A/N: Whoot new chapter! *dances*

I would like to take this moment and explain a few things about this chapter.

This chapter marks the beginning of my official plot and story idea, the events previous to what is going to happen were only a lead up, a way to integrate Ana into the Naruto world and life as a Shinobi. After this chapter the story shifts away from the events that happen in the Naruto timeline.

Disclaimer: I don't own.

Enjoy~

When things don't go according to plan, do you change the plan? Or do you struggle on in the hopes that the plan will get back on track? Sasuke had a plan, it was a relatively simple plan, kill his brother and revive his clan. He had it all planned out, he would use Orochimaru's knowledge and power to get stronger so he could defeat Itachi, then find a girl. Of course the latter of the two would be easier, there wasn't a girl in the Hidden Countries who could resist him. He was an Uchiha, his name held prestige and influence, so finding a woman to have his child would be simple. Then once this was complete things would return to normal and he'd be happy. It was planned out. But then huge wrench that went by the name of Ana was thrown into the machine, utterly destroying those plans.

The witch was sitting across from him now, flinging the peas they had received as part of their dinner at him. She would balance a pea on the end of her chopstick and once it was secure she would hurl it at him, of course most of them missed but the odd few that hit their mark made his eye twitch with annoyance. He tried his very best to ignore her and it was working rather well for him until he felt the brush of her magic rubbing against him. His body responded to it instantly and he was overly dissatisfied at the fact she had this power over him. No other girl had ever managed to seduce him so fully, even with their body's pressed against him, writhing in pleasure under him. Yet Ana had only to expand her aura and he was turned from cold and emotionless to a hormonal cesspit of lust.

It also made him angry that she knew the effect she had on him, her red eyes gleaming with satisfaction every time she made him aroused. She'd been with them a month and he had yet to get revenge on her for each time she made him aroused. She would just laugh off his attempts and disappear, it was beyond frustrating. To make matters worse, Orochimaru and Kabuto found the whole thing hilarious. His pride and ego were suffering and it wasn't fair. He would have to do something soon.

"I'm going to be leaving today, I might be back but I dunno. I don't like making plans, they always go wrong," she gave Sasuke a pointed look, making him growl in anger, "I just go where the wind takes me."

"Where are you going?" Sasuke grit out, angry that she was leaving and he wouldn't get his revenge.

"Oh I don't know, maybe I will go to Suna," she had been meaning to go see Gaara for a while, but teasing Sasuke had been too hard to resist. "Gaara's a good friend of mine, we even shared a first kiss, and he's such a sweetie. Unlike someone I know," once again her gaze drifted to Sasuke.

"Gaara was your first kiss?" Sasuke asked in both disbelief and jealousy.

"Oh did you wish it was you?" Ana teased with a hint of maliciousness, "who knows maybe Gaara will be the first of a lot of things."

"No," Sasuke hissed with narrowed eyes, he would not lose the kazekage, "you're not allowed to go."

"Oh," she rose a mocking eyebrow before narrowing her eyes dangerously. "What makes you think you're the boss of me? You think just because we kissed you somehow own me? Please, the fact you think so highly of yourself just pisses me off, I hate to break it to you Uchiha but you aren't special."

With that said she disappeared with a small pop, leaving behind a seething Sasuke and a semi-shocked snake sanin.

OoO

Naruto hadn't seen Sakura in a month, any time he saw a pink head in the crowd he simply turned around and went the opposite way. He hadn't spoken to Sai or Yamato either, in fact he hadn't spoken much to anyone. All except Team Gai, who strangely enough took him in and began to train him as one of their own. They were friends with Ana and after Naruto explained the whole situation to them they were rightfully worried. Especially Neji, who had demanded they go out and look for her, the Hyuuga had found himself very attached to the woman who told him his eyes were pretty.

"C'mon Naruto, let's go faster," Lee said encouragingly clearly not seeing the sweat that was pouring down Naruto's face. They had been running around the village all day, normally Naruto would have been fine, but Lee and Gai's form of training involved weights and each week they added more. Still though it was worth it for the end result. Naruto would be stronger and he would be able to bring both Ana and Sasuke back to him.

"Faster," Naruto nodded in agreement, speeding up and ignoring the pain in his muscles. I will become stronger, not only for Ana and Sasuke but for myself as well. I cannot allow myself to be manipulated any longer, I have to grow up.

