Phillip and Chloe continue to kiss on stage as Shawn and Belle walk in.
Shawn
"I see we missed a lot."
Belle
"Oh my gosh!"
She says with delight. Phillip and Chloe stop kissing and gaze into each other's eyes.
Phillip
"You were amazing. Great job."
Chloe
"Great job?"
Chloe asks confusedly.
Phillip
"Your singing."
Chloe
"Oh I thought you meant."
Phillip
"Oh that. Well you always amazing at that too."
They smile at one another. Rick interrupts.
Rick
"Well that was some performance and I don't mean the singing."
Rick pats Phillip on the shoulder before walking off the stage.
Belle
"Bravo, bravo."
She claps. Phillip and Chloe turn to her and laugh.
Phillip
"I guess they saw our performance."
Chloe
"I think so."
Henry wonders why Joy's so quiet.
Henry
"What's on your mind gorgeous?"
Joy
"What?"
Henry
"You seem to be in deep thought."
Joy
"Oh. I'm just amazed at my sister's performance and then that kiss."
Henry
"Oh yes. Your sister is very talented."
Joy
"Thank you."
Henry
"Well it's getting late. Do you want me to take you home?"
Joy
"No it's fine. I'm going to stay and go home with my sister."
Henry
"Ok then. Bye."
Henry lays a quick kiss on Joy before walking away.
Joy
"Wow."
Across the room, Gabi finds Chad. Chad seems confused.
Gabi
"Chad, there you are. I've been looking for you."
Chad
"What?"
Gabi
"Are you ok?"
Chad
"Yeah. I just had a run in with EJ."
Gabi
"What happened?"
Chad
"He rather put up a fight for Johnny and Sydney than for me."
Gabi
"They are his kids. So why wouldn't he? And what does it matter to you?"
Chad
"Because I'm his son."
Gabi
"What?"
Chad
"Exactly what I said when I found out."
Jamie and Mia have it out.
Mia
"Why do you need to tell me off?"
Jamie
"Why not? You ungrateful little bitch."
Mia
"I see you've been drinking again just like your loser boyfriend."
Jamie
"Don't even talk about my husband."
Mia
"You married that loser?"
Jamie starts to cry.
Mia
"I would cry too if I married a loser."
Jamie
"Shut up. Just shut up. Eddie was a good man who was murdered by some skank."
Mia
"Oh I'm so sorry. Not. He probably deserved it."
Jamie
"No he didn't. Shut up. I've had a very rough few months."
Mia
"Oh boo hoo."
Jamie
"Your mom died by the way. Oh I'm sorry. Not your mom. Just the woman that was taking care of you."
Mia's shocked. Melanie's shocked by Nathan's confession.
Melanie
"I hit Nicole?"
Nathan
"Yeah."
Melanie
"I don't remember hitting anything must like a person. I think I would have remembered that."
Nathan
"You hit your head. You don't remember that night."
Melanie
"I remember."
Nathan
"What do you remember?"
Stephanie
"Just stop it."
Nathan and Melanie look at Stephanie.
Nathan
"Go away Stephanie."
Stephanie
"No, Melanie deserves the truth. You both do."
Nathan and Melanie look confused. Caroline is getting ready to lock up The Pub when EJ comes storming in.
Caroline
"EJ, I'm sorry I'm closed."
EJ
"I'm here to see my kids."
Caroline
"They're asleep."
EJ
"Well then wake them up."
Caroline
"I will not. Get out."
Caroline points to the door.
EJ
"Not without my kids."
EJ walks to the stairs and calls up for Johnny and Sydney.
EJ
"Johnny! Sydney! Daddy's here."
Caroline
"Get out of here! I'm calling the police."
Caroline grabs her phone. EJ snatches out of her hand and throws it on the ground.
Caroline
"You bastard."
She tries to hit him but he backs up as he laughs.
EJ
"Oh I'm so scared. I'm going to getting kids."
