Chapter 38: The Me Day
Amanda's POV; The next morning
"Well good morning . . . long time no see old friend . . .! How have you been doing without me for these last few months huh?"
I turn to my left to see my inner me looking at me with a grin on her face, her legs crossed as she sat on the couch across from my own as she spews out her questions. We were in her own home here in my dreamland, which was basically a complete replica of my loft back in St. Louis. I eye her warily, not sure to make of her sudden reappearance after months of being M.I.A.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asks me with a small frown. "Aren't you excited to see me again after all this time?"
"That's just it . . ." I tell her as I cross my arms. "I am seeing you again . . . for the first time in months. Where have you been all this time?"
"I've been here . . . I've been there . . . I've been everywhere . . ." she tells me cryptically as she shrugs her shoulders. "But mostly . . . I've been in your mind like always . . . I've just been really silent these past few months."
"Why?" I ask her as I raise an eyebrow. "You're usually a lot more vocal in the past then in these past few months. . . Is there something wrong that you're not telling me?"
"No . . . I just needed some time to think through a few things. That's all," She tells me with a small shrug. "With you becoming pregnant and all, I really had to get used to the idea of you not stepping into a wrestling ring for more than a year . . . Man, waiting to get back into the ring is a bitch."
"You can say that again . . ." I say with a small chuckle as I look down at my bump. "I can't wait to be not pregnant again . . . I'm just really itching to get back in front of the WWE Universe and kicking some Diva butt."
". . . But first you have to get into tip top shape missy," says Ana as she looks at me like a stern parent. "There is no way I'm letting you step out into a ring in public with you still carrying around your baby weight . . . We left the ring with an envious body, and we're going to return to the ring with an envious body."
"Hmm . . . now that I think about it, I didn't really need to put on that much baby weight to begin with . . ." I mumble as I look back on the past few months. "If I work out well enough, we should be back in the ring by early next year . . . Hopefully by WrestleMania."
"Wouldn't the WWE Universe just love that . . ." says the Anaconda as she shows off a sharp grin, her canines peeking out from behind her lips in the process. "So . . . you and Randy are going to name the girls Daniela and Gabriella right?"
"That's the plan . . ." I say as I let my hands rest on my bump. "And if we don't want to say their full names, we'll just call them Dani and Gabi for short."
"Hmm . . . Randy's right," mumbles inner me as shakes her head. "That does sound like a tag team name."
"Yeah . . . it kinda does . . ." I say with a shake of my head before looking down at my bump once again. "Just think, in another month or so, I'm going to go through hours of absolutely torturous labor just to birth these two little babies in my womb. . . That's going to be a painful day."
"Yep . . . especially considering it is your first pregnancy after all," says my inner me as she shakes her head knowingly. "Childbirth is one of the most excruciatingly painful moments in a woman's life . . . I hope you're ready for it because I'm not."
"What woman is ready for childbirth?" I ask as I widen my eyes. "You can get as prepared as you want, but you'll certainly get a reality check once the day to give birth comes along."
"That's true . . . that's true," says the Anaconda as she shakes her head. "But enough about your impending due date, let's move on to the here and now shall we . . . Are you still bummed that Randy has decided to place you on hotel arrest, because let me just tell you this. . . If I was in control, I would have slapped the shit out of him as soon as he told me that I was condemned to the hotel like some sort of privileged prisoner."
"I see you have also become a lot more vulgar in the past few months we haven't spoken to each other . . . ." I tell her as with a disapproving shake of my head. "But I know how you feel . . . I don't like the fact that Randy doesn't want me to leave the hotel, but can you blame him? There are hunters approaching the area we're in . . . Hunters who are from the same guild as those hunters that destroyed Bob and Rita's ranch house . . . Who took out some of their neighbors in that same time span might I just add . . . You know as well as I do that those hunters are dangerous, and with me being eight months pregnant and all, I'm better off running and hiding than fighting."
"I hate it when you're right. . . It's annoying, but you're right when you're right. . ." grumbles the Anaconda as we both look to see her pet anaconda Nala slither into the room; coming to a stop once she reaches my leg. "Ah look . . . Nala misses you."
"Ah . . . I missed you too Nala . . ." I say with a smirk as I scratch her head right between her eyes. "I better get going . . . Randy is leaving early this morning to go start filming his movie and I promised him that I would at least try to wake up before he left."
