MAGGIE'S HOUSE
Melanie and Nathan are shocked to see Nick out of jail.
Nick
"I'm guessing you two didn't know that I was out of jail."
Melanie
"Gee, what gave you that idea?"
Nathan
"Does Maggie know?"
Nathan asks as Maggie rushes down the stairs.
Maggie
"Is everything ok?"
Maggie asks. She looks at Melanie and Nathan.
Maggie
"I guess not."
LUCAS' HOUSE
Will and Mia look over at Alex as they cover up. Alex rushes out of Will's room and closes the door. She leans against the wall in shock. Will gets up and puts his clothes back on.
Will
"I'm going to see what she wants. I'll be back.
Mia
"Ok."
Will walks out of the room.
Will
"Do you know how to knock?"
Alex
"I'm sorry. I thought you were in trouble or something? I heard something fall."
Will
"Well I'm fine so you can leave now."
Will turns to go back into his room, but Alex stops him.
Alex
"No I can't. Your father has been trying to call you."
Will
"Yeah I saw that so if that's all."
Alex
"No you need to come with me to the hospital."
Will
"Why? What's wrong?"
Alex
"It's Johnny. He got hit by a car."
Will's shocked.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Everyone's still in shock at Lexie's revelation that Johnny is not EJ's son.
EJ
"What do you mean Johnny's not my son? Of course he is. You know that Lexie."
Lexie
"Not according to this."
EJ
"Why are you doing this? Why are you lying to me?"
Lexie
"I wish I was EJ, but the test is accurate."
EJ
"This can't be happening."
Sami
"It's a miracle."
Roman
"That means."
Lucas
"I'm Johnny's father?"
Lexie
"Yes, yes you are."
EJ
"No, I'm Johnny's father. I'll be damned if I am going to give him up."
Everyone looks at EJ.
MAGGIE'S HOUSE
Nick
"Sure, we're cool. I think Melanie and Nathan are just surprised to see me."
Melanie
"That's an understatement."
Maggie
"Sorry I didn't get you two the heads up. Nick here just showed up."
Nathan
"Just showed up huh? Are we sure he didn't escape?"
Nick
"No I didn't escape. I was released on good behavior. You can say I've been a good boy."
Maggie
"I talked to him earlier and he said he was going to be released. I had no idea it was going to be tonight."
Nick
"Actually I was already released a couple of days of ago. I wanted this to be a surprised."
Melanie
"We'll we're surprised alright."
Nick
"A good surprise right?"
The room goes silent for a moment.
Maggie
"Well I think that's enough excitement for one night. Why don't we all go upstairs and get some rest?"
Nick
"Wait, no not yet. I want to know how Nathan and Melanie's night went. Are you two back together yet?"
Maggie lets out a slight laugh. Nathan and Melanie look madly at her and Nick.
LUCAS' HOUSE
Will
"What? When?"
Alex
"A few hours ago outside of The Pub."
Will
"I'm going to put on my shoes and I'll be there."
Alex
"Do you want me to drive you?"
Will
"Sure."
Will walks back into his room as Mia's getting dressed.
Will
"Johnny got hit by a car."
Mia
"I heard. I'm sorry."
Will
"Come with me?"
Mia
"Your mom won't want me to be there."
Will
"I don't care. I need you."
Mia
"Then I'll go."
Will and Mia finish getting dressed.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Daniel
"Well I'm sorry EJ, but you have no choice. The test is accurate. You're not Johnny's father."
EJ stews.
Daniel
"So Lucas do you want to get tested to see if you're a match for Johnny?"
Lucas
"Of course."
Daniel
"Follow me."
Lucas looks at Sami who is smiling from ear to ear. He turns and follows Daniel to get tested. Lexie walks up to EJ.
Lexie
"Are you ok?"
EJ
"Oh yes Alexandria, I'm great, never better."
Lexie
"Stupid question."
EJ
"How could you do this to me?"
Lexie
"Tell you the truth? Oh how dare me."
EJ
"You're lying and I don't know why, but when Father finds out that you betrayed the family again."
