Today is suppose to be my first day back at school. Well, we got cancelled. I live in the Northern part of the US, and right now, we're having the worse snow storm to hit this area for the first time in 20 years. The last time it snowed this badly, my parents were teenagers.
It's weird to think about.
And apparently, tumblr day is going to be on March 3rd. Do you know what day that is? I do.
Guys I'm so sorry the chapter wasn't up at its usual time. The site wouldn't let me use the Manage Stories tab at all. It kept saying system failure.
"Sorry….." Lovino mumbled when Antonio pulled the car into the driveway and parked it. "For ruining everything…."
The Spaniard reached out and took Lovino's hand, soothingly rubbing the back of it with his thumb. "You didn't ruin anything, querido," he said gently. "I promise you didn't. I had a lot of fun. Thank you for letting me take you on a date even though you didn't want to go."
Lovino nodded and looked down at Antonio's hand. "….. Maybe I had I little fun too… I guess…."
Antonio smiled. "That's good. I wanted you to have fun, Lovi."
"… Give me my damn keys back, bastard."
Turning off the car and taking the key from the ignition, the vampire handed the key-chain to his boyfriend. He then opened the door and stepped from the car into the chilly air. He quickly shut the door and ran around the car, opening Lovino's door before the Italian could do it himself.
Lovino frowned and glared up at the vampire. Then he slowly said, "Do I LOOK like a damn girl to you, bastard….?"
Antonio smiled and helped the werewolf stand. "No. You're much cuter than any girl could ever hope to be~."
Lovino's face instantly turned red as he sputtered, "P-Perverted bastard!"
"I am not! I'm just saying your beautiful, mi amor," Antonio cooed, hugging Lovino to his chest.
"D-Doesn't mean you're not perverted, dammit! A-And get the hell off me!"
"But I like hugging you, querido~!" the Spanish vampire said, cuddling the Italian. "You're just so cute~! I absolutely adore you, mi tomate~. We have to go on another date soon. Maybe dinner next time~! That would be fun, don't you think?" he asked, looking down at the wolf.
"M-Maybe, dammit…. But I'm going to drain your fucking wallet. So look forward to that, bastard."
"I will~!"
"Bastard…"
"Te amo," the Spaniard said, lightly kissing the tip of Lovino's nose.
"T-Ti amo…"
Antonio smiled brightly. "Tomorrow is Thursday right? How about I take you out again Friday?"
Lovino blushed a little as he stuttered, "I-I guess, bastard….."
"It's a date then~." Antonio leaned forward and stole one more soft kiss. "I'll see you tomorrow, my love."
"I-It's not a damn d-da-date!"
"Date~."
"N-No it's not!"
"Si~."
"N-NO!"
"Si~."
"H-Hell no! A-And stai zitto bastardo!"
"It's a date~! See you at school~!" Antonio chirped, running off before Lovino could answer.
The next morning, Feliciano woke before anyone else in the house, before even their grandfather, and went down stairs, still in his rarely worn pajamas. He went into the back yard to sit and watch the sun rise. It was quite early, five o'clock. The sun had yet to show. The Italian positioned himself to where he would see it and began to think about yesterday and if Ludwig had been weirded out by the strange things he had said the day before.
"Feliciano-kun…..? Is… something wrong….?"
Feliciano nearly jumped out of this skin. He whipped his head towards the forest, spotting his Japanese friend. "K-Kiku! You scared me!" he said, putting a hand over his pounding heart.
"I'm sorry," Kiku replied with a small bow then adjusted the basket on his arm. "Your grandfather was kind enough to let me look through your woods for herbs Yao might need. Then I happened to see you there. What are you doing up so early? Is something wrong?"
Feliciano bit his lip. "Not really wrong... I'm just worried about how Luddy will feel about something I couldn't help but tell him yesterday... I don't even know why I told him, it just... slipped out..."
Kiku raised an eyebrow. "What did you tell him?"
"First, I asked him what kind of parent he thought I would be. He said the best. And then, I kinda told him I wanted to be a mama at some point..." Feliciano said, leaning back on his hands and staring up at the lightening sky.
"I see…. What did Ludwig-san do?"