"I get it . . . We'll talk another time . . ." says the Anaconda as she shoots me a small smirk. I shoot one back at her in return before closing them again. Once I slowly open them, the sudden change in surroundings instantly tells me that I was back in the real world. I slide my hand across Randy's side of the bed to see if he was still lying there, but alas, I'll I touched was sheet and not rugged, chiseled, and partially tattooed skin.
"Looking for someone?" I hear him ask from somewhere right behind me. "If it helps, all you have to do is turn around to see me."
"How long have you been up?" I ask groggily as I felt his presence return to the bed, the sound of his slow breathing hitting my ears as I felt his arm wrap around my swollen belly.
"About an hour now . . ." he whispers in my ear before leaving a few feather soft kisses along my neck. "I'm glad you're up . . . Now I can enjoy some company while I eat breakfast."
"I hope you don't expect your company to starve while you eat your breakfast in front of her." I say with a smirk as Randy slowly pulls me up into a sitting position.
"On the contrary, my company needs to eat," he tells me with a small chuckle as he starts to gently pull me out of bed. "C'mon . . . I got room service for the both of us waiting in the other room."
"When do you have to leave?" I ask with a small smirk on my face as I plant my feet on the ground.
"In about an hour . . ." he tells me with a smirk as he leads us out of our room. "That should give me enough time to enjoy breakfast with you before I go out."
"Aw . . ." I say with a chuckle as he leads me out toward the suite's outdoor patio, which had a small table and two chairs as it's only pieces of furniture. As soon as Randy slid the door open, a huge gust of dusty wind hits us in the face as we walk out. "So . . . when will you be back from work anyway?"
"We're filming the daytime scenes first before we move on to the night ones," the Viper tells me with a grin as he pulls out my chair. "So . . . I'll probably be back around late afternoon . . . maybe around dusk most likely."
"What time is it now?" I ask with an eyebrow raised as Randy quickly walks back inside.
"Just after 8:20 . . ." he tells me with a smirk as he walks out with two covered trays in each of his hands. He puts one tray in front of me before sitting down at the other side of the table with the other tray in hand. "I hope you liked what I ordered."
"What exactly did you order anyway?" I ask with a suspicious look in my eyes as I looked at my covered tray.
"Bacon, eggs, pancakes . . . the usual hotel breakfast stuff," he tells me with a shrug before he uncovers his plate, revealing that what was on his plate was most of the stuff he just listed. As soon as I took off the lid covering my plate, I saw that I basically had an exact replica of Randy's own plate. "Is there something wrong with your food?"
"No . . . nothing's wrong." I say with a smirk as I cross my arms at him. ". . . I was just thinking about how I would have reacted if you had gotten me something I didn't like. Would I have not reacted at all . . . or would I have gone all Anaconda on you, that is the question."
"Would you have gone all Anaconda on me if I didn't order you a breakfast that was to your liking?" he asks me with an eyebrow raised, but I can easily hear the small hint of uncertainty as he started to dig into his food.
"Maybe . . ." is all I say as I picked up my fork and stabbed it into my scrambled eggs. ". . . That's all I'm going to say for now."
"Well that's not disconcerting at all . . ." he tells me sarcastically as he shakes his head. "Not disconcerting at all one bit."
"Can you just forget about what I said, eat your food, and enjoy the beautiful scenery that's surrounding us. . ." I say with a smirk as I outstretched my hand toward the landscape. "You need to stay focused for your movie shoot mister."
"I'll try . . ." he tells me as he lets out a loud breath. " . . . But I make no promises."
"Eh . . . at least you're trying," I say with a smirk as I dug into my food. Instead of going into another conversation about some other topic that was related to us, we settled for eating the rest of our breakfast in a comfortable silence, sneaking looks at each other from time to time as we finished our food. "So . . . how are you getting to the shoot anyway? You haven't rented a car yet and you don't like taking taxis if you can help it."
"I'm going to be carpooling with one of my coworkers actually. . ." he tells me with a smirk as he takes up our trays and walks inside, me following right behind him. "The site where we're filming is like an hour away, so most of the cast and crew have decided to just share rides to work."
"Hmm . . . I figured you would have rented a car. You usually like your alone time in between work hours." I say with a smirk as I watch him place the trays out on the hallway floor.
