Chapter 50: A Playful Morning
Amanda's POV
"Good morning baby . . ." I hear Randy whisper in my ear as I felt his chest press into my back, making the fact that neither of us were wearing any clothes that much more apparent. I slowly open my eyes and look up to see Randy's face hovering only inches away from mine, a smile his defining feature right at this moment.
"Good morning to you too . . ." I say with a smirk in return as I turn around in his grip so that we were now chest to chest. "Had a good night's rest babe?"
"Yep . . ." he tells me with a chuckle as I feel his arm wrap snugly around my waist in order to bring us as close as possible. "I was quite tuckered out after last night's activities baby, but it was well worth it."
"Oh yeah, I definitely remember last night . . ." I say with a chuckle as I let my hands rest on his well sculpted chest. "And let me just say this: I never saw you act like you did last night before during our previous nights in the sack. It was quite surprising Mr. . . . . It's like you were holding out on me."
"I thought I'd spice things up a little . . . I can be quite full of surprises when I want to be babe," he tells me confidently as I nuzzle his neck a little. "Would you be interested in an early morning encore?"
"Hmm . . . that does sound promising . . ." I say with a smirk as the sounds of one of the girls crying instantly gets my attention. "But duty calls Ran. You understand don't you?"
"Yes I do . . ." he tells me with a grin as I feel his arm leave my waist. "Go to them babe. I'll be waiting right here if you need me."
"Good to know . . ." I say with a smirk as I grab his shirt and slip it on my frame. He lets out a whistle as I depart the bed and I quickly model his shirt for him before going into the nursery to see Gabi already crying for her breakfast while Dani was looking around everywhere with curious eyes. Both of them were wearing their noise canceling headphones because Randy put them on their ears so that they wouldn't end up listening to us 'having fun' in the room next door. "Alright Gabi, I'm here. I'm here."
I gently pick Gabi up from the crib and walk with her in my arms to the rocking chair. Once I'm seated, I pull down my shirt and breastfeed Gabi till she has her complete fill. Once she was done, I burp her until all the excess air was out of her and return her to the crib before picking up Dani to do the same process with her. Once I was finished the routine with Dani, I put her back in her crib next to her sister and walk back to my room to see Randy still lying in bed with the covers on top of him, looking at something on his phone.
"What are you doing?" I ask him curiously as I crawl back into bed and slide under the covers next to him.
"I'm looking at the weather forecast for this afternoon . . ." he tells me with a shrug as he puts down his phone. "I have to fly back to New Mexico to finish filming my movie, remember?"
"Now I do, thanks to you reminding me . . ." I mumble with a small scowl as I let Randy pull me in closer to his body. "When is filming supposed to end again?"
"Just for a few more days . . ." he tells me with a strong shake of his head. "I'm supposed to start filming my final scenes tomorrow afternoon. It's supposed to take about another three to four days to complete. Once that's done, that'll be the end for me and I can fly back here to be with you guys here at home."
"Have the hunters been giving you guys trouble during filming?" I ask him with an eyebrow raised as I feel his hand slide across my bare ass.
"Nah . . . the hunters left the area a week and a half ago. It's been peaceful ever since," he tells me with a grin. "Damn babe, I wish you were there for filming. You would have loved seeing me in action."
"Yeah, sorry I can't make it. I have our twins to take care of," I say with a smirk as I let my hand fall on his bicep. "Are there any scenes that I should be specifically looking forward to when I watch this flick?"
"Just be ready for the action scenes. They're the best part." he tells me with a grin as he pecks my nose.
"Is that what the movie just going to be comprised of?" I ask with a shake of my head. "What? They're no romance scenes in it?"
"Well . . . if you want to find out if there are any romantic scenes in the movie, you're just going to have to watch the movie yourself to find out," he tells me with that mischievous smirk of his as he pecks my nose. "I'm not going to spoil it for you."
"Aw, come on . . . Do you at least kiss somebody in the movie?" I ask with a small pout. "I'm just curious . . ."
"Like I said before 'Manda: You're just going to have to watch the movie to find out the answers for yourself," Randy tells me with a smirk as he removes the sheets from his very sexy, and very naked, body. "But I'll say this. I am in love with you, and only you 'Manda, and no one is going to get in the way with that, not even some actress that's supposed to play my love interest on screen okay? You're the one that I care about on a romantic level, no one else, just you baby."
"Thanks for telling me that babe . . ." I tell him with a small smile. "That really puts my mind at ease."