Deep inside his body, hidden behind the seal, Kurama began to respect his blonde haired host. He had been angry when they had left the witch behind, angry at the pink haired atrocity, angry at the blonde for the unnecessarily harsh words. But mostly he was angry with himself, because he could do nothing but sit in his cage while the girl broke. The green eyed girl was special to him, though he didn't fully understand why, she made him feel calm and treasured. She made him feel loved and that was something he hadn't felt since Rikudo Sennin.

He had thought Naruto weak, too trusting and gullible. But that had changed now, every day the blonde woke at the crack of dawn and trained. Perhaps it will soon be time for me to tell him the truth, let him wield my chakra and bond with me. Kurama was unsure of how Naruto would take that, but he knew one thing for sure, they had to get Ana back. Before the Akatsuki realised who she truly was and the power she held within her blood. Kuruma could only hope Naruto was strong enough.

Ana sat in a tree, idly biting into an apple, her leg hanging over the branch and swinging back and forth. She hadn't gone to Suna, she was unsure what seeing Gaara would do to her psyche, though she knew it wouldn't harm her per say but it would help green eyes. There was one reason she had left Sasuke behind and that was because of the headaches. She experienced them more frequently with each passing day. At first it was an itch, a slight niggling pressure against her forehead, something she could easily ignore. But then it grew stronger until the last time she experienced one she passed out. Luckily she was in her bedroom and her silencing charms held strong, but Sasuke was far too curious for his own good, if he found out then it wouldn't be long before Orochimaru did. While Sasuke wasn't much of a threat to her in the long run, Orochimaru would certainly take advantage of her weakness.

She knew when one was coming, she began to feel tingly and numb and then the pain would start. It would be minor, like she felt now, but it would quickly build to its crescendo until she could hear nothing but the roar of wild winds and see nothing but blurs. It frightened her the first time it happened but after two more times she knew what to expect more or less. She rubbed her forehead and jumped down from the tree, throwing her half eaten apple to the side. She took a step and crumbled to the ground, she panted hard as the pain struck her hard, this was different than before more sudden and a hell of lot more painful. She thought the torture curse was bad, but this was worse and nothing could describe the pain she felt.

She looked up into the tree she had just been sitting on and stared at the masked figure that now sat there. He gave her a mocking wave, the movement blurring slightly as her vision worsened and she sank into a void of red clouds, floating along a black sky.

"Senpai look a girl!" Tobi's voice washed over Deidara, whose eyes twitched in response. Tobi had been at it for two straight hours, pointing out every rock, butterfly and tree they saw. It was safe to say the blonde was annoyed at his companion.

"There is no girl Tobi," Deidara muttered as he tried to resist the urge to blow the masked shinobi up with his chakra clay.

"She looks really hurt Senpai," Tobi continued, pointing in an overly dramatic way, but Deidara would not look. He wouldn't, he really would not… Tobi was right, there was a girl.

The blonde took a closer look and smirked, it was a girl he knew, and well in all honesty he knew a lot of girls. But this girl was the one who killed his previous partner Sasori, he approached her carefully and examined her, she was unconscious but seemed unharmed. Tobi poked her once, twice, thrice and would have continued poking her if Deidara hadn't shoved him away. "Ana," he said her name slowly, but still she remained unmoving, laid out before him like a porcelain doll, beautiful and unmarred. Suddenly he understood exactly what Sasori meant when he said art was eternal beauty.

"You know her?" Tobi asked before giggling, "Deidara knows the pretty lady!"

"She killed Sasori," Deidara muttered.

"What!?" Tobi shouted in an overly loud manner, "but she's so tiny! And Sasori senpai was strong."

"She still killed him," there was a thoughtfulness to his tone as he wondered what he would do with her. It seemed such a waste to kill her, he had the desire to see her beauty last or at least last until he got bored with her.

"What do we do with her senpai?"

"We take her back to the hideout and keep her locked up," he picked her up in a gentle manner, his camera lens zooming in, he wanted to memorise her features. "She could prove useful," he didn't care for what their leader would use her for, all he knew was that she fascinated him in a way that hadn't been done before. An artist always strove for a more striking piece of inspiration after all.

"She's pretty," Tobi said nodding as though agreeing to something Deidara hadn't said. Behind his mask, he was smirking.

