards Nicole.
