Be Mine Forever
Chapter 12
Later that night, as Will and Sonny lay in each other's arms sleeping; Gabi was standing on their front porch with Arianna in her stroller sound asleep.
She pulled her cell phone from her pocket and dialed Will and Sonny's house phone. Will groggily answered it on the third ring.
"Hello." She was scared to say anything but she knew she had to tell him what she had done. "Is anybody there?" he asked.
"Will, it's Gabi."
"Gabi, what are you doing calling at this time of the morning. It's almost four a.m."
"Will, do you think that Justin Kiriakis would defend me after everything I've done?" Will sat up straight in the bed, waking Sonny up immediately.
"Why would Mr. K have to defend you Gabi? What did you do?"
"Let's just say that you and Sonny never have to worry about Nick again."
"What did you do Gabi?"
"What I had to do for our daughter's well-being. I owed it to her and to you and Sonny. I just want you to know Will, that I have never stopped loving you. You will always be the love of my life. Goodbye."
"What do you mean? You're not leaving Salem, are you?"
"I am and I don't want you to try to find me. I want you and Sonny to raise Arianna and tell her that her mother did what she could to make sure that she was safe. Y'all are better suited to raise her than I am." Just then, Will heard a knock on their front door.
He jumped out of the bed and ran thru the house with Sonny following close behind him. Will knew by the time they made it to the door and got it opened that Gabi would be gone.
He looked down and saw their daughter laying in her stroller sound asleep. He grabbed her from the stroller careful not to wake her up.
Will walked back into the house and Sonny followed, bringing in the stroller. "How long do you think she's been on our porch by herself?" Sonny asked as they sat down on the couch with a sleeping Arianna between them.
"I don't think she's been out there for very long because she's still warm. I'm worried about Gabi. I think she did something to Nick."
"What makes you think that Will?" Sonny asked as he caressed Will's neck while watching Arianna sleep soundly.
"She said goodbye to me after telling me that she would always love me and that she did what was best for Arianna and us."
"That's deep. Do you really think she's leaving town?"
"I don't know Sonny. She's been my best friend for so long. I don't want to lose her. Nothing could ever happen between her and me again because I'm madly in love with this sexy, gorgeous, perfect for me man but she was my first love. I lost my virginity to her. That's a big deal. Plus, she's Arianna's mother."
"I know babe. I'll talk to my dad and see what he can do to help her out if she decides to stay in town. I'm sure my dad will help her if I ask him too."
"You would do that for her even after she did what she did to Melanie?"
"No, babe. I would do it for you and our daughter. She's your friend and Ari's mom. I want to do what's best for everybody and I know that she loves Ari almost as much as you and I do." Will leaned over and kissed Sonny.
"That's wonderful. Can we let her sleep in our bed just for tonight? After almost losing her, I am kind of scared to leave her in her bedroom alone."
"Sure love. Let's go back to bed with our beautiful daughter." They went into the bedroom and all three of them laid down on their king size bed, Arianna in between both men, and they slept the rest of the morning. They both decided that they would deal with Gabi when they woke up.
Later that morning, after waking up to find their daughter sitting in the middle of their bed smiling at both of them, they got out of bed, took turns showering, getting dressed and giving Ari her bath and dressing her.
Sonny called CG and told them that he would be coming in the afternoon because he had some personal family business to take care of.
His assistant manager, Chloe, told him that she would take care of everything until he arrived and for him to take his time.
They went to talk to Justin about what they could do to help Gabi out of whatever situation she had gotten herself into.
"Well boys, there's not much I can tell you until I know what she's done."
"That's the problem dad. We're not sure what she's done. But she did ask Will is you would defend her after everything she did to Mel."
"Well, like I said, it would help to know what she did this time." Just then, Justin's secretary's voice came over the intercom.
"Mr. K, Detectives Brady and Hernandez are here to see you."
"Thanks Cynthia. Send them in." he turned his attention back to Will and Sonny. "Boys, I need to talk to Hope and Rafe. I'll try to help but you need to find out what she did first."
"Okay dad. Talk to you later." Sonny leaned over and hugged his dad's neck after him and Will stood up to leave.
As they were walking out Justin's office, they ran into Hope and Rafe. "Hello boys. What are the two of you doing here?" Rafe asked as he leaned down to smile at his niece. He stood up when he realized she was napping.
"We were here to talk to my dad about some personal matters. Why?"
"Were you here to talk him into taking my sister's case?" Will looked over at Sonny and back to Rafe.
"We don't know what you're talking about."
"Sure you don't."
"Seriously, we don't. I was actually here to ask my dad to be my best man at the wedding."
"You're getting married?"
"Yeah, we are. I thought you knew. Sorry Hope. I just thought that somebody would have told you."
"No, they haven't. Of course, you could have told me. I guess I'm not all that important anymore."
"Well, I didn't know if you would think it a good idea for two fags to get married or not. For all I know, you believe like our cousin Nick. He's not that fond of us gays."
"I don't believe like him. I'm glad you found someone to fall in love with, even if it is a man."
"Come on Hope. We need to go in and talk to Justin. See you boys later." Rafe and Hope left them standing just outside the door as they went into the lawyer's office.
"We need to find out what Gabi has done and why she needs a lawyer. Come on babe." Will and Sonny pushed Ari's stroller out of the building and headed over to the courthouse to see if they could find out anything about Gabi's situation.
