Chapter 27: Late Night Surprise

Normal POV

"Alright . . . we're on our way to Richmond and Alanna has finally fallen asleep after I have been trying to get her to for the past hour and a half," said Amanda as she walked into the room with a relieved look on her face, She closed the door behind her and turned to the Viper to see him sitting on their bed, completely lost in thought. ". . . Now we have the rest of the night to ourselves."

"Oh . . ." said Randy as he broke out of his thoughts to look at her. "That's . . . that's good to know. Thanks for telling me."

"Are. . . Are you okay?" asked Amanda as she walked over to sit next to him on the mattress. "You've been acting a little . . . spacey since the house show finished hours ago. Is there something bothering you?"

"Um . . . nothing is bothering me babe. . ." answered Randy as he let her wrap her arms around his tense shoulders. "I was just thinking about when Lesnar was coming to the bus to find me earlier . . . that's all."

"Oh . . . so you're still stuck on that huh?" asked Amanda as she kissed Randy's cheek. "The fact that Lesnar was coming to our bus to confront you, and therefore would be running into Alanna and me, still disturbs you . . . Is that it? Is that's what's bothering you?"

"Yep . . . that's, that's basically it . . ." said Randy as he let out a small breath. "Lesnar is a tough and freaky guy 'Manda, and knowing that he was this close to you and Alanna doesn't calm my nerves one bit. Actually, I don't like the idea of Lesnar being close to you two, period."

"From the angle he was standing at when he was walking toward the bus, he definitely saw me through the window, but thanks to the fact the bunk beds are located across the one area of the bus without windows, I doubt Brock saw Alanna," said Amanda as a contemplative look came across her face. "So technically, all you have to worry about is me."

"Yeah . . . all I have to do is worry about you and our unborn child . . ." said Randy as he put a hand on her belly. "That makes me so much better 'Manda."

"Okay . . . so mentioning that I was the only one you have to worry about didn't change anything . . ." said Amanda as she shrugged her shoulders. "But still . . . you can't let this get inside your head."

"I'm trying not to, but it's hard not to think about it," said Randy as he let out a small breath. "Lesnar does have an effect on people that just sticks to ya . . . he's big and destructive like you can't believe."

"And so are you," said Amanda as she pecked his cheek. "At 6'5, you're one of the tallest guys on the roster. And when it comes to the destructive part, well . . . you have caused your fair share of pain and destruction throughout your tenure with the WWE, babe."

"You got me there babe . . ." mumbled Randy as a sheepish look came across his face. ". . . I guess I just need something to keep my mind off of Lesnar, that's all."

"Alright . . . maybe a distraction will do some good for you . . ." said Amanda as she let Randy's shoulders go. "Maybe talking about something else will help keep your mind off of Lesnar."

"Why can't we just make out or something instead?" asked Randy as a sheepish look deepened. "It'll make for a better end to my night than just talking about a random topic."

"What's with men when it comes to talking?" mumbled Amanda as she shook her head. ". . . As soon as a girl mentions she wants to talk with a guy, the guy gets defensive and tries to talk out of it."

"Only the guilty ones do that babe . . ." said Randy as he began to take off his pants to reveal that he was still wearing his wrestling trunks from earlier in the day. "Only the guilty ones get defensive."

"So . . . you're guilty of something huh?" asked Amanda as she watched as Randy folded up his pants and put them off to the side.

"Yes . . . I'm guilty of loving you baby," said Randy as he pecked her lips. "And I just think making out will be a better end to our night than just talking about a random topic, that's all."

"Uh huh . . ." mumbled Amanda as she went over to her side of the mattress and grabbed her nightgown from off her pillow. She also grabbed her toothbrush before heading out the room for the bathroom, where she quickly changed clothes and brushed her teeth. Once she was done, she grabbed her discarded clothes and walked out the room to head back to the bedroom, stopping at the doorway when she saw the sight before her.

Randy, with his shirt already off, had his back turned to her as he slid his wrestling briefs off his body to reveal the man thong underneath. The black piece of clothing that was designed to protect his manhood, especially when he was competing in the ring, was then taken off his body in a similar fashion, leaving the Viper completely in the buff as he picked up a pair of blue boxers from off the bed.

"How long have you been watching me?" asked the Viper, not turning his head to address her as he juggled the boxers in his hand.

"Long enough . . ." said the Anaconda as she closed the door behind her and walked over to him, just as he was beginning to slide his boxers up his legs, his back still turned to her. "How long have you known I was standing behind you?"

"A while . . ." answered Randy as he finally turned around to face her after pulling his underwear up. "I hope you liked what you saw just now."

