Chapter 33: Baby Kicks and Burning Sandals
Normal POV
45 minutes after Randy and Nate went hunting
"Alanna . . .?" called Amanda as she walked into the living room to see that the little girl in question was sitting on the couch watching 'Phineas & Ferb' on the plasma screen. "Alanna . . . have you see Hal anywhere?"
"He went back to the tour bus after grabbing a soda from the fridge," answered the little girl as she kept her eyes glued on the screen. "He said he was going to call it a night before he left."
"Well I guess we'll see him in the morning then . . ." said Amanda with a shrug as she walked over to the couch and sat next to the girl. "Alanna . . . I want to ask you another question . . . and I want an honest answer from you."
"Okay . . ." said Alanna as she turned to the Anaconda. "I'm all ears 'Manda. What is your question for me today?"
"I wanted to ask for your opinion on the babies' names . . ." said Amanda as she crossed her arms. "What kind of names would you like your father and I to give to your little sisters? I would like to hear your suggestions, well . . . if you have any."
"Wow . . . I never thought you would ask me that question!" Alanna suddenly exclaimed as she went wide eyed.
"Now why would you think that?" asked Amanda as she raised an eyebrow.
"Because I thought naming babies was something that only the parents could do . . ." answered Alanna as she brushed her fingers through her blonde hair. "Are you sure you want my honest opinion?"
"Of course I'm sure . . . You're going to be the big sister of two little girls pretty soon Alanna, therefore you are just as involved in this pregnancy as me and your father, even if you're just a little girl yourself. I don't know about your father, but I for one want your input in this."
"Aw . . . thanks 'Manda," said the little girl as she gave the older woman a hug, being very careful not to hit Amanda's baby bump in the process. "It means a lot . . ."
"You're welcome sweetheart . . ." said Amanda with a smirk as she hugged the young girl back before letting her go. "Now, what do you think would be good names for your younger siblings hmm? I'm ready for your opinions."
"For starters, I think their names should rhyme . . . or they should at least sound alike," said Alanna with a smile as she shook her head. "Just like how yours and Auntie Monica's names sound alike."
"Well that's a good start . . ." said Amanda as she shook her head. "Got any other ideas? Do you have any specific suggestions for the twins' names Alanna?"
"I always liked the names Daniela and Gabriella for some reason . . ." said Alanna as she thought it over. "You can call them Dani and Gabi for short . . . Oh, hi daddy, hi Uncle Nate! You two look horrible!"
Amanda quickly turned around to see the two Orton brothers walk into the room from the kitchen with grins on their faces. Nate was covered in dirt and mud, but Randy looked a little worse than his brother. Not only was he also covered in dirt and grime, but his shirt was ripped in the front, showing off four raised slash marks along his chest that was lined with dried blood; his blood most likely.
"Huh . . . I guess you two really did have fun with your food now huh?" asked Amanda with an eyebrow raised as she eyed the two brothers. "What exactly happened to you boys while you were gone?"
"Well . . . we found a group of deer while we're out hunting, but I kinda scared them, so they all went off into different directions to escape us," explained Nate as he shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal. "One got caught by a pair of pumas and Randy and I decided to go after them instead while they were distracted. I took down mine pretty easily, but Randy here had a bit of trouble with his cat."
"Uh . . . would that explain the claw marks across Daddy's chest?" asked Alanna as she pointed to her guilty looking father.
"Yes . . . I believe so," Amanda answered her as she shook her head. "I hope the puma wasn't too much of a problem for ya babe . . . It looks like he put up quite a fight."
"The puma was quite the challenge I'll admit, but I managed to handle him in the end . . ." said Randy as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Alanna, can you please go get ready for bed now?"
"That depends . . ." said the little girl as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Can I stay up past my bedtime tonight? Please?"
"That depends . . ." said Randy as he narrowed his eyes at his little girl. "How long are you planning to stay up past your bedtime tonight hmm?"
"Only for an hour and a half . . ." answered Alanna as she narrowed her eyes at her father. "I want to catch up on the 'Phineas & Ferb' episodes I've missed while we've been traveling around the country this summer."
"And speaking of traveling, Randy, we're going to have to bring Alanna back home to St. Louis pretty soon," said Amanda as she got back onto her feet. "Sam said that the school year is starting earlier than it did last year, and she wants Alanna to be home before the first day so she can properly prepare for it."
"Wow . . . summer vacation went by that fast . . ." mumbled Randy as he turned to a wide eyed Alanna, who looked shocked at the fact that her summer vacation was ending soon. ". . . But Amanda is right. We're going to have to bring you back to your mother so that you could be ready for school in a few weeks."
