Be Mine Forever
Chapter 8
Will woke up the moment he heard Arianna's voice over the baby monitor. He loved hearing her speak random words. He couldn't wait for her to start talking full sentences.
He got up and made his way into her bedroom. She was on her knees at the edge of her crib looking out over the railing. The second she saw him, she started giggling at him.
"Hello there my precious. What do you need this morning?" he picked her up, took her over to her changing table and proceeded to change her diaper. "One day your daddy and I will walk you down the aisle to marry the man you love. And on that day, I will tell the preacher that I give you to him but I just want you to know that you will always be my little girl, no matter how old you get." He shed tears of sorrow at the thought of his little girl growing up.
He wiped his tears away and picked Ari up. He was going to take her to the kitchen to fix her and Sonny some breakfast but at the last second, he decided to go wake up Sonny so they could make breakfast together as a family.
He climbed into bed with Ari in his arms and placed her next to her sleeping daddy. While Ari climbed on top of Sonny, Will leaned over and kissed him on his lips.
Will loved the hazy look of love in Sonny's eyes when he opened them and saw his family in the bed with him. "I love you Will Horton." He kissed Will and then turned his attention to Arianna and kissed her on the cheek. "I love you too my sweet Arianna Grace Horton. You are the apple of my eye and I couldn't have asked for a more precious daughter if I had written to God Himself asking."
"We love you too Sonny Kiriakis. You are the best thing that ever happened to the two of us. You make me proud to call you my partner and Ari's daddy."
"Let's get up and start our day." Sonny climbed from the bed with their daughter in his arms. "Do you want to give her bath while I take a shower or would you rather I give her one while you take your shower?"
"I would rather take a shower together but since we can't leave her unattended while that happens, how about we give her a bath together and then we can take turns showering while the other plays with her."
"I love your ideas. Come on love. Let's give this little girl her bath." They gathered up all of Arianna's toys that she liked playing with in the tub and they headed into the bathroom where they proceeded to give her a bath.
After giving Arianna her bath, Will drove Sonny to work and then headed to his mom's house to let her know what he had decided to do.
Will was sitting on the loveseat watching his mom play with Arianna when the door opened and his step-dad, EJ walked into the room. He joined Sami on the floor so he could play with Arianna too.
"I didn't know you were here William. I would have already been in here being the doting grandfather." Will laughed at the look on EJ's face when he realized that he had just called himself a grandfather.
"Sounds odd calling yourself a grandfather, don't it?" Will joined EJ and his mom on the floor with his daughter.
"I wouldn't say it sounded odd but it did sound weird because I'm not used to being called grandfather. How dare you Sami?"
"What did I do?"
"You're the reason I am a grandfather at such a young age."
"You didn't have to marry me but you did. I'm not responsible for making you a grandfather. He is." She pointed at Will and laughed.
"You're the one who had me at such a young age. I'm just following in your footsteps." Will leaned over and hugged his mom, shedding more tears than he had since Arianna was born. "I love you Mom."
"I love you too Will. Thank you for this little girl. I don't mind being called a grandma because I have the most wonderful granddaughter in the world. Anytime you and Sonny want some alone time, just say the word, Grandpa EJ and Grammy Sami will keep this little one."
"I might just take you up on that offer this weekend because I've been thinking about taking Sonny out to Smith Island."
"That is so wonderful Will. I just know that he'll say yes. We'll be glad to keep Arianna while you and Sonny spend some time alone." Sami hugged Will's neck again while EJ played with Arianna. They all laughed at him.
Will was happy that his mom had finally found her one true love. Yeah, he had wanted her to be with his dad but he also knew that would never happen. There was to much animosity between Sami Brady and Lucas Roberts. Now his dad had to meet someone and be happy too.
