Chapter 63: HoF Pre-festivities

Normal POV; the morning before WrestleMania

"Hello Nate!" Amanda said with a small grin on her face as she walked into the suite and closed the door behind her, juggling her keycard, a white garment bag, and a black and gray colored shoebox in her hands as she did. "You're up early."

"And so are you, which is weird considering you're such a heavy sleeper . . ." said Nate as he stopped mid-push up to look at his soon to be sister-in-law. "You're usually not up this early. Where have you been?"

"Oh . . . I went out for an early morning jog," explained Amanda as she put her keycard into her back pocket. "The weather is very nice outside, so I decided a nice run around the neighborhood would do me some good."

"And what's with the garment bag and the shoebox?" Nate asked her with a smirk on his face as he moved himself into a sitting position. "Did you already buy your wedding dress?"

"No . . . Besides, I haven't started the hunt for my ideal wedding dress just yet Nate," Amanda told him bluntly as she shook her head. "The garment bag contains the dress I plan to wear tonight for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. I picked it, as well as my shoes, up from the boutique I rented them from while I was coming back from my run."

"You haven't started hunting for your wedding dress yet?" Nate asked her in mock shock as he placed his hands on his hips rather dramatically. "Ooh child, the wedding dress is one of the most important outfits a woman will wear in her life . . . Do you at least have a couple ideas on what you're looking for?"

"To be honest, I'm looking for something elegant, yet sexy. It has to be a dress that'll show my curves and will have a graceful feel to it; I'm looking for a dress that suits my style; that suits me. That screams me!" said Amanda as a thoughtful look came across her face. "It's going to take time for me to find the right dress, but I will find it."

"Of course you will, because you're the Anaconda, and the Anaconda always gets what she wants." Nate said rather sarcastically as Amanda shot him a superior smirk. "Randy's still in the bedroom. . ."

"How is he?" Amanda asked him as she shot a quick look at the bedroom door across the suite.

"He's the same as he usually is when he wakes up these past few mornings. I wouldn't sweat it." said Nate as he waved her worry off.

"Yeah, but I would . . ." said Amanda as she let out a small breath. She walked over to the door and knocked on it before entering the room, her eyes instantly going to the Viper as he stood in front of the floor to ceiling window to stare at the California landscape. Amanda checked on the twins, smiling when she saw that the two of them were still sleeping in their crib, before hanging her garment bag right in front of Randy's black one on the bathroom door and putting her shoebox down next to the bed.

"So, you want a wedding dress that's both elegant and sexy, that shows your curves, and has a graceful feel to it?" asked the Viper as he spoke to the window before turning around to face his fiancée. A small smirk graced his face, but it wasn't the same kind of smirk that told Amanda that her beau was feeling alright. "Elegant and sexy . . . that certainly does sound like your sense of style if you ask me."

"Yeah, thanks for realizing it . . ." Amanda told him with a small smile on her face as she walked over to him. When she reached him, she rested her head on his bare shoulder, the Viper encircling her with his tattooed arms in a comforting embrace as he kissed her forehead. "How are you feeling baby?"

"Well, I'm definitely not feeling jittery because I'm facing off against Rollins tomorrow. That's something I cannot wait for . . ." Randy told her with a hollow chuckle as he rested his cheek on her temple. "I guess . . . I guess I'm still not used to the whole thing with Jasper, that's all."

"Babe, you're worried for him, aren't you?" Amanda said her question more like a knowing statement as she looked her man in the eye. "You're still unsettled over the idea that Jasper is working as a double agent in an evil group of criminals that has an agenda against the WWE."

"Can you blame me?" asked the Viper as he raised an eyebrow. "Jasper's my cousin . . . He's family. He's a good kid . . . I just never imagined that he could be a part of something so huge."

"Yeah, and I never managed that my firstborn would actually be firstborns, but that happened . . ." said Amanda as she shook her head. "Look Randy, I understand how you feel . . . When I found out that my brother wanted to be a supernatural detective years ago, I couldn't even fathom the idea, to be honest."

"Really?" asked Randy as he furrowed his eyebrows together. "You didn't really show that you were uncomfortable with Mason's decision when you told me about it."

"That was because I was a very stubborn teenager that didn't like showing my vulnerable side to anyone at the time. You of all people should know that," said Amanda as she rested her hands on Randy's bare chest. "I knew that working as a supernatural detective was a risky, and sometimes dangerous business, so when I found out that Mason actually wanted to pursue it as his profession, I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. I figured he would be a businessman or a lawyer, maybe even go into the pro-wrestling or boxing business since he does know the moves for it, but it just wasn't the case . . ."