Lexie
"Father can get mad about this all he wants, but I know the truth when I see it and you EJ are not Johnny's father. There is no way. If you like, you can do a DNA test yourself, but Daniel's discovery is true."
EJ stares angrily at her.
Lexie
"I know it's hard to hear after all these years that Johnny's not your song, but you will have to find a way to deal with it. Hopefully better than you dealt with finding out that Chad was your son."
Lexie says before walking away.
Roman
"Chad? Chad Peterson?"
Sami
"Chad Peterson's your son?"
EJ rolls his eyes.
MAGGIE'S HOUSE
Nick
"Obviously a dumb question since I was standing here when you two came crashing into the door all over each other."
Maggie
"You two worked things out?"
Maggie asked excitedly.
Melanie
"Yes we did."
Nathan
"The question is how did Nick know we were having some sort of problem?"
Maggie
"That's my fault. He asked how you two were and I went on and on about you two. I'm sorry."
Nick
"Yep Maggie was so worried about you two. Glad she won't have to worry anymore."
Melanie
"Yeah we're back together."
Nathan
"And that will never change again."
Nathan puts his arm around Melanie.
Maggie
"I'm happy to hear that.
Nick
"Me too. I hope nothing or no one else gets in your way."
Maggie
"Aww. Isn't that sweet?"
Melanie
"Yes. Thank you, Nick."
Nick
"Well I'm going to head upstairs to get some rest. I can't wait to go exploring in Salem tomorrow. Goodnight everyone."
Maggie
"Goodnight Nick."
Nick smiles before he heads upstairs.
Maggie
"I'm ready to get back to sleep also. I'm sorry for all of this."
Melanie
"It's fine. He's your grandson."
Maggie
"We'll talk about this tomorrow ok, night."
Nathan
"Night"
Maggie heads upstairs. Nathan and Melanie turn to each other.
Nathan
"I can't believe that Nick is in town."
Melanie
"And living here of all places."
Nathan
"We need to move."
Melanie
"If we do that then he wins."
Nathan
"Wins what?"
Melanie
"I don't know."
Nathan
"Okay, how about this. We'll just go upstairs and get some rest and think about this in the morning."
Melanie
"Yeah it's been a long day."
Nathan
"Yes and I just want to hold you."
Nathan pulls Melanie into a kiss, but she pushes away.
Melanie
"Oh no, we can't do that."
Nathan
"Why not?"
Melanie
"Because Nick is here and he knows that we were about to do it."
Nathan
"So we're not doing it tonight?"
Melanie
"Nope sorry."
Nathan
"It's fine. We have are whole lives to do it for the first time."
Melanie
"Thank you for understanding."
Nathan
"I understand?"
Melanie laughs before giving Nathan a kiss.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
EJ
"Even though it's none of your business, yes Chad Peterson is my son."
Sami
"Well good. Now you can put your energy into having a relationship with Chad and leave mine and Lucas' son alone."
Sami smiles in EJ's face.
Sami
"I'm going to see my son again. Let him know that he's going to be just fine."
Sami heads to Johnny's room.
Roman
"Looks like you're not needed here anymore."
EJ
"You think I'm going to leave? My son is hurt."
Alex, Will, and Mia walk up.
Rafe
"Daniel and Lexie both said you're not Johnny's father."
Will
"What?"
Rafe, Roman, and EJ turn to Will.
Will
"EJ isn't Johnny's father?"
Rafe
"Nope he's not."
Will
"That means my dad is and my mom can finally be done with you."
Will smiles while EJ frowns. Daniel finishes testing Lucas as Sami walks up to them.
Lucas
"How long before we know if I'm a match or not?"
Daniel
"I can tell you in a few minutes."
Lucas
"Good. And Daniel, thank you."
Daniel
"You're welcome."
Daniel walks away to test Lucas' sample. Lucas turns and sees Sami.
Sami
"So soon we'll know if you're match for my…our son."
Lucas
"Our son, it's weird to hear that and not think Will."
Sami
"Well now you have two sons."
