It's a new day in Salem. At the Kiriakis mansion, Brady is reading the paper and drinking coffee in the living room when Arianna walks in.
Arianna
"Good morning."
Brady looks up from the paper to look at her. He smiles.
Brady
"Morning gorgeous."
Arianna
"You're up early."
Arianna says as she walks over to the breakfast table to pour herself some tea.
Brady
"Yeah well I have a busy day ahead of me."
Brady says before taking a sip of his coffee as Arianna takes a sip of her tea.
Arianna
"So what are you up to today?"
Brady
"Well I have a meeting with grandfather and then I'm going to meet up with Nicole."
Arianna
"Nicole, really?"
Brady
"Yeah I ran into her yesterday before her doctor's appointment, but I had to go to a meeting so I said I would meet up with her today to find out how it went."
Arianna
"Oh well that sounds fun."
Arianna takes another sip of her tea.
Brady
"I know you're not happy that I'm spending time with Nicole."
Arianna
"You're right, I don't like that you're spending more time with Nicole. I mean you don't even know that you're the father, but you're all interested in the baby."
Brady
"You're right. I will talk to Nicole about doing a DNA test."
Arianna
"Good."
Brady
"There is a good chance that I am the father Arianna."
Arianna
"And we will deal with that when the time comes, but I would hate to see you get all attached to this baby and then find out that he or she is EJ's. Not to mention Nicole is using this baby as a way to try and win you back."
Brady
"I know, but it's not going to happen."
Arianna
"Whatever."
Arianna finishes up her tea. Brady puts his paper down and walks over to her.
Brady
"It's not going to happen. I'm committed to you and there's nothing that Nicole can do about that. Okay?"
Arianna
"There better not be."
Brady pulls Arianna into a kiss as Victor walks in. He looks at them then quickly turns away.
Victor
"Good thing I haven't had breakfast yet or I would definitely be throwing it up right now."
Brady and Arianna stop kissing and turn their attention to Victor.
Brady
"Morning grandfather."
Arianna
"Morning Victor."
Victor
"Of all the rooms in their house you two couldn't find one to make out in?"
Brady
"Sorry grandfather."
Victor
"Oh well at least it wasn't Phillip and Chloe. I think that would be more disgusting. Though I haven't figured out whether or not Arianna is worse than Chloe. Oh well. I still have time."
Arianna
"Arianna is standing right here."
Victor
"Unfortunately."
Brady
"Grandfather."
Victor
"What?"
Victor asks with a smile.
Arianna
"I'll take that as my cue to leave."
Victor
"Aww. Don't leave on my account."
Arianna turns to Brady.
Arianna
"See you later."
Arianna gives Brady a kiss before leaving. Victor barely waits until he hears Arianna closes the door before he starts talking again.
Victor
"I don't know what's worse. The fact that you married that drug dealer or you could have possibly knocked out slut of an ex-wife of mine Nicole."
Brady
"I believe you've said that before."
Victor
"Well I'm still pondering."
Brady
"Well while we're on the subject of Nicole, I'm going to see her this morning."
Victor
"And why's that?"
Brady
"To discuss the baby."
Victor
"Why? Are you indeed the father?"
Brady
"I'm not sure yet."
Victor
"I think you need to find out if you're the father or not. The baby is more than far enough along to do a DNA test."
Brady
"I think so too."
Victor
"So tell Nicole it's time to run the damn test so you can be free of her."
Brady
"But I could be the father."
Victor
"Well I'm praying you're not. The last thing you need to do is being attached to that slut. Arianna, you could easily divorce. Have a kid with Nicole and you're doomed for life."
Brady
"You were married to Nicole once. Do you remember that?"
Victor
"Thanks for reminding me. I've been trying to block that memory out of my mind."
Brady
"Well you're welcome."
Victor
"So when are you're going to meet with Nicole?"
Brady
"This morning."
Victor
"This morning? Did you forget our meeting with Alex Santiago?"
Brady
"No I didn't. I'll be back in time for the meeting I'm promise."
Victor
"You better."
Brady
"Gonna talk to Nicole for maybe 10 minutes."
Victor
"Well you better get going if you're going to make it back in time."
Brady
"I'm going right now."
Brady heads for the door.At the DiMera mansion, EJ's pouring himself some tea when Nicole comes downstairs. EJ watches as she walks up to the mirror and start checking herself out and fixing her hair.
EJ
"Morning darling."
Nicole looks over at EJ.
EJ
"No need to get all dolled up for me."
He smiles. Nicole giggles.
Nicole
"I'm not getting all dolled up for you. I'm going to see Brady."