"Yeah . . . I was going to rent a car, but then the people in charge of the movie thought it would be best for everyone if they just share rides with each other till the hunter threat passes . . ." he tells me in defeat. "So I guess my alone time is going to be few and far between . . . So, do you have any plans while I'm gone?"
"Not really . . ." I say as I shake my head. "I may just stay in the suite for most of the day . . . maybe I'll go down to the indoor pool for a swim . . . I have no idea yet."
"If you do plan on going to the pool, can you please send me a picture of you in your swimsuit before you go?" he asks me hopefully as he puts his hands on my shoulders.
"Now why would you want to have a photo of eight months pregnant me in a swimsuit?" I ask with an eyebrow raised as I crossed my arms over my chest.
"I'm going to use it as my personal form of motivation . . ." he tells me with a smirk as he pecks my forehead. "If I'm feeling down or angry, I can just look at the photo you send me to cheer me up."
"Don't you already have photos of me on your phone?" I ask as I shake my head. "Why don't you just look at them if you're down?"
"Eh . . . it's not the same," he tells me with a shrug as he pulls me into his chest. "Actually, I wouldn't be asking this question in the first place if it wasn't for those hunters. You would so be coming with me for the ride. . ."
"You can't get everything you want Randy, and besides . . . you told me that you wanted me to stay in the hotel for my own protection in the first place," I tell him bluntly as I start to push him out the door. "Now get moving or else you'll miss your ride."
"Don't I get a kiss goodbye first?" he asks me disappointedly as he holds on to the doorframe to stop me from pushing him any further. "You know . . . like a good start to my today?"
"I don't know . . ." I say unsurely as I scrunch my eyebrows together. "If I kiss you, you may get second thoughts about leaving me alone for the day while you're off at work."
"I wouldn't do that . . ." he tells me with a chuckle as he leans in for a kiss, his lips landing squarely on mine as I wrapped my arms around his neck while he settled with cupping my cheeks with his hands. Once we finally break apart after who knows how long, he looks at me dreamily before pecking my forehead. "Okay . . . maybe now I'm getting second thoughts."
"Go and film your movie!" I tell him bluntly as I push him out the door. I throw him his key card before shutting the door on him, but he slides his hand in the way before I could complete the task. "What did you forget now?"
"All I wanted to say was have a good day . . ." he tells me with a smirk before sneaking in one more kiss. ". . . And whatever you do, don't you dare go into labor while I'm gone, you hear me?"
"I'll try, but I make no promises . . ." I tell him with a smirk as I lean against the door.
"Stealing my line again? You need to find some new material babe . . ." he tells me with a chuckle as he shakes his head. "I'll see you when I get back."
"Bye . . ." I tell him seductively as I close the door on his wide eyed face. Once I finally heard his footsteps retreating down the hall, I let out a deep breath before turning around to face the suite. Since I basically had the whole place to myself for the day, there was basically one thing that I had to do.
"It's time I take a Me day."
Normal POV; a few hours later
"Hello?" asked Amanda as she answered her phone, the TV showing the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie on screen as a large bowl of popcorn on her lap. "This is Amanda speaking. State your business."
"Well don't you just sound official sis . . ." said the feminine voice on the other side of the line. "Am I interrupting something?"
"Nah, you're not Monica . . ." said Amanda as she shook her head. "I'm just in the middle of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie marathon right now. What about you? How're you doing?"
"I'm doing pretty fine actually . . . I beat Summer Rae in the house show Divas match a little earlier in the day, so I got my fill of Diva ass kicking for the day," said the younger twin as she stated her daily accomplishment. "So . . . are you watching your movie marathon while at the film lot?"
"Nope . . . I'm still here at the hotel," said Amanda as she let out a small sigh. "Randy has decided to place me on 'hotel arrest' because there's an ongoing hunter threat around where we're at. Until the hunters leave the area, I'm basically not allowed to leave the hotel. . . It's like I've been sentenced to stay at a posh prison, to put it simply."
"Which guild are these hunters from exactly?" asked the werewolf twin, her voice sounding both curious and suspicious as she waited for an answer.
"They're from the same guild that's responsible for attacking Rita and Bob's neighborhood up in Montana . . ." said Amanda as she dropped some popcorn into her mouth. "You know . . . the ones that basically blew up their house and killed some of their neighbors?"
