Melanie and Nathan arrive at their hotel room with their stuff in hand. Nathan turns on the light as they walk in.
Melanie
"Wow, this is nice. Maybe too nice?"
Nathan
"Nothing's too nice for you."
Nathan and Melanie drop their bags on the floor then kiss. Someone looks at them through the window.
Stephanie walks into the Salem PD and over to Bo.
Stephanie
"Hey Uncle Bo."
Bo
"Stephanie, glad you came over."
Stephanie
"What's up?"
Bo
"We have a problem."
Stephanie
"What's wrong?"
Bo
"I found out that Eddie was married."
Stephanie
"Married?"
"Yeah and his wife would like to meet you."
Stephanie
"Why?"
Bo
"She wants to meet to woman that killed her husband."
Stephanie
"I didn't do it on purpose. She was trying to rape me."
Bo
"I know. It was self-defense."
Stephanie
"Does she know what her husband tried to do to me?"
Bo
"I tried to explain it to her, but she doesn't seem to understand. She seems to think that her husband could never do something like that."
Stephanie
"Well she's stupid and I don't want to meet her."
Bo
"Ok I won't force you, but she's till in town and really wants to meet you."
Stephanie
"Well I would like to have avoided her husband's disgusting hands all over me, but we all can't get what we want."
Bo
"Yeah."
Stephanie
"Well if that's all you needed, I'll be gone."
Bo
"Yeah that's all."
Stephanie
"Well goodnight."
Bo
"Goodnight."
Stephanie turns and walks out of the Salem PD. Jamie finishes backing up her bags as Aaron returns.
Aaron
"Are you all packed?"
Jamie
"Yes I am."
Aaron
"Good. The faster you get out of town the better."
Jamie
"If only I got to meet that Stephanie Johnson bitch."
Aaron
"Forget about her."
Jamie
"It's hard, she killed my husband."
Aaron
"I'm sure Eddie deserved it. He was an asshole."
Jamie
"Screw you."
Aaron
"Honestly hurts. Now get you stuff in the car."
Jamie
"Whatever."
Jamie picks up her bags and walks out the door. Aaron checks to make sure he's alone. He then pulls out his wallet and pulls out a picture of Misty Circles.
Aaron
"Oh Misty, I can't believe I've found you. Now that I have, I'll never let you get away again."
Melanie and Nathan stop kissing and smile at one another.
Nathan
"There's that smile I love to see."
Melanie
"Well you bring it out of me."
Nathan
"That's because I'm awesome."
Melanie giggles. They're interrupted by a knock on the door. They turn to the door.
Melanie
"Are we expecting someone?"
Nathan
"I don't know."
Nathan opens the door and it's room service.
Waiter
"Room service."
Nathan
"Thank you, right over there please."
The waiter pushes in the cart and parks it in the middle of the room. Nathan gives him a tip.
Nathan
"Thank you."
Waiter
"My pleasure. Enjoy."
Nathan
"We will."
Melanie doesn't even wait for the waiter to leave before she takes a peak at the food. Nathan closes the door and turns and sees her peaking.
Nathan
"Hey now. No peaking."
Nathan walks over to her and puts the cover back on the food. Melanie giggles again.
Melanie
"But I'm hungry."
Nathan
"I know. I know, but I wanted to open it."
Melanie
"Well open it so we can eat. It's getting cold."
Nathan
"Wow, you're so impatient."
Melanie
"Aww, you know me so well."
Nathan
"Ok I'm going to open it right now. 3…2…2 and a half…"
Melanie
"Open it. Open it or I'll eat your hand."
Nathan
"Ok, ok. Bon appetite!"
Nathan pulls the cover off of dinner and Melanie's eyes light up.
Melanie
"Yay food."
They laugh. Stephanie walks into Cheatin' Heart. Adrienne's at the bar.
Adrienne
"Hey honey."
Stephanie
"Hey Aunt Adrienne."
Adrienne
"How are you doing? I haven't talked to you in a few days."
Stephanie
"I know, I should have called you back and I didn't. I'm sorry."
Adrienne
"It's fine. You know I'm here when you need me."
Stephanie
"Thank you."
Adrienne
"Can I get you anything?"
Stephanie
"A beer please."
Adrienne
"Sure, on the house."
Stephanie
"Thank you."
Adrienne gets Stephanie a beer and opens it for her.
