Phillip and Melanie walk into an empty exam room and close the door.
Phillip
"All you have to do is sign and our marriage is over."
Melanie
"Wow. Ok. Hand it over me."
Phillip opened the folder and pulled out the divorce papers and hands them to Melanie. She takes them from him. She looks at them for a brief second then takes a pen out of her pocket of her scrubs and signs her name in the right places. Phillip watches. After signing them she puts her pen away and hands the papers back to him. Phillip looks at them for a brief second and puts them back into the folder.
Phillip
"I will get these to Justin so he can file them today."
Melanie
"Good. I'm glad."
Phillip
"Me too. Then you can be with Nathan."
Melanie
"And you can be with Chloe."
Phillip pauses.
Melanie
"I hope you two have a happy life with your baby."
Phillip
"And I hope Nathan makes you happy."
Melanie
"He does. More than..."
Phillip
"...me?"
Melanie
"We both know this was a big mistake."
Phillip
"Yeah it was, but now we made it right."
Melanie
"Yeah."
Phillip
"Well I'm gonna get going."
Phillip pauses.
Phillip
"Goodbye Melanie."
Phillip starts to walk away.
Melanie
"Bye."
She says as Phillip walks out the door. Tears form in her eyes as she let out a slight cry.
Arianna walks into the Pub as Mimi is walking downstairs with Tyler.

"Ok Tyler, we need to go see the doctor."
Tyler
"I don't want to."
Mimi
"I know it sucks but sometimes we have to do things we don't like to."
Arianna walks up to them.
Arianna
"Like work."
Mimi giggles.
Mimi
"Oh yes."
Arianna
"Be lucky you're not at that stage of life."
Mimi
"Yes. The doctor's is nothing."
Tyler
"Ok I'll go."
Arianna
"Good."
Mimi
"Yay so no more fussing?"
Tyler
"Yeah no more fusing."
Arianna and Mimi laugh.

"Alright let's go."
Mimi looks at Arianna.

"Thank you."

"Anytime.
Arianna smiles as Mimi and Tyler walk out the Pub. She walks up to the counter as Nathan walks up.
Nathan
"Hey Ari."
Arianna
"Hey, why are you behind the counter?"
Nathan
"It's a long story, but I have to get going. I have something to take care of."
Arianna
"Ok"
Nathan takes off his apron, puts it on the counter, and leaves. Arianna seems confused.
At the hospital, Melanie wiped her tears as Lexie walks past her and up to the elevator just as Mimi and Tyler are getting off.
Lexie
"Hey guys."
Mimi
"Hey Lexie."
Lexie kneels down to Tyler's level.
Lexie
"And this must be Tyler."
Tyler
"Yep that's me."
Mimi and Lexie laugh.
Mimi
"Alright let's go with Lexie and get our check up, ok?"
Tyler
"Okay."
Lexie
"Alright, let's go."
Melanie watches as Mimi and Tyler follow Lexie to an exam room as Nathan comes off the elevator. He spots Melanie
Nathan
"Melanie."
Melanie looks over at him then rushes to him with a big smile on her face and gives him a big hug.
Melanie
"I'm so happy to see you. I have some great news."
Nathan pulls away. Melanie looks confused.
Melanie
"What's wrong?"
Nathan
"We need to talk."
Melanie
"Ok? What about?"
Nathan
"You first."
Melanie
"Ok. Phillip and I signed our divorce papers. I'm officially a single lady. Now we can date."
Nathan starts to tear up.
Melanie
"What's wrong Nathan? Did something happen?"
Nathan
"I can't do this anymore."
Melanie
"Do what?"
She says as she starts to tear up. Melanie tries to touch Nathan's hands, but he steps back away from her.
Nathan
"It's nothing you did. I have to go. I'll see you at home."
Nathan walks away. Melanie follows, but is stopped when Maxine walks up.
Maxine
"Where do you think you're going Melanie?"
Melanie turns around.
Melanie
"I need to talk to Nathan."
Maxine
"You can deal with lover boy later. Right now you need to finish filing those files or you're never leaving here on time."
Melanie
"Yes ma'am."
Melanie walks back over to the desk and starts working on the files again, but finds it hard to concentrate.
Melanie
"Why are you doing this Nathan?"
At the Pub, Arianna is cleaning the counters when Brady walks in and up to the counter. Arianna doesn't notice him.
Brady
"I have to say. The Pub has the hottest waitresses."
Arianna looks up and smiles.
Arianna
"We also have the hottest customers."
Brady
"Oh really?"
Arianna
"Yes really."
Brady leans over the counter and for a kiss. Nicole interrupts.
Nicole
"Eww. Get a room."
Brady and Arianna look at her.
Arianna
"Why don't you find a new place to terrorize?"
Nicole
"Delightful as always Arianna."
Arianna smirks.
Brady
"Ok that's enough you two. How are you and the baby?"
Nicole smiles.
Nicole
"We're doing great. I have an appointment in a few minutes. I get to see the baby today. Would you want to come?"
Before Brady could answer, EJ walks over.
EJ
"I didn't know you had an appointment today."
Nicole
"Where the hell did you come from?"
Nicole asks as she turns around.
EJ
"Outside? How else does one enter this fine establishment?"
EJ smirks.
Nicole
"Your sarcasm is getting so much better."
EJ
"Thank you."
Nicole
"Now back to what I was asking before I was so rudely interrupted."
Nicole says as she turns back around to face Brady.
Nicole
"Would you want to go with me to my appointment?"
Brady and EJ both say "Yes"
EJ
"Yes I would love to see the first glimpse at our baby."
Brady
"We don't know who the father is yet EJ."
EJ
"It obvious that this baby is a DiMera."
EJ says as he touches Nicole belly. Nicole slaps his hand away.
Brady
"It could be a Black also."
EJ
"But that would ruin your perfect little home you have with Arianna here."
Brady
"If the baby is mine, I will take care of him or her and love him or her. And Arianna and I will be fine. And that's none of your business."
Nicole smiles.
EJ
"Very well. Come on now Nicole, let's go to the hospital."
Brady watches as EJ puts his arm around Nicole. Nicole slaps it away as they walk out the door.
Arianna
"So are you going to the appointment too?"
Brady looks at Arianna.
Brady
"Yeah. I want to."
Arianna
"Then go."
Brady
"I'll see you later."
Brady walks out of The Pub. Arianna seems disappointed. Back at the hospital, Lexie is finished checking Tyler out.
Lexie
"All done."

