HATE ME NOW?
Its night time in Salem as EJ pours himself a night cap. He's about to take a sip when the doorbell rings. He puts his glass down and walks to the door to answer it. It's Aaron or as EJ knows him as Alex Santiago.
Aaron/Alex
"Hello EJ."
EJ
"Alex, it's pretty late. What can I do for you?"
Aaron/Alex
"I know, but I have great news."
EJ
"Ok, come on in."
Aaron walks in as EJ close the door.
Aaron/Alex
"This big mansion and you have to answer your own door?"
Aaron asks as they head into the living room.
EJ
"I gave Harold the night off."
Aaron/Alex
"Well isn't that nice."
EJ
"Yes, now what is this good news you have?"
Aaron/Alex
"I'm willing to do business with you and your father."
EJ
"That's excellent news. I'm sure Victor Kiriakis didn't take it well."
Aaron/Alex
"Nope. Not at all, but let's not worry about him. Let's talk business."
EJ
"Tomorrow. I'll call you with the time."
Aaron/Alex
"I just have one thing to discuss with you before I go."
EJ
"What's that?"
Aaron/Alex
"The contract. I wonder if you were able to read it over and sign it."
EJ
"Oh yes. My father and I looked it over and signed it."
Aaron/Alex
"Cool, could you go get it."
EJ
"Sure."
EJ smirks as he walks over to the desk to get the contract from his desk drawer. Meanwhile, Nicole walks down the stairs and into the living room. She sees Aaron standing there.
Nicole
"You again."
She says in dismay. EJ and Aaron turn to look at her.
Aaron/Alex
"Mist…I mean Nicole."
EJ
"You two know each?"
Nicole
"I don't know him, but he seems to know me."
Aaron/Alex
"Yeah we know each other from a long time ago, but that was a long time ago."
EJ
"You started to call her Misty."
Aaron/Alex
"Yeah that's how I know her."
EJ stares at Aaron. Aaron stares back.
EJ
"I think it's time for you to leave Mr. Santiago."
Aaron/Alex
"Ok I will as soon as you hand over the contract."
EJ looks at the contract in his hand. He then places it on the table.
EJ
"Not tonight. Good night Mr. Santiago."
Aaron/Alex looks over at Nicole then back at EJ.
Aaron/Alex
"Fine, we'll talk in the morning."
EJ
"I'll call you. Don't just drop by."
Aaron/Alex
"I won't."
Aaron turns to walk away then stops to talk to Nicole.
Aaron/Alex
"I hope we can catch up."
EJ
"Leave now."
EJ yells. Aaron looks at EJ then back at Nicole before leaving. EJ walks up to Nicole and hugs her.
EJ
"Are you ok?"
He asks. They stop hugging.
Nicole
"Fine. I just don't know that guy, but he really creeps me out."
EJ
"Don't worry, you won't have to see him again."
EJ pulls Nicole into another hug.
EJ
"Why don't you take a warm bath and I'll be up in a little bit."
Nicole
"That sounds amazing."
EJ gives Nicole a kiss before she heads upstairs. EJ waits until he can't see her anymore then makes a phone call. He demands the person on the other line to find out everything they can find on Alex Santiago especially his connection to Misty Circles. Across town, Mia and Will are having dinner at The Brady Pub. They're laughing and having a good time. Until they're interrupted by Mia's phone ringing. She looks at ID then hits ignore. Will is suspicious.
Will
"Who's that?"
Mia
"Nobody"
Will
"It was obviously somebody. Your phone doesn't just call itself. Plus you've been ignoring your phone a lot."
Mia
"Fine, it was my dad."
Will
"Why are you ignoring your dad?"
Mia
"Because he's annoying. I have nothing to say to him."
Will
"Ok."
Will says confusedly as he takes a sip of his milkshake. Aaron enters The Pub and notices Will and Mia dining. He walks over to them.
Aaron
"Hello."
He said. Will and Mia look at him.
Will
"Hello?"
Mia
"What the hell do you want?"
Aaron
"Well you weren't answering your phone calls so I thought I come by to see you."
Mia
"When someone doesn't answer your calls it means that they don't want to talk to you. It doesn't mean you should go and track them down. I don't even know how you got my number."
Aaron
"Well I'm your father so I can do whatever I want. Now get up and follow me outside so that we can talk."
Mia
"I'm in the middle of a date if you can see."
Aaron looks at Will then at Mia.
Aaron
"He can wait."
Mia rolls her eyes.
Aaron
"Come on, let's go."
Mia stands up and heads for the door with Aaron close behind her. They walk outside. Mia turns around in disgust.
Mia
"So what the hell do you want?"
Aaron
"That's now how you talk to your father."
Mia
"I don't care."
Aaron
"Anyways, I want to talk to you about your mom."
Mia
"She's dead who cares?"
Aaron
"About that…"
Aaron stops, but is interrupted by Will.
Will
"Sorry to interrupt..."
Mia
"You're not interrupting anything."
Will
"Ok. Well I have to head home. My mom wants me to watch the twins and Sydney."
Mia
"I'll help."
Will
"I don't…"
Will starts, but Mia grabs his hand as they walk away. Aaron tries to stop them, but with no avail. He huffs. Suddenly, he's grabbed by two guys from behind. He struggles to get away, but another man puts a bag over his head. They drag him to a van that is waiting for them. They climb inside then the van drives off. The van drives for a while before it arrives in a back alley next to the pier. The driver gets out and walks around to the back where he opens the door. The 3 men toss Aaron out of the van. The driver takes off his mask. It's EJ!
EJ
"That's not very nice."
He chuckles. The 3 men jump out of the back.
EJ
"Stand him up."
EJ orders. The men stand him up. EJ then orders them to throw Aaron on the ground and kick him. The three men take turns kicking Aaron till EJ tells them to stop. Aaron gasps for air. EJ kneels down next to him.
EJ
"My father was so interested in sticking it to Victor Kiriakis he didn't do any checking on you, but I did…Aaron McCormick. Former undercover cop for the FBI assigned to bring down a porn ring, but you threw it all away because of Misty Circle."
EJ stands up and kicks Aaron.
EJ
"You became obsessed with her."
EJ kicks him again.
EJ
"She wanted you to leave her alone, but no you couldn't"
EJ kicks him again.
EJ
"And when she tried to get away from you, you decided to go after her. Causing her to crash and she went into a coma for 3 months. Killing her baby."
EJ kicks him again.
EJ
"If you haven't figured it out yet."
EJ pulls out his gun and attaches the silencer.
EJ
"Our contract has been terminated."
EJ points the gun at Aaron then pulls the trigger hitting him in the stomach. He watches Aaron as he begins to bleed out. Aaron starts laughing. EJ is puzzled.
EJ
"What's so funny?"
Aaron
"You…you don't know the whole story."
EJ
"I missed something?"
Aaron
"Yeah it's about the baby."
EJ freezes.
EJ
"What about the baby?"
Aaron
"She's alive. Our Mia is still alive."
Aaron says before he passes on.
EJ's shocked at Aaron's confession. He leans against the wall then slides down. He puts his hands in his head.
