Chapter 54: Annaliese Strikes Again
Amanda's POV
"Did you have fun out there?" I ask with a grin as Randy walks into the room, a small grin spreading across his face as he closes the door behind him. "That smile spreading across your face is telling me that you had a little fun out there in the ring. Someone's a happy Viper . . ."
"Well, I would be lying if I told you that I didn't enjoy myself giving out RKOs to the Authority and all . . ." he tells me with a shrug as he takes a seat on the couch right next to me. "Dani and Gabi didn't give you any trouble while I was gone now did they?"
"On the contrary . . ." I say with a smirk as I turn to our girls, their eyes looking back at us as they lay in their stroller. "They were quite the well-behaved little ladies while you were out there terrorizing your old stable mates in the ring."
"'Your old stable mates' you say?" he asks me with a smirk as he paraphrases my words. "You sound like you're not a part of the Authority anymore. Care to explain why?"
"Well . . . just like you, I was a member of the Authority. Then I got pregnant with Dani and Gabi here, so I left on-screen television," I say as I thought over my words. "After you left to do your thing in the ring, Steph came in to talk about some ideas that the writers are throwing around. They're trying to figure out how to reintroduce me on TV. So far, they can't decide between me still being in the Authority, but then betraying them to be on your side once you make your re-debut or me just coming to the ring after one of the Divas starts trash-talking about me and then beating the lucky loser up. They're also throwing around the idea of announcing my return through a series of vignettes in the upcoming weeks, but they haven't decided on anything solid yet."
"Which one are you hoping for?" Randy asks me curiously as he walks over to me.
"I'm hoping for the beating up the Diva that trash talks me one," I say with a smirk as Randy sits down next to me. "The vignettes thing is not really my style, and if they decided to go with the first idea, I feel like it would give the writers an opportunity to try to write our relationship into a storyline or something."
"I have to agree with you on that one. . ." he tells me with a sheepish smirk on his face. "I can't really see you having short videos being played every week in order to announce your return and it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to write our relationship into a storyline if they went with the first idea."
"I told Steph I was hoping they would go for the second one, but she said herself that she was leaning toward the first one," I say with a smirk as I let him wrap his arm around my waist. "She said it would make the Authority storyline more dynamic if I betrayed the Authority on live TV."
"Did she manage to mention which choice Hunter was going for?" he asks me with a smirk as I rest my head on his shoulders.
"He's actually leaning toward the second one actually," I say with a winning grin. "He says he would be happy to send out a Diva for me to beat up in the ring. Apparently, a whole bunch of them have been bugging him these days, trying to convince him to give them a title shot and he's sick of it."
"Well . . . I can't blame some of the Divas for acting like they are . . ." Randy tells me as he kisses my forehead. "Some Divas, like Naomi for example, deserve a title shot after performing so well for so long, but then there are others on the roster that just hasn't really done well enough to earn it, and I can seriously name a few Divas that fit into that category."
"Wow . . . the Randy of ten years ago would never have said such a thing like you just said just now," I say in mild shock as Randy lets out a small chuckle. "He would have said something totally different actually . . . maybe throw in a few curse words here and there for emphasis . . ."
"Yeah . . . that does sound like something me from 10 years ago would do," he tells me with a shake of his head as a thoughtful look came across his face. ". . . I wonder what changed."
". . . Well the fact that you're the father of three girls comes to mind . . ." I say with a chuckle as I poke him in his shirtless gut.
"That is a good point . . ." he tells me with a smirk as a look of realization comes across his face. "And speaking of girls, when was the last time we called our family back home?"
"Yesterday during breakfast . . ." I tell him as an unsure look comes across my face. "Why do you ask?"
"I promised Alanna that I would call her today, and I forgot. Also, Nate said that he was going to call me after Raw today. He said he wanted to talk to me about his whole decision on whether or not he was going to stay with the company he's still signed to or not," Randy tells me as he rubs his hand against his scruffy chin. "He should be calling any minute now . . ."