"See, that was painless Tyler."
Tyler
"Yep."
Lexie hands him a lollipop.
Lexie
"Here you go for being such a good boy."
Tyler smiles.
Tyler
"Thank you."
Tyler takes the lollipop from Lexie and wastes no time opening it and sticking it in his mouth. Lexie pulls Mimi to the side.

"Tyler seems to be doing just find. The diet you have him on is excellent."

"I'm so glad. Thank you for everything Lexie."
Lexie
"You're welcome. I'm guess you didn't run into Phillip on your way in."

"Phillip was here?"
Lexie
"Yeah he brought his wife or ex wife their divorce papers and he's a member of the board. They're having a hospital benefit tomorrow night."

"Yeah I heard about that."
Lexie
"So when are you going to tell Phillip?"

"Tonight."
Lexie
"Good. The sooner the better."

"So when do you start working here?"
Lexie asked excitedly.

"My first shift is tomorrow night."

"Oh no. You're going to miss the benefit."

"Yeah well all the other nurses wanted off to go. And it doesn't matter to me. I've been unemployed long enough. It'll be good to get back to work."

Tyler walks up to Mimi and Lexie.

"Bye Lexie"
Tyler waves.
Lexie
"Bye Tyler."
Lexie waves back. Mimi and Tyler leave. Nicole, EJ, and Brady walk off the elevator and up to the nurse's station where Melanie is. She looks up.
Melanie
"Aw, you brought both could be daddy's to your appointment."
Nicole
"Yes. Both are very interested in seeing this baby."
Melanie
"I bet so. I'll page Dr. Walters for you and then I'll go home."
Brady
"Thank you Melanie."
Melanie pages Dr. Walters.
EJ
"Really Brady? Must you be here right now?"
Brady
"I have a right to be here and unless Nicole says otherwise, I'm not leaving."
EJ looks at Nicole.
Nicole
"I'm not going to tell him to go. He could be the father just as much as you could be. And he wants to be here so why would I want him to go?"
EJ
"Of course."
Dr. Walters walks up.
Dr. Walters
"Nicole Walker, so glad you could make it and the baby's father and brother?"
Brady
"Oh no we're not related. At least I try to believe we're not."
EJ
"We're cousins actually and I am the father."
Brady
"No I'm the father."
EJ and Brady stare at each other. Nicole smiles. Melanie walks into Maggie's. Nathan is sitting at the kitchen table.
Melanie
"Hey, I'm home."
Nathan looks at Melanie.
Melanie
"What's wrong?"
Nathan
"Everything."
Melanie worries.