"He just seemed... confused... So I said I wanted to have a bambino, and he turned all red and started stuttering... But when I said never mind and tried to leave, he thought something was wrong... He asked if I was feeling sick... I said yeah and went upstairs. When I came out a few hours later, he was gone."
Kiku couldn't stop the small chuckle that escaped his lips, "Oh my…" He said then calmed himself down enough to say, "None of it was your fault, Feliciano-kun. You do not have to worry about it."
"Really? You think so?" Feliciano asked hopefully.
Kiku nodded. "And I think that if you talk to Gilbert-kun about this, he should be able to help you."
"Talk to Gil? What do you think he can do to help me?" the werewolf asked curiously.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll know soon enough Feliciano-kun."
For the first time since running away from his boyfriend the other day, Feliciano smiled. "Veh~. You're such a good friend, Kiku~. Grazie mille~."
Kiku gave a soft smile back. "You're welcome. You better go hurry up and talk to Gilbert-kun before you forget."
"Va bene~. See you at school~!" Feliciano chirped, bouncing up and running off to find the albino vampire.
"Hai, and good luck!"
"Gilbert~! Gilbert~!" Feliciano cooed gently, poking the vampire's cheek. "Gilbert~! Wake up, wake up~!"
The German boy grumbled and swatted lightly at the werewolf's hand, his crimson eyes opening sleepily. However, once he spotted the smiling Italian, he jerked back, slamming into his headboard.
"What the hell, Feli!? Why are you in my room!? How did you even get in here without anyone waking up!?" He demanded softly, not wanting to wake anyone else.
"Veh, veh~! Kiku told me to come talk to you! I need help!" Feliciano stated, ignoring Gilbert's questions.
Sighing, Gilbert nodded. "What do you need? Why can't you ask West?"
"It involves Luddy~! See, I told him I wanted a bambino!"
Gilbert nearly fell out of his bed in surprise. "You told him you wanted a baby!?"
"Si~! I told him I wanna be a mama~! But now I'm worried that I shouldn't have told him that and that maybe I creeped him out. I need you to help me tell him sorry! I don't know what to say! And I don't want him to be awkward around me!" Feliciano begged.
"He's going to be awkward regardless. That's just how West is," Gilbert said, cackling softly.
"Giiiiiiiil! I'm serious!" the Italian whined.
"Ja, ja. Don't worry, Feli. I'll talk to West. Now you go home and get ready for school. We'll see you there, okay?" the albino vampire said, ruffling Feliciano's hair.
"Si~! Ciao, Gil~! See you guys soon~!" Feliciano chirped, jumping up from the end of the bed and running out the door of the apartment.
Gilbert sighed and flopped back down onto his bed. "Now... What to say to West..."
"Where the hell were you….?" Lovino demanded as soon as Feliciano walked in through the front door.
"Veh, I was outside, then I was outside some more, then I was inside, then I was outside again, and then I came in here~!" Feliciano said cheerfully. "Good morning, fratello~! It's lovely outside today~!" After hugging his brother tightly, the Italian bounced upstairs to his room.
"What the hell was that…..?" Lovino asked himself out loud as he rubbed his forehead.
"You wanted to talk to me, Gilbert?" Ludwig asked as he walked up to his brother.
"So from what I hear, Feli wants to be a mutti, huh?" the elder boy said, smirking. "You going to be the father of this child, West, or what?"
"W-What?! N-Nein! I-It's a CAT he's talking about! His new pet!"
"Are you really sure? From what I've heard, I'm pretty sure he meant a person. Not an animal."
Ludwig nodded. "Ja….. He was talking about Gino….."
"How do you know he meant Gino? Did he say that? Why would he be worried about creeping you out by asking you to be his cat's vater? I think he meant a real person, Ludwig."
"W-Well it's impossible then! You know that!"
"I do. But I think you need to talk to Feliciano about it. He's the one who wants the säugling." (Baby)
"I tried to…." Ludwig insisted. "But he ran off before I could!"
"What do you mean by 'tried'?"
"I asked him what he meant and then he ran off!"
"How did you ask him? Did you say it forcefully? Maybe you scared him off."
"Well…. I'll admit it took me by surprise… and I was confused…."
"Confused how?"