"Aw . . . why do summer vacations have to be so short?" whined Alanna as she rolled her head back in disbelief. "I can't believe school's going start again in a few weeks. I'm not ready for that kind of stress yet!"
"What kind of stress does a seven year old go through in elementary school?" asked Nate as he turned to his niece.
". . . You have no idea," answered Alanna as she shot her uncle a wide eyed look. "First grade was torture, and now I have to go into SECOND GRADE? Seriously, the grades just get harder and harder each year. Trust me . . ."
"Oh . . . we trust ya. We've been in your shoes before . . . a long time ago," said Randy as he and Amanda exchanged a quick glance with each other. "Okay Alanna, you can stay up an hour and a half past your bedtime, but you better be in bed after that extra time is up okay?"
"Thank you daddy!" said Alanna with a big grin on her face as she went back to watching the TV screen, but then she turned back around. "Uh daddy, I don't want to be mean, but you and Uncle Nate are starting to smell. Can you please go take a shower now? Your scent is starting to spread across the room."
"Oh my goodness, my niece just insulted us . . ." said Nate as he brought a hand to his chest. "That hurt, but she's right bro . . . We are kinda starting to smell."
"Yeah . . . she does make a good point. Besides, we don't want Grandma and Grandpa walking into a stinky smelling home now do we?" asked Randy as he walked over to the hallway that led to the bedrooms. "I'm going to take a shower now . . . Alanna, I expect you to clean yourself up before you go to bed alright?"
"Yes sir!" called the little girl as her father left the room. She then turned to her uncle, who was still standing in the middle of the room; his scent continuing to stink up the place. "Aren't you going to take a shower too Uncle Nate?"
"I'm going; I'm going . . ." said Nate as he waked out the room, grumbling about insulting nieces as he left.
"Remember Alanna, get yourself ready for bed . . ." said Amanda as she looked at the girl one last time. "You don't want to have your father getting on your case about it once he comes out of the shower do you?"
"Nope. . . I'll get ready after this episode ends, I promise . . ." was all Alanna said as Amanda walked out the room with a smirk on her face. She made her way back to her bedroom to see that Randy's dirty pants, boxers, and shoes were in a corner of the room just waiting to be washed. She also spotted the Viper's ruined shirt in a small trash bin next to the bathroom door, where the sounds of running water could be easily heard from inside.
"I know you're out there . . ." said Randy's voice from behind the door as Amanda silently neared it. "Amanda, I really know you're out there in that room. Come inside the bathroom . . . I want to talk to you."
"You want to talk me?" Amanda asked playfully as she grasped the doorknob. "Do you really want to talk to me, or do you actually have something else in mind for me in that bathroom?"
Besides the obvious sounds of falling water, the room fell silent as Amanda waited for her beau's answer. Her ears perked up as soon as she heard the sounds of wet feet hitting tiled floor, and soon enough, the doorknob was jerked out of her grasp as Randy swung the door open, stark naked except for the water and some small soap suds falling down across his skin. He quickly pulled Amanda into the bathroom and closed the door behind her, locking it with a soft click before turning to face her with an intense stare.
"I guess you decided on the second option . . ." said Amanda as she watched as Randy's lips pulled up into a little smirk. He gently pulled her into his wet chest and leaned down to kiss her, giving her a taste of what he had only a few minutes prior. "Yep, you've definitely decided on the second option . . . So that's what puma blood and deer blood taste like when you combine them together."
"You like it . . .?" Randy asked her with a smirk as he leaned down to kiss her again with one hand firmly holding the back of her neck while the other rested on the curve in her back, his stomach barely touching hers as he held her close.
"It's . . . different," said Amanda as the Viper let her go. "It's definitely something that I have to get used to."
"Hey . . . drinking the blood from different kinds of animals is just a part of the vampire lifestyle," said Randy with a smirk as he went back into the shower. He then turned around and stretched his arm out to his mate, as if he was offering an invitation. "Babe . . . I think it's time you cashed in on that rain check from earlier."
"You can never stop being horny for long huh babe?" asked Amanda as she moved her eyes downward to see Randy's semi hardened shaft coming to attention.
"As you can see . . . I cannot," said Randy as he gestured to his groin. "Now get in this shower before I come over there and rip those clothes off your body myself! Remember, I tend to make good on my word, so don't try to get out of it."