"Then you might as well have your phone with you then . . ." I tell him as I get up to walk over to his duffle bag, which sitting on a chair across the room from us, just as a loud knock emanated from the door. "Babe, can you get that?"
"Sure thing . . ." I hear him say as I begin rifling through his things to get to his phone. I hear him open the door and mentally groan, which instantly makes me look over his shoulder to see that a familiar woman with a bob haircut was at our door, and judging from the flirty smile she had on her face, she was definitely happy to see that it my man to be the one to open the door. "Oh, hello Annaliese . . ."
"Hi Randy . . ." she greets him with that flirty look in those hazel eyes of hers. "I'm sorry to bother you, but is your mate in here?"
"Actually yes, yes she is . . ." Randy tells her, looking slightly relieved that Annaliese inadvertently gave him an escape route out of their very short conversation. "Babe, Annaliese is here to see you about something!"
"Why?" I ask him curiously as I walk over to him with his phone in hand.
"I don't know . . . I'm guessing she'll tell you herself," Randy tells me as I hand him his phone, never noticing that Annaliese had a rather disappointed look on her face. ". . . And thank you for finding my phone babe."
"You're welcome Ran . . ." I say with a smirk as he retreats inside, leaving Annaliese and I to ourselves. "So Annaliese, what can I do for you?"
"Oh . . . Steph said she wanted to see you," she tells me in that thick British accent of hers. "She said that she wants to talk to you about the upcoming events and shows you're supposed to attend in the next few weeks."
"Alright then . . ." I say as I look over my shoulder to see Randy in the middle of taking off his shirt. "Babe, I have to meet with Steph for a few minutes."
"Okay . . . I'll see you in a few then . . ." Randy tells me with a smirk as he throws his shirt into his bag before taking a second one out. I shoot him a smirk in return before leaving the room, having a sudden, and pretty good, feeling that Annaliese was going to try to make a move again . . .
. . . Hmm, good luck with that Annaliese . . .
Randy's POV
"Annaliese, don't you have something else to do, or somewhere else to go right now?" I ask her as I shot her a stoic look. She was still standing in the doorway of the room, her eyes never leaving me as I stared at her. I would have redressed myself by now, but I didn't want to do it with her hungry eyes watching. There's only one woman I will allow to watch me redress myself, and Annaliese definitely isn't her.
"Steph and Hunter don't need me anymore for the night, so I'm basically free right now," she tells me with a smirk. "Aren't you going to get dressed?"
"I would, but I'm not doing it with you around . . ." I tell her as I narrow my eyes at her.
"Why? Do I make you uncomfortable right now?" she asks me with a playful grin, the same grin she used in her attempt to flirt with me just a few hours ago . . . which was a desperate attempt to flirt with me, might I add.
"Actually no . . . You're just annoying me right now. . ." I tell her bluntly as I cross my arms. "Just leave already succubus. I don't need your flirty crap right now."
"Ooh . . . why'd you have to be so vulgar Mr. Viper?" she asks me with a smirk as she steps into the room and close the door behind her. So much for her making a hasty exit . . . "There are children in here after all. You don't want your daughters hearing such crass language do you?"
"Leave my daughters out of this and get out . . ." I tell her again as I shoot her a cold look. "My mate is going to be back in a few minutes and I don't think she'll appreciate the fact that you're still in here when you shouldn't be."
"Aw . . . don't be like that Randy," she tells me in an innocent tone of voice. "I just want to get to know you better silly. I will be traveling with the roster for the next few months after all. I might as well make a few friends during my time here."
"You want to get to know me better huh?" I tell her as I let out a cold chuckle. "Tell me something Annaliese. Did you say the same thing to Ziggler, Rollins, Wade, and Ted when you were flirting with them or am I the special one out of the bunch of guys you've been trying to flirt with today?"