EJ
"Does he know you're coming?"
Nicole
"Yes he does. We talked and agreed to meet for breakfast to talk about our baby."
EJ
"Why is Brady interested in our baby?"
Nicole
"This is Brady's baby. Come on get it together EJ."
EJ
"I could be the father just as much if not more than Brady."
Nicole
"And why is that?"
EJ
"I got your pregnant before why not again?"
Nicole gets upset and looks down. EJ realizes he screwed up.
EJ
"I'm sorry Nicole. I didn't mean to bring up our daughter."
Nicole looks up.
Nicole
"It's fine. I think about our daughter all the time."
EJ
"Me too. Now we're going to have another one."
Nicole
"Yeah…I mean…Brady and I am going to have a daughter."
EJ
"Sure"
Nicole
"Speaking of Brady, I need to get moving or I'm going to be late to meet him."
Nicole turns to leave.
EJ
"Have fun."
Nicole
"I will."
Nicole says before leaving. Stefano comes downstairs.
Stefano
"Where's Nicole off to so early? Is there a sale?"
Stefano asks as he makes his way into the living to pour himself some tea. EJ turns and walks behind him.
EJ
"No, she's meeting Brady."
Stefano
"Or really? Brady's stepping out on Arianna already?"
EJ
"No they're going to discuss the baby."
Stefano
"What? The baby is a DiMera is it not?"
EJ
"I believe so, but Nicole still believes that the baby is Brady's."
Stefano
"Well she's wrong."
EJ
"I know. She'll realize it eventually."
Stefano
"Yes, well we need to focus on our important meeting with Alex Santiago."
EJ
"Yes we do."
Stefano
"It's important we gain as a client. Victor Kiriakis is after him."
EJ
"Don't worry Father; Santiago will be with DiMera enterprises."
EJ and Stefano are interrupted by the doorbell.
Alfred
"I'll get it Sir."
Alfred opens the door and it's Aaron/Alex.
Alfred
"Hello."
Aaron/Alex
"Hi. I'm Alex Santiago. I'm here to see Stefano and Elvis DiMera."
Alfred
"Oh yes. Come on in. They're in the living room awaiting your arrival."
Alfred steps aside so Aaron/Alex could come in then closes the door.
Alfred
"Right this way Sir."
Alfred shows Aaron/Alex to the living room. Stefano and EJ watches as they walk into the room.
Stefano
"Thank you Alfred that will be all."
Alfred exits.
EJ
"Mr. Santiago, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm EJ."
Aaron/Alex and EJ shake hands.
Aaron/Alex
"The pleasure is all mines Mr. DiMera."
Aaron turns to Stefano and shakes his hand.
Stefano
"Stefano DiMera."
Aaron
"Thank you for meeting with me so soon. I just got into town late yesterday afternoon."
Stefano
"Well we don't like to waste time."
Aaron/Alex
"That's good to know. I don't like my time wasted."
EJ
"Well we don't want to waste your time. Let's get down to business."
Aaron/Alex
"Sure, let's do it."
They're then interrupted by Alfred.
Alfred
"Excuse me Sir."
Stefano
"What is it Alfred?"
Alfred
"Mr. Chang is on the phone for you."
Stefano grunts.
Stefano
"Excuse me Mr. Santiago, but Mr. Chang is one of my most important clients."
Aaron/Alex
"Understandable."
EJ
"I can handle things from here Father."
Stefano
"Thank you Elvis."
Stefano takes the phone from Alfred and steps out of the room.
EJ
"Ok now let's get down to business."
Aaron/Alex
"Alright. Well I'd like to offer DiMera Enterprises the best service you could ever dream of."
EJ smiles with delight. At the Brady Pub, Nicole's sitting at a table looking at the menu while waiting for Brady to arrive.
Nicole
"So what should we have for breakfast little one?"
Nicole looks down and rubs her belly.
Nicole
"You're right. Anything, but Caroline's clam chowder."
Brady walks in as Nicole looks up. She smiles as he walks over to her.
Brady
"Hey."
Nicole
"Hey."
Brady sits down across from her.
Brady
"So how are you and the baby doing this morning?"
Nicole
" about you?"
Nicole says as she continues to smile.
Brady
"I'm doing well. A little hungry."
Nicole
"Yes we are too."
Brady
"What do you want?"
Nicole
"An omelet."
Brady
"One omelet coming up."
Brady gets up to go place their order, but Nicole stops him.
Nicole
"No I want pancakes."
Brady
"Ok pancakes it is."
Brady starts to walk away, but Nicole stops him again.
