As the two got closer, they could see the fight was even more intense than it had first appeared. Five groups were going at it at once, none of them holding anything back. Blood was splattered across the concrete, many of the fighters sported injuries ranging from bruises to broken bones, and a few just lay on the ground unconscious.
Feliciano grabbed onto Ludwig's arm and curled into his side as though frightened by the violence, even letting out a little whimper, though he was watching closely and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. After all, he loved a good brawl.
Ludwig scowled as he held Feliciano close, gently rubbing the Italian's arm as he began to lead Feliciano away from the fight to keep him from getting involved and getting hurt, completely unaware of the fact that Feliciano WANTED to fight.
"W-Wait, sir-um, I-I mean Luddy... S-Shouldn't we stop them?" the little Italian asked, his voice trembling in what could be read as fear, but was simply anticipation. "T-They might kill each other..."
"Ja. But we might also get in trouble if we do it ourselves. We should call the police."
"L-Luddy... please..." Feliciano whimpered, looking up at him with tear filled eyes.
"Nein, Feliciano. Now come on."
The Italian began to cry. Loudly. This attracted the attention of the crowd, the fights pausing for a moment to see who was stealing their thunder.
Clamping his hand over Feliciano's, Ludwig held on as he started leading Feliciano away.
It was not to be. The pair was instantly surrounded by roughed up fighters, all of them glaring solely on the the two.
Seeing a open spot, Ludwig shoved Feliciano towards it before getting ready to fight himself.
Feliciano took the opportunity presented to him. As he was shoved forward, he through out his arms, clothes lining two of the fighters. They gagged and collapsed as their wind pipes were hit hard.
Ludwig didn't notice as another fighter ran up to him, causing him to dodge, then punch the guy in the face, dropping him in a instant.
The Italian smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Alright, bitches~. Who wants to go next~?"
One of the fighting groups attacked him. All of them. At once. They didn't stand a chance.
The first one to reach him was grabbed by the throat and hoisted into the air with one hand. As he choked, Feliciano threw him hard, knocking the legs from under two others. He punched another in the face and there was the sound of a bone breaking and a pained screamed. Another became the victim of a hard kick to the stomach, knocking the wind out of him and forcing him onto his knees. Feliciano laughed sardonically, overjoyed and idly wondered if any of them would even manage to land a blow.
When the fight was over, Ludwig glared at Feliciano as he stalked over and grabbed him by the back of his shirt. "You didn't just want to go for a walk. Did you?"
Feliciano whined and struggled. "Get off! Leave me be! They started it, I just finished it, sir!" he cried.
"Feliciano," Ludwig ordered in a hard tone. "Tell me the truth."
The Italian stopped and looked at the ground. "I... It was partially true... I didn't know this was happening..."
"… Alright. I believe you."
The werewolf looked up. "Y-You do?" he asked, looking hesitant and frightened.
Ludwig nodded. "Ja. I do." He sighed. "But we should get back now before we get into more trouble. Come on." Then he started leading Feliciano away.
Antonio, who was feeling completely refreshed and back to normal, bounced down the stairs and into the kitchen just as Ludwig and Feliciano left. "Lovi~!" he chirped. "What do you want to do today?"
Lovino glanced over at him and shrugged. "I guess go for a walk, sir. Seems alright outside for that. Then we can find something to do then."
"Sure~! Oh! I know! Let's go to the movies!" the Spaniard squealed excitedly. It had been so long since he'd taken his sweet Lovi on a date!
Lovino blinked then nodded as he headed to the door then started walking out after waiting for Antonio.
As the pair began to walk towards the theater, Antonio gently took the Italian's hand in his, whistling brightly and slowly swinging their arms back and forth.
Lovino flinched at the touch and carefully shifted his hand free then settled for simply walking, at least until the two pasted a man and woman who Lovino stealthily pickpocketed as he passed them.
"Loviiiiii!" Antonio whined. "Let me hold your hand." He crossed his arms and pouted.
"Can't, sir," Lovino quietly hissed back. "I'm working." He calmly waited before pickpocketing another passer-byer, this time in full view of Antonio but unknown to others around them.