"What happened?" Randy asked her as he rubbed small circles around her back. "What did you do next?"

"It took me awhile, but I got around to talking to Mason about it. Talking to my brother helped me to understand why he decided to go with the career he chose," Amanda told him with a sincere look on her face. "But before that, I was totally unsure about Mason's decision. I was worried that he was going crazy for going with a dangerous occupation. I was in total disbelief about it, enough that I was starting to lose sleep over it."

"You were just being the younger sister worried about your older brother." said Randy as he kissed her on her forehead again.

"And you are just being the older cousin worried about their younger cousin," Amanda told him as she brought a hand to his stubble-ridden cheek. "Randy, I had to learn to trust that my brother will be just fine living out his days traveling around working on supernatural cases. And now, you have to trust that your cousin will be fine working as a spy in some criminal organization hoping to take down the WWE . . . I know you're still unsure about this whole thing. I know you still see Jasper as your younger cousin, but he's capable of handling himself in tough situations. You just got to remember that."

"It'll be hard, but I'll try. If you can do it, then so can I . . ." Randy told her with a small smile on his face as Amanda kissed him on the nose. "I was hoping for a kiss to the lips, but a nose kiss works just as well."

"Sorry . . ." said Amanda as she quickly pecked him on the lips in order to remedy the situation. "So, care to show me what you look like in the suit you're planning to wear tonight? I know you'll look sexy in it, but I want to see it for myself just to verify my assumptions."

"Sorry honey, but you're going to have to wait until tonight to see for yourself," said the Viper as his mischievous smirk finally showed up on his face. "Besides, you don't let me see you in your pretty dresses until after we get ready for red carpet events. I'm just returning the favor."

"Ouch . . ." grumbled Amanda as Randy let out a soft chuckle. "That is mean, yet so true. And I don't wear pretty dresses, I wear dresses that make the other girls jealous, just a little."

"Yeah, you know you like the looks you get from other people when you walk the red carpet," said Randy as his mate broke out of his grip and walked over to their bed, him following right after her. "C'mon, we both know you do."

"Yeah, I'll admit I like the stares I get, and I bet you like the fact that you have good ol' sexy me as your arm candy when we walk those red carpets now don't you?" Amanda asked him with a knowing smirk on her face as she sat down on their bed.

"I can't deny something so true . . ." said the Viper as he stood in front of her. "We are quite the couple when we walk the red carpet. Remember the last red carpet we went to together?"

"You mean the one where you couldn't stop putting your hand on my butt?" Amanda asked him as he leaned down, placing both his arms on either side of her legs as he looked into her in the eyes intently. "Like seriously Ran, we were walking the carpet for a charity banquet, but you were more focused on keeping your hand on my derriere than anything else."

"I was not . . ." Randy told her with a shake of his head. "And besides, I only grabbed your cute little ass when I knew the cameras weren't going to take a photo. I was being discreet."

"Yes, you were being very discreet when you kept on whispering very naughty things into my ear that night . . ." Amanda told him with a smirk on her face as she lay back into the bed.

"And as you very well know, I kept my word on fulfilling my promise on doing those very naughty things to you once we got back from said banquet . . ." said Randy as he slowly crawled back onto bed, his body slowly hovering over hers as he held himself up by his arms. "If you want, we can easily do a repeat of that night's activities."

"I would certainly love that, just not right now . . ." said Amanda as she moved her gaze to the crib. "Remember, we have roommates after all."

"And Dani and Gabi's presence stops me from having my way with you in bed once again . . ." I hear Randy whisper in my ear before I turn my head to face him once again. "However, their presence will not stop me from reminiscing on some good bedroom memories of ours . . ."

"Good bedroom memories?" asked the Anaconda as she raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

"Well, the first time we went at it in the sack comes to mind," said Randy as he brought a hand to his mate's cheek. "If I remember correctly, which I definitely do, it was around this time a year ago that we finally decided to get to know each other's bodies better."

"Got to know each other's bodies better . . . Well, that's a different way to say we finally had sex with each other after a long while delaying it, mostly because I wanted to delay it until I was more used to being a vampire . . ." said Amanda as she let out a small chuckle. "If I remember correctly, you ripped up my dress that night because you just couldn't wait any longer to have me."

"Well, it was my birthday after all, and I really wanted to get straight to your gift to me as soon as we got back to the hotel . . ." said Randy as he defended himself, a small pout playing on his lips. "If you're still mad at me about that, I'll happily pay you back for that dress I destroyed, as long as you pay me back for the pants you ruined. The belt loops are in total disrepair."

