Hee hee hee~. Do WE have some stuff planned out for you, dear readers~.
Enjoy~.
It was the weekend after the final exams. Feliciano had nearly gone insane and Lovino slightly regretted the reward he had told his twin there would be. The other had barely slept or ate, using every spare second he had to cram more information into his brain. He'd even scared Ludwig.
The group was now going on a much needed, and deserved, free day. They had let Feliciano choose the place to go as he had easily studied the hardest of all of them. He had, naturally, chosen the park.
"You know, Feliciano…." Lovino commented as he walked alongside his twin. "When I mentioned the studying shit to you, I meant to JUST study; not fucking kill yourself with it. Hell. You scared EVERYONE pulling that shit. Keep study, but lay off a bit, will you?"
Feliciano whined tiredly, looking at his brother with dark bags under his eyes. "T-This had better have been worth it..." he mumbled.
Lovino sighed and nodded. "It will, dammit. Don't worry," He said, already having a plan of paying for the large meal for his brother himself and not telling him. "So anything you want to go do here?"
"Can someone push me on a swing...? I think I'd fall off if it was just me..." the younger twin mumbled, dragging himself towards the swing set.
"I'LL do it," Lovino quickly said and followed after him, shooting Ludwig a quick warning glare to stay away. He waited until Feliciano sat down to start pushing him. "Hold on, dammit. How high do you want to go anyway?"
"Medium...?"
Lovino nodded and started pushing him.
Feliciano held onto the chains as the wind gently ruffled his hair. He sighed softly, relaxing at the gentle back and forth motion.
"Feels good, huh?" Lovino commented as he concentrated on what he was doing. "But… promise me that when you do fucking study, don't take it so damn far? You fucking scared me then."
"Si... Never... ever... ever... again... ever... again... never..." Feliciano's eyes slid shut and he suddenly fell backwards off of the swing, smashing into his twin and dropping them both to the ground.
"! D-Dammit, Feliciano!" Lovino sputtered as he (gently) shoved Feliciano off himself and forced his brother back onto the swing. "Fucking watch it will you?!" Suddenly, Lovino froze, then looked around as a strange scent started coming towards them. "You smell that?
"I can't smell... To tired..." the smaller teen murmured.
Lovino scowled as he pulled Feliciano to his feet. "Come on. We're leaving." He promptly began dragging Feliciano back to the group and their cars while looking all around them.
The younger wolf whined, reaching back towards the swings. "B-But... play..."
"No!" Lovino snapped as he continued trying to drag Feliciano. "Didn't you fucking hear me?! Something is-!" Before he could get the words out, two people dressed in all black jumped out of the bushes at the two, causing Lovino to let go of his brother to fight the two off.
Feliciano let out a cry when he hit the ground, alerting their friends to their trouble. Instantly Antonio and Ludwig bared their fangs and hissed, rushing to attack the two men.
One of the men threw some sort of liquid at Lovino, hitting him right in the face and eyes along with getting into his mouth causing the Italian to scream in pain before passing out from whatever the mysterious liquid was.
The cries of his alpha brought Feliciano surging to his feet, tiredness forgotten as adrenaline coursed though him. "Fratello!"
Ludwig rushed over and managed to punch one of the men in the face before they yelled at each other and ran off before they could be caught. Turning back and grabbing Feliciano, the vampire started to check him all over. "Feliciano! Are you alright?! Answer me!"
"Get off! Get off get off! Fratello! Fratellone!" Feliciano shrieked, struggling in Ludwig's hold to get to his downed leader, tears dripping down his face in terror.
Antonio was already kneeling beside him. He gently moved Lovino's head into his lap, checking on him. He scowled at the strange liquid and lightly touched some with his finger. He hissed out loud when it seared his skin. "Get me water now!" he yelled, his eyes glowing red.
Alfred quickly snatched up his water bottle and tossed it to the Spaniard. He opened it and gently began to flush out the Italian's eyes.
"We can't stay here," Ludwig said, holding onto Feliciano. "They'll be back. We have to leave now before they find us. We should also make sure we're not followed. Antonio? Get his eyes cleaned out the best you can, but quickly as well." He looked down at Feliciano, then began leading him away. "Come on, Feliciano. We have to go. Antonio will take care of your brother."
"Fratello!"