The Spaniard's eyes widened and he grabbed the Italian's wrists as he went for a third. "No! Don't do that!"
Lovino jumped in surprise then stared at Antonio with wide eyes as he tried to pull his arms away. "L-Let go!"
"Absolutely not!" Antonio held onto Lovino and pulled him from the sidewalk and off to the side. "Do NOT steal!"
"B-But you… you were proud when I did that before! Y-You said I was the best on the ship!"
"Lovi, Lovi," Antonio whispered softly, gently placing a hand of each side of the Italian's face and locking eyes with him. "Your talents are very impressive, but you can't steal from these people, okay? You'll get caught and I don't want that to happen. Promise me you won't steal anymore."
Lovino blinked then held his head down in shame and nodded. "Y-Yes, sir… I promise…" Then, after a awkward pause, he mumbled, "S-Sir….? Are you… mad at me now….?"
"No, I'm not mad, Lovi." The Spaniard smiled. "You just worried me is all."
"…. Worried? What do you mean?"
"I was worried someone would see you. If you were seen stealing, you would have been arrested, and if you were arrested, you would have gone to jail." While technically not entirely true, Antonio didn't want to try and reexplain the entire due process, so he stuck with the shortened version.
"I would've broken out," The Italian muttered under his breath.
"Lovi, you said you were remembering. But I can tell that you don't remember everything. The jails now are not what they were back then. You wouldn't have broken out. Please just trust me."
"…. Fine. If you say so, sir."
Antonio smiled brightly. "Good. Now let's hurry and get to the theater before the movie starts~!" he said, grabbing Lovino's hand and taking off.
Feliciano and Ludwig walked silently along, an awkwardness filling the air that neither knew how to break. The Italian walked staring at the ground and looking at everything that wasn't Ludwig, in fear that the German teen would suddenly turn on him should he dare to make eye contact.
"Er…. Is… everything alright…?" Ludwig asked awkwardly.
Feliciano jumped, surprised by the sudden address. "Y-Yes sir," he said quickly, folding his hand behind his back.
Ludwig raised an eyebrow. "You…. know you don't have to be so formal with me… right…? You can be yourself."
"W-What do you mean, sir? I am being m-myself." To himself, he whispered, "Not that you seem to actually like me being myself…."
The German sighed and dragged a hand down his face. "Feliciano… that was how my PAST self was like and you know it… so please just act how YOU want to act and don't let me or anyone else stop you."
The Italian stared for a moment, then punched Ludwig's arm hard.
Ludwig grunted, then rubbed the spot where he had been hit. "What was that for?" he asked.
Feliciano squinted his eyes in confusion. He raised his fist to strike again.
Ludwig caught the fist at the last second. But before he could ask what he was doing, Lovino, who happened to be walking down the sidewalk with Antonio behind them, beat him to it. "Feliciano, what the fuck are you doing? Getting in another damn brawl again?"
"I don't know, what are you doing, sticky fingers?" the younger twin retorted, forgetting to take his hand back from the vampire.
Lovino glanced warily at Antonio then rolled his eyes at Feliciano. "Watching a certain dipshit who I know for a fact went out and mashed some bastard's damn brains in for the fun of it."
Deeming Feliciano distracted, Ludwig carefully let go and made his way over to Antonio yet, remained close enough to Feliciano in case he needed to grab him. "Er…. What is Feliciano talking about…?"
Antonio frowned a little and whispered, "I caught Lovi pickpocketing."
"Seriously? Why was he doing it?"
"Because taking their stuff is sooooo much better. And don't pretend you don't like a good fight," Feliciano shot back.
Lovino smirked, then held up a very familiar looking wallet. "You tell me," He taunted.
Before Antonio could answer, Feliciano let out a furious howl and snarled, "Give that back, you dick!" He jumped at his twin, eyes glowing, claws and teeth ready.
Ludwig jumped forward and caught the pissed Italian as Lovino took a step back away, now laughing his ass off while holding the wallet up in a very taunting way.
