Why did Stoick have to tell me these right before I take off? How did he come to the decision so fast? How can I race at Worlds?

"Miss? Can you put your phone away. Thanks." A flight attendant asked.

This took me out of question land, "Sure." I responded to her.

Hiccup's POV

(Yes, I didn't have Hiccup died, but Astrid doesn't know. Or is he?)

"Dad don't you think this is to much? How is she going to react to this? OH GOD, is this to much? It is, I'm not ready for this. Why is it so hard?" Hiccup thought he said it to himself, but said it to his dad.

"Hiccup, stop freakin' out. She will love it. And it many be hard now, but it will be better later." Stoick said to make his son happier.

"Of course. You just know everything don't you?"

"Son, stop bein' an ass." Stoick said growing angrier with his son.

"Why did you lie to her for?"

"It was your idea."

"True. When have my ideas worked out?"

"That is true too Hiccup. But you always have to try."

After a awkward 5 minutes of silence. Hiccup finally spoken, "How is this going to work?"

"What do you mean by 'work'?" Stoick questioned his son.

"How am I going to tell her that I'm not dead and I just lied to you?"

"I don't know son. Can you do me a favor?"

"What is it dad?"

"Can you please wake up?"

"I'm awake. How could I wake up if I am..." Before I could finish there was this bright light.

I closed my eyes fast and reopen them to see my dad crying on my lap. This was weird, he never cries. Why now? "What's wrong dad?" I asked him, then realizing that I am in a hospital room. "Why am I at the hospital?"

My dad's face showed a sign of shock. I saw him blink a couple of times and rub his eyes. "Is that you Hiccup?"

"Yeah, who else were you expecting?"

"Oh my god, I can't believe this." Before I could ask him, he pulled me into a hug. Which confused me more.

"Dad your kind of hurting me."

"Sorry son, I just thought you were died. We were about to pull the plug."

"Why would you do that?" I just had to ask.

"The doctors said 'there is no point to continue'. So I had no choice."

Then I realized Astrid isn't here, "Where's Astrid at?"

"She had to go to Worlds with Gobber. Why?"

"When did they leave?"

"I think there in the air now. Why Hiccup?"

"I need to see her." I said while trying to get up, but get pushed back down by my dad.

"Oh no you don't."

"Dad you don't understand. I need to see her."

"Well I guess that has to wait then." Stoick going angrier with his son.

"Would you at least hand me my phone?"

"Sure, where is it?"

"It is in my jacket." I asked, as I saw my dad walk over to it.

Stoick picks up Hiccup's jacket from the chair. I was about to grab it when a small box fell out.

I forgot about the ring, I got for Astrid to show how much I cared for her, I thought.

"Hiccup. What is this?" Stoick asked while holding the box in his big hand.

"Ummmm... It's a gift I got for Astrid." I slowly said to my dad.

"You know this is a little to early to..." Before he could finish, I cut him off.

"DAD. It isn't that type of ring. I just wanted to give her a gift, before she went to Worlds." I quickly said.

"Am I interrupting anything?" My doctor asked.

"No, Doc what's up?" I asked him.

"Nothing, really. Just a busy day. How about you?" The Doc asked.

"Same, just been sleeping."

"Good. Well I came here with good and bad news. Which do you want to know first?" He asked.

"I guess the good news." I said in a weird tone.

"The good news is that you are coming back to normal and you may get to leave tomorrow." He said in a happy tone.

"That's good. How about the bad news?" I asked.

"The bad news is that I wouldn't see you anymore."

He must like me as a patient, I thought to myself.

"I guess this is a goodbye." My Doc said.

Before he could leave, I asked him his name and he said 'Ingerman'.

The Next Day

Hiccup's POV

This is the day I get to leave and go see Astrid. I want to see her so badly, in fact it was killing me just sitting here.

After 10 more minutes I am finally on my way home. Then I idea came across my mind. "Hey Dad can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Can we fly to..." Before I was finished, my dad had to cut me off.

"I knew you were going to ask that question. And I already have it planned out."

"What do you mean by 'planned out'?"

"We are flying on my jet and get there a couple hours before her race starts."

"When do we leave?" I said very happily.

"We leave in a couple of minutes."

Astrid my love I'm coming for you, I thought.

16 Hours Later

My Dad and I, have been on his jet for 16 hours and are about to land in Australia. I hope I haven't missed here race. I just want to be there to cheer here on.

X-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-X

Right when we landed I checked my phone to she if she text me (Stoick has been using Hiccup's phone). There is no text from her. Which got my hopes up that they didn't start yet.

Right before I put my phone away, it rang. It said, 'About to start race. Wish for me'. I am going to miss here race, I thought.

X-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-X

We get to the car rental place and they said, "We only have 4c coupe or a campervan."

I begged my dad to get the 4c coupe. Which he did, and that is how I got to go 250 km/hr (around 155 mi/hr) down the highway.

X-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-X

When we got to the race, they were about to finish. So I quickly ran for the finish line, to see Astrid finish.

I got there right at the moment she finished. Now is the time to think of something to say instead of, "Hey, I am not died and I lied to you".

I made up my mind, to just say hey to her. So I walked up to her while she was drinking her water and said, "Hey, nice race." That was really cheesy to say.

"Thanks..." She turned to look at me and turned her head. "Hiccup?"

"Yep that's my name."

"HICCUP." She said before she decided to...
