It's almost time for the hospital benefit and everyone's getting ready. At the Kiriakis mansion, Joy shows up to get ready with Chloe. Chloe opens the door.
Chloe
"Hey Joy."
Joy
"Hey. I love your hair."
Chloe
"Thanks. Let's head upstairs and get ready."
Chloe closes the door and heads upstairs as Joy follows. In the living room, Vivian is checking herself out in the mirror as Gus walks through the back door. Vivian sees him in the mirror. She's turns around.
Vivian
"Finally you got here."
Gus
"Sorry madam. I had to make sure the information I got was correct."
Vivian
"So was it? Did you find Nicholas's daughter?"
Gus
"No I didn't."
Vivian
"Really?"
Gus
"Yes, but I found a lead."
Vivian
"Do tell."
Gus
"She was adopted by a family in Chicago."
Vivian
"Chicago? Why, well that's so close. We can to Chicago."
Victor walks in.
Victor
"What's this about Chicago?"
Vivian
"Oh Victor, darling how are you?"
Victor
"That doesn't answer the question."
Vivian
"Gus and I are going on a little vacation there."
Victor
"Why Chicago?"
Vivian
"It's a beautiful place. I thought you loved Chicago?"
Victor
"I do. I'm just wondering why there? Chicago's way too close. May I suggest some place in Europe?"
Gus
"Europe is very nice this time of year."
Vivian
"Yes, but we're going to Chicago."
Victor
"Well don't hurry home."
Vivian
"Oh Victor, I know you'll miss me."
Victor
"Sure I'll miss you, like heartburn."
Vivian
"You can do like they say and front, but I know how you really feel about me Victor."
Victor
"I highly doubt it."
Vivian
"We'll I better finish getting ready for the benefit tonight. Gus, can you make all the arraignments? I want to leave first thing tomorrow."
Gus
"Yes Madam."
Gus hurries out the back door.
Victor
"I'm glad you're not ready. I would hate to think that was your ready look."
Victor chuckles. Vivian leaves the room. Upstairs, Chloe helps Joy with her makeup.
Joy
"Wow, I love it."
Joy says as she looks into the mirror.
Chloe
"Hopefully this look goes well with your dress since I haven't seen it yet."
Joy
"Oh it will. I'm going to put it on right now."
Joy gets up and rushes over to change into her dress. In the hospital locker room, things are getting hot and heavy between Nathan and Melanie. They kiss each other passionately. Melanie takes off Nathan's shirt. Nathan is about to take off Melanie's, but stops and walks away from her.
Nathan
"I don't want to do this."
Melanie catches her breath.
Melanie
"It didn't seem that way to me."
Nathan
"I meant not like this."
Melanie
"What, do you want to have mood music and candles?"
Nathan
"No I meant I can't do this to you or to Stephanie."
Melanie
"You don't want Stephanie so you're not doing anything to her. But you should be doing me right here, right now."
Nathan walks up to Melanie and kisses her softly on her lips for a short moment then steps back.
Nathan
"We will be together, I promise you that."
Melanie
"You better not be lying to me Horton."
Melanie stares at Nathan then straightens her scrubs before leaving the locker room. Nathan takes a deep breath then puts his shirt back on.
At Stephanie's, Stephanie can't believe her eyes.
Stephanie
"Eddie?"
Eddie
"That's my name. Too bad I never got to hear you scream it."
Stephanie
"You're dead."
Eddie
"Am I?"
Stephanie seems confused. Eddie sits down on her couch and puts his feet on her table.
Stephanie
"I don't know."
Eddie
"Well you did figure out that Melanie isn't so guilty after all. So you do know something."
Stephanie
"If she didn't do it, then who did it?"
Eddie
"Do you really want to know that? Because I think you would rather Melanie go to prison? Then that way you can have Nathan all to yourself."
Eddie laughs. Stephanie walks over to him.
Stephanie
"What's so funny?"
Eddie
"That you have to go through all of this just to get a guy. It's kinda pathetic."
Stephanie
"I'm pathetic? You're the one that tried to rape me. You can't get it any other way."
Eddie laughs some more.
Stephanie
"Stop laughing."
Eddie
"I can't help it."
Stephanie gets angry. She picks up and pillow and jumps on Eddie to smother him.
Stephanie
"DIE! DIE! DIE!"
She screams. Nathan walks in.
Nathan
"What the hell?"
Stephanie stops and looks over at him. At the Kiriakis mansion, Chloe finally gets to see Joy in her dress. It's a long, pink sequin dress with a matching mask. She twirls around in it.
Chloe
"Wow, you look like a princess."
Joy
"That's what dad said."
Chloe
"Aww. My little sister is all grown up."
Joy
"And my big sister has grown up too."
Joy touches Chloe's belly.
Chloe
"Yep. I'm going to be a mom. I never thought this would happen."
Joy
"And now it is with Phillip."
Chloe
"Never imagined it would be with Phillip. I never thought I'd see him again after Brady and I moved away, but then I came back and there he was. The rest is history."