"I did, although you really should consider doing something about the area of skin covered by your briefs," suggested Amanda as she walked over to their bed. "If you haven't notice, your ass is like . . . a couple shades lighter than the rest of your body. . . . Talk about a serious case of tan lines mister."

"Yeah . . . I know . . . I'm guilty of having a pale ass," said Randy with a smirk as he grabbed his toothbrush. "I should probably tan the area in order to even it out, but the idea of sun tanning my ass and my balls doesn't sit right with me."

"Fair enough . . ." said Amanda as Randy walked out the room. Amanda moved the sheets out of her way before sliding in between them and the mattress. She pointed a finger to the light switch and moved it down, the switch following her wordless direction and moving in the same direction.

"Ah . . . you gotta love psychic powers . . ." said Amanda to herself as the lights went off. "Well . . . when they're not going crazy or giving you a difficult time."

"What was that babe?" asked Randy as he opened the door to let himself in. "Did you say something?"

"It was nothing you have to worry yourself over," said Amanda as she watched him put away his toothbrush. "I was just talking to myself for a minute, that's all."

"You were talking to yourself?" asked Randy as he slid into his spot beside her. "And you're saying that I shouldn't worry myself over that?"

"Hey . . . talking to oneself is perfectly normal . . ." said Amanda as she rested her head on his bare chest. "Millions of people have done it . . . I even caught you speaking to yourself just yesterday when you were looking at yourself in the bathroom mirror."

"What . . . sometimes I can't help but admire this face that I have been given . . ."said Randy with a smirk as he wrapped his arms around her body, his hold gentle as his hand caressed her baby bump. "Thank you Mom and Dad for the amazing genetics you've handed down to me."

"Okay . . . I see your ego has grown a few pegs now," said Amanda, sarcasm dripping from her voice as she traced circles along Randy's tan abs. "Before it grows anymore, let's move onto something else. . . How about we shift our focus on our unborn child for a bit hmm?"

"Good idea . . ." said Randy as he kissed her forehead. "What would you like to talk about that will concern our little bundle of joy?"

"Let's start with a simple topic . . ." said Amanda as she thought it over in her head. "Let's start with the baby names."

"This just gets' even better . . ." said Randy with a toothy grin. "If the baby is a boy, can we name him after me?"

"You want us to give the baby your name if he or she ends up being a boy. Like . . . Randal Jr.?" thought Amanda as she raised an eyebrow. "I don't know. I'm not really feeling it Ran."

"My name's a good name babe . . ." argued Randy as he shook his head. "And if the boy ends up being a wrestler like us, he wouldn't need to rename the RKO if he wanted to use it in the ring."

"That is, if we give him your exact middle name," said Amanda as she let out a small chuckle. "Or any name that starts with the letter K for that matter. . . Do you have any other suggestions besides your own name?"

"Well . . . the child should have a cool name, since he or she will definitely be coming from a cool background," suggested Randy as he thought it over. "I'd probably wouldn't live it down if we named the child Arnold or Rupert or something old and dumb like that."

"Good call . . . As two dating professional wrestlers, it would be pretty sad if we gave the child a name that almost no one uses anymore," said Amanda as she shook her head in agreement. "I always liked the name Damon . . . Or we could name the baby Zane. What do you think?"

"I like the name Damon . . . I don't think Zane would be a good fit," said Randy as he scrunched his nose at the thought. "And what about a middle name?"

"I already suggested the first name. You can suggest the middle name," said Amanda as she shrugged her shoulders. "What are your suggestions?"

"I don't know, to be honest. I know I have one, but I don't think middle names are my forte . . ." answered Randy as he shook his head. "Maybe we could give him Alexander for his middle name . . . if you like it anyway?"

"Damon Alexander Orton?" asked Amanda as she raised an eyebrow. "I kinda like it actually. It has a nice ring to it to me."

"Alright then . . . Damon Alexander Orton will be the child's name if it turns out to be a boy," said Randy in agreement as he nodded his head. "But what about names for the baby if it turns out to be a girl, just like you want it?"

"Well . . . for some reason, I always wanted my daughter's name to end with an A . . ." said the Anaconda as she thought it over.

"Just like your name Amanda?" asked Randy with a chuckle as he drew out the letter a at the end of her name.

"Maybe . . ." said Amanda as she shook her. "Any girl name that ends with a are worth suggesting Randy. Any thoughts?"

"Hmm . . . there're definitely plenty of choices in that category babe," said Randy with a smirk as he began to let his fingers skim across his mate's ass. "There's Ava, Olivia, Gabriella, Daniela, Isabella, Emma, and a whole bunch of others that I can't really think of off the top of my head right now."

"All of them sound pretty good . . ." mumbled Amanda as she thought over all the names. "It'll be hard to choose a name out of all of them."