"Feliciano! We have to move!"
"FRATELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"FELICIANO! MOVE! NOW!"
Lovino remained unconscious for at least a day and half. When he finally (and groggily) got up, he was met with darkness, completely unable to see, causing him to freeze up and grip his bed sheets (that he was able to tell from the smell). "S-Shit….." he stuttered softly and fearfully as he turned his head from side to side, unable to see anything. "T-Those assholes! T-They fucking slipped me something!"
After a few moments of sitting there, Lovino slowly and carefully got up, his throat now burning slightly. Sighing, he put one hand on the wall and used it, along with his sense of smell, to guide himself down into the kitchen without too much of a incident, except for bumping into a few tables as he made his way over to the sink and felt around the cabinets until he found a clean glass and began trying to fill it up with water.
There was the sound of footsteps walking down the hall. Before Lovino could do anything more than turn around, there was a shattering sound as a plate was dropped.
"F-F... FRATELLO!" Feliciano yelled, his voice cracking in relief as he began to cry. He ran to his brother, hugging him tightly and pressing his face to the alpha's neck, trembling slightly.
Lovino screamed slightly as he jumped and dropped the glass, causing it to shatter on the countertop. "F-Feliciano….?!"
Feliciano shrieked in surprise, tightening his hold on his twin and jumping away from the counter, bringing Lovino with him away from the broken glass shards.
Lovino swallowed heavily as he felt for Feliciano's hand and made his brother let him go as he moved away and headed to where the fridge was and opened it up. Keeping Feliciano from watching him, he felt around inside until he found a container of juice and opened it up then started drinking out of it. "D-Don't fucking scare me like that, dammit!" He said, trying to keep Feliciano from noticing what he had to do. "... what the hell happened at the damn park?"
The younger twin began to cry. "S-Some scary men attacked us! T-They threw some k-kind of acid on you and i-it was all over your eyes and got in your mouth! T-Toni touched it to see that is was a-and it burned him!" He hugged Lovino tightly for behind, hiding his face against the other's back. "Y-You've been unconscious for a-almost two days."
"W-What?! Two fucking days?!" Lovino sputtered as he awkwardly recapped the juice and put it back away. "H-how?!" He frowned to himself. At least that explained why he couldn't see at all…. But it wasn't like he was planning on telling his brother that at all.
"I-I don't know!" Feliciano wailed.
"…. You alright, dumbass? Assholes didn't do anything to you did they?" Lovino quietly asked, still not looking to where he could hear Feliciano's voice coming from. Actually, ever since the younger Italian had come into the room, Lovino continued to avoid looking at Feliciano, suspecting that his brother would find out that he couldn't see.
"F-Fratello, what's wrong?" The wolf moved closer and tugged on Lovino's sleeve. "Look at me, fratello!" Feliciano sobbed. "Why won't you look at me?"
Lovino flinched and turned his head away from Feliciano's voice. "N-No reason, dammit! And I don't have to fucking look if I don't fucking want to!"
"LOOK AT ME!" Feliciano's voice cracked in a slightly panicked and crazed tone.
Lovino winced as he pulled away and started quickly walking out of the room, only to almost trip over the table leg before catching himself on the tabletop. "S-Shit!"
"W-Why are you running into things like that...?"
"I-I'm not!" Lovino said quickly, then, to change the subject, he added, "What fucking time it is it? Don't you have something else to do?" He started walking off again, unknowingly headed for a wall in the kitchen.
"C-Check the clock. Y-You're walking right t-towards it..."
Lovino stopped walking and tensed up, clenched his fists as he turned his head to the ground. "J-Just… f-fucking tell me will you? Not that fucking hard to do… I-I'm not in a good spot to see the damn thing."
"It's right. In. Front. Of you."
"F-Fine! F-Fucking forget it!" Lovino snapped as he turned, an, remembering how the room was set up, awkwardly headed to the living room.
Feliciano's eyes widened. "... w-w... what's wrong with you're eyes...?" he whispered.
Lovino quickly turned away to keep Feliciano from looking into his face. "N-Nothing, dammit!"
He reached out and grabbed Lovino's head, turning him around so he could see his eyes. "F-Fratello... Why... Why aren't your eyes focusing on me...? O-Or anything else...? And why are they a w-weird color...?"
