Stephanie approaches Melanie. Melanie smiles.
Melanie
"Hey Stephanie. It's always a pleasure to see your face."
Stephanie
"More like a privilege."
Melanie
"Can I help you with something?"
Stephanie
"Yes, you can explain how you think you're going to get away with hurting me."
Melanie seems confused.
CHLOE'S ROOM
Phillip and Chloe continue to kiss, but are interrupted by Bo who knows on the door to get their attention. Phillip and Chloe quickly stop and turn to see who is watching them.
Phillip
"Bo, hey"
Bo
"Sorry to interrupt"
Chloe
"It's fine."
Bo
"I just want to ask you two questions about your attacks."
Phillip
"Sure, fire away."
Bo
"Ok so who wants to go first?"
Phillip and Chloe look at one another and smile.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM
Belle closes the door then walks over to Daniel.
Daniel
"I didn't realize that you were Chloe's protector or whatever."
Belle
"Stay the hell away from Chloe. You had your chance and you blew it."
Daniel
"I blew it?"
Daniel points to himself.
Daniel
"You mean Phillip slept with my fiancé and wrecked my engagement."
Belle
"Just because Chloe cheated on you it doesn't mean you had to break up with her, but you did. So get over it."
Daniel smiles.
JAN'S ROOM
Mimi closes her eyes then opens them.
Jan
"Yep I'm still here."
Mimi
"But you were in a coma."
Jan
"And people from comas can't wake up? Someone should really revoke your nurse's licenses."
Mimi
"You've been in a coma for like ever and now you're awake and standing up?"
Jan
"It's a miracle."
CHLOE'S ROOM
Bo
"Let's not all speak at once."
Phillip
"I'll start then."
Bo
"Ok, so Phillip what were you doing when you were attacked?"
Phillip
"I was standing around the corner from Lucas' room on the phone with Chloe. I called her and told her about what happened with Lucas. I just got off the phone with her and that's probably when I got hit over the head because that is the last thing I remembered before waking up in the hospital bed."
Bo
"So you didn't see anyone."
Phillip
"Nope."
Bo
"Do you have an idea on who could have done this to you?"
Phillip
"No clue, it was random."
Bo
"Who did you come in contact today?"
Phillip
"Lucas, my mom, Sami, Chloe, and oh yeah Stephanie went off on me today."
Bo freezes.
Bo
"Stephanie? What did she say to you?"
Phillip
"She is mad that Nathan left her and that I got Chloe pregnant."
Bo
"Interesting."
Phillip
"Yes very. I told her that she should have known that Nathan wanted Melanie. It was obvious and we both made mistakes. I shouldn't have married Melanie and she should have fallen for someone else."
Bo writes down what Phillip is saying.
Bo
"Anything else you wanted to add?"
Phillip hesitates.
Bo
"Phillip, is there something you're leaving out?"
Phillip
"Yeah, Daniel went off on me also, but that was after Chloe was brought in."
Chloe
"What? Why?"
Bo
"Daniel found you in the elevator."
Phillip
"Yeah and he blames me for your attack."
Chloe
"That's crazy. Why would you have anything to do with someone stabbing me?"
Phillip
"I don't know. He hates me."
Bo
"I'm sure that's an understatement."
Phillip
"You're right about that. It was ugly."
Bo
"Were there any witnesses to either verbal attack?"
Phillip
"Not with Stephanie I don't think, but my mom and Melanie were in the room for Daniel's tantrum."
Bo
"Ok. Chloe it's your turn."
Phillip and Bo look at her.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM
Daniel
"This is so funny. Like really Belle? I thought you would have better things to do than this."
Belle
"You don't know me Daniel Jonas, but I know you."
Daniel
"Oh really? What do you know about me?"
Belle
"You're a womanizer who preys on their patients."
Daniel chuckles.
Daniel
"I do not do that."
Belle
"Oh really? So Chelsea, Kate, and Chloe weren't your patients?"
Daniel goes silent.
Belle
"I thought so."
Daniel
"So what happens if I don't stay away from Chloe?"
Belle
"Stay away from her and you won't have to find out."
Daniel
"I'm so scared. Just look at my face."
Daniel laughs out loud.
Belle
"I can think of some things. I've learn from the best. I am Sami Brady's sister after all."
Daniel laughs harder.
Daniel
"Yeah cuz Sami's schemes work out so well."
Belle
"Well I'm also a DiMera so I'm sure I can get a little creative."
Daniel
"DiMera huh? Yeah I can believe that you can be as ruthless as EJ and Stefano."
Belle
"Don't push me."
Daniel
"Ooh."
Belle
"Don't mock me. Leave Chloe alone or you'll be sorry."
Daniel
"I think you should get a life and stop trying to police mine."
Belle rolls her eyes.