"We have little less than six months to decide on a name, so don't worry about it now." said Randy as 'Manda adjusted her body so that her head could lie on his shoulder. "For now, let's just go with the flow and take things as they come alright?"

"Okay . . ." said Amanda in agreement as she shook her head, just as the bus began to slow down. "Hmm . . . that's strange. We couldn't have reached Richmond already."

"I know . . . we're probably still in the middle of Jersey by now," mumbled Randy as he scrunched his eyebrows together. "I wonder why Hal is slowing down . . . I'm going to go ask him."

"Oh . . . on your way back, can you bring me a bottle of water from the fridge?" Amanda asked hopefully as Randy began to slide out the bed.

"What am I, your butler?" asked Randy as he raised an eyebrow at her.

"If you were my butler, you would be wearing a tux," said Amanda as she used her arm as a makeshift pillow. "You're technically my personal manservant."

"Well that's nice . . ." said Randy as he got to his feet. "I'll get it, but only because you're pregnant."

"Thank you!" Amanda called after him as he left the room. Randy walked out the room and through the bus till he reached Hal, who was so focused on what he saw out the window, he never noticed Randy till he was right behind him.

"Why are you slowing down?" Randy asked him, breaking the silence and scaring Hal so much that he almost slammed his hand on the bus' horn, if it weren't for Randy grabbing his wrist to prevent him from doing so that is. "Careful now; if you hit that horn, you'll wake up Alanna, and probably the whole neighborhood, for sure."

"Then don't sneak up on me like that. You scared the shit out of me!" whispered Hal as Randy let his wrist go. "Why do you have to sound so silent when no humans, beside myself, are around?"

"Hey . . . when you're a vampire, it gets tiring making sounds with your feet all day in order to appear more human to the public," said Randy as he did a small shrug. "Why'd you slow the bus down?"

"Well . . . I wasn't planning to at first," explained Hal as he let out a small breath. "But then I spotted Nate on the side of the highway looking like a hitchhiker, and I couldn't help but stop."

"Wait . . . when you said Nate, were you talking about my brother Nate?" asked Randy as he raised an eyebrow, just as a small knocking sound came from door to their right. They turned around to see that it was Nate, smiling at the two as he held his duffle bag in his left hand.

"Yep . . . I'm talking about that Nate." said Hal as he moved a lever that opened the door, letting the relieved younger Orton in.

"Bro, we seriously need to stop meeting up on highways man." said Nate with a grin as he climbed up the steps and dropped the duffle bag at his feet.

"I know . . . this is the second time we've met up like this bro," said Randy as the two shook hands in greeting. "Why are we meeting like this anyway?"

"Well . . . it's a bit of a long story big bro," said Nate as he spotted 'Manda walking over to them from the back of the bus. ". . . But first, I have to greet the woman who's carrying either my future niece or future nephew in her womb. 'Manda, my darling, come here and give me a hug!"

"You are so weird . . ." mumbled Amanda as she shook her head at the younger Orton. "Please don't tell me you're on something."

"Like I could ever be . . . besides I'm immune to every legal and illegal drug there is," said Nate as he grinned at her. "As well as alcohol, most poisonous gases, and laughing gas. . . Damn, I always wanted to try laughing gas."

"Good thing laughing gas doesn't affect you or else we would have heard you chuckling to no end," mumbled Randy as he watched as the two hug. "Or until the laughing gas wears off."

"That is so true . . ." said Nate as he looked over Amanda's shoulder to see Alanna just waking up. "Oh crap, we woke up Alanna."

"Aw great . . . do you know how long it took me to get her to go to sleep?" asked Amanda with a shake of her head as the little girl dropped down from her bunk bed with ease. "Did we wake you up Alanna?"

"Only a little . . ." mumbled the little girl as she walked over to them. "Why is Uncle Nate here? I thought he was in Vegas."

"I thought so too," said Randy as he looked at his brother suspiciously. "Care to explain why we just picked you up from the side of I-95 in the middle of the night?"

"All will be explained just as soon as you all take a seat at the table," answered Nate as he took his seat. Once everyone was seated, Hal continued them on their journey. "Like I said before, what I'm about to say is a long story."

"We're all ears bro," said Randy as he gestured to his ears. "Start talking."

"Well . . . I was here in Jersey because I was competing in my final match of the season down in Atlantic City. My match was the same day as your house show back in NY, and since my match was in the morning, I figured I could get up there and surprise you all before you left town. When I finished getting ready, I walked out the convention center to see that my SUV was gone."

"Your car got stolen?" asked Alanna as her eyes widened in surprise.

"Yes it did," said Nate as he shook his head. "And I still had a good eight payments on that bad boy."

"You did go to the police to file a report right?" asked Amanda as she raised an eyebrow.