Just as EJ is about to head upstairs, Sami, Rafe, Lucas, and Alex rush in.
Sami
"Don't you go up there."
EJ
"I will go up there and get my kids."
Rafe and Lucas walk up and pull EJ away from the stairs.
EJ
"Get your bloody hands off of me."
The push him into a table.
Rafe
"Stay away from those kids."
EJ
"I will not stay away from my kids. Never."
Sami
"Over my dead body"
EJ
"And I've told you that can be arraigned."
Rafe
"Is that a threat?"
EJ smiles. Phillip and Chloe walk off stage. Belle and Shawn rush over.
Shawn
"Sorry we missed the performance."
Belle
"Who cares about the singing. You two kiss. Why? I mean. I don't care why. It was amazing. So you two are back together?"
Chloe
"Wow, one thing at a time."
Phillip
"I was just congratulating Chloe on a great performance."
Shawn
"Are you sure that was all that was?"
Belle
"Duh Shawn it was much more than."
Phillip
"Ok we're done here. No more questions."
Belle
"No you can't just make out with Chloe and not expect 20 questions."
Shawn
"She's right you know."
Belle
"Yep."
Chloe
"Yeah Phillip. I'm wondering about the kiss too."
Phillip gets nervous. Gabi wants answers about EJ.
Gabi
"EJ DiMera is your father? When did you find this out?"
Chad
"A few weeks ago."
Gabi
"So that's why you've been out of sight?"
Chad
"Yeah trying to process everything."
Gabi
"I can understand that."
Gabi brushes Chad's hair out of his face.
Gabi
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Chad
"No. I just want to get out of here."
Gabi
"Ok. So where do you want to go?"
Chad
"Come on."
Chad takes Gabi's hand and they leave the Salem Inn.
Mia
"My mom... She's dead?"
Jamie
"She's not your mom, not biological anyway."
Mia
"How do you know?"
Jamie
"Carol told me before she died. She said how much she hated you. You were Aaron's bastard daughter with some underage slut he hooked up with that just disappeared after having you. She probably took one look at you and just ran."
Mia beings to tear up.
Mia
"That doesn't even make sense."
Jamie
"Of course it makes sense. Never could believe that you could be related to us McCormick's. After all, we're not teenage sluts that end up pregnant."
Mia starts to cry.
Jamie
"By that way, were is the little bastard?"
Mia
"You shut up about Grace."
Mia yells. Nicole hears and walks over.
Jamie
"Grace? you named her Grace? Well that's dumb."
Nicole
"Hey, what's going on over here?"
Jamie
"Nothing that concerns you."
Nicole
"I think it does."
Jamie
"Get lost lady."
Nicole
"No, you get lost. I think you're done being a bitch for the night."
Jamie laughs.
Jamie
"Yeah you go and defend this piece of...I'm done."
Jamie walks away. Mia breaks down in Nicole's arms.
Nicole
"It's ok."
Mia snaps out of it and pushes Nicole away.
Mia
"Stay away from me you bitch."
Mia yells then rushes off.
Nicole
"Mia!"
Stephanie confronts Nathan and Melanie.
Melanie
"And what is that?"
Stephanie flashes back to when she discovered that Melanie didn't hit Nicole.
Stephanie
"I can't believe this. Melanie didn't hit Nicole."
Melanie
"Hello, earth to Stephanie."
Nathan
"Say something."
Stephanie
"I think I need my uncle Bo here."
Nathan
"I agree. He should be here."
Melanie
"Fine, get him on the phone."
Stephanie pulls her phone out and calls Bo. Bo and Carly are having fun at the ball when Bo's phone goes off.
Bo
"I got a call."
Carly
"I hope it's not work."
Bo
"It might be."
Bo pulls out his phone and sees that it's Stephanie.
Bo
"It's Stephanie."
Carly
"Answer it."
Bo answers.
Bo
"Hey Stephanie."