Adrienne
"So how's everything going?"
Adrienne asks as Stephanie takes a sip of her beer.
Stephanie
"You mean since I killed Eddie?"
Adrienne
"It was self-defense."
Stephanie
"I know, but still he's dead because of me."
Adrienne
"Well he had it coming."
Stephanie
"I don't want to talk about him."
Adrienne
"Ok, we can talk about something else."
Stephanie
"Like you and uncle Justin?"
Adrienne
"There is nothing between me and Justin."
Stephanie
"There could be."
Adrienne
"I think that ship has sailed."
Stephanie
"I hope not. You two are great for each other."
Adrienne
"Maybe once upon a time."
Stephanie
"I think it could happen again."
Adrienne
"We were supposed to be talking about you."
Stephanie
"Well I don't want to talk about me. I want you to be happy."
Adrienne
"I want you to be happy to."
Stephanie
"Seeing you happy would make me happy."
Adrienne
"I would like for you to be happy too."
Stephanie
"I could never be happy now that I lost Nathan."
Adrienne
"Nathan isn't the only guy in the world."
Stephanie
"I know, but after Jeremey and Max and Phillip I thought I finally got one, but I was wrong of course. I should have known that it wouldn't work out with him either."
Stephanie takes a few more sips of her beer.
Adrienne
"I'm sorry baby."
Stephanie
"Me too."
Stephanie drinks more of her beer. Aaron continues to gaze at Misty's picture till he hears Jamie coming back in. He quickly puts her picture away.
Jamie
"Alright all my junk is in the car."
Aaron
"Good. Here are the keys. Everything you need is in the glove compartment. Passport, cash, etc."
Jamie takes the keys from Aaron.
Jamie
"Great. The faster I get out of this town the better."
Aaron
"I agree."
Jamie
"Still wish I had the chance to meet that Stephanie Johnson bitch."
Aaron
"Forget about her. Get going."
Jamie rolls her eyes.
Jamie
"Fine. Tell your annoying brat of a daughter I said screw her."
Aaron
"I'll tell her you said bye."
Jamie
"Thanks uncle Aaron."
Aaron
"Anything for you."
They hug then Aaron watches as Jamie heads out the door.
Aaron
"Now to find out where Misty is."
Nathan and Melanie finish up their dinner.
Melanie
"I'm so stuffed."
Nathan
"Me too."
Melanie
"I don't think I've ever eaten that much before."
Nathan
"Me either."
Melanie
"But it was great."
Nathan
"Yeah it was."
Melanie
"So what's next?"
Nathan
"You want more food?"
Melanie shoves Nathan a little.
Melanie
"No silly, I mean what's going to happen next on our little date."
Nathan
"Well I was hoping that maybe you would want to watch some TV."
Melanie
"TV? We renting a room to eat like pigs and watch TV?"
Nathan
"I'm just joking."
Melanie
"Oh just joking huh?"
Nathan
"Yeah."
They gaze at one another.
Melanie
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
Nathan
"I think so."
They're about to kiss, but Melanie stops it.
Melanie
"First, I would like to slip into something a little more fitting for the moment."
Nathan
"Oh really?"
Melanie
"Yeah."
Melanie gets up and grabs her bag then heads for the bathroom.
Nathan
"Make it snappy woman."
Melanie giggles as she goes into the bathroom and closes the door. Nathan starts to yawn as he stands up and heads for the bed.
Nathan
"Why do I feel so tired?"
He wonders. Suddenly, he passes out on the bed. Melanie comes out of the bathroom.
Melanie
"Alright I'm ready."
She says. She sees Nathan passed out on the bed.
Melanie
"Really? I wasn't in there that long."
Melanie walks over to Nathan and shakes him trying to wake him up.
Melanie
"Nathan, Nathan! Wake up!"
But Nathan doesn't wake up. She turns him over and slaps him in the face.
Melanie
"Nathan, wake up!"
Nathan still won't wake up.
Melanie
"I can't believe this."
Melanie says to herself as she begins to yawn herself.
Melanie
"Wow I feel really sleepy right now."
She says before she passes out on the bed next to Nathan. Shortly after she passes out, someone walks into the hotel room and closes the door. They sneak over to the bed and stands over Nathan and Melanie. Back at the Cheatin' Heart, Stephanie finishes up her beer as Adrienne comes back up to the counter.
