Nathan stares at Melanie sadly.
Melanie
"What's wrong?"
Nathan
"I don't know how to say this, but..."
Melanie
"Just tell me."
Nathan takes a deep breath.
Nathan
"I'm...I'm..."
Suddenly, Stephanie walks in and interrupts. Nathan and Melanie look over at her.
Stephanie
"Breaking up with you."
She smiles.
Melanie
"Ever heard of knocking bitch?"
Stephanie knocks on the door.
Stephanie
"Knock, knock"
Stephanie smiles. Melanie crosses her arms. Stephanie walks closer to them.
Melanie
"You're walking the wrong way. The door is over there. You know where you walked in and interrupted a private conversation at a place where you do not live."
Stephanie
"If you're done babbling, we can get back to the important issue here. You and Nathan are over."
Melanie turns to Nathan.
Stephanie
"Nathan, don't you have something to say to Melanie?"
Melanie
"Tell her to leave Nathan"
Stephanie
"Why should I leave?"
Stephanie stands by Nathan and touches his hand.
Stephanie
"I'm just here to see my boyfriend."
Melanie
"Your boyfriend? Did you fall and hit your head or something?"
Stephanie
"My head is fine. How about yours after your accident?"
Melanie seems confused.
Stephanie
"You look confused. Let me say it slow. You and Nathan are done. Nathan and I are together."
Melanie
"No you and Nathan aren't together. We're together. And now we can be together all the way because Philip and I signed our divorce papers today."
Stephanie
"Aww, well that sucks cuz now you're going to be all alone."
Melanie
"No, you're the one that is all alone. Nathan, tell her."
Stephanie looks at Nathan
Stephanie
"So are you going to tell her or do I have to do this the hard way?"
Nathan takes a deep breath then looks over at Melanie.
Nathan
"Stephanie and I are back together."
Melanie's heart sinks.
Melanie
"What? Why?"
Nathan
"I realize that I'm in love with Stephanie."
Melanie
"But you said you were in love with me."
Stephanie
"Well he told me he loves me too. Obviously he's lying to somebody and spoiler alert, it's not me."
Melanie
"What about Eddie?"
Stephanie
"Eddie's long gone and Nathan is the right man for me."
Melanie
"This isn't happening. It's all a nightmare."
Melanie puts her hands over her eyes. Stephanie pulls her arms down.
Stephanie
"This is reality and you just need to accept it."
Melanie pulls away from Stephanie.
Melanie
"Don't touch me you bitch."
Stephanie laughs. Nathan stands between them.
Nathan
"Ok that's enough."
Melanie
"I can't believe you Nathan."
Nathan looks into Melanie's eyes that are filled with tears.
Melanie
"I guess I never knew you."
Melanie rushes out the door. Stephanie laughs.
Nathan
"You bitch."
Nathan turns around to Stephanie.
Stephanie
"You know the more you call me a bitch, the more it turns me on."
Nathan
"You're going to pay for hurting Melanie."
Stephanie
"I'm going to pay?"
Stephanie yells.
Stephanie
"Ha. I am always paying for Melanie. First with Max then with Phillip and finally with you, but you know what? No more. It's that bitch gets what's coming to her and more."
Nathan
"You can't force me to be in a relationship with you."
Stephanie
"I hold all the cards. You have to do what I say unless you want to tell the truth, but then you'd just send Melanie to prison or even worse, feed her to Nicole Walker and the DiMeras."
Nathan
"I don't know how or when, but I'll get Melanie back and make this all go away."
Stephanie
"Yeah you keep thinking that."
Nathan shakes his head then leaves. Stephanie rolls her eyes. Her phone rings. She goes into her purse to pull it out and the key to Eddie's safe deposit box falls out. She bends down to pick it up and stares at it.
Stephanie
"Time to find out what's in that safe deposit box."
Stephanie smiles. At Cheatin Heart, Adrienne's on the phone leaving Stephanie a message.
Adrienne
"Hey Steph, it's your aunt. I'm just checking in on you. Call me back or even better come down to the Cheatin' Heart. Dinner and drinks on me. Love you, bye."
Adrienne hangs up just as Phillip walks in. She looks up at him.
Phillip
"Hey Adrienne."
Adrienne
"Hey Phillip. What can I get ya?"
Phillip
"Oh nothing. I'm just here to drop these off to Justin."
Phillip holds up the envelope containing his and Melanie's divorce papers.
Adrienne
"He's in the back; I'll let him know you're here."
Phillip
"Thank you."