Stephanie
"Hey uncle Bo. Um... Can you meet me? I'm in a room on the other side of the ballroom."
Bo
"Ok. Sure. I'll be right there."
Bo and Stephanie hang up. Bo has a strange look on his face.
Carly
"What's wrong?"
Bo
"Stephanie wants to meet with me here."
Carly
"Ok."
Bo
"I have a feeling it's serious."
Carly
"You don't think she ran into that Jamie girl?"
Bo
"I hope not."
Bo takes off. Carly follows.
Stephanie
"Bo is his way."
Melanie
"Good, then we can get the bottom of this because I know that I didn't hit Nicole. I think I would have remembered that."
Stephanie
"Well you did so."
Nathan flashes back to that night. He was on the phone with Melanie.
Melanie:
"Nathan I'm pulling over up here. Can you hear me?"
She yells. She looks down.
Nathan:
"Yes I can I'm right behind you."
Nathan hangs up his phone and puts it in the seat next to him. He looks up and sees a car move in their lane. Nathan honks his horn. Melanie looks up and screams as she swerves to miss it.
Nathan comes back.
Melanie
"You remember now don't you?"
Before Nathan could answer, Bo and Carly walk in.
Bo
"What's going on?"
Stephanie
"Melanie was just about to confess to running Nicole over."
Carly
"What?"
Melanie
"I was not. I didn't hit Nicole, but I do know of someone who has committed a crime."
Bo
"Who?"
Melanie
"Stephanie. She has been blackmailing Nathan."
Stephanie
"What? I have not."
Nathan
"Yes you have and maybe that's not all you've been doing either."
Stephanie
"I'm not up to anything. You two are the ones that are up to something. Melanie's going around running over people and you're covering it up for her."
Nathan
"Oh yeah. So I'm guessing Bo knows that you stole the hospital surveillance footage from his office?"
Bo
"Stephanie, is this true?"
Stephanie
"No."
Nathan
"Oh and that you took out all the stuff that Eddie was using to blackmail me with out of his safe deposit box."
Bo
"What?"
Stephanie
"I didn't. Eddie stole the tape and put it in his safe deposit box and gave me the key to it so that I could see what kind of person Nathan Horton really is."
Nathan
"You're lying."
Bo
"I got the footage from the hospital the same night that Eddie died. There's no way he could have gotten it."
Melanie
"Ooh."
Bo
"Stephanie, tell me the truth."
Tears begin to fall from her eyes.
Stephanie
"Yes."
Bo
"Why?"
Stephanie
"Because, it's Nathan's fault."
She yells. EJ continues to smile at one another.
Sami
"So you're going to kill me to get the kids back? Really? How can you be a father if you're behind bars?"
EJ
"I'm not going to kill you, you little twit. I just simply want to spend time with my kids. Is that a bad thing?"
Lucas
"You're going at it the wrong way."
EJ
"Oh like you and Sami went about it the right way? Sneaking into my home and taking them out? I should have had you charged with kidnapping, but Father said to leave you alone because of mommy dearest doesn't want a hair on her precious baby boy's head touched."
Lucas
"I've had enough of this. Sorry Sami, but Alex and I are leaving."
Lucas and Alex head out of The Pub.
Caroline
"That's enough EJ. You need to get out of here now."
EJ
"I'm not going anywhere until I see my kids."
EJ raises his voice just as Johnny walks downstairs.
Johnny
"Daddy? Why are you yelling?"
Everyone turns to Johnny.
EJ
"Daddy, just wants to see you."
Johnny starts to run to EJ, but Sami stops him.
Sami
"It's time to go back to bed."
Johnny
"No, I want to see daddy."
Sami
"Daddy's just leaving."
Johnny
"No he's not."
EJ
"You're so right, I'm not going anywhere."
Johnny
"See"
Sami
"EJ, stop it. You know you have to go back to the ball and pick up Nicole."
EJ
"Nicole knows her way home."