"Well I…." Then Ludwig sighed, "I don't know…. At all….."
Gilbert smiled. "You better figure it out quick. I have a feeling you two are going to talk about it today. And he's going to be very serious about this subject, so you better be to. And try not to be intimidating. It's un-awesome to be intimidated when your trying to talk to someone."
Ludwig paused and processed the words, then he finally asked, "…. Fine… What do you suggest I do….?"
"Just be awesome! Like your big bruder! Kesese!"
"I was looking for ACTUAL advice Gilbert….." Ludwig said and facepalmed.
"That was actual advice! Awesome advice! That's how I got mein Mattie! I just kept being awesome!"
Ludwig could only sigh in response.
Back at the Vargas' home, it was nearly time for the twins to leave. Feliciano came down the steps, his backpack bouncing with his movements as he skipped along.
"What's that damn look for….?" Lovino asked as he walked over.
Feliciano smiled brightly. "It's nothing~! I'm just really really happy~."
"…. Whatever dammit…."
"Let's hurry to school, si~?" the younger twin suggested eagerly.
"Any damn reason why….?" Lovino asked skeptically.
"Because it's a school day, silly~!" Feliciano said, giggling.
"I MEANT why the hell do you seem so damn happy to go!"
"I'm just in a really good mood today~."
"Ugh…. Whatever…. Just hurry up and move, dammit."
"Okay~!"
"... Dumbass…."
Feliciano giggled and pranced outside.
"… So now what….?"
Gio, who had been crossing the hall behind Lovino, mewed up at him.
Lovino sighed then looked down at him, "What the hell do you want, Gio? I already fed you dammit."
Gio huffed in irritation and meowed again, this time louder.
"You KNOW I don't speak cat, you bastard!"
Gio hissed and ran to the door, looking out at Feliciano then back to Lovino.
Lovino looked around then asked, "You… You can't find Gino….?"
Gio whined softly, his ears flattening as he looked up at Lovino with concern shinning in his eyes.
Lovino rubbed the back of his head as he glanced over at his own twin. "Hey! Feliciano! Where the hell's Gino?"
Feliciano, who had been doing some kind of spin-dance thing in the driveway, froze then slowly turned to face his brother his eyes blazing. "Mio bambino is missing...?" Without waiting for a reply, he shot back into the house, blowing past his brother. "DON'T WORRY, BABY! MAMA'S COMING!"
Lovino rolled his eyes as he picked Gio up and started petting him. "Don't worry…. That dumbass will find him soon."
The kitten whimpered and laid his head down on Lovino's arm sadly.
Lovino continued petting the kitten as he went back into the house to search for Gino too.
The two could hear Feliciano crashing through the upstairs rooms, hunting for his tiny pet.
"…. You know what…? Never mind, dammit. I'm sneaking you into school with me. Like hell I'm leaving you around this," Lovino said then took the kitten to his car and drove off.
At the school, Antonio was waiting out front in the yard for the Italian's, Ludwig a few feet away, a strange look on his face. Gilbert had disappeared shortly after arriving at the school, talking to the air, while Francis had wandered off to flirt. "Hey amigo," the Spaniard said. "Are you feeling alright?"
"Feliciano's late…. He's always here by this time…." Ludwig answered as he watched the parking lot. "I just saw Lovino pull in but there's no sign of Feliciano at all…."
"Maybe Lovi knows where he is~! Let's go ask~!" Antonio suggested, starting towards the Italian's car.
"Ja…. Maybe…." Ludwig muttered as he followed after the other vampire.
"Buenos días, querido~!" Antonio called in greeting as he opened the driver's door for Lovino.
Lovino didn't notice quite yet due to arguing with his bag. "Dammit, you little bastard! Stop that!"
Antonio blinked. "Uh... Tomate...? What's wrong?"
Lovino jumped and quickly tried to hide the bag. "N-Nothing, bastard!"
"Why were you talking to your bag?" the vampire asked.
"I-I'm not, dammit!" Lovino stuttered just as the bag let out a loud meow.
"... Lovi, did you bring Gio to school with you?" Before the Italian could deny this, the kitten poked his head from the bag, mewing at the two vampires.
