Hey everyone, I'm back once again. School's winding down and I'm mostly focusing on my final projects and stuff. I'm just letting you all know that I haven't given up on this story. It might be a while before I can post anything more, but I'll do my best.

EDIT: 6/1/2014 - Yeah, lately I haven't been able to think of anything good for my chapters. So as I'm typing this I'm gonna be rewatching TWD S2.

Also on a side note: this is the worst summer ever. Why? The Walking Dead doesn't come back on until FALL! UGH!

EDIT: 8/17/2014 - I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been able to post a chapter all summer. I feel bad.

11/2/2014 Holy... Has it really been THAT LONG since I started writing this chapter? I feel so bad right now for making you guys wait. Especially since I've gotten at LEAST half a dozen followers on this story since last time I posted something.

1/12/2015 I'm gonna try to crank out at least another chapter. Hopefully soon. I've got 2 part time jobs, gonna be starting school again in a week, but hey I guess that's life.

2/25/2015 School's started, and I'll find time to work on this thing.

3/22/2015 Ugh. Why can't I focus on this thing?

7/3/2015 Holy jezuz. It's been over a YEAR since I last wrote this?

8/27/2015 I honestly have little excuse. Other than the fact I'm working two jobs and now that school's starting up... again. FML

Suddenly Takeo stiffens up, and the other soldiers halt when a single shot echoes through the air. Even Sophia stops moving, a look of confusion in her eyes.

"I got a bad feeling about that shot guys," Tank comments. Takeo lifts his hands up for silence, cocking his head to the side for a moment. "This way." He cries out, dashing through the forest, his katana swiftly cutting down undergrowth. The Russian and German follow while Tank picks up Sophia and rushes after the Japanese warlord.

"Tak man, wait up!" He barks out, combat boots clomping on the dirt as he rushes after his other companions.

Rick runs through the woods and field, arms carrying his injured son; Carl Grimes. Behind him is officer Shane with a shotgun in his hands, and behind him is Otis, puffing after them with a hunting rifle. The young Grime's body bounces in Rick's arms as the officer dashes through the field, adrenaline pumping through his system.

"Come on, get a move on shithead!" Shane would bark to Otis as he falls behind. Rick turns around to the hunter.

"How far? How far?!" He cries out, anger on his face.

"About half a mile... Hershel." Otis pants, motioning forward. "Talk to Hershel. He'll help your boy." Officer Grimes doesn't look back as he dashes onward. Grunts escape his gritted teeth, his body begging for him to rest but his will ordering him onward. Whenever he feels like he'll stop or collapse, he takes a look down at the boy in his arms. As the father nears the white farm house, a group of people would come out the front door.

"Was he bit?"

"Shot. By your man Otis." Rick responds, rushing up towards the house, panting and sweating from the run. "Your man... He shot my boy..."

"He said to find Hershel. Is that you?" He looks towards the elderly man on the porch with pleading eyes. "Help me. Help my boy."

"Get him inside." Hershel barks out, opening the door for the officer. Inside the farm man begins rolling up his sleeves as Rick carries his son towards a bed. "Patricia, I need my full kit. Maggie, painkillers, coagulates, grab everything. Clean towels, sheets, alcohol."

"Is-is he alive?" Rick stammers, looking at his boy in shock as Hershel continues to bark out orders.

"Pillowcase. Pillowcase, quick."

"Fold it- Make a pad."

"Put pressure on the wound." Hershel has a stethoscope on his ears, pressing it gently against the boy's stomach. "I've got a heartbeat- It's faint." He announces to Rick and his helpers.

"Step back."

"Maggie, IV."

"We need some space." Hershel turns to the sheriff and looks him in his worried eyes.

"Your name?" Rick looks from his boy to the elderly man addressing him.

"R-Rick." He answers, swallowing hard. "I'm-I'm-I'm Rick."

"Rick, we're gonna do everything we can, okay? You need to give us some room." Hershel says calmly, gently nudging the man away from the makeshift hospital bed. "Now." Rick takes one more look at his only child before he slowly walks outside, his outfit soaked in blood.

"He's alive?" Otis asks as he and Shane finally make it to the house. "He's still alive?"

Rick feels like he's lost his voice for a moment, still coming to terms with what's happened. Finally he speaks. "Okay. It's okay."

"Find a highway at the edge of a forest. How hard can that be?" Tank wonders aloud as the group stops in the woodland, still without luck of finding a highway. Or any sort of road for that matter.

"I agree with Tank. It feels like we're walking around in fucking circles. Making Nikolai dizzy." The Russian comments as he'd stumble forwards. The others look at him.

"Well maybe it's because you've been walking around the SAME tree for the past TEN FUCKING MINUTES!" Tank barks out from his seat on a rock. It was funny the first few times but then it just got fucking annoying as hell. That makes the Russian stop; first looking at the tree, then at the worn ground, up at the tree once more, the ground. Tree, ground, tree, ground, vodka, ground, tree, ground.

"Fuck you tree. And fuck you too Tank." He cries out to cover up his embarrassment, taking a drink of his beloved alcohol.

"Ugh. Yeah yeah, love ya too buddy." the marine replies, rubbing his face with one hand. The marine would be the one in charge of keeping an eye on Sophia since Takeo was working on cutting up the forest, Richtofen is still crazy, and Nikolai... Nikolai was being Nikolai. So the most bad ass mother fucker of them all has to babysit the little girl.

"Easy Dempsey... Remember, you're not fighting the bone-junkies anymore, your life isn't in any immediate danger, you're just lost in the woods with an idiot, a crazy and a silent samurai. And a lost little girl." He sighs. "Alright guys, let's keep moving." The marine gets to his feet as the group begins to carry on, making sure Nikolai is going in the right direction this time.

Is it just me or does it feel like this chapter seems a bit... poor quality? I'm not sure if it's because I haven't written anything in months or what. Anyhow please forgive me for this but there's a good chance I won't be updating this fic anytime soon, school and work and all.