Nicole
"No wait, some scrambled eggs and bacon."
Brady
"You know what? I'm just going to order all three."
Nicole
"Aww. Thank you."
Brady
"You're welcome. Now can I place our order now?"
Nicole
"Yes."
Brady
"Thank you."
Brady heads to the counter as Nicole can't stop smiling, but stops when Arianna walks in.
Nicole
"Arianna, hello."
Arianna
"Hi Nicole. What brings you by The Pub?"
Nicole
"Food."
Arianna
"There are a lot of places in Salem that serve food. Why don't you go to one of those?"
Nicole
"Well I like the food here. Well except the clam chowder."
Arianna rolls her eyes. Nicole smiles.
Nicole
"Plus your husband invited me here."
Nicole says as Brady returns.
Brady
"Arianna, I didn't know you were working now. I thought you had something else to do."
Arianna
"I did, but someone asked me to switch shifts with them so here I am."
Brady
"Ah. I'm sorry I should have picked another spot for our breakfast meeting."
Nicole
"I don't see a problem with it."
Arianna
"Of course you don't."
Brady
"You know what? We can leave."
Nicole
"But you just ordered our food."
Arianna
"It's fine. Eat. Talk. I'm going to clock in and get to work."
Nicole
"Have fun."
Nicole says with a smirk as Arianna starts to walk away. She stops, turns around and kisses Brady. Nicole gets mad. Arianna turns and winks and smiles at Nicole before walking off. Nicole huffs. Brady sits down across from here again.
Nicole
"Well it's so nice to see Arianna again."
Brady
"That's you being sarcastic I assume."
Nicole
"Why did you marry her anyways? You could do so much better."
Brady
"Like you?"
Nicole
"Now you're getting it."
Brady laughs.Back at the DiMera mansion, EJ and Aaron/Alex are discussing their business arrangement. EJ's looking over Aaron/Alex's proposal.
EJ
"I like what I see here."
EJ says as he closes up the folder and places it on the table.
Aaron/Alex
"Thank you sir."
EJ stands up and walks over to pour himself a drink.
EJ
"Would you like a drink?"
He offers Aaron/Alex.
Aaron/Alex
"Sure, why now."
Aaron/Alex looks over at the pictures that are on the mantel as EJ pours their drinks. He notices the one of EJ and Nicole on their wedding picks it up for a closer look as EJ walks over with their drinks.
EJ
"Here you go."
EJ said as he hands Aaron/Alex his glass. Aaron/Alex puts down the picture and takes the glass from EJ.
Aaron/Alex
"You have a beautiful wife."
EJ
"She's not my wife anymore."
Aaron/Alex
"Oh. I'm sorry."
EJ
"It's fine. Things happened that tore us apart."
Aaron/Alex
"You two look pretty happy. Do you think that it could work out?"
EJ
"Actually yes I do think we could work things out."
Aaron/Alex
"That's awesome."
EJ
"Yeah it is. Nicole is a great woman and I love her very much."
EJ pauses.
EJ
"I haven't admitted that I love Nicole."
Aaron/Alex
"She doesn't know?"
EJ
"No. No she doesn't. She's interested in another guy, but I want her back so I will do whatever it takes."
EJ takes a sip of his drink.
Aaron/Alex
"That's awesome. Good luck to you man."
EJ
"Thank you."
EJ says. Stefano walks back in.
Stefano
"Sorry about the interference."
Aaron/Alex
"It's all good Mr. DiMera."
Stefano
"So what did I miss?"
EJ
"Everything."
Aaron/Alex
"Yeah I gotta get going. I have another meeting I have to attend, but I left my portfolio for you to look over."
EJ
"It's amazing father."
Stefano
"I will have to read it over."
Aaron/Alex
"I'll give you guys a call later on in the day then."
Stefano
"Sounds great."
Aaron/Alex
"Alright, good day gentlemen."
Aaron/Alex says before exiting. Stefano waits till he leaves before he talks to EJ.
Stefano
"So everything's good?"
EJ
"Yes. There's no way that Mr. Santiago will be doing business with Victor Kiriakis."
Outside, Aaron pulls out the picture of Nicole and talks to it.
Aaron
"So EJ DiMera thinks he can get you back? Not going to happen."
Aaron puts the picture back in his jacket.
Aaron
"Sorry Elvis."
He says before walking off. Back at The Brady Pub, Brady and Nicole eat breakfast and talk about the baby.
Nicole
"This is so good."
Nicole says with a mouth full of food.
Brady
"I can tell."
Brady notices as he takes a sip of coffee.