"A-Agh! Dammit, Gio! Get your head back in there!" Lovino sputtered as he gently tried to push the kitten back into it.
Gio only mewed and licked Lovino's hand, sticking his head out further as he sat up straight.
"Lovi, why did you bring Gio?" Antonio asked, gently scratching under the kitten's chin. Gio purred softly at this.
"Because Feli's currently going crazy and ripping the whole damn house apparent looking for Gino."
"W-WHAT?!" Ludwig exclaimed and ran off away from the school.
"Oh. Well, that's a good reason," Antonio said as Gio finally disappeared back into the bag.
"It was scary as hell to hear," Lovino muttered then glared at Antonio. "But Gio is NOT here right now… You hear me, bastard?"
Antonio nodded.
"Good."
Finally, Ludwig reached the house and stood outside for a few moments to see what he would hear from inside.
No noise came from the house. It was completely silent.
Bracing himself, Ludwig slowly opened the door then walked inside. "Feliciano….? Are you in here….?"
The house was a wreck. Every piece of furniture had been either smashed to pieces or flipped over. The pictures on the walls hung crooked or lay on the ground, the glass cracked. The curtains had been ripped down, the fabric torn and some covered in plaster dust from where bits of wall had been yanked out. Carefully, Ludwig moved into the living room. There, he found Feliciano.
The Italian was sitting on a mostly-in-tact cushion, cuddling Gino to his chest as the tiny kitten napped in his arms. Feliciano was humming a tune softly, rocking slowly from side to side, smiling happily as though he wasn't surrounded by destruction.
Ludwig swallowed then called over, "Feliciano….?"
The werewolf looked up and smiled brightly. "Luddy~!" he cooed happily. "Come sit next to me~!" He motioned with his head the the spot on his right, careful not to disturb the sleeping animal.
Staying right where he was, Ludwig asked, "Is…. everything alright…..?"
Feliciano tilted his head curiously. "Si. Why?"
"Er….. Your house….."
Feliciano giggled. "Oh that~! I did this because I couldn't find mi bambino~! He needed his mama so I went looking for him~!"
"So….. Um…. Where was he…..?"
"He had fallen in the couch. You know how there's room between the back on the couch and the things you put the cushions on? He got stuck in there," Feliciano said, looking back at the couch that he had ripped the shreds.
"O-Oh…. W-Well…. It's time for school now... And…. You're about to be late…."
"And?"
"You don't want to be in trouble do you?"
"Gino needs me. That's more important."
Ludwig sighed. "You NEED to come to school."
"I NEED to stay with Gino."
"Feliciano….."
The werewolf's eyes flashed dangerously. He growled lowly at the vampire, baring his slightly sharper than normal teeth at him.
"You NEED to go to school. I don't want you to get in trouble."
"YOU need to leave. NOW," the Italian hissed.
"Nein. I won't."
"Ludwig. Leave." Feliciano's eyes where glowing angrily, his teeth and nails sharpening further.
"I won't."
"Feliciano. Knock this shit off," a sudden, authoritative filled voice spoke up from behind Ludwig. "Get your ass to school. Right NOW."
Feliciano whimpered, his eyes filling with fright and he jumped to his feet, his teeth and nails shrinking back down. He set Gino down and and ran out the door, snatching his bag from the floor in the hall as he ran past his twin.
"You fucking OWE me for that, bastard," Lovino snapped then left back for school himself.
Feliciano ran the six miles to the school in less than two minutes. He burst through the door, slamming hard into someone as sending them both crashing to the ground.
"Oh~? What's this~?" a voice asked. Feliciano froze. Sadiq.
"Where you so excited for your blackmail time that you came to find me?" the Turk asked, smirking at the Italian in his lap. Feliciano shuttered.
"Blackmail? And what the bloody hell is all that about?"
"Arthur!" Feliciano cried, jumping up and hiding behind the British wizard, trembling slightly.
Sadiq smirked. "None of your business, Kirkland. If you don't mind, that cowering Italian and I have some of our own business to attend to."
Arthur crossed his arm and glared. "Well if you stop acting like a spoiled brat and actually listen to me, I could help you."
"Help me?" Sadiq asked. "How could you help me?"