Adrienne walks to the back to get Justin. Phillip looks over and sees Daniel having a drink with a blonde woman. They're flirting with one another then they stand up holding hands then walk past Phillip, not noticing him, and leave the Cheatin Heart. Phillip feels confused. Justin and Adrienne walk from the back.
Justin
"Phillip"
Phillip looks over as Justin walks towards him.
Phillip
"Justin, hey."
Justin
"Melanie already signed?"
Phillip
"Yep she couldn't wait to sign so she can go be with Nathan."
Phillip hands Justin the envelope.
Justin
"I'm sorry Phillip."
Phillip
"It's fine. We weren't meant to be and they are and I hope that they are happy together."
Justin
"There's someone out there for you. I just know. A handsome, you guy like yourself will have another beautiful lady in his arms in no time."
Phillip smiles showing off his dimples just as Chloe walks in. Justin looks over at her then back at Phillip.
Justin
"Maybe sooner rather than later."
Justin says slapping his arm then hinting that Phillip should turn around. Phillip does and sees Chloe. They smile at one another.
Justin
"I'm going to leave you two alone."
Justin says as he walks away. Chloe and Phillip meet each other halfway.
Phillip
"I see you got my message."
Chloe
"Yep. Sorry I didn't respond. I was talking to your brother."
Phillip
"Lucas?"
Chloe
"No, Rex."
Phillip
"Rex?"
Chloe
"Yeah he and Mimi are back in town. And guess what? Not only are they back together, but they're getting married."
Phillip
"Oh wow. That's cool. We should hang out with them some time."
Chloe
"Definitely."
Phillip
"So are you ready to go home?"
Chloe
"Yes I am."
Phillip and Chloe walk out of Cheatin Heart together. At the hospital, Nicole, Brady, and EJ are waiting for Dr. Walters to do the ultrasound. EJ's pacing while Brady is sitting next to Nicole's side.
EJ
"How much longer do we have to wait?"
Nicole
"Be patient."
Brady
"You know you can leave if you want."
EJ
"Nice try Brady, but I'm not going anywhere. I want to see my baby."
Nicole
"Our baby."
EJ
"So you admit it."
Nicole
"I was talking to Brady."
Brady smiles. Dr. Walters walks in.
Dr. Walters
"Sorry it took so long."
Nicole
"It's fine Dr. Walters."
Brady
"We were waiting patiently. Well most of us."
He says as he looks at EJ. EJ gives Brady the evil eye.
Dr. Walters
"Alright let's take a look at the baby."
Nicole
"Yay!"
Dr. Walters sets up the ultrasound. He places the transducer on Nicole's tummy. They all look at the screen as the baby shows up. EJ moves closer to Nicole.
Nicole
"Oh my gosh."
Nicole says with a smile. They began to hear the heartbeat.
Nicole
"Isn't this great?"
Brady and EJ
"Yes."
They both smile.
Nicole
"This is a miracle. I never thought I'd get this chance again."
EJ
"So when can we do this DNA test?"
Nicole
"You just had to ruin the moment."
EJ
"I'm just being realistic."
Dr. Walters
"Well this is a difficult pregnancy so its best that you wait till the baby is born to do a DNA test. Just to be on the safe side."
Nicole
"That's fine with me."
EJ
"Oh course it is."
Dr. Walters removes the transducer from Nicole's tummy.
Dr. Walter
"Everything looks great. We can set up an appointment in a couple of weeks and by then we can tell the sex."
Nicole
"Yes. Can't wait. I think it's a girl."
EJ
"I think it'll be a boy."
Nicole
"What do you think Brady?"
Brady
"I...I don't know. Um...I just want a healthy baby."
EJ
"Well then you and Arianna better get busy then. Come now Nicole, let's get you home."
Dr. Walters
"Ok well here are copies of the ultrasound for all."
Dr. Walters hands everyone a pic.
Dr. Walters
"I'm going to leave now. Nicole, don't forget to take your vitamins. You guys have a good night."
Dr. Walters leaves the room. Nicole starts to get up. Brady stands up and helps her up.
Nicole
"Thank you."
Brady
"You're welcome."
Nicole
"Not for just helping me up but for coming."
Brady
"Of course."
Nicole hugs Brady. EJ gets mad.
EJ
"Ok that's enough. Let's go."
Nicole looks at Brady.
Nicole
"Bye."
Then kisses him on the cheek. Then walks towards EJ.
EJ
"Have a goodnight Brady."
Nicole walks out the door. EJ is behind her but stops and smiles at Brady before leaving. Brady looks at the ultrasound picture and smiles. Arianna walks in and sees him looking at the picture, but he doesn't notice her.
Brady
"I could be a dad and you maybe my baby. It's so crazy."
Arianna gets upset and leaves.