Daniel
"I think it's cute though that you want to be all protective of Chloe. You're a good friend, but Belle you're wrong if you think that Phillip is right for her."
Belle
"I've known Chloe much longer than you have and I know that Chloe has never loved anyone like she loves Phillip."
Daniel
"Last time I checked Chloe didn't marry Phillip but she married Brady and Lucas."
Belle
"And look how well those turned out. She always went right back to Phillip."
Daniel's silent.
THE NURSES STATION
Melanie
"And how have I hurt you?"
Stephanie
"Taking Nathan from me."
Melanie
"This again? Goodness, Stephanie get over it already."
Stephanie
"And how should do that Melanie? You never did get over Nathan."
Melanie
"And he never got over me even when he was you."
Stephanie stares at Melanie. Melanie realizes she's getting to her.
Melanie
"It must suck that no matter what you did; Nathan still couldn't get over me."
Stephanie
"Well you wouldn't leave him alone."
Melanie
"I did many times, but he would always find a way to be around me."
Stephanie
"That's a lie. You hounded him till he gave in."
Melanie
"He's the one that kissed me not the other way around. Face it Stephanie, Nathan never wanted you. You were just something he was passing the time with till he can get back what he truly wanted and if you're not keeping up…"
Melanie gets closer to Stephanie.
Melanie
"…and that's me."
Stephanie huffs.
Melanie
"Oh I'm sorry. Did I hit a nerve?"
Stephanie grabs Melanie by the throat.
CHLOE'S ROOM
Chloe
"Well I was at Java Café when I got a call from Melanie about Phillip. I got to the parking garage and it started to feel like someone was following me. I turned around and no one was there so I kept going then I heard a noise. I turned around and saw someone dressed in all black. They had a knife so I turned and ran for the elevator. I tried to get the doors to open, but they moved so slowly. Finally I was able to get in and then I was stabbed and…that's the last thing I remember."
Phillip comforts her.
Bo
"Man or woman?"
Chloe
"I'm not sure. Their clothes were so baggy."
Bo writes what Chloe says.
Chloe
"I feel like I'm not much help."
Bo
"You're doing fine. We have security footage we're going to pull so that will help your case also."
Phillip
"Ah, technology."
Bo
"Yes"
Suddenly, Bo, Phillip, and Chloe hear yelling from the hall.
Bo
"I'm going to check that out."
Bo walks out into the hallway. Stephanie is choking Melanie to the ground. Bo walks up and is shocked. He rushes over to pull Stephanie off of Melanie. Nathan walks up.
Stephanie
"Died bitch, die!"
Stephanie yells. Bo attempts to pull Stephanie off of Melanie. Nathan rushes over.
Bo
"Stephanie, let go."
Nathan
"Let her go Stephanie."
Stephanie releases her grip and Bo pulls her away. Stephanie watches as Nathan kneels down to check on Melanie who's rubbing her neck and coughing.
Nathan
"Are you alright?"
Melanie
"Yeah."
Nathan helps Melanie up as they stare at Stephanie. She stares back.
CHLOE'S ROOM
Phillip
"I wonder what's going on out there."
Chloe
"I don't know."
Phillip
"Hopefully no one else was attacked."
Chloe
"Yeah cuz that's been going around."
Phillip
"Yeah. Vivian was poisoned."
Chloe
"Really? Do they know who did it?"
Phillip
"Nope. I hear she's in a coma."
Chloe
"I can't say that I'm sad about that."
Phillip
"Me either. My father doesn't seem to care either. I called him, but he never showed up. Only Gus seems to care. And I guess Daniel. He was her doctor."
Chloe
"I'm sure Daniel does care. He doesn't know that Vivian was the one that made me think that he was cheating on me with Carly. I was so stupid to believe her."
Phillip
"No you're not."
Chloe
"Then what am I?"
Phillip
"The most beautiful woman in the world."
Chloe smiles. Rex comes in. Phillip and Chloe look over at him.
Rex
"Sorry to interrupt."
Phillip
"Come on in."
Rex
"I have both of you guys' release papers."
Phillip
"Awesome."
Rex hands them their papers.
Rex
"All you two need to do is sign then you can go home."
Phillip and Chloe sign their papers then hand them back to Rex.
Phillip
"We're free"
Rex
"Yep. You two have a goodnight."
Phillip
"Thanks bro."
Chloe
"Thanks Rex."
Rex walks out.
Chloe
"So what do you want to do?"
Phillip
"Go home and get in bed with you."
Chloe's surprised.
JAN'S ROOM
Mimi
"No this can't be happening"
Mimi keeps repeating over and over again.
Jan
"It is and I will tell Phillip about your little secret."
Mimi
"No."
Mimi screams. Suddenly, she wakes up and realizes it was all a dream and she was asleep at Jan's bedside and Jan was still in her coma. Rex walks in. He looks at Mimi and seems confused.