Arthur rolled his eyes as he pulled out a small vial and held it up for Sadiq to see. "I happen to know what… they… are. And if you don't tread carefully, you'll end up bit either way. This potion will keep you from turning into one of them. If you want it of course."
"A-Arthur," Feliciano whimpered. "W-What are you doing...?"
The Turk took the vial and examined it suspiciously. "How do I know you aren't lying?"
"You don't." Arthur retorted coolly, ignoring Feliciano. "But I'll have you know I made it for myself. I personally prefer to stay human. But you can go ahead and let them do whatever they please to you. Who knows, maybe someone might accidentally shoot you with a silver bullet then."
Sadiq huffed in irritation, then he popped the cork out and drank the potion.
Arthur smirked broadly and said, "Now…. Go find every single piece of evidence you have on those two and burn it so there's no trace of it left."
Sadiq smiled lazily and nodded. "Sure~." The masked teen agreed, then he turned and walked off.
"A-Arthur...? What did you do...?" Feliciano asked, slowly moving out from behind the British boy.
"Personally making sure that wanker doesn't bother anyone ever again." Then he glanced back at Feliciano. "But sorry for scaring you. I had to make myself seem believable to him."
The Italian smiled. "Veh~. Grazie mille, Arthur~. I'm glad you're my friend now~!" Feliciano said happily, throwing his arms around the wizard and crushing him in a hug.
"W-What?! Get off me!" Arthur sputtered and tried to pry Feliciano off of him.
"….. The hell's going on here….?" Lovino asked as he came around the corner and his bag let out a loud meow.
"Veh~!" Feliciano cooed, nuzzling his head under Arthur's chin.
Lovino rolled his eyes in annoyance as he stalked over and yanked Feliciano off the British boy.
"Aww..." Feliciano whined.
Lovino went to yell at his twin but was cut off as the bag let out another meow.
The younger boy blinked. "Gio?"
Lovino froze and quickly shook his head. "N-No! Y-You're hearing shit, dammit!"
"But I can smell him... Is he is your bag, fratello?" Feliciano asked, shifting closer to his brother.
Lovino backed away and held the bag close. "H-He slept on it this morning. T-THAT'S why you smell him!
"Then why won't you let me see?" Feliciano's eyes were locked curiously on the bag.
"Because it's MY damn bag, dumbass! And you're nosy as hell!"
A loud meow erupted from the bag and Feliciano smiled. "Gio~. Come out, come out~!" he called softly.
Suddenly, Gio's head popped from the bag.
"Veh~! I was right~!" Feliciano cheered.
"D-Dammit, Gio!" Lovino sputtered then gently started trying to force the kitten back into the bag. "Get back in there, you little cat bastard!"
Gio whined softly and squirmed. "Veh, fratello, I don't think he can breath very well in there. Try leaving it open a little and I'm sure he'll be quite for you," Feliciano suggested.
"I HAD the damn thing open…" Lovino muttered but unzipped the bag a bit more.
The kitten lightly licked Lovino's fingers, then settled down into the bag silently. Feliciano smiled. "Aww~. So cute~." Sadiq suddenly ran past them down the hall, yelling something about an orange dragon wanting to teach him how to tap-dance and that a dog had told him where to find Atlantis.
The trio was quiet for a moment before exchanging glances and bursting into laughter.
"W-What the HELL was that…?" Lovino tried to get out as he continued laughing.
Feliciano was laughing to hard to answer and motioned to Arthur to explain.
"The rest of us found out what the wanker was doing to you both," Arthur answered in between laughs. "So we decided to give him a taste of his own medicine."
Finally starting to calm down, the boys went off towards their first classes, saying good bye to each other, a few giggles and chuckles still escaping them every now and then.
"Guess the other bastards DID find out….." Lovino casually said as he continued to check his bag to make sure Gio wouldn't randomly pop out again.
The kitten poked at his side from inside the bag with his paw.
Lovino frowned and grumbled, "You're going to get us BOTH in trouble, you little bastard."
Gio mewed softly. There was a slight shifting as the kitten curled up and went to sleep.
Rolling his eyes, Lovino said, "Come on, dumbass. Let's get to class."
