Story according to me plus interruptions by the characters

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away, there was a princess.

"Great, a fairy tale."

"You don't sound very enthusiastic… A fairy tale isn't that bad."

"I've heard stories…"

She was beautiful. A soft cream skin, a cute button nose, pink lips, blue eyes that shone as sapphires-"

"Actually, sapphires don't shine. They merely reflect light."

"…you're quite a know-it-all, aren't you?"

"…"

"…"

"...I prefer the term 'smart'."

"Sure you do."

As I was saying, blue eyes that reflected light as sapphires and long, voluminous, curly, shiny, soft, silky brown hair.

"Apparently the hair is important."

"And really pretty."

Her name was Hilda.

"Well, I guess my hair is brown, yeah…"

"And soft…"

"Don't touch it!"

Sadly, Hilda had been stuck in a tower for her whole life, and she longed for a handsome prince to rescue her.

Only the bravest or stupidest men tried, as most of them were scared off by the huge, evil Dragonite that guarded her tower. And if they weren't scared off, then they were killed off by the Pokémon.

It had long, sharp fangs that glittered in the moonlight. Its skin was covered with dark, impermeable scales. Its wings would often cut the air, as their edges were as sharp as knives. Its claws were permanently colored red from the many victims it had slain. The ground around the tower was charred black and lifeless, as the Dragonite's fiery breath engulfed it daily in flames. Its eyes-

"Yes, yes, we get it already, the Dragonite is scary! Jeez…"

Now I have to start over again. Let's see… oh yeah. It had long, sharp-

"Oh Arceus no…"

Fine… I'll skip the descriptions. Let's see, let's see… Yellow eyes, blah blah blah, poisonous fumes, yadda yadda yadda, spiked tail-

"It doesn't even sound like a Dragonite anymore."

Ah yeah, here we are. But on a certain stormy day, life was finally looking up for our poor princess again. Because on that day, her hero arrived.

The wind howled along with the Dragonite as the prison keeper accepted the challenge of the knight, who seemed dwarfed by the hugeness of the evil Pokémon. His sword – a mere needle compared to the Dragonite – was unsheathed, reflecting the lightning that tore through the clouds.

The rain was pouring down heavily, effectively preventing the Dragonite from spitting fire, but barely making it less dangerous. Hilda's screams joined the loud thunder as the completely unprotected man charged forward, his sword stretched out in front of him.

Water streamed down her face as she stood on the roof of her tower, but she was quite sure rain usually didn't taste salt.

She was crying.

"Yes, thank you for pointing out the obvious."

She was crying for all the death, for all the men that had lost their lives trying to save her, something she never wanted. She was crying for herself, for her lost and empty life. But most of all, she was crying for the young man who would die at the paws of the Dragonite, because, unprotected as he was, he would surely die. Right?

But the lack of armor made him light and agile, and he evaded all Dragonite's blows. And then, in a flash of silver, the sword was thrown upwards and hit the evil Pokémon in its neck, immediately killing it.

"Wow… that was easy."

"You're right. With all that build-up, this was rather anticlimactic."

Disregarding the fallen body completely, the young man climbed up the tower with his bare hands, wanting to see the woman he had loved for so long for the first time.

"Right, the woman he hasn't even met but who he already loves, yeah, right."

"Rather unrealistic, I admit."

"Hilda…" he whispered, looking at her in awe.

"Oh my brave prince, what is thy name?" she asked, her voice only wavering slightly.

"I am only a humble knight, oh princess, and I'm called Lucas."

"We could've guessed that was you, right?"

"You mean you hadn't yet?"

"…"

"…"

"Shut up."

"Lucas…" Hilda tasted the name, her beautiful blue eyes shining with love and hope for their future.

The storm had quieted down, but the rain was still steadily drizzling onto the earth.

"C'mon Lucas," she said, an inviting smile on her pretty face. "You must be getting cold in those wet clothes."

And that night, as the rain slowly stopped and the clouds parted to show a perfectly full, white moon, Lucas proved himself not only a skilled warrior, but also a skilled lover.

The end.

Story according to the characters

Hilda: "…"

Lucas: "…"

Hilda: "That was horrible."

Lucas: "…"

Hilda: "…Lucas..?"

Lucas: "…"

Hilda: "Uh, Lucas? Lucas, are you okay? Lucas?"

Lucas: "…"

Hilda: "Oh great, you've traumatized his innocent mind. Absolutely fabulous."

Lucas: "…"

Hilda: "That was sarcasm by the way. It's absolutely not fabulous. Not that, and not the story. Definitely not the story! Gah, horrible. The ending was too rushed, the descriptions overdone, and the characters were inconsistent. One moment she- I mean, I'm shy, and the next I'm inviting nerdy boy over there in my bed!"

Thump.

Hilda: "…"

Hilda: "Oh great, he fainted."

Hilda: "Well, I'm outta here. Hopefully never see you again."

Lucas: "Ugh… what happened…?"

Lucas: "…"

Lucas: "Oh yeah…"

Lucas: "…"

Lucas: "Uh… Hello…? Is anyone here? Hello? Hilda? Hilda! Hilda! Don't leave me here alone!"

A/N: Thank you for reading! I hope it was somewhat amusing. I had fun writing it, anyway :P

Please review, and thank you!

Extra (useless) info: The 'white' part in the name WhiteKnightShipping probably refers to Hilda, coming from the games Black and White and the name of her manga counterpart, White. White might also have something to do with the meaning of the name Lucas, that namely being bright or light, which could be interpreted as white. Knight could refer to Lucas being some sort of rescuer, and/or a knight as a piece of a chess set, tying in with the chess theme in the Black and White games.
Note: This information comes from either my own mind, my friends', the site Serebii dot net and/or Bulbapedia. In no way this information should be taken as official or confirmed, as they are just speculations made by fans.