"Oh . . . that guild . . . well that sucks," said Monica, her voice very blunt as she spoke her words. "That deters the plans for your baby shower a bit . . . I was thinking of having it at the hotel where you and Randy are staying at, but if those hunters do prove to be a problem, then my idea isn't going to be the best in that situation."
"Yeah . . . probably not," said Amanda as she shook her head. "If you actually allowed me to help you plan the baby shower, then I would have suggested that you hold my baby shower back at our loft in St. Louis. I could just fly back home for the festivities. . . . But then again, Randy still has his movie to do and he does have his case of separation issues to deal with, especially if we're separated by anything that's more than a state line."
"Ooh . . . that boy of yours really does have a bad case of separation issues . . ." said Monica as she let out a small whistle. "I basically have your whole baby shower planned out . . . The location issue is just giving me trouble."
"I bet you'll figure it out sis . . ." said Amanda in a supportive tone of voice. "So . . . how's everyone doing at your end huh?"
"Everyone's doing pretty well actually . . ." said Monica as her voice went all cheerful. "Although Ted did have a vision showing that Sheamus may not be competing at Survivor Series after all due to an injury, and you know the Celtic Warrior isn't too happy about that."
"Knowing him, I wouldn't be surprised to hear about him Brogue kicking the shit out of some doors . . . or an innocent bystander." said Amanda as a thoughtful look came across her face.
"Or drinking down his sorrows at a pub somewhere . . ." added Monica in an agreeable tone. ". . . And speaking of Survivor Series, are you and Randy even going to be in St. Louis that weekend?"
"I'm not sure about Survivor Series, but I'm definitely sure about us being in St. Louis for Thanksgiving this year . . ." said Amanda as she moved her popcorn off to the side. "Now that I think about it, I don't think Randy's scheduled for any WWE shows through December either."
"Well duh . . . That would make sense since you're basically due any time now . . ." said the younger twin in a matter of fact tone. Amanda could easily imagine her shaking her fedora wearing head at her right this minute. "We both know that Randy is a man who loves being in the ring practically every week, but with you giving birth to his twins, my nieces, in only a matter of time, you know he'll definitely take time off to be with you and the girls."
"Yeah . . . I guess you're right . . . and just in time for Christmas too," said Amanda with a small chuckle. "I don't care what you're going to get me for Christmas; the birth of my twins will definitely be the top gift this year hands down."
"Glad to know your expectations for your Christmas gifts this year . . . I'll make sure to tell everyone you said that once I meet up with them," said Monica as her voice took on a blunt edge. "By the way, speaking of your pregnancy, have you been feeling any other pregnancy symptoms so far sis?"
"I still crave Randy's blood from time to time and I sometimes feel a little nausea from time to time, but overall, my pregnancy has gone really well . . ." said Amanda as she rubbed her hand across her big baby bump. "It's childbirth that I'm worried about. . . It's supposed to be very painful, especially for vampires."
"Even vampires feel pain during childbirth?" asked Monica, her voice carrying a hint of shock. "I guess labor pains know no bounds."
"Yeah . . . childbirth is going to be a bitch, but it'll definitely be worth it in the end sis . . ." said Amanda as she wrapped her free arm around her bump. "I just can't wait to hold my little girls in my arms . . . The wait is starting to kill me."
"Hey . . . you've waited for eight months already. A few more weeks isn't going to kill ya . . . You're immortal anyway," said Monica in a matter of fact tone. "And besides . . . it'll be worth the wait in the end."
"I know, I know . . . I shouldn't be getting so impatient, and I'm usually the patient one . . ." mumbled the Anaconda as she shook her head.
"Hey . . . when is Randy supposed to finish filming his movie anyway?" Monica suddenly asked her twin.
"The people behind the movie have decided to speed up production of the film due to the Hunter threat, but it's still going to take at least a couple of weeks to finish," answered Amanda as she shrugged her shoulders. "Why do you ask?"
"Oh . . . no reason," said Monica as her voice went all sweet. ". . . I'll see you soon sis okay?"
"Alright . . . bye," said Amanda before hanging up on her end, her eyes narrowing in suspicion as she did so "Now what could my sister be up to. . ."