Rex
"Mimi, what are you doing?"
Mimi
"I fell asleep."
Mimi tries to stand up but she feels groggy and stumbles. Rex quickly walks over to her to help her keep her balance.
Rex
"Are you ok?"
Mimi
"Yeah I'm fine."
Rex
"Are you sure? You don't seem that way."
Mimi looks at Rex.
Mimi
"I need to talk to Phillip."
Rex
"I sent Phillip and Chloe home."
Mimi
"I need to go see him about you know who."
Rex
"Ok then. After our shift is over, we can go see him."
Mimi agrees.
CHLOE'S ROOM
Chloe
"Go to bed?"
Phillip
"Yeah and watch a movie and relax."
Chloe
"Oh."
Phillip
"What did you think I meant?"
Chloe
"Um…that."
Phillip starts to laugh. Chloe smiles.
Chloe
"What?"
Phillip
"Nothing."
Chloe
"Ok. Well I'm going to change into my clothes."
Phillip
"Okay."
Chloe
"You should go get into your clothes."
Phillip
"I will"
Chloe
"So go and do that and I'll change"
Phillip
"Do you not want me to see you change?"
Chloe
"Yeah. It's a little weird."
Phillip
"Why? It's like I haven't seen it before."
Chloe tries hard not to laugh.
Phillip
"You know I'm right."
Chloe
"Yeah so."
Phillip
"I'll go."
Chloe
"Thank you."
Phillip walks out, but turns around just to look at Chloe one more time before leaving.
Chloe
"Close the curtain"
Phillip
"I am"
Phillip closes the curtain. Chloe starts to take off her gown; Phillip pulls the curtain back a little. Chloe looks at him.
Chloe
"Phillip Kiriakis."
Phillip
"I'm gone for real this time."
Phillip closes the curtain again. Chloe stares for a moment to make sure Phillip is gone and laughs.
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM
Belle
"So you see my point?"
Daniel
"I don't care about whatever point you're trying to make here Isabella, but I will say this. Nothing you say or do will stop me from feeling the way that I do. I love Chloe and I'm going to tell her that right now."
Daniel walks towards the door. Belle rushes over and stands in front of it.
Daniel
"Move Belle."
Belle
"No."
Daniel
"You do know that I can just pick you up and move you out of my way right?"
Belle
"Touch me and I'll scream."
Daniel
"Well then just move."
Belle
"No, I'm not going to let you get anywhere near Chloe and Phillip. They're going to work things out and be a family with their daughter."
Daniel
"Daughter? Chloe's having a girl?"
Daniel backs up.
Belle
"Yes. Rex showed us earlier. Chloe's carrying a baby girl Kiriakis so there's no room for you in her life."
Daniel looks around.
Belle
"Sorry, not sorry."
Daniel
"I'm sure."
Belle
"Stay away from Chloe."
Daniel looks down.
Belle
"Well if you excuse me. I have patients to take care of."
Belle walks out.
Daniel
"Whatever. I will get Chloe away from Phillip Kiriakis."
NURSE'S STATION
Bo lets Stephanie go.
Bo
"What the hell is going on here?"
Stephanie
"I was just minding my own business when Melanie waltzes up just to throw it in my face that Nathan wants to be with her like she's something special."
Melanie
"You got in my faceand accused me of stealing Nathan from you."
Stephanie
"You did."
Stephanie tries to go after Melanie again, but Bo stops her. Melanie and Nathan step back.
Stephanie
"First Max, then Phillip, and now Nathan. You won't stop till you make sure that I'm alone."
Melanie
"I feel like I've heard this before."
Stephanie
"You know it's true you little bitch."
Nathan
"Just shut the hell up!"
Nathan yells. Everyone looks at him. Bo releases Stephanie.
Nathan
"This is my fault. I should have never gone out with you Stephanie. I knew I was in love with Melanie and it wasn't right to lead you on. I'm sorry Stephanie for everything I put you through. If I could go back, I would change it all."
Stephanie stands still as she fights back her tears.
Nathan
"I'm sorry. Don't take this out on Melanie. If you want to take it out with someone then let it be me. But really Stephanie, you should move on and stop making a fool of yourself."
Stephanie wipes the tears from her eyes. Nathan sees then turns to Melanie.
Nathan
"Let's go Melanie. We have plans."
Melanie
"Ok."
Nathan and Melanie walk over to get on the elevator together. Stephanie covers her face to hide her tears.
Bo
"Stephanie, I'm sorry."
Stephanie turns around and stares him in the face with tears running down her cheeks.
Stephanie
"For what? That no man an ever love me?"
Bo
"It's not that."
Stephanie
"Oh, what is it then Uncle Bo?"
Bo tries to answer, but Stephanie interrupts.
