Again, it's late and I'm to tired to do the full edit... I don't think there's anything major, but if there is, don't hesitate to tell me and I'll fix it.
Happy Monday
A few hours later, Feliciano awoke, groggy. He sat up, holding his head and groaning softly, his skull having banged into the ground when he fell.
'What the hell happened….?' he wondered ideally. He pushed himself to his feet and stumbled to the door, then tugged on the handle. Finding it locked, he growled softly in irritation.
Hearing the growl, Ludwig, who had been moved into the room with him, forced his eyes opened, then croaked out. "Fe…. Feliciano….? Is… that you?"
Hearing the weak voice, Feliciano's eyes widened and he spun around. "Ludwig?" He moved slowly towards the other. "What's happened to you? How did you get so… ill?"
"I…. I'm not sure…." Ludwig answered in a weak tone. "I think… that Arthur mentioned something about the bond… but I couldn't hear the rest of it." Se closed his eyes for a second as a series of thuds sounded a few rooms away. "How… how are you? Where did you go? What happened?"
Feliciano inched closer. "I don't know what's going on, but I'm going to get you out of here. I swear sir. I'll fight everyone in this goddamned place if I need to."
Ludwig's brow deepened as he looked at Feliciano confused. "'Sir'?" Feliciano… what… why are you talking like this…?"
The Italian stared for a moment, then managed a chuckle. "I see. You're testing me. I understand, sir. I am to address you as 'sir' at all times. Which reminds me, I'm sorry for using your name before. I was just surprised. It won't happen again." Feliciano shifted from foot to foot nervously, as though expecting to be reprimanded or struck.
However, the vampire remained confused. "I… I don't understand…. I've never made you call me sir…"
Feliciano's expression morphed from concerned to outright terrified. He quickly closed the distance between Ludwig and himself and placed a hand on the other's forehead. "Maybe you should try to sleep, sir. You're confused and not thinking straight. I'll get us out of here and find the captain and my brother. You just relax okay?"
"…. Feliciano? What... year is it?"
Feliciano blinked. "It's 1685, sir."
"Feliciano…. It's 2014. You should know that."
The Italian shook his head. "No, that isn't right. I checked the date right when we entered the port town."
"We're... not IN a port right now… I think we're in Yao's shop… the back area…."
Feliciano looked around them and growled. "So they have kidnapped us."
"They did NOT kidnap us…" Ludwig sighed, now feeling a bit stronger. "Feliciano… what happened to you? This isn't how you are."
"Yes, it is. You are the one who is different, sir." Feliciano walked over and sat beside him. "Very different."
"Nein. I'm not…."
"Sir, please, just lay back down. I'll break us out of here and get us back to the Delphinus. We can get the medic to look at you there. We need you, you're our navigator. The rest of the crew has to be waiting for you."
"Feliciano… that's in the past… There is no Delphinus anymore… Please believe me."
"Yes, there is. We just got off the damn thing less than two hours ago."
"What do I have to say to convince you?" The German sighed.
Feliciano stood up. "Obviously, you aren't well. I'll bust us out and find someone to examine your head." He went to the door and sized it up. "It might take a minute, but I think I can break it down."
"… Nein. You shouldn't do that Feliciano." Ludwig said in a hard tone of voice.
The Italian paused and looked back. "Sir?"
"You're not to leave this room. Do you understand me?"
Taking a step back from the door, Feliciano nodded. "Yes, sir."
"Good. Now come sit back down. Now." Ludwig ordered inwardly feeling guilty at having to treat the Italian this way.
Feliciano did not appear offended. He did as Ludwig said, returning to his side and sitting down.
"Er…. What's the last thing you remember?"
"We just started walking back towards the ship when this tornado thing sucked us up and spit us out in that weird room with all those people."
Ludwig frowned in consideration. "Hm… I see…. And.. er… how many of them do you recognize?"
"Gilbert and Francis," he answered instantly, then hesitated. "But... all of them see familiar."
"Hmm… I see…"
"Why is that, sir?"
"Er…. It's a little bit hard to explain…."
Feliciano nodded, leaving the topic at that, having learned better than to continue with persistent questions. That usually only earned him a punch.
"…. How… how are you? Right now?"
"I am perfectly fine, sir. You don't have to worry about me."
"Er….. alright… if you say so….."
Feliciano sighed a little and leaned back against the wall, staring up at the ceiling. "How long do you suppose they will keep us in here?" he asked softly, already feeling boredom clawing at his mind. He didn't like being in small spaces for long.
"I'm not really sure…."