Lucas
"I can't believe this. How did I not know?"
Sami
"EJ must have changed the DNA results."
Lucas
"I missed all this time with Johnny. How are we going to tell him?"
Sami
"You've been there for Johnny before and he'll accept you as his father."
Lucas
"But you saw him. He loves EJ."
Sami
"Yeah it won't be easy, but he'll come around. I know him."
Lucas
"And what about EJ?"
Sami
"There's nothing he can do. Johnny isn't his son."
Lucas
"And now you guys don't have any ties."
Sami
"There's Sydney."
Lucas
"And you can change that."
Sami
"How?"
Lucas
"Giving her back to him and Nicole."
Sami
"Why would I give my daughter to those two?"
Lucas
"Because she's not yours."
Sami
"Shut up."
Back in the waiting room, EJ starts to get annoyed with Will.
EJ
"Johnny will always be my son."
Will
"You can think that all you want, but the truth is my parents will never let you anywhere near Johnny again."
Roman
"Okay I think that's enough Will."
EJ
"Yeah listen to pops."
Rafe
"You can leave now."
EJ
"I'm not leaving till I know Johnny is doing better."
Lucas
"You can tell me to shut up all you want, but we both know what Baker said has us both thinking the same thing."
Sami
"I'm not worry about that right now."
Lucas
"Yeah we need to think about Johnny."
Daniel walks up.
Daniel
"I've tested your sample."
Lucas
"And?"
Daniel
"It's a perfect match."
Sami and Lucas are relieved.
Daniel
"I can start prep for surgery."
Lucas
"The sooner the better."
Daniel
"I'll let you know when it's time."
Lucas
"Okay."
Daniel walks away. Sami jumps up and down.
Sami
"You're a match."
Lucas
"Yeah. It's crazy. I'm about to give half of my kidney to a kid that I just found out was my biological son."
Sami
"Funny how life works."
Lucas
"Yeah."
Sami
"Well let's go tell everyone and go see Johnny."
Lucas
"Yes."
Lucas and Sami walk to the waiting room.
Will
"Mom, dad"
Everyone turns to Sami and Lucas.
Roman
"So, what's the verdict?"
Lucas
"I'm a match."
Sami
"Daniel's prepping for surgery."
Rafe
"That's great."
Sami
"We're going to tell Johnny together."
Sami smiles as she takes Lucas' hand and walk to Johnny's room. Rafe looks at EJ.
Rafe
"Looks like Johnny is going to be fine. Lucas is a match so you can go home."
EJ looks around and notices everyone's looking at him. He takes a deep breath then walks away. He turns the corner before stopping to lean up against the wall and cry silently.
Roman
"I'm going to call Bo and fill him in."
Roman walks away to call Bo.
Will
"Alex, can we talk? I have a question for you."
Alex
"Sure."
Will and Alex walk away. Mia and Rafe look at one another.
Mia
"I don't want to talk to you."
Rafe
"That's fine."
Mia sits down.
Alex
"What's up?"
Will
"I hope that you will keep what you saw between us?"
Alex
"About you and Mia?"
Will
"Yeah don't tell my parents that we were about to have sex."
Alex
"I won't, but you need to talk to them."
Will
"I'm not going to talk to my parents that I'm ready to have sex. They already hate Mia. I don't want to give them another reason to."
Alex
"Well I don't want to lie to Lucas."
Will
"It's not lying unless he asks you if you saw us almost have sex and you say no."
Alex looks confused.
Will
"Well that's all I have to say. Keep your mouth shut."
Will walks back over to Mia. Lucas and Sami walk into Johnny's room. He's still unconscious. They walk closer to his bed.
Sami
"Johnny, I have some great news for you. We found you a match and you're going to be as good as new soon."
Sami brushes the hair out of Johnny's face.
Lucas
"I can't believe any of this."
Sami looks at Lucas.
Lucas
"Everything's so different now."
Sami
"For the best."
Lucas
"That's true."
Sami and Lucas hold each other's hands. Daniel walks in. Lucas and Sami look at him.
Daniel
"It's time."