Adrienne
"Want another?"
Stephanie
"Nope that's all for the night. I think I'm going home to get some rest. It's been a really long day."
Adrienne
"Yeah it feels that way."
Stephanie
"Thanks aunt Adrienne."
Adrienne
"Anytime sweetie."
Stephanie
"Night."
Adrienne
"Night."
Stephanie grabs her purse and heads for the door. She's about to open it when Justin walks in.
Stephanie
"Uncle Justin, hey."
Justin
"Hey Stephanie. How are you?"
Stephanie
"Tired. I'm about to head home."
Stephanie says as Jamie walks past them.
Justin
"Well get home safely Stephanie."
Stephanie
"I will."
They hug. Jamie stops and turns around and stares.
Stephanie
"Night."
Justin
"Night."
Stephanie heads out the door as Justin heads to the counter. Jamie follows Stephanie out. Stephanie stands a little ways from the door looking in her purse for her keys as Jamie walks out.
Jamie
"Stephanie?"
She says. Stephanie pauses then turns around.
Stephanie
"Yes?"
Jamie walks closer.
Jamie
"Stephanie Johnson?"
Stephanie
"Can I help you?"
Jamie
"Yeah. You can tell me why you killed my husband."
Stephanie seems confused. Inside, Justin sits at the bar while Adrienne's back is too him.
Justin
"May I have a scotch please?"
He asks. Adrienne freezes then slowly turns around and looks at him.
Adrienne
"Justin, hey."
Justin
"Hello Adrienne."
Adrienne
"Oh yeah…um scotch coming right up."
Justin
"Thanks."
Adrienne gets Justin a glass and a bottle of scotch and pours Justin some.
Adrienne
"So how was your day?"
Justin
"Long."
Adrienne
"Stephanie said the same thing."
Justin
"Well it does feel like it's been pretty long."
Adrienne
"I agree."
Justin takes a sip of his scotch.
Justin
"So, you're about to close soon."
Adrienne
"Yep."
Justin
"Good. I would like to hang out with you and talk."
Adrienne
"It's kind of late for a talk."
Justin
"Maybe you should spend the night then."
Adrienne
"Spend the night?"
Justin
"Why not?"
Adrienne smiles. Justin smiles back. Outside, Jamie confronts Stephanie.
Stephanie
"Oh you're Eddie's wife. My Uncle Bo told me about you."
Jamie
"Did he tell you that I wanted to speak with you?"
Stephanie
"Yeah, but I didn't want to."
Jamie
"Oh are you afraid to confront the wife of the man you murdered?
Stephanie
"No I didn't. I didn't want to waste my time."
Jamie
"Too bad bitch. It's time you answer for what you've done."
Stephanie
"Do you even know the kind of man, if you could call him that, you married?"
Jamie
"Eddie was a good man."
Stephanie laughs.
Jamie
"It's true."
Stephanie
"He was blackmailing my ex-boyfriend, covered up a hit and run of a pregnant woman, and let's not leave out the fact that he was trying to rape me."
Jamie
"Eddie would never done any of that. He loved me. He would never want to be with another woman especially someone like you."
Stephanie
"Well he wanted me. He wanted me so damn bad he was going to do whatever he could possibly do to get it. Too bad it's the last thing he ever did."
Jamie lungs at Stephanie knocking her to the ground. She attempts to choke Stephanie, but Stephanie knocks her off. Stephanie tries to stand up, but Jamie pulls her back down. They roll around on the ground.
Stephanie
"Get off of me you crazy bitch."
Stephanie yells.
Jamie
"Not until you pay for killing my Eddie."
Stephanie punches Jamie then pushes her off of her. Stephanie stands up to get away, but Jamie gets up and knocks her back to the ground. Stephanie hits her head on the ground knocking her unconscious. Jamie hovers over Stephanie.
Jamie
"Stephanie?"
Jamie shakes her, but Stephanie doesn't respond.
Jamie
"I killed her?"
Jamie stands up and brushes the dirt off of herself. Suddenly someone walks up behind her and starts choking her. Aaron closes his laptop then pulls out the picture of Misty Circles again.
Aaron
"So Misty, your real name is Nicole Walker. Well Misty…Nicole, that's fine. I will find a way to deal with that name and I will do whatever it takes to get back with you."
Aaron kisses the picture then places it on top of his laptop. He turns off his light and heads to bed.