"I bet you would so love to do that to me anyway. . ." said Amanda as she began to undo her pants, slowly sliding them off her well-toned legs and flicking them off to the side. Randy watched her earnestly as she slowly took off her shirt in a very seductive manner before throwing it toward her pants, leaving her in just her bra and panties. Even though she was indeed more than five months pregnant with twins, Randy truly believed that Amanda was as sexy as the day she became his mate. ". . . Uh Randy?"
"Huh . . ." thought the Viper as Amanda's voice broke him out of his thoughts. He was so distracted that he didn't notice that Amanda was standing a full foot away from him with her back facing him. ". . . Is there something wrong babe?"
"I was just wondering if you could undo the bra clasp for me . . ." said the Anaconda as she pulled her hair up and pointed to the object in question. "If that isn't too much for you that is . . ."
Randy smirked at her attempt to challenge him. With one quick movement of his fingers, he unclasped the hook and even went as far as to pull off the bra straps from her shoulders, successfully removing the bra from Amanda's body and onto the floor. Ten seconds later, her panties were joining it.
"You're not going to go too crazy are you?" asked Amanda with an eyebrow raised as she stepped into the shower and closed the door behind her.
"Hmm . . ." muttered Randy as he let out a small chuckle. "I'll try not to."
Amanda's POV; 35 minutes later
"Are you okay baby . . .?" I hear Randy whisper in my ear as his hands continued their exploration of my body, the running water continues to pour down on us from the shower head above. "You've been a little off these past few minutes. Is there something troubling you? Am I doing something wrong?"
"Trust me babe . . . you're not doing anything wrong," I say breathlessly as I feel Randy's lips on my neck. "I've just got this feeling . . . that something is about to happen, but I don't know what . . ."
"Is it a good feeling . . . or a bad one," Randy asks me distractedly as I feel his fangs nibble my skin.
"I . . . It's a good feeling," I say as I think it over, a moan threatening to escape past my lips as I felt one of his hands slide along my ass. "I just . . . I just have no idea on what it could be, that's all."
"Maybe you're just feeling happy that we're spending such quality time to together in the shower." Randy suggests with a chuckle as he gently pushes me back first into the wall.
"Nah . . . that's not it; it's something different . . ." I tell him with a shake of my head as I suddenly feel something poking me in my gut. ". . . That . . . Now that was it."
"What was it?" Randy asks me curiously as he moves his head back so that he was looking me in the eye. "What in the world are you talking about?"
"It was my stomach . . ." I say as I let it all sink in, the realization starting to come clear to me as I looked down at my protruding gut. "I think . . . I think one of the twins just kicked me."
"Wait what . . .?" Randy asks me in absolute shock as he too looks down at my gut. His right hand begins to skim across my stomach, as if he could exactly trace out the spot where one of our unborn girls just kicked me. "Are . . . are you sure?"
"I . . . I think so," I say as I looked at him in disbelief. "I just felt a small poke come from my left side. It could have been a kick."
"I don't know babe . . . Maybe it was something else . . . Maybe it was-" Randy tries to suggest something, but he's cut off when I feel a stronger poke hit me in the gut, right at the spot where Randy's hand lay. ". . . Oh shit, one of the twins just kicked my hand."
"I thought you said it was something else?" I say with a chuckle as I can't help but smile at the fact that one of our girls has started kicking.
"Forget what I said about the poking being something else . . ." Randy tells me with a grin as he turns off the shower. "I felt that hit with my own hand. . . That was definitely one of our little girls kicking you inside that womb of yours."
"Well, since one of them is kicking, then that means the pregnancy is really making progress," I say with a chuckle as I watch the Viper as he steps out of the shower. "Hopefully, it won't be long till the other one starts kicking too."
"Hey . . . maybe they were both kicking. One twin could have done the first hit while the other did the second." suggests Randy as he hands me a towel while he kept another one for himself.
"That could also be possible . . ." I say with a chuckle as I quickly dry myself. "Should we tell the others?"
"I think it would be mean of us if we held back this piece of good news from everybody else," he tells me with a childish smirk as he wraps his towel around his waist. "Do you really think we should be that mean?"
"Hey . . . you're asking me that question even though you tend to be the meaner one among the two of us?" I ask with an eyebrow raised as I wrapped my towel around my body. "That's rich Randy. . . . That's very rich."
"I am not the meaner one among the two of us . . ." Randy tells me defiantly as he crosses his arms over his chest. "Who's told you that crap?"
"Practically everyone we know . . ." I tell him bluntly as I walk out the bathroom and head over to my suitcase. "People that we know have said that if they had to compare the two of us, most of them have said that I'm the nicer one."