Joy
"I think it's just the beginning."
Chloe smiles. Downstairs, Gus walks back in the living. Victor is going over some files. He notices Gus.
Victor
"You again."
Gus freezes.
Gus
"I'm looking for Madam Vivian."
Victor
"She's upstairs putting on her face. It might be awhile."
Vivian walks in.
Vivian
"I'm right here Gus."
Victor and Gus look over at Vivian who's in a long, maroon dress with diamond sequins all over and a matching mask.
Gus
"You look beautiful Madam."
Victor
"Good thing there won't be any children there. You'd scare them away."
Vivian
"Oh stop it Victor. I know you love it."
Victor
"You really don't know me, do you? Well I'm off to change."
Vivian
"Thank goodness. I thought you were going to wear that suit to the benefit."
Victor
"On second thought, maybe I should."
Vivian
"Victor please."
Victor
"Fine, I'll change."
Victor looks at Gus.
Victor
"And you be gone by the time I get back."
Gus
"Yes sir."
Victor heads to his room to get ready.
Vivian
"Speaking of dreadful outfits, tell me you're not wearing that to the benefit."
Gus
"No, I wasn't planning on going."
Vivian
"Why not?"
Gus
"I don't have a date."
Vivian
"What am I? Chopped liver?"
Gus
"I thought Victor was your date?"
Vivian
"You really think Victor would escort me into the benefit?"
Gus thinks.
Gus
"Is this a trick question?"
Vivian
"Oh never mind. Now tell me, did you get all the arraignments taken care of?"
Gus
"Yes, a car will pick you up tomorrow at noon and take us to Chicago."
Vivian
"Excellent. That give me more time to prepare."
Gus
"Prepare for what?"
Vivian
"To get back at Carly of course. What is with you tonight Gus?"
Gus seems confused.
Vivian
"It wasn't a question."
Gus
"But..."
Vivian
"Oh never mind."
Gus
"So how exactly are you going to use Nicholas and his daughter to get back at Carly?"
Vivian smiles. Upstairs, Chloe puts on her dress. It's bright red and is short in the front and long in the back. She has a feathery mask to match.
Joy
"I love it."
Chloe
"Thank you. I'm glad it still fits."
Joy
"It does perfectly. Phillip is going to love it."
Chloe laughs.
Chloe
"I hope so."
Joy
"I know so."
Chloe coughs a little.
Joy
"Are you ok?"
Chloe
"Yeah, I guess I just need some water."
Joy
"I'll go get you some."
Chloe
"Thank you."
Joy heads downstairs to get the water.
Vivian
"Nicholas and the little brat's presence alone will send Carly into a tailspin and I will love it."
Gus
"That's all? I thought there was going to be more to this."
Vivian
"In do time. I need to meet Nicholas' brat first to see what she's capable of first."
Gus
"Ok."
Vivian
"What?"
Gus
"It's just your last plot failed and this one seems like it will too."
Joy reaches the bottom step and is about to walk into the living room when she see Vivian and Gus.
Vivian
"Oh when I tried to convince that Chloe Lane that Carly was sleeping with Daniel. What good did that do?"
Joy freezes and steps behind the door to listen.
Gus
"Chloe responded by sleeping with Phillip and now she's pregnant with his child."
Vivian
"Yes and Carly's living happily ever after with Bo Brady. Oh well."
Joy turns to walk back upstairs when she bumps into Phillip.
Phillip
"Joy, what are you doing?"
Joy's nervous. Back at Stephanie's, Nathan is shocked by Stephanie's actions.
Nathan
"What are you doing?"
Stephanie
"Don't you see? Eddie's alive and I'm trying to kill him."
Nathan seems confused.
Nathan
"Eddie's dead. You killed him already."
Stephanie looks down and notices Eddie's gone.
Stephanie
"He was just here. I know it."
Nathan
"Yeah and Santa Claus is real."
Stephanie walks over to him.
Stephanie
"I'm telling you the truth."
Nathan
"Look, you probably saw him because you're here and this is where he died."
Stephanie
"Maybe. Why are you here?"
Nathan
"I came here to get your dress."
Stephanie
"What? Why?"
Nathan
"I figured you wouldn't want to come here after everything, but since you're here you can get your own damn dress."
Nathan turns to leave. Stephanie stops him.
Stephanie
"Where are you going?"
Nathan turns around.
Nathan
"I'm going to Maggie's to change."
Stephanie
"No you're not. Melanie's going to be there."
Nathan
"Melanie's at work still and if she is then what?"
Stephanie
"I will go to Bo and turn her in."
Nathan
"You can stop me and Melanie from seeing each other. We work together and she lives with my grandmother. This is temporary anyways. So get over yourself and leave me alone."
Nathan turns to leave again, but Stephanie stops him.
Stephanie
"Wait."
Nathan turns back around.
Nathan
"What?"
Stephanie
"There's something I need to tell you. It's about the accident."
Nathan seems curious.