Lovino flinched as he tried to pull away. "I-I…..! D-Dammit, Feliciano…! J-Just let go!"
"Tell me. R-Right now!"
"Get off!" Lovino snapped, then yanked himself away only to crash right into the chair in front of him with a loud curse.
"Lovi... A-Are you... blind...?"
Lovino, who had just righted himself and used the chair to hold himself up, remained silent, confirming his brother's thoughts.
Feliciano's eyes widened and he stumbled backwards away from his twin, tripping over a chair and crashing to the floor where he lay, staring up at Lovino. "L-Lovino... N-No..." He curled into a ball, gripping his hair tightly. "This is all my fault... T-This is all my fault!" he shrieked.
Lovino jumped at the sound, then knelt down and felt around for his brother. "F-Feliciano…? D-Dammit! It's NOT your damn fault! W-Where the hell are you?!"
"A-All my fault... All my f-fault..." Feliciano whimpered, tears beginning to drip down his cheeks.
Finally locating his brother, Lovino pulled Feliciano into a hug and started rubbing his back. "It's not your fault, dammit… it's not…."
The younger teen's body was trembling as he curled up closer to the elder, muttering softly, "M-My fault... All my fault... my f-fault..."
"D-Dammit, Feliciano… p-please stop…."
"No! No! I did this! If I hadn't wanted to go to the park, this would never have happened!" Sobbing, Feliciano jumped up, his emotions beginning to distort, twisting around themselves. He stumbled from the room, a continuous chant of 'my fault my fault' following after him.
"Ugh…. Fucking place… how fucking long does it take to make a pair of fucking glasses anyway?!" Lovino complained as he leaned back in his seat a few days later. When he first lost his eyes and they managed to get to see Yao, he was able to give the elder twin a potion to restore his sight, only not at 100%, meaning Lovino now needed to wear glasses which was why he was currently sitting in the lobby of the eye center of the store after being driven there by his brother, being unable to see well enough to drive.
"It could well take the rest of our mortal lives..." Feliciano sighed, sliding down low in his seat. Since Lovino had woken up, Feliciano had not quite been himself, seeming to now have a far bleaker outlook on life than anyone had though was possible for the cheery teen. Needless to say, just as he had been good at bringing sunshine to a room full of gloom, he could now bring despair to a happy environment.
Lovino groaned and dragged a hand down his face. "Should have fucking driven myself….." he muttered. He frowned as he glanced over at Feliciano and squinted his eyes to get a better look. "... What the HELL are you fucking wearing right now...?"
"... Just some... stuff I found... I feel as though I am slightly closer to my true self when I wear it..." Feliciano was wearing thick black eyeliner on the lower part of his eyelids. A thin white power covered his face, making him appear even paler than he already was and gaunt.
"Where? A fucking Halloween store?" the older twin muttered under his breath. Then he got up when they called his name and walked over to the counter where the worker pulled out his new pair of glasses and began to adjusted comfortably for his face. A few moments after this, Lovino turned to the mirror right next to him (although blinking a few times as he got used to being able to see clearly again), looking at his new reflection, which was himself looking normal, expect for the thin, wired framed glasses on his face. "Ugh.. can't believe I have to wear this shit now…" he grumbled, picking up the supplies he needed for cleaning the glasses and such, then headed over to his brother. "Come on, dammit. Let's get out of this damn place."
"Why rush it?" Feliciano mumbled, slowly getting up and following Lovino to the door. "We're all doomed to die in the end anyway..."
Lovino shot him a glare then continued walking. "You know what? Just shut the fuck up for a while will you? I want MY damn brother back."
Feliciano sighed sadly, hunching his shoulders as he stuck his hands into his pockets. "I will never be accepted for who I am... My one true desire..."
Lovino scowled as he bit back a retort, snatching Feliciano's keys out of his pocket. "I'm fucking driving. You get in the passenger seat."
"Merely because I suffer from everlasting anguish and torture does not mean I would crash the car to end it all. I care far to much for you, dear brother."
"Whatever. I'm still fucking driving. Now get your ass in the car! I promised to meet with the tomato bastard after this damn eye appointment!"
"Very well, dear brother."
Lovino grumbled something to himself as he started the car up and drove them both back home, then got in his own car and drove to the mall, parking, then walking inside.