"But there have been some people that have said I'm nicer right?" he asks me with a sheepish smirk on his face as he stands in the doorway. ". . . Right?"
"Yeah, they've said that," I tell him with a chuckle as I pick out a blue nightgown from my collection of clothes. ". . . But only because you frightened them so much that they feared that you would kill them if they said something bad about you."
"Was this poll supposedly taken before Alanna was born, or after?" he asks me thoughtfully as he placed a hand underneath his chin.
"Before . . ." I tell him with a smirk as I walked back into the bathroom, dragging him along with me as I did. "But if you asked the same people now, I guess their opinions may be different from the first go around."
"Yeah . . . like I'll take the time to do that . . ." the Viper tells me with a roll of his eyes as he quickly gets dressed. " . . . I'm not a census worker. I'm a wrestler."
"Yeah . . . a wrestler who's afraid of spiders might I just add," I say with a chuckle as I point to the small eight legged creature that was crawling a mere five inches away from Randy's head. As soon as Randy turned around and saw the spider, his eyes widened in disbelief before he started inching toward me. Soon enough, he was using me as a shield, well . . . he was attempting to. ". . . Really babe? Really?"
"Okay . . . so I still have my problems when it comes to spiders . . . Sue me," he tells me with a small groan as he places his chin on my shoulder. ". . . Can you please get rid of that thing?"
"Ths is sad Randy . . A grown professional wrestler asks his pregnant girlfriend to kill a measly spider for him because he's too scared to do it himself. . . Why can't you do it?" I ask with a chuckle as I grab a nearby bottle of lotion. "You're a guy Randy. Killing bugs shouldn't be that much of a problem for ya."
"It usually isn't, but spiders are an entirely different story. . ." he tells me as he comes closer to me, and further away from the spider. ". . . To be honest, I think my fear has gotten worse these past few days."
"Yeah . . . no kidding," I say with a roll of my eyes as I quickly lotion myself up and get dressed. I quickly make my way out of the bathroom, only to come back seconds later with one of Randy's sandals in hand. ". . . And now, since you won't grow a backbone to kill the spider yourself, the gruesome task is left to me."
"Thank you babe . . ." he tells me in complete relief as he pecks me on the cheek, but then he shoots a skeptic glance at his sandal in my hand. ". . . But do you have to use my sandal to squish the pesky bug? Couldn't you have used another object, like one of your own shoes perhaps?"
"Nope, this is going to be your punishment for not doing the job yourself," I say with a chuckle as I walk over to the wall where the spider was crawling on. "You're going to watch me kill the spider with your own sandal."
"Is this necessary?" the Viper asks me with an eyebrow raised as he crosses his arms.
"Hmm . . . let's see . . . yes," I tell him bluntly before I start slapping the crap out of the spider with the bottom of his sandal. I slap the poor creature into submission, hitting it so fast that I don't give it enough time for its broken carcass to drop to the floor. Once I was done, the body didn't stick to the wall or drop to the floor. Once I turned the sandal around, I realized that the spider's body was lodged right onto the bottom. I then turned to Randy, who was now looking at me wide eyed after my little burst of senseless killing, and handed him his sandal. " . . . Here you go. You don't have to worry about the spider any longer."
". . . Great, I always wanted a spider stuck under my shoe . . ." he tells me with a shake of his head as he slowly takes the shoe from me. ". . . And these were my favorite pair of sandals too . . ."
"What are you going to do . . . Burn them?" I ask with an eyebrow raised as I walk over to the sink.
". . . Maybe . . ." he tells me innocently as he quickly leaves the room. I wash my hands and quickly brush my teeth before walking back out to see that Randy wasn't in the room. I walked out our bedroom to see that Nate was holding onto Randy's sandals while Randy just looked at his brother with a scowl on his face. He tried to reach for his sandals, but Nate pulled them back close to his chest.
"What's going on here?" I ask with a smirk on my face as I walk over to the two brothers. ". . . And why are you holding your brother's sandals Nate?"
"I found Randy rummaging through the kitchen looking for a lighter. He was mumbling something about 'destroying his sandals', so I decided to do the right thing and save this poor pair of footwear from certain destruction." Nate answers me with a proud grin on his face as he held the sandals up like it was the World Cup trophy.
"You're actually planning to burn your sandals?" I say with an eyebrow raised as I turned to look at Randy's guilty looking face. "Babe, you're basically burning away money if you do that."