"I'll take your word for it, and I saw you throw those pants away the morning after our first night, after we went at it again . . ." said Amanda as she shook her head. "Anyway, got any other good bedroom memories you want to share with me?"

"Well . . . I do remember that you accidently shoved me out the bed in your sleep about eight months ago, mumbling something about evil monkeys taking your camera while you slept . . ." said the Viper as he let out a small chuckle. "That's not particularly a good memory, but it was a funny one. Care to explain the evil monkeys dream to me?"

"Oh . . . I was dreaming about that evil monkey that stole my camera when we went to the zoo with our parents when we were 14 because Nate seriously wanted to go that one time," mumbled Amanda as she rolled her eyes. "I stood way to close to the monkey cage and the monkey just snatched it out of my hand. That monkey had one creepy, beady eyed stare . . ."

"Oh yeah . . . I remember that. That monkey scared Becky half to death every time she saw it." said Randy as he chuckled at the memory.

"Yeah . . . so, I actually accidently shoved you out of the bed?" asked Amanda as she raised an eyebrow. "Are you serious?"

"Yep; you practically gut checked me in the ribs right off the mattress . . ." said the Viper as he shook his head. "What made it worse was that you fed on a blood bag right before bed, making your hit that much stronger."

"Oh . . . so it was nothing like this then?" Amanda asked as a sudden mischievous smirk on her face. Randy looked at her slightly confused before feeling her hands on his chest. He went wide eyed as he was launched two feet in the air to the left, landing chest first into the mattress. He didn't have enough time to recover however, because as soon as he raised his head, he felt something pin him from behind. When he looked up, he saw Amanda staring straight at him with a grin on her face, now realizing that she was sitting right on top of him. "Ah . . . you just got to love vampire heightened strength, don't you baby?"

"You sneaky, sneaky woman . . ." Randy mumbled into the bedspread as he felt his arms get pinned to his sides. "You were planning to launch me off you and onto the bed, weren't you?"

"Not really. It's more like a spur of the moment kind of thing . . . Kinda like you when you suddenly hit an RKO to an unsuspecting victim in the ring," said Amanda as she looked up to see Nate looking into the room from the doorway. "Can we help with you something Nate?"

"I was just checking to see if you had finally gotten Randy out of his funk over Jasper," said Nate as he poked his head into the room. "And I have seen you have done that, and have now moved on to something else . . . You like being the submissive huh big bro?"

"Nate . . . shut up!" said Randy as he scowled at his brother, just as a knock came from their front door. "Make yourself useful and go see who's at the door."

"Do you have to be so bossy?" grumbled Nate as he shot his brother a blunt look. "Like, really?"

"Nate, I'm your older brother," said Randy as he shot him a superior smirk. "I'm naturally programmed to be bossy of you, so can you please just go and answer the door already?"

"Alright, but only because you said 'please' . . ." said Nate before he walked away in a huff. The snake couple listened in as Nate walked over to the door and opened it, their ears perking up as soon as they heard Nate's loud voice echo out from the other room. "Dad! Calypso! It's so good to see you guys again!"

"You're dad and my mom here . . . ?" mumbled Amanda as she quickly got off of Randy's body and crawled out of bed. "Well, this is sudden."

"You're telling me . . ." mumbled Randy as he sat up on his knees and rolled his shoulders. "I had no idea they were flying here to California this weekend? Did you?"

"Not at all . . ." mumbled Amanda as she shook her head. "Well, there's no use in complaining about it now. Let's go greet them, and babe. . . Pull up your pants before we leave this room. Your tighty-whiteys are showing, again."

"Huh . . ." asked the Viper as he looked down to see that his sweatpants were lower than usual, revealing his white briefs underneath. ". . . How did that happen?"

"Who knows . . . Here, let me help you with that," said Amanda with a smirk on her face as she climbed back onto the bed. She pressed her lips to his as she pulled his pants up, quickly moving away before the Viper can encircle her in his grasp once again. "C'mon, let's go greet the family."

"Fine . . ." said the Viper as he took his mate's hand in his and climbed out of bed. The two walked out of their bedroom to see Nate still talking with Calypso and Bob by the door. Randy had to let out a fake cough in order to get their attention. ". . . Well, this is unexpected."

"Did you really think Calypso and I would miss WrestleMania week? We're former wrestlers after all. We just had to be here." said Bob as the snake couple walked over to them.

"Did Dad and Elaine travel with you guys?" asked Amanda as she hugged her dreadlocks wearing mother before doing the same thing to Bob.