Ana recognised the place around her, it was Dumbledore's Office, a place she would never forget. There was the cabinet that hid the Pensieve, the cabinets with the strange trinkets and devices, the desk which was a sort of organised chaos. Fawkes' perch stood by the stairs as it always had, though the phoenix was absent, and the old high backed chair sat behind the desk. But the figure that was sat in the chair was not the old wizard with twinkling blue eyes. He looked as though he could have been handsome, if it wasn't for the sunken cheeks and too pale skin.

"The first time I met you," he began slowly, "you didn't have a name. When you arrived on Earth you went by a different name, Merlin."

"Excuse me?" Ana asked confused.

"Your soul dear child," the man said, a placating smile on his face, "your face may change but the soul does not. I should know, I am the one who guides all souls to the afterlife. But your soul is a particularly troublesome one."

"You are Death?" Ana asked him and he nodded slowly, "I'm dead?"

"No child you are not, you are the owner of the Hallows and as such it grants you certain abilities. Though you are not immortal, you can die after all, I have no idea where such a silly notion like immortality came from. To cheat death forever, pah, silly mortals and their ideals. Even the tale of the Hallows clearly depicts the three brothers dying." He was amused for a moment or two before he became serious once again, "however it does mean the stream of time and dimensions can be bended around you. Didn't you ever wonder how you came to be in the Hidden Countries? It is in another dimension to the one you grew up in, but it was the one your soul originally came from."

"I can time travel and dimension travel?"

"Yes, you pass through the realm of death and into the other times or dimensions. Within my realm time does not exist, nor do the worlds, making travel between them easy for me. Throughout every world there is only one Death, though I have many names. Would you like to hear how you came to be in this world?"

"I would," she nodded and Death smiled.

"I am omniscient, as you must know, nothing affects me and I can watch the many worlds as I see fit. I suppose you would liken it to a movie, I watch it play out and rarely do I intervene. However I couldn't sit back while I watched as Otsusuki Kaguya plunge the Hidden Countries into darkness. So I gifted her sons with the knowledge on how to defeat her, and instructions to spilt the Juubi into the Bijuu that are around today , then I sent your soul to them. They had their mother's powers; Chakra but you had different powers; magic. The two were entirely different to each other and yet they resonated with each other, allowing you the ultimate control over the Bijuu for only your magic could placate, soothe and guide them." He sighed deeply and rubbed his temples.

"But even the best laid plans sometimes go wrong, Kaguya was able to seal her will and give it form in Black Zetsu. Kaguya's will has been manipulating events for a very long time but I was unable to do anything to stop it, that is until now. You died a long time ago and your soul was reincarnated to the world you grew up on, but your powers remained and for the first time you were given a name. Merlin, the most powerful sorcerer to have existed, once again you took on the role of a guide and guided the noble King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. I waited patiently for you to be reincarnated back into the Hidden Countries but it never happened. Then something happened that rather surprised me, Ana Potter, the girl whose soul I had once treasured above all others, had gathered all the Hallows and I was able to guide you into the world of the Hidden Countries."

"You created that door, the one that appeared after the battle," Ana whispered with wide eyes.

"Yes I did," he nodded, "and things looked good for a while, until everything changed when your mind shattered. You were breaking from the inside out, that is why you were suffering from the headaches. Currently your body is being transported to Akatsuki headquarters, where you will become a puppet for Black Zetsu and you will become the key that will destroy the world, along with its inhabitants. I have seen it."

"No!" her eyes widened and the prominent red that they had been shimmered with a green light, "I refuse, I wouldn't let that happen."

"You don't have a choice," Death stated with an uncaring shrug, "you are weak."

"I am not weak!" Ana protested, standing a little taller and slowly the red in her eyes receded, the brilliant green returning but the red didn't disappear completely, instead it formed three rings, one around the iris, one in the middle of the pupil and one around the edge. "I am Ana Potter, the Chosen One, I defeated the most powerful dark wizard in all of magical history. I would not let this Black Zetsu guy turn me into his mindless little puppet. I would not destroy the world, not when there are people I love within it."

"People you love?"

"Yes, all those I have made friends with and interacted with. Naruto… I would rather die than allow myself to be used to harm him."

"Naruto does not like you."

"I don't care, he is my friend regardless and I protect my friends."

"Good, I knew I could count on you," Death smiled, leaning forwards eagerly.

"Huh?" She was confused.