Rafe
"EJ, leave now."
EJ
"No"
Sami
"Yes, leave now."
Rafe
"I'll call Bo and Roman."
EJ
"Oh I'm so scared."
Rafe pulls out his phone.
Sami
"While you're doing that, I'll take Johnny back upstairs to bed."
Sami tries to pick up Johnny, but he runs.
Sami
"Johnny, get back over here."
Johnny
"No. I don't want to."
EJ
"It's ok Johnny, you don't have to."
Sami
"Don't tell me kid what he doesn't have to do. I am his mother."
EJ
"And I am his father."
Sami and EJ take turns yelling at each other. Rafe and Caroline try to break it up. Johnny gets mad and runs to the door.
Johnny
"I'm leaving."
Johnny yells. Everyone turns to him. He then runs out the door.
Sami
"Johnny! Come back!"
Everyone rushes out after Johnny. Lucas and Alex are in the parking lot.
Alex
"Are you sure you want to walk away? EJ was pretty pissed."
Lucas
"I don't have time to deal with EJ's temper tantrum. Rafe's there and I want to enjoy the rest of the night with you."
Lucas takes off his jacket and puts it around Alex. Johnny runs in the street just as a car is speeding down the road.
Alex
"Thank you."
They smile and kiss one another. Their kiss is interrupted by screams.
Sami & EJ
"JOHNNY!"
Sami and EJ watch as a car hits Johnny then drives off. The rush to his side.
Sami
"Oh my gosh Johnny."
Sami kneels down next to him.
Sami
"Baby, can you hear me?"
EJ stands and stares. Rafe calls 911.
Rafe
"I'm calling for help."
Alex
"Did hear that?"
Lucas
"Sounded like an accident."
Lucas and Alex rush to the street.
Sami
"It's ok Johnny. Rafe is calling someone to come and help you."
Sami starts cry and EJ tries to fight back his tears as Lucas and Alex walk up.
Alex
"Oh my gosh."
Lucas
"What happened?"
Sami looks up.
Sami
"Someone hit him and drove off."
She cries. Phillip is nervous as he's put on the spot.
Shawn
"Today Phillip."
Phillip
"Well I just wanted to congratulate Chloe. Duh."
Belle
"It was more than that."
Phillip
"Well yeah it was ok. I've never been shy about the way I feel."
Belle
"Yet you are right now."
Joy walks up.
Joy
"Hey guys."
Phillip
"Hey Joy."
Joy
"Am I interrupting something?"
Phillip
"Of course not."
Joy
"Feels like I am."
Phillip puts his arm around Joy.
Phillip
"Of course not. Belle and Shawn, thank you for coming."
Belle
"We surely had a good time."
Shawn
"Yes we did. Great show."
Belle
"Well Shawn let's go home. The show is over...for now."
Shawn
"Looks like it."
Shawn and Belle start to walk away.
Chloe
"Thanks for coming guys."
Phillip
"Yeah thanks."
Shawn
"Anytime."
Belle
"This isn't over."
Belle whispers into Phillip's ear before walking away. Phillip smiles and looks at Chloe.
Chloe
"So Joy, where's your little friend?"
Joy
"He went home."
Chloe
"Oh. Well did you guys have fun?"
Joy flashes back to the kiss from Chad and smiles. Phillip and Chloe look at her.
Chloe
"Joy?"
Joy comes back.
Joy
"Yeah."
Chloe
"Where were you just now?"
Joy
"Nowhere."
Phillip
"We saw that smile."
Chloe
"You guys kissed, didn't you?"
Joy
"Not really."
Phillip
"Not really?"
Chloe
"What do you mean?"
Joy
"It was a quick little kiss, but I got another kiss that was much longer and unforgettable. It wasn't from Henry though."
Chloe
"What do you mean? Who was it from?"
Joy
"I have no idea."
Phillip
"What do you mean?"