"Ah . . . I see you've heard about my flirting exploits huh?" she tells me with a shake of her head. "It's kinda my thing you know. I am a succubus after all."
"I have no interest in succubus period," I tell her bluntly as I resist the urge to let out a small growl. This girl is way too insistent for her own good . . . "To me, succubus are just nothing but flat out trouble."
"Oh . . . Are you scared that you're going to get in trouble with your little mate?" she asks me as she lets out a small chuckle, her tone slightly mocking as she said the word mate. "She doesn't need to know Randy. This can be just between you and me."
"Yeah no thanks," I tell her as I feel my scowl deepen even further. "Besides, my mate doesn't even see you as competition. . . Actually, none of the Divas on the roster see you as actual competition for them. For the most part, all of them just see you as a desperate flirt trying to get laid."
"Really?" she asks me bluntly as the door opens up to reveal Monica right behind it with a small smirk on her face. "Do all of the Divas really think like that of me?"
"Really, well at least most of them do . . ." she shakes her head in agreement as she steps into the room. "Sorry, I was passing by your door when I heard you two talking in here and I couldn't help but pop in to see what was going on in here. Is everything alright?"
"Everything is just fine actually . . ." I tell her with a small grin as Annaliese continued to scowl at her, more so out of disbelief than out of anger. "We were just talking about how most of the Divas don't really see Annaliese as competition for the men's attention around here, since most of them are in relationships after all."
"Ah . . . no truer words have ever been said Randy," she tells me in agreement. "No truer words have ever been said."
"Can you please leave now? Randy and I were in the middle of a conversation here!" Annaliese exclaims as she shakes her head at my mate's sister. . . So much for being a level headed succubus. "I'm sorry for lashing out at you, but you did interrupt our conversation here!"
"Nope, I will not leave, not unless Randy here tells me to since this is his locker room after all . . . and besides, it sounded more like Randy was calling you out for your flirtatious ways than actually having a conversation with you," said Monica as Alicia and Kelly's heads popped into the room. "Hey girls! Were you passing by too?"
"Yep . . . and we couldn't help but hear the interesting talk you three are having just now," says Kelly as she narrowed her eyes at Annaliese, probably still a little miffed over the succubus attempt to flirt with Ted earlier. "Let me ask you this one quick question Annaliese: Why do you insist on flirting with every guy that you come across? It's okay if the guy's single, but if he's in a relationship, you shouldn't be pulling such a stunt you know, especially in a workplace where practically every girl is trained to kick some butt one way or another."
"Trust me . . . some of the Divas on the roster will not hesitate to come after you if you try to flirt with their men," Alicia further added as she shook her head. "We have some crazy Divas on this roster . . . Trust me, they won't think twice one bit."
"Men in relationships are quite the challenge for me, and I like myself a good challenge. With most of the men on this roster already in relationships, it just makes things much more interesting for me during my time with this company," Annaliese tells them calmly as she shoots them a smirk. "I'm a succubus. I can't help who I am. Flirting and luring men in is just my thing. It's something I'm born to do. You ladies may not like it, but since I'm traveling with this roster till after WrestleMania, you just have to get used to my antics till I leave for jolly old London."
"So, you're basically telling us that you're not going to stop your flirtatious ways around here are you?" Monica asks her bluntly as she shakes her head.
"Nope . . . I'm going to continue to do what I do till after WrestleMania weekend. Maybe I'll actually bag some men along the way . . . Besides, I bet you girls can handle a little competition till then," she tells them confidently as she looks over her shoulder at me. "I'm already interested in a few guys more than others . . ."
"Can you at least try to avoid the guys that are actually in relationships?" grumbled Alicia as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Trust me; you don't want to make their women angry if they see you flirting with them."
"I can try to manage that, but I make no promises. The danger and risk is all part of the fun . . ." she tells her with a grin as she shakes her head. "I better get going now. I'll see you around Randy."