Feliciano sat down at his seat and smiled brightly to everyone. 'This will be a great day~!' he though. 'It's almost time fore winter break, Sadiq will leave me alone, and I get to see Luddy~! Yay~!'
"…..? What's that damn look for….?"
Feliciano nearly fell out his chair in surprise. "Fratello!? Why are you in my class!? We don't have the same first period!"
Lovino rolled his eyes as he held up a textbook. "You put your damn book in my bag instead. I came here to get mine, so hand it over."
"Oh~! Va bene~!" Feliciano chirped, pulling the book from his own bag. "Grazie mille, fratellone~!" He took his textbook and handed Lovino his.
Lovino put his book under his arm as he asked, "How the hell did you get our bags mixed up anyway? They look nothing alike!"
"I just grabbed the first one I saw! I didn't stop to look at it," Feliciano answered, plopping the book down on the desk top. "Thank you for bringing my book to me~! Fratello is is the bestest fratello in the world~!"
"Yeah, yeah. Don't do it again, dumbass," Lovino said with a wave then walked out of the room.
"Veh~. Fratello is wonderful~!" Feliciano cooed to himself.
"Feliciano…..? What are you talking about….?"
This time, the little Italian did fall out of his seat in surprise with a loud squeal, having not noticed Ludwig approach him. "Luddy~!" he chirped, smiling brightly as he lay on his back, one leg up on his chair and the other tangled in the chair's legs. "You scared me~. Help me up?"
Ludwig quickly helped the Italian up as he asked, "Er... Sorry….? Is something wrong….?"
"Nope~! Luddy just startled me~!" Feliciano giggled, tilting his head to the side as he smiled up at the vampire.
"Ah… I see…." Ludwig said as he sat down in his seat. "You seem to be in a better mood."
"Lovi brought me my book~! I accidentally grabbed his instead~. He's such a nice fratello~. And Arthur is such a nice friend~! He took care of Sadiq for us~!" A sudden though occurred to the Italian. "Hey, Luddy," he said. "You remember all that time ago when Arthur turned you and Toni into little adorable kids? Why did he do that? What did you do that upset him?"
Ludwig sighed and rubbed his head. "It was Antonio who did… The two got in a fight about tomatoes or something like that….."
"Why was he mad at you to then?"
"I have no idea….."
"We can ask at lunch~! Ludwig, you know how those posters for the dance next Friday are up?" Feliciano asked suddenly, changing the subject.
Ludwig blinked and nodded, "Ja… I helped to put some of them up… Why...?"
Feliciano giggled. "Will you take me?"
Ludwig froze and blushed, then slowly nodded. "J-Ja…. I will….."
"Yay~!" Feliciano hugged the vampire tightly, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Grazie, Luddy~! Grazie grazie~!"
"F-Feliciano! We're still in class! S-Sit down!"
"Veh? But, those two are making out. All I did was kiss your cheek," Feliciano said in confusion, pointing to a boy and girl in the corner. "Why can they do that in class but I can't?"
"B-Because…. It's not proper! W-We're supposed to be here to learn so we can get jobs in the future! T-They… They're just making a scene is all!"
Feliciano watched the pair silently for a moment before speaking slowly as he turned back to the German boy. "So... Ludwig doesn't like to kiss me? All it is is making a scene?" he asked, his voice soft and full of hurt.
"A-Ah! N-Nein! I-I do! It's just…. T-There's certain places where you can and can't! Right in the middle of a classroom when class is about to start is a can't!"
"But why?" the werewolf asked, utterly confused.
"B-Because!"
"Then why can they?" Feliciano demanded, crossing his arms and pouting. "What's so special about them?"
"NOTHING. And I assure you that any second now our teacher is going to come in and make them stop."
Feliciano continued to pout, turning huffily away from his boyfriend.
Ludwig sighed and went to reply but before he could the teacher walked in, broke up the kissing couple, and started the lesson.
When the bell rang, Feliciano appeared to still be upset with Ludwig. He had grabbed his bag and practically run out of the room towards their next class, leaving Ludwig to walk by himself.
Ludwig sighed and followed behind him.
"OW! Watch it, dumbass!" Lovino complained when he was almost run over. "And dammit! You're going to make ME late now!"