Nicole
"Sorry, just hungry. You know eating for two."
Brady
"Yeah speaking of which, did you find out the sex?"
Nicole wipes her mouth with a napkin.
Nicole
"Yes I did."
Brady
"And?"
Nicole
"We're having a girl."
Nicole smiles as Brady smiles at the news. Arianna looks over at them from the bar.
Brady
"Wow, a girl."
Nicole
"Yeah I have a picture if you want to see."
Brady
"Sure."
Nicole pulls out the sonogram of her purse and hands it to Brady.
Nicole
"You can keep that one. I have copies."
Brady smiles as he looks at sonogram. Arianna looks over sad.
Brady
"This is…"
Nicole
"…amazing?"
Brady
"Yes. Amazing."
Nicole
"Our daughter is in great health. She's our little miracle baby."
Brady
"We don't even know if I'm the father."
Nicole
"I know you're the father."
Brady
"We can't go on your feeling. EJ is going to want proof and so will Victor."
Nicole
"What about you?"
Brady
"Yeah I want the proof also."
Nicole
"Ok, we can do that. I'll talk with EJ."
Brady
"Ok good. Well I'm going to pay the check then I need to head back home for a meeting."
Nicole
"Ok."
Brady gets up and kisses Nicole on the forehead before heading to the counter to pay. Nicole's phone rings. She pulls it out and looks at the id. It's Chloe. She answers.
Nicole
"Hey Chloe. Sure we can meet up later. Ok bye."
Nicole stands up to leave, but turns around to talk to and runs into Arianna.
Nicole
"Sorry, where's Brady?"
Arianna
"He left already."
Nicole
"Oh well I'll call him later then."
Arianna
"Not unless you're planning on getting a DNA test."
Nicole
"Not that it's any of your business, but we talked about that."
Arianna
"It is my business. Brady is my husband."
Nicole
"No duh."
Arianna
"You don't seem to understand that."
Nicole
"I understand it perfectly."
Arianna
"No you don't. You want Brady for yourself and you're using this baby to do it."
Arianna says as she pokes Nicole's belly.
Nicole
"Hey, don't poke my baby."
Arianna
"You're unbelievable. You have no shame in what you're doing."
Nicole
"I haven't even done anything."
Arianna
"Oh really? I saw how you're working Brady."
Nicole
"Whatever you say Arianna, I'm going home."
Nicole walks out on Arianna.
Arianna
"Bitch."
Arianna says as she crosses her arms. At the Kiriakis mansion, Aaron/Alex rings the doorbell. Henderson answers.
Henderson
"Good morning, how may I help you?"
Aaron/Alex
"I'm here to meet with Victor Kiriakis. My name is Alex Santiago."
Henderson
"Oh yes. Mr. Santiago, Mr. Kiriakis is expecting you."
Henderson lets Aaron/Alex into the house and closes the door. He then leads them to the living room where Victor is waiting for him.
Henderson
"Mr. Kiriakis, Mr. Santiago is here to see you."
Victor
"Ah yes Mr. Santiago, nice to meet you."
They shake hands.
Aaron/Alex
"Nice to meet you as well Mr. Kiriakis, but call me Alex."
Victor
"Well call me Victor."
Aaron/Alex
"Ok Victor."
Victor
"Great. Now let's get started."
Victor as Brady walks into.
Brady
"Sorry I'm late."
Brady says. Victor and Aaron/Alex look over at him.
Victor
"You're right on time."
Aaron/Alex
"Ah, you must be Brady Kiriakis."
Aaron/Alex holds his hand out for Brady to shake. Brady stares at him then shakes his hand.
Brady
"Brady Black actually and I believe we've met already."
Aaron/Alex
"Oh yeah outside of that coffee shop."
Brady
"Java Café."
Aaron/Alex
"Oh yes Java Café. Nice place."
Brady
"Yeah it is. Maybe you should go back there like now."
Aaron/Alex
"You guys want to meet there?"
Brady
"I think you should go there by yourself and never come back here. Titan doesn't need your business."
Aaron/Alex
"Oh"
Victor
"Brady, could I speak to you in the foyer for a moment?"
Brady
"Sure."
Brady and Victor head to the foyer. Victor closes the doors behind them.
Victor
"What the hell Brady?"
Brady
"That man is not worth it."
Victor
"What the hell happened at Java?"
Brady
"He called Nicole Misty."
Victor
"This is about Nicole? Maybe he's just a fan of her work."
Brady
"I have a bad feeling about him."
Victor
"Well take your bad feeling somewhere else. Doing business with Santiago will be a huge gain for Titan. I'm not going to lose out of this just because of Nicole."
