A/N: A new chapter! Not as amusing as the previous ones, in my opinion, but still fun to write. Thank you for your support! :D
Warning: This shipping/story may be considered gross and/or emotionally disturbing. I completely agree. Read at your own risk.
I also don't intend to offend anyone, I only want to entertain.

Story according to me plus interruptions by the characters
They were like fire and ice, and so their love story could only end in tears.
"Oh… that sounds quite sad."
"Huh… who cares."
"You! What are you doing here?! You should be in prison, or dead!"
"Believe me, puny Gym Leader, I have no wish to be here, listening to a whiny love story. Pathetic."
"I challenge you-"
Ladies, ladies, please. Keep the peace for the moment.
"Peace?! How can I stay peaceful with her around, with that ruthless, evil-"
Flannery, please, behave.
"Yes, Flannery, behave…"
"Shut up, you!"
So, continuing on…
The first time J had seen the girl, she had been hardly more than a child. Passionate, wild, uncontrollable – very much like the Fire types she trained. It was with both contempt and fascination that she watched, for how could someone care so little about themselves, yet be so passionate about others?
It was a true mystery to her.
And so J continued to watch her, always returning back to Hoenn between missions, to see the girl grow into a young woman, watching her going from fiery and passionate to a bit more hesitant, a bit more careful as responsibilities piled on her slim shoulders.
She was truly beautiful.
"Gag."
Flannery had known someone had been watching her. And for some reason, it didn't bother her as much as it should.
"For some reason? Plot convenience, you mean."
"Undoubtedly."
"Shut up, I don't want to hear your comments."
It made her feel safe, secure, it gave her a reason to continue being the best person she could try to be, to show how much she had grown, how much she had improved.
And then, all of sudden, the presence disappeared.
"Good riddance. Mew, that's creepy."
The person, the ghost that had accompanied her for so many years, was gone. Flannery tried to reason with herself, tried to tell herself that it was for the better, but honestly, how could she, when it felt like had left a hole in her very soul?
"Mew, so melodramatic. I'm nothing like that."
"Pathetic."
"I said shut up!"
Then, one day, it was back. She was back. Flannery had not been prepared for the sudden assault of emotions that raged through her, had not expected the pure, undiluted happiness that filled her.
"Oh dear Arceus, please make it stop."
Because there she was. Unexpected, uninvited, but oh so welcome.
"You…" Flannery's voice trembled.
The blue eyes – once so filled with ice, but now blue like a calm river – stared back at her. J had always been ice, ice and steel, grey and blue, unrelenting, cold, but even she couldn't fight against the fire, the fire that had melted her.
"Flannery…" J whispered, her voice breaking. How could she ever explain the magnitude of the emotions that were raging through her?
A trembling hand was raised to her face, and the older woman closed her eyes, enjoying the feel of the pure innocence and warmth that caressed her skin, hesitantly and gently.
"…Disregarding how sickening that situation is…"
"Are you able to disregard it, then?"
"Barely. Now, shut up. The prose is also chockfull of adjectives and adverbs: purple prose if I've ever seen it."
"I shouldn't love you…" Flannery whispered, and J's eyes flew open. The woman's face was much closer than it had been before, and with startling clarity J realized what the other was about to do.
"But I do," the younger woman finished, and pressed her lips to J's. After several disbelieving moments, J allowed her eyes to flutter shut. When they finally parted for breath, the grey-haired woman couldn't help but smile.
"I love you, too."
"What in the name of…?"
Their story should've ended in tears, but apparently fate had a happier ending for them in mind.
The end.
Story according to the characters
Flannery: What in the name of what?
Hunter J: Huh…
Flannery: Huh indeed! That… didn't even make sense! 'Fate had a happier ending for them in mind'? The writer just wanted a happy ending! It was like, you were stalking me, I knew that but didn't mind, you disappeared, we met again, and we both loved each other. How would that ever work?!
Hunter J: I'm not going to pretend to care about a pathetic story like this.
Flannery: Shut up, I said! But okay, fine, whatever. This was horrible. That's my opinion on this story, I told you it, and now I'm leaving. I have a Gym to look after!
Hunter J: And I'm sure you're doing it just wonderful.
Flannery: Oh, thanks- Wait, that was sarcasm, wasn't it?! You-

A/N: Thank you for reading! This one… not too sure about it, but hey, whatever. Reviews are always welcome!
Thank you!
Extra (useless) info: Deflagration is a term describing subsonic combustion propagating through heat transfer; hot burning material heats the next layer of cold material and ignites it. Most "fire" found in daily life, from flames to explosions, is deflagration (source: Wikipedia). This term could refer to Flannery's Fire type specialization.