"Try not to . . . I don't think I'll be so nice next time around . . ." I tell her with a scowl as she leaves the room, passing by the three Divas as she did so. "I have a good feeling she's going to give the wrestlers hell these next few months. . ."
"I couldn't have said it better myself . . ." says Monica as Amanda finally walks back into the room. "Hey sis, where've you been?"
"I was talking with Steph about the events and shows I'm going to be a part of these upcoming weeks," says Amanda as she waves a folded piece of paper in the air. "I guess I missed a lot while I was gone, considering I saw Annaliese walking out of the room before I walked in."
"Oh yeah . . . We were just trying to get to know each other that's all . . ." I tell her sarcastically as I shake my head.
"At least when Aksana was still here, she was way more respectful in regards to people's romantic relationships around the roster . . ." mumbles Monica as she starts cracking her knuckles. "Aksana stuck with just luring the single guys, but Annaliese is determined to flirt with every single guy she comes across, regardless of what their romantic status is. She even said that she's eyeing some guys more than others."
"Like Randy?" she asks with a knowing look on her face as she walks over to me.
"Like Randy . . ." the other three Divas say in unison as I just shake my head.
"You're still not going to get mad because of Annaliese insistence on flirting with me in these next few months?" I ask 'Manda as she shoots me a small smirk.
"I'll try not to, but if she starts thinking those crazy thoughts again, I will definitely super kick her in the face," she tells me bluntly as she turns to Alicia. "And speaking of crazy thoughts, Alicia, you better make your way back to craft services. Annaliese is trying to move in on Kofi."
"Oh hell no!" exclaims the shapeshifter as she runs out the room
"I better go after her . . . Better make sure she doesn't do something that may get her suspended . . ." mumbles Kelly as she jogs out the room after her.
"And I better go after her too . . . Wade said he was heading to craft services to get something to eat, and if Annaliese strikes out with Kofi, she may go after him next . . ." grumbles Monica a she shakes her head. "I'll see you guys later . . ."
"Bye" Amanda tells her with a small grin as Monica runs out the room, closing the door right behind her as she went. "So, did anything happen in here that would cause traumatic scarring for our girls? They're still wide awake, so I'm guessing they saw the whole exchange right?"
"Yeah . . . They saw the whole thing, and I'm sorry that you two had to witness the whole exchange with Annaliese just now, Dani and Gabi. I hope you can forgive me," I tell them as I walk over to the stroller. "'Manda babe, you don't see anything in their minds rom the exchange that might scar them do you?"
"They weren't affected by it one bit . . ." she tells me as I feel her presence right behind me. "Although, I can sense a bit of shock from the two when they saw you getting all angry at Annaliese. This was the first time they ever saw you angry isn't it?
"Yeah . . . It is," I tell her as I feel her arms wrap around my waist. "I was hoping not to show them the angry side of me till they were a little older, but I guess we all can't get what we want."
"Well . . . what I want is for you to get dressed so we can get out of here and head off to Norfolk," she tells me with a smirk as I feel her lips on my bare back. "The further we get down the South, the more likely will reach areas with warmer temperatures."
"Babe, the weather can't be helped . . . It is the middle of winter after all," I tell her with a grin as she shoots me a childish pout. "But if you insist, I'll get dressed now so that we can leave out. Is Hal out in the parking lot?"
"Yep . . . he's out there in the parking lot waiting for us as we speak," she tells me with a smirk as she moves around me so that she was standing in front of me, her arms never breaking their hold from my waist. "Now get dressed before I kick your butt."
"Not if I kick your butt first baby . . ." I say with a grin as I peck her lips. "Just give me ten minutes and then we can go okay?"
"I'll give you until I finish putting Dani and Gabi back into their outdoor onesies. How about that?" she asks me with that mischievous smile of hers.
"Uh . . . I think that's fair enough . . ."