"You're welcome baby . . ." he tells me as he pecks my lips. "Now, why don't you take my shirt off so we could start Round 2 hmm?"
"You have a very active sex drive, you know that right?" I ask with a playful scowl on my face as Randy begins to toy with the hem of his shirt.
"I think I have heard you say that to me once before . . ." he tells me with a smirk as my cell phone begins to ring. "Don't you dare answer that!"
"And why shouldn't I?" I ask him curiously as I begin to reach for my phone on the dresser, but Randy quickly pins me to the bed with his body before I could grasp it. "RANDY!"
"Sorry babe, but I don't want anything disturbing us when we're just about to start having some fun again . . ." he tells me in a whine as he presses his body a little more into me. "Now please just let your phone ring . . . You can always call back anyway."
"You can be really annoying sometimes you know that right?" I ask him with a shake of my head before rolling us over so that he was under me. I quickly turn around and pin his arms to his sides with my legs. "Now, I'm going to answer my phone, and you're going to watch me do it. We'll see whether or not you get your wish after I finish checking my phone okay?"
"Fine . . ." he tells me with a small scowl on his face as I grab my phone. "But it better not take long . . ."
"Don't worry . . . it's only a text from Steph anyway. . ." I say with a chuckle as I look at the message.
"What did she write?" Randy asks me curiously as I quickly scan through a few older messages.
"She's booked me an interview and photo shoot with Muscle & Fitness magazine. It's going to be for their January issue." I tell him with a smirk as I put my phone back on the dresser.
"When are you supposed to do it?" Randy asks me with a smirk as I move my face closer to his.
"The same day I make my reappearance for the WWE . . ." I tell him with a shrug as I finally get off him. "You know, the day of the first house show after Christmas up in NYC."
"Oh . . . that means you're going to have a lot on your plate that day huh?" he tells me with a smirk as I feel his arms wrap around my waist. "Aww . . . my baby is getting back to work. That's so cute."
"Uh huh . . . and speaking of babies. I think it's time I give Dani and Gabi a bath," I tell him as I slip out of his grip. "You can be the one on breakfast duty Ran."
"Aw . . . why me?" he tells me with a playful scowl on his face as I walk over to the dresser to pull out a t-shirt and some sweatpants.
"Because I'll be the one giving our girls a bath," I tell him bluntly as I take off his shirt and throw it to his face. He doesn't move to block it and takes the hit head on. "Now, put on some pants and start cooking."
"Fine, but at least let me help you transport the girls to the bathtub," he tells me as I quickly put on my clothes. "I doubt you have fully mastered carrying the girls at the same time yet . . ."
"Oh yes I have . . . I'm telekinetic. I'll leave the rest of the explanation up to you . . ." I tell him with a smirk as I walk into the nursery.
"That doesn't make any . . . Oh wait, now that I think about it, I see where you were going with that." I hear him say from his spot in the bedroom.
"Are you decent yet?" I ask with a smirk as I take the girls' headphones off their ears.
"Now I am . . ." he tells me as I watch him walk into the room with shirtless, but with pants. "I'll take Gabi, you can take Dani."
"Fair enough . . . Their bathing tubs are already in the bathroom," I say as I pick Dani up in my arms. Randy does the same with Gabi and we walk toward our bathroom one behind the other. Once we reach the room, I grab their tubs and place them in the bathtub one behind the other before we place one girl in each tub. "Okay, the girls are in the tub . . . Now you can go make breakfast Randy."
"Kicking me out so soon baby . . ." he tells me with a small pout on his face as I begin to take off Dani's onesie. "I haven't even brush my teeth yet."
"Yeah . . . I noticed," I say with a smirk as I throw Dani's onesie into the hamper before moving onto Gabi. "You do have a bad case of morning breath my serpentine friend."
"I may have a bad case of morning breath, but you don't seem to mind it . . ." he tells me with a grin before blowing a puff of his breath straight into my face.
"Okay, now you're pushing your luck . . ." I tell him as I fan the remnants of his breath away from my face before pushing his head back. "Go start making breakfast before I actually kick you out the room."
"Girls, you see this?" Randy says with a disapproving shake of his head as he points to me. "Your mother is being violent toward me. Please don't act like that when you get older you two, okay?"
"Oh get out . . ." I tell him as I begin shoving him out the room. I give him one swift kick to his behind that sends him right out the room and I close the door right after his departure. I slowly turn around to look at the girls to see Dani giving me what looked like a wide eyed look while Dani looked somewhat pleased, well, in my opinion. "Don't listen to your dad girls . . . He hears voices in his head."