The werewolf frowned.
"Well… is there anything you want to talk about….? As… er… a distraction?"
"No, sir."
Ludwig sighed and nodded then went to say something as the door started to open.
In a different room, Lovino who happened to wake up as well, stumbled to the door as he started kicking it a few times (him being the source of the thuds Ludwig and Feliciano had heard) until he stumbled back cursing. "Fucking assholes! And where's my fucking sword! Let me out of here unless you want your damn throat slit!"
Antonio awoke from the banging. "L… Lovi…?" he called softly. "Mi querido? Is that you…?" He struggled for a moment to sit up. Unable to, he laid on the bed, trying to turn his head at a angle that would allow him to see the other.
Lovino froze at the sound then slowly looked over. "C-Captain…?" He stuttered then swallowed. "What the hell happened to you? Shit! Is there a fucking munity with the crew or something?! A-And the assholes are going to maroon you now?! I'll fucking slaughter them all for the very thought!"
"Muntiy…? What are you talking about…?" the Spaniard murmured.
"What do you think I'm fucking talking about?!" Lovino snapped then flinched as he looked down. "I-I'm sorry sir…. I didn't think before I spoke… I'm sorry for talking back and raising my voice to you….. you may punish me if you wish to…. I only acted out of concern for your safety captain."
Antonio struggled to sit up. "Mi Lovi, w-what are you talking about…? What's happening…?"
"… you were probably attacked. It fucked up your brain and messed with your memories." Lovino muttered as he reached out and helped Antonio sit up. "You're the captain of the Delphinus! Terror of the seas! R-Remember now….?"
"Lovi, that was, like, three hundred years ago..." Antonio mumbled, holding onto his boyfriend weakly.
"No it wasn't! You're the captain right now! Why can't you remember that?!"
Antonio looked up at him. "Because that was a long time ago. I haven't stepped on a ship in... two hundred or so years..."
Lovino stared back at him then looked away. "Fuck…. They fucked with your mind…. I'll fucking kill them for it."
"Lovi, don't kill anyone, I'm fine, really!" The Spaniard's strength was beginning to return and he held the Italian's hand. "Come and sit with me for a bit?" he requested.
Lovino frowned but nodded and sat down. "We can't stay here sir. We have to escape as soon as we can. And I'm sure Feliciano's held hostage by these assholes too."
"Those 'assholes' are our friends, querido..."
"Those betrayers are no friends of mine…" Lovino snarled with a gold tint to his eyes.
"Lovi... Please..."
"I can't sir. I can't trust those asshole ever again."
"Yes, you can. If I can trust them, then you can." Antonio pushed himself onto his feet, still a little shaky and weak. He resorted to the only thing he thought would work. Pretending to be his old self. "Do you think you are to good to have the same friends as me?"
At the tone Lovino flinched and looked down. "N-No…. Of course not sir…."
"Good. Now get up."
Lovino quickly jumped to his feet.
"Come stand in front of me."
The Italian darted in front of him and stood there.
Antonio leaned down slightly, locking eyes with the other, his usually soft expression hard. "You're going to go sit in that corner, and you are not going to to attack anyone should they open the door. Do you understand?"
Lovino opened his mouth to retort then thought better of it and nodded, making his way over to the corner. "… yes sir…."
"Lovino, tell me. What's the last thing you remember doing?"
"Heading back to the ship after Feliciano got into yet another bar brawl. Damn brat didn't leave a single bastard for me. And that's after I shared some of the shit I pickpocketed with him too. Ungrateful brat." Lovino huffed.
"What happened right before you got here?"
"I don't know…. Some weird ass tornado showed up and sucked us into it."
"Hmm..."
Lovino raised an eyebrow. "Something wrong sir?"
"No, no, I'm just thinking is all."
Lovino nodded and looked away, not wanting to press the issue.
Antonio watched him, then walked to his side, knelled down, reached out and patted his back gently. "How are you doing? Do you need anything?" he asked.
"No sir. I'm fine. Do you need me to get something for you?" Lovino asked looking slightly confused at the pat.
"No, I'm fine, Lovi. Let's just wait here for a while, si?" Antonio suggested.
"…. Si…" Lovino muttered. "…. May I ask you something sir?"
The Spaniard looked at him.
"You seem… different… now that I really think about it… like you're another person in a way…. Why is that?"
Antonio stared at him for a moment, then spoke. "No more questions."
Lovino flinched and curled back. "S-Sorry sir… It was beyond my place to speak… you should reprimand me…."
Antonio opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off when the door suddenly opened.
