A couple days later it was time to take Kellan home. Sammy was a great helper and would always help Sara and Grissom out with Kellan.

It was September and Sara's birthday was only a couple days away and Grissom wanted to do something special for her. He took Sam and Kellan to the mall so they could get some presents for Sara, but still there was something missing to make this birthday special.

Just as they were about to leave the mall he got an idea. Sara loves going to the beach he, he thought. He put the kids in the car and phoned the gang and told them to meet him at the beach tomorrow morning. They all agreed.

When they got home Grissom made the kids some lunch, hide Sara's presents and held Kellan as he guzzled his bottle.

An hour later Sara came home from food shopping. She put everything away and joined Gil and the kids on the couch. She took Kellan from Grissom and cuddled in to Grissom, Kellan snuggled into her neck and Sam lay across her father.

They watched a Disney movie and ended up all falling asleep 10 minutes into it.

Grissom was the first to wake up and saw it was time for dinner. He smiled as he saw his girls and Kellan sprawled across him. He thought to himself, how can I be so lucky.

He grabbed his phone and ordered a pizza for the family. He tried to untangle himself from his family without waking them but failed.

"Daddy" Sammy yawned.

"Yes baby girl."

" Cuddle." "I can't say no to my baby girl now can I" he said as he stood up.

Sammy smiled as her father picked her up and hugged her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and lay her head in his shoulder.

"I love you baby girl."

"I love you too daddy."

The door bell rang, Gil got some cash and paid the pizza guy. He woke Sara up and the three of them ate the pizza while Kellan lay on Sara's crossed legs still fast asleep.

That night the family all ended up in Sara's and Gil's bed.