"Says the woman who has an actual inner her in her mind!" I hear Randy call from behind the door.
"Go cook breakfast you Viper!" I call out to him as I scowl at the door.
"Was that supposed to be an insult . . ." Randy asks me curiously before breaking into a chuckle. ". . . That was just plain sad 'Manda, even for you."
"Randy, I'm about to open this door . . ." I tell him as I grab hold of the doorknob. "And if I see you right behind it, I will kick your butt."
I quickly open the door to see that he was no longer there, but before I could close the door back, he zoom right up to me at vampire speed and pecks my lips before closing the door for me, his chuckling easily heard through the door as I hear him leave the room.
"Ooh, that man is going to get it one of these days . . ." I say with a shake of my head as I can't help but let a small smirk come across my face. "Well then . . . back to work."
Normal POV
"I so love teasing 'Manda . . ." said Randy with a smirk as he put his shirt on before walking into the kitchen. The sound of the elevator instantly got his attention and he poked his head out of the kitchen to see Wade and Monica walking out of the elevator with tired expressions on their faces. "Ah, you finally made it back. Why do both of you look like crap?"
"Well that's a nice way to greet us Randy," Monica said bluntly as Wade irritably flipped him the middle finger. "Is 'Manda still asleep?"
"Nope; she's giving Dani and Gabi a bath. . ." said the Viper as he shook his head. "Did something happen while you guys were out?"
"Something like that . . ." grumbled Wade as he turned to Monica. "You can explain what happened to him. I'm going to bed."
"Fine; I'll be there when I'm done. . ." said Monica as Wade started to walk to her room. ". . . And you better not be hogging the sheet when I get there!"
"I'll try not to!" Wade answered back as he walked into her room. Once he closed the door behind him with a loud thud. Monica turned to Randy to see Randy looking at her with an eyebrow raised.
"I see you two had a rough night after the rest of us left," said Randy as he moved out of the way so that Monica could enter the kitchen. "Care to explain what happened?"
"Well . . . it is quite a story . . ." said Monica as she took a seat at the kitchen island. "After you guys left, Wade and I decided to do a little exploring around the woods before we went to sleep. We went a mile up north, and that's when we heard the gunshots."
"So you heard some animal hunters shoot a deer right . . . ?" asked Randy as he took out a mixing bowl and a skillet from out the cabinet
"That's what we thought . . ." mumbled Monica as she wiped the sleep from her eyes. ". . . Until we heard this loud piercing howl the definitely didn't come from a normal deer."
"A loud piercing howl you say . . . ?" asked Randy as he took out a box of pancake mix from out of another cabinet. "Are you telling me that you heard another werewolf in the area?"
"That we did . . . and he sounded like he was in pain," said Monica as she let her head rest in her hands. "Wade and I decided to go investigate, so we followed the sounds of the werewolf till we reached the edged of this field that was as big as a soccer field. . . . There were hunters, supernatural hunters in that field, about seven of them in total. They were standing around a wounded werewolf. He was bleeding from the abdomen, and he was losing blood fast."
"Which guild were the hunters from?" asked Randy, inwardly dreading what the answer would be.
"They're from the same one the hunters that destroyed your grandparents' ranch house up in Montana are from," Monica told him bluntly. "You know; the ones with those insignias on the side of their necks?"
"Yeah . . . I know them well," Randy grumbled with a scowl on his face as he continued to gather the ingredients he needed for breakfast. "Continue . . ."
"Well, Wade and I stuck to the shadows in order to avoid detection," said Monica as she let out a small yawn. "The hunters were talking about who should give the finishing blow. They couldn't agree on who should do it, so the leader just took it upon himself to do it. Suddenly, he takes out one of those axes you see lumberjacks use and started hacking away at the werewolf. The poor thing never had a chance."
"Did the hunters spot you guys?" asked Randy as he began to pour his pancake ingredients into the mixing bowl.
"Nope" Monica answered him with a quick shake of her head. "They went further north while we turned back and headed south, but, we did overhear one more thing the hunters talked about before we went out of range."
"What was it?" Randy asked her curiously.
"They were talking about vampires . . ." Monica told him glumly as she locked eyes with him. "They said they were planning to hunt for some vampires in the St. Louis. They didn't mention anyone specific. It's more like the first ones they spot are the first ones they kill . . . and it doesn't seem like anyone is going to stop them."