"Whatever," Feliciano muttered, rolling his eyes as he breezed past his twin and into his next class, ignoring the incredulous look he was being given by his brother.
But the look changed as Lovino stalked up behind his twin and grabbed his shoulder. "WHAT the hell was that….?"
Feliciano yanked away from his brother, going to his seat and sitting down, slamming his things onto the desk with a loud thump. He put his head down and covered it with his arms, ignoring Lovino.
Lovino glanced around, then grabbed Feliciano's arm in a vice like grip and yanked him out of the chair.
The younger brother dropped to the ground heavily. "Ow!" he cried, rubbing his elbow. He had landed fully on it and it was a little numb now. He went to say something to his twin but before he could, the teacher came in. She told Lovino to go to class and Feliciano to sit down.
Grumbling, Feliciano sat back in his seat, shooting an annoyed look at his brother. 'Thanks a lot,' he mouthed before once more laying his head down and ignoring everyone.
Lovino shot Feliciano a look that said they would DEFINITELY talk later, whether Feliciano wanted to or not, then stalked out of the room.
At the end of second period, Feliciano once more ignored Ludwig and stormed out of the room, the other students so surprised by the Italian's change in mood that they instantly parted to allow him through. The werewolf went to Kiku's locker. The Japanese boy hadn't been there yet. He could tell because his scent wasn't as fresh as it would have been if he had. He decided to wait for the other by standing in front of the locker and slamming his forehead into the metal repeatedly, creating a loud banging noise with each hit.
Then, a hand reached and yanked Feliciano back. "NOW we'll talk, dumbass. Come on."
With a soft growl, Feliciano pulled away harshly. "I don't want to talk to you," he said bluntly.
"Well too fucking bad for you," Lovino retorted. "Now move it."
"Why can't you just leave me alone!?" Feliciano snapped.
"Because you're acting weird as hell and I'm WORRIED about you alright?!" Lovino snapped back before realizing what he said.
"What? I'm not allowed to be upset about something? I'm not allowed to have a bad day?" the younger boy demanded.
"Well YOU'RE always happy-go-lucky and shit! What the hell happened?!"
"I CAN HAVE A BAD DAY JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER FUCKING PERSON HERE!" Feliciano screamed, his eyes flashing with anger. He didn't want to talk to Lovino about his problem. One reason was because he was only partially sure he knew what was wrong, and the other being that if he said it was something with Ludwig, his twin would take it the wrong way and become infuriated at the German and he didn't want that. He just wanted Kiku to show up and help him.
Lovino's eyes flashed and he turned away. "Fine. I'm SO sorry for fucking bothering you." Then he stomped off down the hallway.
Feliciano sat down heavily on the floor, his back pressed against the cold metal of Kiku's locker. He pulled his knees up to his chin and rested his forehead against them, wrapping his arms around his legs.
"Feliciano-kun? Is something wrong?"
"Kiku..." Feliciano whimpered. He lifted his head, showing the Japanese boy his now tear stained face. His voice was thick with repressed sobs. "Help me..."
"With what….?" Kiku asked, concerned, as he knelt down next to Feliciano. "What happened?"
The Italian sniffed. "I'm stupid..." he whimpered.
Kiku blinked in surprise. "U-Um…. Excuse me...?"
"IO SONO STUPIDO!" he yelled, jerking forward and wrapping his arms around the Asian boy's waist, sobbing.
"F-Feliciano-kun! P-Please! You must tell me what happened…!"
Somehow the Italian managed to explain what had happened with both his lover and brother between his cries. "A-And now fratello hates me, a-and Luddy thinks I over reaaaaaact!" he wailed, pressing his face to Kiku's stomach and sobbing harder.
Kiku nodded as he rubbed the Italian's back. "I can go speak to Ludwig-san for you… But... I'm sorry… But…. You'll need to speak to Lovino-kun yourself."
The werewolf sniffed and whimpered softly, his sobs finally beginning to slow to a stop thanks to the comforting motion of the kitsune's hand on his back. "V-Va bene..." he managed, reached up to run his sleeve across his eyes and wipe away his tears.
Kiku nodded as he let go. "I'm sorry that I can't do more to help you."
Feliciano sat up and sniffed again. "I-I don't know what to do..."
