"A/N: Hey guys! Sorry if this chapter is kind of shitty. I wanted to get something up before i went to bed, because i knew that i wouldn't have the same amount of motivation for writing tomorrow. So, long story short, i didn't really read over this one, i kind of just wrote and posted it, so i hope you guys enjoy! Please let me know what you think! oh yes and ****PLEASE READ THE A/N AT THE END OF THIS I HAVE TWO BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS!*****
"This is just too good." Tony beamed as he shook Robert Downey Jr.'s hand. "I'm even more handsome in person." He teased.
"You have no idea." Robert replied.
The two identical men stood right in front of each other, both scanning every inch of the person in front of them, trying to grasp the reality.
"So you're from a parallel universe you say?" Tony asked, moving to sit back down in his chair while RDJ did the same.
"Yup!' Robert answered, popping the p.
"What's it like there?" The billionaire inquired
"Ugh, boring. I mean, the people love me (of course), but there are no flying suits or alien invasions." Robert huffed.
"So what you're saying is that everyone lives in peace?" Tony asked with a teasing smile.
"For the most part I guess." Robert replied. "So, what's it like here? I mean I've seen what's happened in the movies, but how's regular life?" the actor asked.
"Eh, it's pretty good." Tony shrugged. That's when Robert got the most brilliant idea.
"Is pepper here?" He asked.
"She should be back any minute." Tony said, looking at the clock on the wall across from him.
"Perfect." Robert smiled.
Poor Pepper Potts entered Tony Stark's mansion through the massive front doors, a decaf coffee in hand. Her high heels clicked on the marble floors, altering the two look-alikes of her arrival.
"Hey Pepper." Pepper heard from the couch in the living room. He sat there, watching the news, his phone in hand.
"Hello!" Pepper replied cheerfully. What she failed to notice was that the person lounging on the couch was not in fact Tony Stark, the world famous billionaire, but Robert Downey Jr., the world famous millionaire.
Pepper turned and walked to the kitchen where the real Tony Stark stood behind one of the counters, sipping a cup of coffee.
"Hey Pepper," he said.
Pepper's eyes widened as she quickly turned around and walked back to the living room where RDJ still sat. Pepper stared at him and the actor gave the confused women a wave and a cheeky smile.
"h-how…" She started. She then turned around to peer into the kitchen where she saw her boyfriend still standing and smiling whilst sipping out of the white mug in his hands. She looked back and forth for a while before suddenly becoming very angry.
"Tony, what did you do?" She exclaimed at the man on the couch.
"Erm, actually, I'm not Tony." Robert said, standing up to walk to the confused Pepper.
"I am." Tony said from where he suddenly stood behind his girlfriend.
Pepper looked furiously back and forth between the two once again, trying to find a difference.
"Do you have a brother or something?" Pepper asked, almost hoping that that was the answer, and that Tony didn't do some freakish experiment on himself to make a clone.
"Nope" Tony replied, popping the p.
"Then would you like to explain your identical twin standing in front of me?" She asked
Tony sighed and motioned for Pepper to take a seat in the living room, where the three finally sat down to explain things.
"I was kind of hoping for a better reaction…" Tony mumbled.
"Tony." Pepper said in a warning voice.
"Like maybe if you fainted or something?" Tony suggested quietly which earned him a sharp glare from the redheaded woman.
"Okay, I know we owe you some explanations, but can you at least just try to guess which one of us is the real Tony?" Robert suggested. This could be difficult for Pepper, as Robert had changed out of his plastic iron man suit, and into a t shirt and jeans outfit that looked exactly like Tony's.
Pepper squinted and looked between the two men, then pointed a finger…. At the real Tony Stark.
"You." She simply stated.
"How did you know?" Tony shouted, surprised.
"You look too smug." She replied with a squint. She wouldn't ever tell Tony, but honestly, she only guessed, and was hoping for the best. "Now explain."
The whole situation was explained to Pepper, and surprisingly, she took things better than expected. Both Tony and Robert were expecting a long angry speech about Tony's irresponsibility, but Pepper just rolled her eyes, and only asked a few questions about herself in the alternate universe, which she thankfully got pleasant replies.
"Well, I think I should go!" "Robert" said quickly when Pepper finished her questions.
"So soon?" Pepper asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Yeah, well you know, things to do, people to see…" He trailed off.
"Yeah! And you know, we have that… thing we have to get to" "Tony" replied.
Pepper squinted here eyes at this suspicious behavior, but decided to let it slide, as the two were normally suspicious.
"Bye Pepper! I-…." "Robert" stopped himself from saying something he probably shouldn't, and ran up to give Pepper a tight hug.
"Um, bye! It was nice meeting you!" Pepper said politely.
The two identical men then ran down to Tony's workshop where the TARDIS stood.
"Oh man, this is the best prank ever!" the real Robert Downey Jr. said excitedly.
"Hell yeah!" Tony said, giggling to himself. "Wait, so 'my' kids' names are what again?" he asked.
"Exton, Indio, and Avri." Robert replied.
"Awesome!" Tony shouted. "Do you think we'll find a way back?" He then asked.
"Probably." Robert shrugged. "Oh, and if you forget anything about yourself, feel free to just Google." He suggested. "And also, if you're looking for your movies, they're on the bottom shelf of the movie cabinet in the TV room." He informed.
The two men began giggling at their "little" prank. For some reason, switching places was such a greatly amusing matter, that it forced them into fits of giggles.
"Well, good luck being Tony Stark." Tony said, sticking his hand out for the actor to shake.
"And good luck being Robert Downey Jr. " RDJ replied, smiling. He took the hand to shake it, but then promptly brought the billionaire into a tight hug.
The two smiled at each other before Tony got into the TARDIS, and vanished from sight.
Robert sighed and looked around the workshop.
"Time to be Iron Man."
A/N: So what did you guys think?! Sorry if it's not everything you expected. there are so many possibilities for these two characters, and it was impossible to pick just one idea. I know it seems short, but these two will get a little more light towards the end of the story;) So what did you guys think of them switching places? What's going to happen next?! Let me know!