"What about some of the other hunter guilds? The ones that don't hunt other supernaturals for sport?" asked Randy as he began to mix his ingredients. "Shouldn't they do something about it?"
"They should, but they can't . . ." said Monica as she shook her head. "It would be against the Hunter Code."
"The Hunter Code?" Randy asked her, looking completely perplexed. "What the hell is that?"
"You've never heard of the Hunter Code before?" asked Monica as she looked at him in shock. "'Manda was right. You really didn't pay attention at your Coven teen meetings."
"That's right; not only did I not pay attention to those meetings, I completely ditched them altogether sometimes," said Randy as he poured the pancake batter onto the skillet. "So please, what is the Hunter Code exactly?"
"The Hunter Code is basically a set of rules that all the hunter guilds abide to," said Monica as she crossed her arms. "Each country has their own Hunter Code, and in the U.S. version, it was agreed that the guilds would not interfere with each other's hunting parties and events as long as it doesn't attract media attention."
"Basically, they could do anything they want as long as they don't get the press on their asses?" asked Randy as he quickly took out spatula from a drawer.
"That is correct, my snake-emulating friend . . ." said Monica as Amanda walked into the room pushing a now cleaned up Dani and Gabi in their mobile crib. "Morning sis . . . I suppose you heard the whole conversation I just had with your boyfriend here?"
"Morning sis . . . and yes, yes I did hear the whole conversation you just had with my boyfriend" said Amanda as she sat down in the seat next to her. "I'm guessing you and Wade didn't get that much sleep last night due to the hunter threat in the area right?"
"You got that right sis . . ." said Monica as she let out another yawn. "We both stayed up in order to make sure the hunters wouldn't have the drop on us. . . And with that, I bid you good day because I'm going to bed."
"Good morning to you too sis . . ." 'Manda called after her as Monica walked out the room. "How are the pancakes coming along Mr.?"
"They're coming along great . . ." said the Viper as he flipped the pancakes. "But it's going to take me a while to finish all of them."
"Take your time . . . I'm not going anywhere," said 'Manda as she started to look through her phone. "So . . ."
"So . . . what?" asked Randy as he continued to work on the pancakes. "Is there something bothering you?"
"Nothing's bothering me . . ." said Amanda a she stared at the back of his head. "I'm just wondering what you're going to get me for Christmas this year, that's all . . ."
"Babe, Christmas is a month away . . ." said Randy in a parental voice. "If you're wondering whether or not I'm going to put a lot of thought into your Christmas gift this year, don't worry, I will."
"Well that's very good to know . . ." said Amanda as she shook her head. "Is the Coven going to hold its Christmas party again this year?"
"My dad told me it's going to happen this year, and the next year, and the next year . . ." said Randy as he scooped a few pancakes onto his plate and put them onto a plate on the side. "After what happened at last year's party, he's determined to put the party back on track, but if the hunters are still going to be around then, he's going to have put in a lot more security for the event."
"Does he expect us to attend?" Amanda asked him tiredly as she went back to looking at her phone.
"He's . . . he's hoping for it," said Randy as he looked over his shoulder. "What? You don't want to go?"
"I'm not sure . . . We're not required to wear ugly Christmas sweaters this year are we?" asked 'Manda as she scrunched her face up in disgust.
"No . . . no, we're not," said Randy as he shook his head. "Manda, is there something you're not telling me?"
"Well . . . The hospital my mom works at hosts a Christmas banquet every year, and I think she may ask us to attend it." Amanda mumbled for an answer as she shook her head.
"Babe, I doubt the Coven's Christmas party and the hospital's Christmas banquet will happen on the same night," said Randy as he poured some more batter onto the skillet. "Don't worry babe. I think everything will work out nicely."
"We'll see about that . . ." said Amanda as she looked at Dani and Gabi, who were staring at each other as if they were having their very own mental conversation. "But hopefully, everything will work out."
"I know it will babe . . ." said Randy as he showed off a confident smirk. "What are Dani and Gabi doing?"
"They're just staring at each other, like they're doing their own little mental conversation with each other," said Amanda as she quickly took a photo of the two. "It's so cute."
"Maybe their psychic powers are starting to show . . . first is telepathy, and then, who knows what's next. . ." said Randy as he flipped the pancakes.
"Yeah . . ." said 'Manda as he took another look at the twins. "Who knows . . . ?"
Could the twins actually be developing their psychic powers? That is the question.