"I can always buy myself another pair . . ." he tells me with a shrug. "Besides, I can never wear them anymore. They've been . . . contaminated."
"Contaminated . . . By what?" Nate asks us curiously as he switches his gaze between the two of us. "What's wrong with these sandals . . . well, besides the smell? Seriously bro, you're feet freaking stink!"
"I used one of them to kill a spider that was crawling around in our bathroom . . ." I say with a chuckle as I pointed to the sandals in question. "The dead body is still under one of the soles actually."
The look on Nate's face is absolutely comical as his eyebrows shot up as high as they could while his eyes went as wide as saucers. He slowly, but surely, turned both sandals around to look down at the soles for himself, and once he saw the dead spider, and that his hand was actually touching the dead arachnid, he threw the sandals in the air and quickly ran into his room yelling "I TOUCHED A SPIDER! I TOUCHED A FUCKING SPIDER!" as he went.
"HEY!"
Randy and I turn around to see Alanna looking at us from down the hall. She had a stern look on her face, but to be honest, it was a little hard to take her seriously since she was wearing pink bunny pajamas.
"I heard that curse word!" she tells us as she points to us like she was a mother disciplining her children. "Uncle Nate owes me another quarter for my swear jar!"
"Don't worry Alanna, we'll make sure that happens . . ." I say with a chuckle as I hear my phone go off in the other room. It only takes two seconds for me to retrieve it. ". . . Oh great. I got a text from Ted. He just had a vision on the results for Night of Champions."
"Oh good . . . what did he write," Randy asks me curiously as he looks over my shoulder to see the text. "Am I in the picture?"
"Yeah . . . you end up beating Chris Jericho that night. Apparently, this match happens because you attack him during a backstage Raw segment," I say with a shrug as I look over the message. "In other news, Cody and his brother end up winning the tag team titles, Sheamus retains his U.S. title, and John does beat Brock . . ."
'Oh thank God yes . . ." Randy cries out in relief before I could finish my sentence. "He actually wins back the title. . . Good for him."
"Not exactly . . . You didn't let me finish," I say as I shake my head. "John does win that night, but he wins by disqualification . . . He doesn't get that title back."
"Aw shit . . . I celebrated for nothing," Randy says with a shake of his head, his eyes instantly going to Alanna, who was still staring at us from down the hall. ". . . I owe you a quarter don't I?"
"Yep . . ." she tells us with a shake of her head before turning around and walking away. "I expect my money in the morning."
"I have a feeling she's not going to let you forget that . . ." I say with a chuckle as Randy just looked at his daughter with an exasperated look on his face. "Huh . . . Ted's text isn't done yet. . . The last thing he writes is that I should call Alicia."
"Why Alicia?" Randy asks me bluntly as he turns to me with his eyes narrowed.
"Says here he got a follow up vision of Alicia becoming member of the Total Divas cast . . . Oh damn . . . She doesn't like that show at all; hates it actually." I say as I realization dawned on me. "Looks like I'm going to have to listen to one of her rants again. . . Why does everyone want to rant to me?"
"Maybe it's because you have the most patience out of everyone we know when it comes to listening to other people's problems?" Randy suggests as he picks up his footwear from the ground, careful to not touch the dead spider underneath.
"Huh . . . there's that . . . If you excuse me, I'm going to have to make a call to a certain Fox . . ." I say with a shake of my head as I walk back to our room. ". . . And don't you dare go burning up those sandals while I'm gone mister."
"Okay!" I hear him say to me as I close the door behind me, my fingers already busy with looking for Alicia's number on my contact list.
Normal POV
Randy looked at the closed door that led to his bedroom before turning around to see that Nate was staring at him from his bedroom doorway, his hands looking red from what Randy would probably guess was from scrubbing his hands mercilessly to get the spider germs. After a closer inspection, he noticed that a lighter was in his brother's right hand.
"I heard you needed this . . ." said Nate as he handed the lighter to Randy, practically forcing the small item into his brother's free hand. ". . . Show those sandals no mercy."
Randy snuck a quick look at his bedroom door before looking at his sandals, and then finally turned to his brother. A small smirk came across his face before he left the hall at blazing speed. Nate let out a slow chuckle before turning to see that Amanda was looking at him from her bedroom doorway, with a blank look on her face.
"We're in trouble aren't we . . . ?" Nate asked her nervously as he eyed the Anaconda unsurely.
"You have no idea . . ." was all Amanda said as she shook her head and retreated to her room, her mind now busy with punishment ideas for the two Orton brothers.
Oh, those boys . . .