Normal POV
As soon as Amanda released her hold on Randy's waist, the Viper quickly ran to his duffle bag and grabbed his clothes before running into the bathroom and shutting the door behind him. Amanda quickly grabbed Dani from out of the stroller and got her into her onesie before moving on to Gabi. She was halfway done putting on her onesie when Randy stepped out of the bathroom with a big grin on his face and his wrestling gear in hand, obviously having the feeling that he had indeed won the race.
"Having some trouble with the onesie my sexy snake mama?" Randy asked her with a grin on his face as he put his things into his duffle bag.
"Nope; I'm just about done actually . . ." said Amanda as he placed Gabi into the stroller and buckled her up. "And don't even gloat about the fact that you won this round Randy. I wouldn't appreciate it."
"Won this round? I didn't even know we were racing . . ." he told her with a smirk on his face as he put on his coat before moving on to his boots. "But I'll gladly take the prize for first place."
"There was no prize for first place . . ." said Amanda as she put on her coat and then her hat.
"Yes there was . . ."
"And what, do tell, is the prize for first place again?" asked Amanda as she looked up to see Randy approaching her. He let a small smile face his face before he pulled her in by the neck for a searing kiss, never letting go as he moved his hands to her legs and lifted her up so that her legs wrapped around his waist. The two finally disconnected after a long moment of kissing, both of them looking deep into the others eyes as the twins let out their usual baby sounds nearby. "Oh . . . now I see what you meant by a prize for first place."
"It's a prize that we both enjoyed and you know it . . ." he told her with a grin as Amanda dismounted his body. "And now that I have claimed my prize, we can go to our bus now."
"Okay then . . ." said Amanda with a grin as she gathered her bags. Randy grabbed his duffle bag before taking control of the stroller and pushing it out the room, Amanda following right behind him as they made their way to lot. As soon as they made it outside, they spotted their bus down the lot pared next to Sheamus' own. They quickly walked over to the bus, braving the cold win that seemed to get colder and colder with each gust, and reached it within three minutes. Once they got the door opened, the couple each took a seat off the stroller, Dani with 'Manda and Gabi with Randy, and folded up what's left of the stroller before climbing up the steps into the bus' interior, where they instantly noticed the presence of a familiar person sitting silently at the table with a set of cards in hand. Hal sat across from him with his own set of cards in hand.
"Nate?" Randy asked in mild shock as he walked over to this brother. "When in the world did you get here to D.C.?"
"About two hours ago . . ." Nate told his brother with a smile on his face as he continued to look at his cards. "I found out that you had already checked out of your hotel, so I walked over here and found the bus. I've been here ever since, biding my time by playing some card games with Hal, and I've beaten him every time."
"Don't rub it in Mr.!" exclaimed the older man as he scowled at him. "This time I'll get you for sure."
"Hal, I've seen both yours' and Nate's hands," said Amanda as she put down her bags into the spot next to Nate's seat before taking Gabi from Randy and walking over to the crib a little further down the bus. "He's so going to beat you! Give up now!"
"I would take her advice Hal," said Nate as he let out a small chuckle. "I'd hate to see you lose again."
"Don't underestimate me boy . . ." grumbled Hal as he showed his hand. "Three queens! Beat that!"
"Three aces," said Nate in response as he showed his hand. "I win, AGAIN!"
"That's it! I'm heading back to the wheel!" grumbled Hal as he jumped out of his chair and headed for the driver's seat. "Where are we off to next?"
"We're going to Norfolk, Virginia for SmackDown," said Randy as he replaced Hal in the seat across from Nate. "It's a good three hour drive away."
"Got it!" called the driver as he brought the bus' engine to life.
"So Nate . . ." said Randy as he turned to his brother. "Care to explain your impromptu visit this time around?"
"Yep, yes I do . . ." said the younger Orton as he locked eyes with his brother. "Let's just say I've made a few decisions that're going to affect my future for quite a bit."