"I was going to, but as soon as I stepped out of the lot, I spotted my car swerving in and out of traffic," grumbled Nate as he shook his head. "Turns out this 15 year old kid decided to take my car out for a joy ride."

"Nate . . . Answer this question for me as honestly as possible," said Randy as he leaned forward. "Did you lock your car before leaving it?"

"Yes I did," Nate told him defiantly as he crossed his arms. "I may have my idiotic moments, but I wasn't dumb enough to leave my car unlocked, especially when I have eight freaking payments on that thing."

"Okay . . . what happened next?" asked Amanda as she crossed her arms. "Did you go after him?"

"I did . . . I, of course, ran on the sidewalk at human speed in order to catch up to the swerving vehicle in question," said Nate as his face went all serious. "And then the cops showed up. One car pulled over after they noticed me running and the cops inside asked me if I was the owner of the swerving vehicle. I, of course, said yes. And then, a big boom happened."

"A big boom?" asked Alanna as she crossed her arms.

"Yep . . ." said Nate as he shook his head. "Turns out the kid ran my car into a freaking tractor trailer. The kid managed to jump out of the car before it went up in flames. The fire department managed to take out the flames before the trailer could explode itself. The kid got arrested. Turns out he was drunk and high on pot . . . I pity his parents."

"Is your car insured at least?" asked Randy as he raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah . . . it's insured," said Nate as he shook his car. "I'm just sad that my new car is now in a junkyard somewhere ready to be broken down into scrap metal . . . well, what's left of it that is. I was taking a bus up to the Big Apple, but when it stopped at a rest stop, I took a little too long in the bathroom, and ended up being left behind by the bus . . . at least they left me my duffle bag."

"Wow . . . tough break bro," said Randy as he shook his head. "So, you said that your match in Atlantic City was your last of the season right?"

"Yep . . . but here's the thing," mumbled Nate as he closed his eyes. "I'm signed to a company that's going to downsize its roster during the offseason. Basically, everyone's up on the chopping block, and none of us are going to hear whether we're in or out till the third week in September, and our usual season starts back up in the first week of October."

"Oh . . . you just got to hate it when the company downsizes," mumbles Randy as he shook his head. "Babe, didn't the WWE downsize on a few guys on the roster a while ago."

"Yeah . . . the company heads released ten guys from the roster, which included the Funkasaurus himself, McIntyre, and Mahal," answered Amanda as she shook her head. "Aksana ended up being the only Diva that got released."

"Yeah . . . after you said that 'Manda, the only thing I'm really pissed about is that they didn't let go of Slater after releasing the other two in 3MB," said Nate as he shook his head. "Why did they have to keep the redhead? He was probably the most annoying one of all them!"

"Trust us, we know," mumbled Randy a she let out a deep breath. "Amanda and I work with him in the same company after all."

"To tell you the truth, Jinder and Drew were the nice and polite ones in the group, if you saw them backstage when the cameras weren't rolling," said Amanda as she did a small shrug. "Actually, when they found out they had to form 3MB with Slater, they were two pissed off dudes like you wouldn't believe."

"They didn't like him?" asked Nate as he raised an eyebrow.

"Almost no one on the roster can tolerate him," said Randy as he shook his head. "Most of us are basically wishing for the day that he leaves the WWE."

"Hmm . . . now that I think about it . . . Maybe Slater was the main reason that McIntyre and Mahal decided to leave," said Amanda as she thought it over. "His annoying personality must have driven them away."

"It could be that . . . and look," said Nate as he turned to Alanna. "I guess our talking has driven Alanna back to dreamland."

"She's had a long day, considering it was her birthday after all." said Randy as he got out of his seat.

"It was her birthday?" asked Nate as he went wide eyed, just as Randy picked up his little girl and walked over to the bunk beds. "Note to self; get her a gift once we make it to Richmond."

"That's a good note to leave for yourself Nate," said Amanda with a smirk as she crossed her arms. "Alanna sleeps on the top bunk, so you can choose to sleep in any of the other bunk beds that are provided."

"What about the bedroom at the back of the bus?" asked Nate as he raised an eyebrow.

"That's mine and 'Manda's room," Rand answered him bluntly as he helped Amanda up to her feet and took her hand. "And with that brother, I bid you good night."

"Night!" Nate called after them.

"Do you think he's going to stick with us for the rest of the summer?" asked Amanda as she closed the door behind them once they reached their room.

"Of course I am!" called Nate from behind the door. Randy let an annoyed look come across his face. He opened the door, quickly slapped his brother in the nose, and shut the door in his face before turning to his mate again.

"Did that answer your question?" asked Randy as he raised an eyebrow before walking over to the bed.

"It did . . ." said Amanda with a smirk as she shook her head. "It so did."

Nate's back! Hooray!