"The future I saw can be rewritten, but it requires a huge sacrifice on your part," he seemed almost excited and yet dejected at the same time, "I have helped you create a temporary balance within your mind. Solely because what I am about to ask of you is not something you should consider lightly. I told you that you have the power to bend the fabric of time, I want you to go back to when this started, to when Black Zetsu began to manipulate the Uchiha Clan and stop him from ever sinking his claws into them."

"That sounds simple enough," Ana said frowning, wondering why he told her not to take it lightly.

"You would change things drastically Ana, when you return it will not be the place you knew. Naruto, all those you have met, will not remember you, when you return it will be as if you never existed at all."

Awful things happen to those who meddle with time, she thought as she remembered the time turner from her third year. She wanted to deny him, tell Death to find someone else, she didn't want to be forgotten she wanted to be selfish and say no. But Death had brought her back, he had given Green Eyed Ana the courage and determination to return no matter temporary it was, both Ana's had merged together. Combining the ruthlessness and playfulness of Dark Ana with the kindness and bravery of Green Eyed Ana. She owed him one for that, even she knew she couldn't handle being so fragmented and torn, she would have sank into insanity and destroyed herself.

But could she do it? Could she go into the past, knowing the present would be changed? She had done it before to save Sirius, but that had only been a few hours and he remembered her. Naruto would never have met her if it wasn't for Death bringing her here and if she changed the past, Death would no longer have a reason to send her to the Hidden Countries. She would be forgotten, left to linger in the memories, alone once more. Loneliness was the worst form of torture, it brought only darkness. Even still, accepting was the logical choice. Accepting meant she would be changing things for the good.

"Naruto would have his parents, so would Sasuke."

Her eyes went wide, the memories she had gotten from Dark Ana had told her the truth about the Uchiha Massacre, the reason why Sasuke went rogue for revenge. Naruto, who had suffered so much at the hands of the villagers would grow up happy, loved and adored. He would get a chance that she would never have. Could she deny him the one thing she had wanted the most in the world? Could she deny him his mother and father? If she didn't accept she would be as good as killing his parents herself.

"I didn't say you had to go alone though did I?"

"What do you mean?"

"You can bend the fabric of time," Death repeated slowly.

"I can take others with me?" she asked with wide eyes.

"Yes, though the ritual is more complicated and involves a series of runes and the light of the moon viewed through purified waters."

"What would happen to those who I take with me?"

"Nothing, it will be like what happened with Sirius, you and your companions will remember what you have done, and gain the memories of how things are in the present. For example if Naruto were to go with you, he would remember this current time and his journey to the past, when he returns the Naruto of the changed present would merge with him. Giving him the memories he doesn't possess of his changed upbringing. He would remember two lives just like you remember what Dark Ana has done."

"I see," Ana responded thoughtfully, wondering if she could take Naruto back with her if he'd even want to go. He was loyal to the village and wouldn't want to leave it, she knew that, but she couldn't help but hope.

"You should take Sasuke with you," Death told her suddenly, startling her with the suggestion. "He is an Uchiha, one whose life has been severely affected by Kaguya's will, he desires his revenge so let him get it by changing what happens. Where you are going, you'll need an Uchiha for only Sasuke can fully understand the powers of the Sharingan."

"I don't like Sasuke," she muttered sourly, though her memories of him suggested anything but.

"Oh it didn't seem like that to me," Death told her with a knowing smirk.

"Fine," she told him, "I will take Sasuke, but only if he agrees, the same with Naruto."

"I figured that is what you would say," Death nodded solemnly, "then I shall gift you with the knowledge of the ritual, and a very brief history of Uchiha and Senju clans."

"Senju?"

"You will know once you awaken," Death looked out of the window for a moment, "you will have to act fast when you do though, for now your body is in the hands of Deidara and Tobi. They were taking to you to the Akatsuki base, but they have been side tracked by the appearance of the three tails. When you do wake up, Naruto will be close by, for they are trying to get the Sanbi away from Akatsuki hands. Orochimaru's little group however are hindering that."

A/N: Well, there you have it, the official shift into part two of the story! I understand that it might be a shock to you, but this was always going to happen.

Ana's mind is still not okay, far from it, I'm reiterating what Death told her as a reminder. The stability he has given her is only temporary, she still has to piece her own mind back together.

If you have any queries or worries about the shift in plot please PM me and I will do my best to answer any questions and clear things up.

Please Review.
