They arrived at the park 15 minutes later. Grissom got Samantha out the car and got the pram while Sara got Kellan. She placed him in the pram and the family walked towards the play park, Samantha holding Sara's hand while Grissom pushed the pram.
They got to the park and saw the team sitting at a picnic bench, food and drink on the table, birthday balloons and banners around them and a cake in the middle of the table.
They arrived at the table, the team hugged the family, wishing Sara a happy birthday. Grissom laid a blanket on the grass and laid Kellan on it with a couple of his toys. Samantha ran over to play in the park and the rest on them sat on the bench, Greg, Nick and Catherine on one side and Jim, Warwick and Grissom on the other side Sara sat on Grissom's knee, his arms wrapped around her.
They sat and talked, catching up with each other. Sara shouted Samantha over when they were all ready to eat. Sara grabbed a paper plate and put some food on it for Sammy and placed it next to her on the blanket. She grabbed a bottle of juice and gave it to Sammy and grabbed another bottle with milk. She sat on the blanket next to Sammy and fed Kellan.
Grissom looked over at his family and smiled, thinking about how lucky he is.
The rest of the team ate, Grissom brought a plate of food over to Sara.
"Thanks honey" she said smiling up at him.
He kissed her and sat next to her, taking Kellan from her so she could eat. Kellan finished his bottle and let out a huge burp. The two parents laughed at him while he closed his eyes, falling asleep.
The hours flew by, Sammy being entertained by her uncles, Catherine and Jim holding Kellan and chatting to Sara and Grissom, Sara opening her presents from the team and ended with the two Grissom kids falling asleep next to each other on the blanket.
Sara took a quick photo of them, before saying "I think it's time we go home, they need their beds."
Grissom nodded, they said goodbye to the others thanking them for a lovely day. They grabbed their things and their children before heading off to the car and making their way home.
They arrived home, unpacking the car and putting the kids to bed. They locked up the house and went to bed.
"Thank you for today" Sara said while the two lay in bed her head on his chest, his arm wrapped around her and her hand holding his.
He kissed the top of her head "anything for you honey. I love you."
"I love you too" Sara said as she fell asleep, Grissom right behind her.