Feliciano screeched and howled, fighting Ludwig's hold.
The German vampire continued to hold on to him, but gentle enough not to hurt the werewolf.
Antonio, meanwhile, snuck up behind Lovino and took the wallet from him.
"! W-What the hell was that for, sir?!" Lovino exclaimed, shock written all over his face. "It's just Feliciano!"
"Lovi, let's not send him into a murderous rampage in public, okay?" Antonio said firmly, but gently.
Seeing Lovino no longer had his wallet but the captain, Feliciano stopped fighting, but his narrowed eyes showed he was still seething.
"…. Yes, sir," Lovino mumbled as he looked away, then added under his breath. "I'll just do it later then…."
"Just leave him alone and don't purposefully aggravate him, okay, querido?" Antonio rephrase.
Lovino stared at him blankly. "But it's fun, sir."
"Don't do it."
Lovino pouted but nodded.
Antonio kissed the werewolf's forehead, then moved closer to Feliciano and held out the wallet. "Here, Feli," he said.
Feliciano growled out a thank you and took it.
"Damn brat getting his fucking way…" Lovino muttered under his breath.
Antonio heard him. "It's not getting his way, Lovi. The wallet is his, so I returned it to him."
"What about his damn brawling?"
"What about your pickpocketing?"
"It's… a life skill dammit!"
The Spaniard smiled. "Oh, it is?"
Lovino nodded enthusiastically. "Si! It is!"
"Explain how."
"Uh… I… uh….. It's quick money whenever you need it?"
"But we don't need it right now, querido. And what happens if you pickpocket someone who doesn't have much money to begin with?" Antonio asked, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow, still smiling.
Lovino shrugged in reply. "Then it's their own damn fault for carry it like that. If they're that fucking stupid, they deserve to have it stolen."
"Lovi, you promised you wouldn't steal anymore."
"I did. But I mean with someone else, sir."
"You never know someone's story, Lovi. They could need that money to buy medicine for a sick child or food for a starving infant. Appearances are deceiving."
Lovino stared at Antonio before saying. "You…. look disappointed about something, sir. Something with me…. I can see it all over your face."
"I do?" Antonio blinked, then waved it away. "It's nothing, Lovi, don't worry."
"… if you're sure….."
"I'm sure, querido."
"You pissed at me?"
"Of course not, querido," The vampire assured, smiling at him.
Meanwhile, Feliciano was still in Ludwig's arms, not feeling any hurry to leave.
Lovino blinked then looked down. "….. I can remember more now…. Are…. we unable to be fixed…?"
Antonio wrapped his arms and pulled him close. "Of course you can be fixed, Lovi. I'll make sure of it. I promise."
"….. it… sounds like a pretty big promise sir….."
"And I intend to keep it."
"…. Grazie."
"Er….. Feliciano…..?" Ludwig asked.
The younger twin looked up. "Y-Yes, sir?"
"Are… er… is there anything you want to do? Together…? Without fighting and pickpocketing, of course…."
A dark blush coated Feliciano's face. "W-With me?" he squeaked.
Ludwig blinked and nodded. "Ja…. Why wouldn't we? We…. are dating after all…"
The blush lit up the Italian's face and he gawked at the German teen. "W-W-We…? A-As in, y-you and m-me…?"
"Er…. Ja…." Ludwig answered confused.
Feliciano covered his face and a high pitched squeal sounded from him.
"! F-Feliciano?!"
The Italian jumped on the vampire, hugging him tightly, continuing to squeal.
At the sound, Lovino growled and launched himself at Ludwig, ready to rip his throat out.
Antonio's reflexes kicked in and he wrapped his arms around Lovino's waist, holding him tight and laughing. "Say, Ludwig, how about a double date?" he asked brightly.
Ludwig blinked a few times. "Er…. I suppose we could. But where would we go?"
"The movies is where Lovi and I had been heading, Does that work for you?" he asked, chuckling as he watched Feliciano clinging to his newly refound boyfriend.
Ludwig looked down at Feliciano and nodded.
"Then let's go~!"
