Mimi and Tyler are playing in the park when Phillip arrives.
Phillip
"Hey Mimi."
Mimi looks over at him.
Mimi
"Hey Phillip."
Phillip looks at Tyler as Tyler looks up at him.
Phillip
"So you must be Tyler."
Tyler
"Yeah. I'm Tyler."
Phillip
"Nice to meet you."
Phillip holds out his hand for Tyler to shake. Tyler shakes his hand and smiles.
Tyler
"Nice to meet you too."
Phillip smiles.
Tyler
"Do you want to play some football?
Phillip
"Sure."
Phillip and Tyler play some football as Mimi watches on. Tyler tackles Phillip. They all laugh. Not too far away, Chloe and Nicole are chatting and catching up at The Brady Pub.
Nicole
"I can't believe you got stabbed."
Chloe
"Me either."
They're silent.
Nicole
"I can't believe that EJ still loves me."
Chloe
"Do you love EJ?"
Nicole pauses.
Nicole
"A part of me does, but a part of me loves Brady too. What am I going to do?"
Chloe
"You should start by getting a DNA test. Then this way you know who the father is at least."
Nicole
"Yeah, you're right."
Chloe
"Maybe it'll help guide your heart as well."
Nicole
"Maybe so."
Nicole pulls out her phone.
Nicole
"I'm going to set up a time right now to get this done."
Nicole calls University Hospital to get an appointment for her DNA test then calls EJ and Brady to meet her at the hospital. A few hours later, Nicole arrives at the hospital. EJ is close behind followed by Brady and Arianna. Nicole gets mad.
Nicole
"Why is she here?"
Brady
"Because she's my wife and this outcome affects her as much as it affects me."
EJ
"Arianna has no place here. This is between you, Nicole, and me."
Nicole
"Thank you EJ."
Brady
"Of course he would agree with you."
Dr. Walters interrupts.
Dr. Walters
"Hello. Ready for the DNA testing?"
EJ
"Beyond ready."
Dr. Walters
"Then let's get to it."
Nicole, Brady, and EJ submit their DNA for testing then await the results. Meanwhile, Chloe enters the park to meet up with Phillip who's spending time with Tyler and Mimi. She walks up to see them laughing and having fun. She feels upset as she rubs her belly. She snaps out of it, puts on a smile and walks over to them.
Chloe
"Hey."
She says. Mimi, Phillip, and Tyler look over at her.
Phillip
"Hey gorgeous."
Phillip says as he stands up and hugs her briefly.
Chloe
"Looks like you guys had some fun."
Phillip
"Yes we did."
Chloe
"That's good."
Mimi
"Yep, but now it's nap time."
Tyler
"No."
Mimi
"Yes. Let's get our stuff and go."
Tyler
"Ok."
Phillip
"We'll see each other another time."
Tyler
"Ok."
Phillip
"High five."
Tyler gives Phillip a high five before he and Mimi leave the park. Phillip gives Chloe a kiss.
Chloe
"I see you had fun with Tyler."
Phillip
"Yep he's a great kid."
Chloe
"Cool."
Phillip
"So how was your day?"
Chloe
"Good. I hung out with Nicole."
Phillip
"Cool how is she doing?"
Chloe
"Great. I guess. She's getting the DNA test done today."
Phillip
"Oh great."
Chloe
"Yeah and she found out that EJ loves her and she realizes that she loves him as well."
Phillip
"Oh well that's even greater."
Chloe
"I guess."
Phillip
"Well I hope the test goes the way she wants it."
Chloe
"Me too."
Phillip
"So what do you want to do?"
Chloe
"Idk we can…"
Phillip and Chloe get interrupted by Phillip's phone. He checks the ID.
Phillip
"So, gotta take this."
Chloe
"Ok."
Phillip
"Hello? Yes. Really? Ok, I'll be right there."
Phillip hangs up.
Chloe
"Sounds important."
Phillip
"It is, I have to go to the office for a little bit, but I'll meet you at home later."
Chloe
"Sounds good."
Phillip and Chloe kiss briefly before Phillip take off. Back at the hospital, Nicole, EJ, Brady, and Arianna await the DNA test results.
Nicole walks over to EJ.
Nicole
"Can we talk?"
EJ
"I already know you want Brady to be the father."
Nicole
"I don't care if Brady's the father or not."
EJ
"But you're so in love with Brady and could care less about me."
Nicole
"I do love Brady, but he doesn't love me the way I love him. It's a waste of time going after someone who doesn't want me when there's someone who wants me and he's standing right here."
EJ
"Are you saying you want to give us another chance?"
Nicole
"Yes I do. No matter the outcome."
EJ is shocked. Brady looks suspiciously at Nicole and EJ. He's about to walk over when Arianna walks up.
Arianna
"Hey. Did you get the results yet?"
Brady
"No not yet."
Arianna
"Good. I want to be here when you get the news."
Arianna holds Brady's hands as they smile at each other. They're interrupted as Dr. Walters comes out with an envelope in hand.
Dr. Walters
"I have the results."
Brady
"Let's have it."
Dr. Walters opens the envelope and pulls out the results. He looks them over then looks up at everyone.
Nicole
"So, who's my baby's father?"
Dr. Walter smiles.
Dr. Walter
"Congratulations….EJ DiMera, you are the father."
EJ smiles. Arianna breathes a sigh of relieve. Brady and Nicole look at one another. Nicole walks over to him.
Nicole
"Well you're free from me. I'll leave you and…"
Nicole looks over at Arianna.
Nicole
"…Arianna alone."
Arianna
"Good."
Arianna smiles as Nicole turns away and walks over to EJ. Dr. Walters hands the DNA results to EJ and Nicole.
Dr. Walters
"Congratulations guys."
EJ
"Thank you Dr. Walters."
EJ smiles as Dr. Walters walks away. He then looks at Nicole.
EJ
"So we're going to be parent again."
Nicole
"Hopefully with a better outcome."
EJ
"Of course."
Nicole
"I'm ready to go home and talk."
EJ
"Me too."
EJ holds his arm out.
EJ
"Shall we?"
They lock arms as they walk pass Brady and Arianna and out of the hospital.
Arianna
"Well they seem happy."
Brady
"Yeah they do."
Brady says sadly.
Arianna
"What's wrong?"
Brady
"Nothing."
Arianna
"Did you want to be the father?"
Brady
"I just…I liked the idea of maybe being a father even though Nicole was going to be the mother."
Arianna
"Oh."
Brady
"But this is a good thing. Then this way you can be the mother of my child."
Arianna smiles.
Arianna
"I would like that."
They kiss.
Brady
"Are you hungry?"
Arianna
"Yes."
Brady
"Let's go have a romantic dinner at Chez Rouge."
Arianna
"I love the sound of that."
Brady and Arianna hold hands as they leave the hospital.