Stephanie
"You know what? I don't care. Screw you."
Stephanie walks away. Bo takes a deep breath.
Bo
"What's going on?"
Bo asks himself.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Phillip and Chloe walk into the Kiriakis mansion.
Phillip
"Home sweet home."
Chloe
"I guess"
Phillip
"So you want to go upstairs?"
Chloe
"And watch that movie?"
Phillip
"Sure. You can choose."
Chloe
"Okay then."
They walk upstairs to Phillip's room. They walk inside and close the door.
Phillip
"So do you want some action or some romance?"
Chloe
"What?"
Phillip
"Do you want to watch an action movie of a romantic one?"
Chloe
"Oh."
Phillip
"Is there something wrong?"
Chloe
"Yeah there is."
Phillip
"What's that?"
Chloe
"I have a feeling that you have something on your mind."
Phillip
"You're right. I do."
Chloe
"And what is that?"
Phillip
"You and our daughter."
Chloe
"What about us?"
Phillip
"I could have lost both of you today and it made me realize even more today than any day that I don't want to spend another day without you."
Chloe freezes. Phillip walks up to her and puts his arms around her waist.
Phillip
"I love Chloe Lane. I never stopped."
They gaze deeply into each other's eyes.
Phillip
"We got together and broke up too many times to count, but I don't want to break up anymore."
Chloe
"What are you saying?"
Phillip
"Can we give us another chance?"
Chloe
"Phillip, I…"
Phillip
"Please say yes."
Chloe tears up.
Phillip
"I feel like that drunken night opened the door for us to try again. And then you ended up pregnant and I'm the father. It's like this is how it's supposed to be."
Chloe
"You've been talking to Belle haven't you?"
Phillip
"You don't feel that same?"
NURSE'S STATION
Daniel walks up to Chloe's room and sees she's not in there. He sees Rex at the nurse's desk looking through some charts. He walks up to him.
Daniel
"Hey Rex, did you move Chloe?"
Rex looks up.
Rex
"No, I sent her home."
Rex goes back to reading charts.
Daniel
"But she was stabbed."
Rex looks up again.
Rex
"Yeah and she was doing better and the baby was ok so I sent her home. Is there a problem because I do know how to care for my patients especially my friends?"
Daniel
"I'm sure you do."
Rex
"Then we're done here." Have a good night Dr. Jonas."
Rex goes back to reading his charts. Daniel walks away and heads for the elevator.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Phillip worries.
Chloe
"I care about you Phillip."
Phillip
"Here we go."
Phillip turns around and walks away.
Chloe
"No Phillip."
Chloe walks up behind him. He turns around.
Chloe
"It's just like you said. We've broken up and gotten back together more times than we can count."
Phillip
"So…"
Chloe
"…so I don't want to break up anymore either. I'm scared. What if we did give this another chance and it ends badly?"
Phillip
"I'm willing to take that chance because I love Chloe. I can't imagine not loving you."
Chloe
"I love you to Phillip."
Phillip
"If we're in love then we owe it to ourselves to try again."
Chloe
"You're right. We do."
Phillip
"We don't have to jump into anything so fast or anything."
Chloe
"Yeah, we can take things slow."
Phillip and Chloe pause then slow move toward each other. They gaze into each other's eyes before they begin to kiss.
CHEATIN' HEART
Daniel is drinking away his sorrows at the bar. Stephanie walks in. She sees him and walks over. Daniel looks over at her.
Daniel
"Hey Stephanie."
Stephanie
"Don't talk to me."
Daniel
"Ok."
Daniel sips his drink.
Stephanie
"You just had to bring that little bitch into the world."
Daniel
"If you don't want me to talk to you then don't talk to me and I'm assuming you're referring to my daughter."
Stephanie
"Yes I am."
Daniel
"Well don't talk about my daughter. I don't want to talk about her."
Stephanie
"Aww. Did she do something to upset daddy?"
Daniel
"She defending that lying little bastard Phillip."
Stephanie
"So she's stringing him along while claiming to love Nathan?"
Daniel takes another sip then puts his drink down.
Daniel
"I don't know and don't care. I thought you didn't want to talk to me?"
Stephanie stares at him.
Daniel
"If you don't mind, I would like to finish my drink without you staring a hole into my head because you're mad at me for getting Carly pregnant with Melanie."
Stephanie takes a seat and orders a drink. Daniel continues to drink his.
PHILLIP'S ROOM
Phillip
"We're taking things slow right?"
Chloe
"Yeah"
They say as they continue to kiss. They slowly move to the bed. They briefly stop to take each other's shirts off. Chloe lies down on the bed. Phillip climbs on top and they continue to kiss as Chloe loosens his pants and pulls them down. Phillip shakes them off and pulls down Chloe's panties. They pause to gaze into each other's' eyes one last time before they make love.