After a bit of searching, the Italian finally managed to spot the Spanish vampire in the middle of the food court and promptly walked over to him, gently kicking him in the back in the leg. "What's that stupid look on your face for, you bastard?"
Antonio turned around to greet him, but paused, his eyes widening as his mouth dropped open, staring at Lovino in wonder.
Lovino blinked then scowled as he crossed his arms. "What's that damn look for? Have any fucking comments about these damn things?"
The Spanish teen smiled brightly. "You look really good in glasses, Lovi. Well, you look good all the time, but glasses look amazing on you too~!"
"Y-Yeah right, bastard…" Lovino stammered as he glanced away, his face red from his blush. "F-Fucking lip service. I already know the damn things look stupid as hell." He sighed. "Or 'depressing' as hell if you ask a certain now emo bastard…"
"Feli still not back to normal?"
"Fuck no. At this point, avoiding him feels like the easiest thing to do."
"Si, probably. Though... I doubt that will help any recovery..."
Lovino glanced at him out of the corner of his eyes. "If you have a better idea, I'm ALL ears, bastard."
"Um... Maybe try doing all the things he loves... er... loved? Maybe that would help, you know, reminding him that everything isn't as bleak as he seems to think it is," Antonio suggested.
"… fine. Guess I can try that… But…" Lovino looked Antonio right in the eyes. "YOU are helping me with that shit. Come on. Let's go." Then he dragged Antonio off.
Four men moved up the path towards Arthur's house, all of their identities hidden by dark cloaks that covered their bodies and hoods that went over their heads. Reaching the door, the leader reached out and rang the doorbell.
"Oh of all the-!" Arthur grumbled and cursed as he made his way to the door and opened it. "This had better not be one of your bloody pranks Alfred or so help me I'll-!" He looked up to see the men and froze for a second before trying to slam his door shut.
Two of the cloaked figured threw out their hands, forcing the door open and the four men entered the house. "Arthur Kirkland," the leader droned. "Due to your unmatchable magical powers and abilities, you have been selected to help our Brotherhood destroy the plague that is upon us. You need not fear us, young Sorcerer."
"I certainly think not!" Arthur snapped back as he prepared to cast a spell. To distract the man demanded, "And what bloody plague are you talking about? Is it werewolves? Are you part of that group?"
"Werewolves. Vampires. Daemon foxes. Sirens. All the Supernaturals that have invaded this area must be done away with. It is far to dangerous for the human populous," the man murmured. "If you choose to work with us willingly, your rewards will be great. However, if you choose to oppose us, the consequences shall be dire."
The mage tensed up at the mention of 'sirens'. Giving the man a steely glare, he growled, "All I have to say to that is: GO. TO. HELL!" Then he launched a lightening spell at them. "You have no right to kill anyone, you bastard! Who gives you the right to judge who is danger and who is not?!"
The man put out his hand, a barrier of blue energy shielding the four from the Brit's magic. "Kill...? No no, young one. There will be no killing. We are not killers. Our Brotherhood merely seeks to make them harmless to the fragile humans they endanger."
"They are endangering no one! Now leave them all alone!"
"Of course they are, young one. Perhaps you cannot see it now, but you will someday. Soon. It is safest to deal with them now than to wait for some terrible tragedy to happen."
"I won't let you!" Arthur roared then shot another, this time a different spell, at them to try to break the barrier.
"ENOUGH." In a flash of white light, Arthur was slammed backwards into the wall. "You no longer have a choice in this matter. You will help us, no matter what." The remaining three men held out hands towards Arthur, retraining him as the leader moved forward.
"W-What is this?!" Arthur exclaimed as he immediately began trying to fight to get free. "Unhand me right this instant!"
The leader put his hand over Arthur's eyes, his palm glowing red. "You will help us whether you want to or not. You are to powerful to go unchecked yourself. We are taking you with us. Your magiks will fuel our spells from now on."
Arthur's eyes began to grow heavy as he tried to fight off the spell. "N-no…!" he gasped out. "L-leave.. them all….alon…." he trailed off as he lost consciousness and fell limp into their arms.
When he stopped moving, the leader removed his hand, then snapped his fingers. The cloaks seemed to dissolve into thick, black smoke around the five magic users. It covered them, then sank into the ground, taking the magicians with it.
