Truth be told

"Peter?" Valetina looked up at the American. Her hands were covered in the blood of Sherlock's victims. "You shouldn't be here."

"Well I came anyway. And I can see you needed my help. Val step away from the child."

"No!" The assassin said stubbornly. The American smiled and moved to her and grabbed her elbow. He forced the dark haired woman to stand and move away. The English lady was covered in blood. Someone must have heard the gun-shots and called the police because soon after Val had removed herself from the corpse Scotland yard had arrived.

Lestrade took one look at the body then at Sherlock who was still holding the gun. The inspector hit this forehead in frustration. He asked Sherlock to come down to the station which the sociopath wasn't happy about but he had too otherwise he would be arrested.

"Sherlock you killed a child. You are going to be the most hated man in England. Why did you do it?"

"She attacked me what else was I supposed to so?"

"I don't know maybe not shoot her." Lestrade barked. "And I thought the assassin was cold at least she didn't try to kill an innocent child."

"Yeah, whatever Gary, whatever floats your boat."

"For the millionth time my name is Greg. I don't care, I've only got 20 more years to retirement."

"Well could I at least examine the body?"

"It's not protocol." Greg exclaimed, if he had a penny for every time he heard Sherlock ask this question he'd be rich.

"Inspector perhaps you could stop for a few moments Miss Swansea is asking for you in the next room." A young officer mentioned.

Lestrade cursed, "Fine Sherlock you have an hour, you do not leave. understood," and walked out of the interview room. Before he walked in on Val he looked through the mirror. The assassin was still covered in blood. Beside her sat the CIA agent Greenwood.

Lestrade had been suspicious of the agent up until Peter had shown him his American agency badge. Peter was comforting the spy and stroking her blood tried hair. Lestrade barged into the room, unhappy that he was taken out of his interview with the detective. "Okay what's so important that you had to drag me here?"

"I want to know the girls name. And I need you to send this to Mycroft or Buckingham palace." The young woman pushed the giant ruby necklace towards the police officer.

"Why would you trust me with this?" He picked up the jewel and balanced it in his hand.

"Sherlock seems to trust you and that's good enough for me. What is the girl's name?"

"The dead child? We looked through the report. We believe she is Belle Hunter. An Irish orphan. Sweet kid until her orphanage went bust and she was forced on to the streets. She disappeared until today."

"Her death was painless right?" It was Peter who asked this time.

"We don't know." Lestrade replied then glanced through the window in the door. John and Mary were waiting there. "Is that all you wished to talk about because some friends have come to see you." Grey Lestrade smiled and opened the door.

The doctor and his wife rushed in cradling Delphine. "We heard what Sherlock did and I can't believe it." Mary said.

"I can." Peter muttered.

"Shut up." Valentina snapped. "Sherlock did kill the girl but she did attack him, though that isn't an excuse. To be honest I don't think he will be forgiven by the judge this time."

"Mycroft will get him out of this mess like he always does." Peter Greenwood told them.

"This is my partner Peter Greenwood of the CIA." Valentina introduced her friend to the Watson's.

Whilst this group chatted about Sherlock, this named person was in the morgue inspecting the child's corpse.

"Molly could I have a scalpel?" The girl passed him his equipment.

"I saw the girl you came in with. I've see her on the news, Valentina Swansea, right. Why would you help her?" Molly thought for a moment. Is she your girlfriend?"

"She is my client and I am her detective. She wants to know whose trying to kill her and so far no-such look."

Whilst Holmes examined the body John had arrived and was now standing behind the detective.

On hearing his approach Sherlock turned to him. "Hello John. You look annoyed perhaps it was me saying Val wasn't my girl. Well she isn't"

The detective returned to his work. John glared at Sherlock. "Rubbish. You love her now, is she your wife? Girlfriend? You clearly care for her."

Ignoring the body, he turned to the war hero. Sherlock laughed bitterly. "I do care for her, but not in that way."

"Then who is she?"

"For the love of God...She's my sister. Isadora Scarlet May Holmes. My dear little sister who I destroyed all those years ago."