Brady
"Well I don't want to have any part of it."
Victor
"Fine then. You can find somewhere else to work."
Brady's shocked.
Victor
"No if you excuse me, I have some business to take care of."
Brady
"Grandfather"
Brady says, but Victor ignores him and walks back in the living room. Brady stares at the door for a moment before leaving the mansion. Back inside the living room, Victor approaches Aaron/Alex who's just getting off the phone.
Victor
"Sorry about that."
Aaron/Alex
"It's fine. Where did Brady go?"
Victor
"Out, he won't be joining us."
Aaron/Alex
"Oh. I guess I made a bad first impression."
Victor
"He'll be fine. Let's get back to business."
Aaron/Alex
"I wish I could, but I have an emergency at the office that I need to take care of. So I can leave my portfolio here for you and call you later and set up another meeting."
Victor
"Ok that's fine."
Aaron/Alex hands Victor the portfolio.
Aaron/Alex
"You have a great day."
Aaron/Alex leaves the mansion. Victor looks at the portfolio in his hands.
Victor
"Damn it Brady, you better not have messed this up for me."
At the DiMera mansion, Stefano looks over Santiago's proposal.
Stefano
"I love it."
He says has he takes a sip of his drink.
EJ
"This is going to change DiMera Enterprises forever."
Stefano
"Yes indeed."
EJ and Stefano take sips of their drinks at the same time.
Stefano
"So what were you and Alex Santiago talking about?"
EJ
"The business."
Stefano
"I sense there was more than business talk going on."
EJ
"You're right. We were discussing Nicole."
Stefano
"Why's that?"
EJ
"He saw the photo of mines and Nicole's wedding. He thought we were still married and I told him we weren't."
Stefano
"What? Does he want Nicole or something?"
EJ
"No, he wondered if we could work things out and I believe we could. I also admitted that I love Nicole and I want her back. I'll do anything to get her back."
Stefano
"Well it would suck, as the kids say these days, if Nicole found out you know about Brady and Arianna's wedding. I'm sure she wouldn't like that you made her look like a fool in front of Arianna Hernandez."
Stefano laughs as Nicole enters the room.
Nicole
"Oh really."
EJ and Stefano look over at her. Stefano stops laughing and EJ looks nervous.
EJ
"Nicole, you're home."
Nicole
"Yeah and just in time don't you think?"
Stefano looks at EJ then back at Nicole as they stare at one another.
Stefano
"I think that's my cue to leave."
Stefano heads for the door.
EJ
"I'm sorry you found out this way. I should have told you."
Nicole
"Yeah you should have before I went over and made a fool of myself in front of Arianna."
EJ
"What does it matter?"
Nicole
"It matters to me."
Nicole stops and thinks for a moment.
Nicole
"You don't even want to help me get Brady back, do you?"
EJ takes a deep breath.
EJ
"No I don't."
Nicole
"You bastard."
EJ
"Yeah just call me names."
Nicole
"You deserve that and more. I did everything you asked me to do to keep you out of prison and out of trouble with your precious Samantha and this is the thanks that I get? You just used me. Though I shouldn't be surprised you are a DiMera after all."
EJ
"I don't care about Samantha. I care about you."
Nicole
"Me? Oh really? I'm just your second choice. If Samantha didn't choose Rafe over you and I wasn't pregnant, then you wouldn't want to have anything to do with me."
EJ
"That's not true."
Nicole
"Oh really and why is that?"
EJ
"Because I love you."
Nicole's shocked.
EJ
"I love you Nicole Walker. I would do anything to make things work out for us."
Nicole
"I don't know what to say."
EJ
"Say that you'll give up on Brady. Give me another chance, please? I beg of you."
Nicole
"Why should I give you another chance when you used and lied to me?"
EJ
"Because you kidnapped Sydney."
Nicole quickly slaps him then starts to cry lightly. She stares at EJ as she wipes tears from her eyes. She then leaves the mansion. EJ watches her leave as he rubs his left cheek. At University Hospital, a man enters Vivian's hospital room as she lays motionless in her coma. He walks in and closes the door. He walks to her bedside and touches her hand. He then sits down next to her bed.
Man
"I'm so sorry this happened to you. I came as soon as I could. I know you've been looking for me, but I was afraid of you finding me. I'm in danger and so is my daughter. I need to find her. Please, wake up. I need your help. You're the only one that can help me."
Suddenly, the door opens. The man looks over to see who it is. It's Carly.
Carly
"Oh my. Nicholas!"
She says in amazement.