"Just talk to him. Show him that you care."
"H-How...? F-Fratello won't w-want to listen to me..."
"Well…. You are still brothers after all. The best you can do is try."
"If you think it'll help..." Feliciano gave Kiku a watery, weak smile. "G-Grazie mille, Kiku. You're a good friend," he said softly, giving the Japaneses boy's hand a gentle squeeze before getting back onto his feet.
Kiku gave him a soft smile in return. "Thank you, Feliciano-kun. It means a lot to hear you say that." Then he paused before saying, "But... I believe I saw Lovino in the school courtyard last."
Feliciano took a deep breath and nodded. Promising to see his friend at lunch, he turned and started off, hoping his twin wasn't to angry with him.
Lovino happened to be out in the courtyard, studying one of his textbooks and trying to keep Gio in the bag.
Trembling and fidgeting nervously, Feliciano slowly walked over to stand in front of his brother. "L-Lovino?" he asked.
Although Lovino had smelled Feliciano coming, he still pretended like he hadn't noticed or even heard his twin at all as he kept reading.
"Fratello...?" Feliciano tried again, his voice shaking. 'He's still mad at me. I can tell. He hates me. Please don't hate me, Lovi. Please...' he thought.
Lovino shot him a gold eyed glare then went back to the book.
Slowly, Feliciano reached out and touched his twin's knee. "Lovi...?"
"Oh… Look who finally decided to start talking again."
Feliciano bit his lip. "... Are you... really, really mad at me...?" he whispered, scared of the answer.
Lovino scoffed and retorted, "You're one to talk. Just who was bitching at who before?"
"Fratello, I'm really sorry. I-I didn't mean to snap at you like that. Please don't be mad..." Feliciano said, kneeling down next to his twin.
"…. Not fucking mad, dammit…"
"C-Can I fix it? What I did...?"
"Already fucking said I'm not fucking mad, dammit….."
"What t-the problem then? Can I-I help at all?"
"You can help by going away."
"B-But, fratello, I j-just wanted to-"
Lovino sighed as he set the book down. "Fine…. You can stay, dammit…."
Feliciano sat back and stared at his hands, not knowing what to say.
"D-Don't… Don't look like that, dammit…."
The younger twin sniffed softly. "I didn't mean to yell at you..."
"… It's… It's fine….."
Feliciano was silent. He pulled his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. Suddenly, Gio popped out of Lovino's bag and went over to the werewolf, rubbing against his legs.
"!" Lovino reached out and went to pick up the kitten. "Gio! Get back in the damn bag before you get caught!"
The furry creature dodged his owner's hands and jumped up onto Feliciano's knees, startling the boy.
"Dammit, you little bastard!"
Feliciano stared at the cat. Gio stared back, then leaned forward and licked the werewolf's nose.
Lovino sighed and decided to keep watch instead.
"O-Oh. Gio, are you trying to cheer me up...?" Feliciano asked. Gio mewed. The Italian smiled softly. "Grazie." He hugged the kitten, petted him, then put him back into his twin's bag.
Lovino sighed again and gently picked up the bag and shouldered it.
Feliciano stood up. "So, should we go back in now, fratellone? It's lunch time," he said quietly.
Lovino nodded and started to head inside. "Si... Let's go, dammit."
Feliciano walked a few steps behind his brother, staring at the ground.
Lovino shot a quick glance back at his twin and mumbled, "I… I forgive you, dumbass…"
The younger boy's head shot up so fast, Lovino thought he would get whip lash.
"Y-You heard me, dammit…." Lovino stuttered and shifted around awkwardly. "D-Don't make me say it again…"
"..." Slowly, a large smile grew on Feliciano's face. "Veh~!" He jumped on his twin, wrapping his arms firmly around him in a tight hug.
Lovino yelped in surprise. "Agh! What the hell?!"
"Ti voglio bene, fratellone~!" Feliciano cooed, nuzzling his brother.
"S-Si…. Me too, dammit… N-Now let go before you crush Gio…."
Feliciano giggled and let go.
"W-What's so damn funny?!" Lovino sputtered.
"You~!" Feliciano cooed. Then, before Lovino could do more than splutter, he grabbed his twin's hand and ran to the cafeteria.