Joy
"A guy just came up and kissed me. I guess he thought I was someone else because he just ran off after he realized it was me."
Chloe
"Wow that's weird."
Joy
"Yeah it was."
Phillip
"But I can tell you don't care because you enjoyed it."
Joy
"Yeah I did."
Joy smiles. Bo, Carly, Nathan, and Melanie wait for Stephanie to explain.
Nathan
"How is this my fault?"
Stephanie
"You told me you cared about me when really you just wanted Melanie and the first chance you got, you went after her and left me all alone."
Nathan
"Okay. I admit it. I always loved Melanie, but I did care about you. Now I'm wondering why I ever did because you're not the Stephanie I know."
Stephanie
"And you're not the Nathan I know."
Stephanie and Nathan stare at one another.
Melanie
"Can we just get to who ran over Nicole because I know I didn't."
Bo
"Melanie's right. Where's the tape?"
Stephanie pulls the tape out of her purse and hands it to Bo.
Stephanie
"You'll see who really ran over Melanie."
Stephanie wipes tears from her eyes. Bo looks on disappointed. Johnny is rushed into the ER by the EMTs. Sami, Rafe, Lucas, and Alex are close behind. EJ stands in a distance. Daniel rushes over to him.
Daniel
"What do we have here?"
Sami
"My son got ran over by some maniac."
Daniel
"I know that, but I was talking to the EMTs and you all need to get back."
EMT
"He's breathing. He lost some blood. Possible internal bleeding."
Daniel
"Alright let's get him into the exam room."
Sami
"Good let's go."
Daniel
"No not you Sami."
Sami
"Why not? I need to be there with my son."
Daniel
"I need space to work. Keep her back."
Daniel rushes to the exam room. Sami starts to follow him, but Rafe stops her.
Sami
"Don't stop me. I need to be there for Johnny."
Rafe
"You'll just get in the way. You'll be better off out here."
Sami
"No I won't."
Lucas
"Yes you will. We can't distract Daniel from helping Johnny."
Sami
"Okay, I'll stay out here. It's going to be hard. You know I'm not very patient."
Rafe & Lucas
"Yeah we know."
Sami
"I need to call Will and tell him."
Lucas
"I'll call me."
Sami
"Thank you."
Lucas walks away to call Will. Rafe notices Sami's about to break down so he pulls her into a hug.
Sami
"Who would do this?"
Rafe
"I don't know, but I'm going to find out."
EJ continues from a distance. At the Salem Inn, Will notices Lucas is calling him and hits ignore. He turns around and bumps into Nicole.
Will
"Oh sorry."
Nicole
"It's okay."
Will
"I didn't hurt the baby or anything?"
Nicole
"Oh no the baby is fine."
Will
"Good because I know that baby could be my cousin so I guess I should care or something."
Nicole
"You always had a way with words Will."
Will
"Thank you."
Nicole
"Have you seen EJ?"
Will
"Yeah I saw him run out of her and my mom, dad, Rafe, and Alex left too. I was going to follow them, but then I realized I didn't care, but now I've lost Mia. Have you seen her?"
Nicole
"Yeah and I think I know exactly where you can find her."
Mia is in the graveyard visiting Grace's grave. She stares at the tombstone before she kneels down in front if it.
Mia
"I know it's been a long time since I've been here. In fact, I haven't been here since you were buried. I know what you must think of me and I don't blame you. I'm a very bad person I've don't something so terrible."
Phillip, Chloe, and Joy are laughing and joking around when Bo, Carly, Melanie, Nathan, and Stephanie walk up.
Bo
"Sorry to interrupt."
They turn their attention to Bo."
Phillip
"Hey Bo. I didn't know if you were going to make it or not."
Bo
"Yeah I made it."
Phillip
"What's wrong?"
Bo
"Phillip, I'm going to have to place you under arrest."
Phillip
"Me? For what?"
Bo
"For the hit and run of Nicole Walker."
Phillip is stunned.