"No, they decided to stay back in St. Louis this time around. Your father couldn't tie up the loose ends at his gym in time and Elaine decided to sit this one out . . ." said Calypso as she gave Randy a hug. "Now, where are my granddaughters? You better not be hiding them from me you two?"

"On the contrary . . . They're right this way." said Amanda as she led her mother over to the bedroom, leaving the three Orton men momentarily by themselves.

"So, how are things at home Dad?" asked Nate as his father took a seat on the couch. "Did anything eventful happen while we've been away?"

"It's all been relatively quiet back home . . ." said Bob as he took off his ever present cowboy hat from off his head. "Well, besides the whole upcoming wedding talk . . . Becky, Sam, Elaine, and Rita can't help but mention it at least once a day, as if they're making sure that it's real by talking about it constantly, day in and day out."

"Hear that Randy? Yours and 'Manda's upcoming wedding is the talk of the family gossip circle . . ." said Nate with a childish grin on his face as he punched his brother in the shoulder.

"Yeah . . . that's nice to know . . ." said Randy as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his bare chest.

"Trust me; it's much worse in our family!" called Calypso from her spot in the bedroom. "Much more relatives equal a lot more female family members calling us and talking about the wedding and all."

"In other words, we're lucky!" said Bob as he shook his head. "Anyway boys, how are you feeling?"

"About what?" asked Nate as Randy looked like he didn't want to continue with the conversation.

"About Jasper . . . That's what," said Bob as he shook his head. "It's not every day that you find out that your own cousin was recruited by the company that terminated his contract to spy on an enemy criminal organization that threatens said company that terminated him from their employment."

"Yeah . . . What are the odds . . ." said Randy as Amanda and Calypso walked back into the room with a twin in arm. "Of course, I'm a little miffed about the while Jasper situation, but someone told me that I just got to trust that Jasper will turn out just fine and that he knows what he's doing."

"Hmm . . . I wonder who that someone could be . . ." said Calypso as she turned to her eldest daughter. "Amanda, do you have any idea on who this 'someone' Randy's talking bout could possibly be?"

"I may have an idea on who the Viper could be talking about . . ." said Amanda as she snuck a look Randy's way. He sent her a small smirk in return. "So, how long are you guys going to be in town?"

"We'll only be around till Monday morning, but we're going to milk every second of it . . ." said Calypso as she sat down next to Bob with Gabi smiling in her arms. ". . . Especially when it comes to spending time with our grandbabies."

"Well, you will have plenty of opportunity to spend time with your grandbabies tonight, if you're willing to babysit them while Amanda and I are out attending the Hall of Fame ceremony," said Randy as he walked over to Amanda and wrapped an arm around her waist as she played with Dani's little fingers. "So, are you two up to it?"

"Randy, if I can survive decades of taking care of you and your siblings as you were growing up, then I can survive one night of taking care of two of my grandchildren," said Bob as he stared his son down with a smile on his face. "What about you Calypso? Are you up for babysitting duty?"

"I just said that I was planning to milk every second of this visit, especially when it comes to spending time with Dani and Gabi now didn't I?" Calypso asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Of course I'm up for babysitting duty tonight. I got nothing else to do anyway."

"I guess it's settled then . . ." said Amanda as she handed Dani off to Randy. "Randy and I will go to the Hall of Fame ceremony tonight while mom and Bob will babysit the girls. And Nate, what are you planning to do tonight anyway?"

"I don't know . . ." said the middle Orton as he shook his head. "Go to the bar; take a walk around the neighborhood . . . All I know is that I'm not spending my whole night cooped up in this room."

"Good thing too . . ." mumbled Calypso as she shook her head. "Or else Bob and I will have to sit in a suite for hours listening to you mope and whine about not having any plans tonight. I hope we don't see you lying out on the couch stuffing your face with ice cream while watching soap operas on TV too . . . That would be terrible."

"That was so uncalled for Calypso . . ." mumbled Nate as he pouted, Calypso's comments also gaining laughs from Randy and Bob and a sheepish expression from Amanda in the process. ". . . So, so uncalled for . . ."

"It may have been uncalled for, but it sure was funny . . ." said Bob as he shook his head.

"At least I now know where 'Manda gets her sarcastic wit from . . ." said Randy as he kissed Dani on her forehead, Amanda looking on with a smile on her face. "Like mother, like daughter."

Amanda's POV; Later in the day

"So, is my baby ready to go out tonight?" Randy whispers rather huskily in my ear as I straighten out the last strands of my hair with my curling iron. Randy pecks my ear lobe before moving downward to my neck, his hands rubbing circles on my bare shoulders as he continues his ministrations.

"I'm just about done . . ." I tell him as I unplug the iron and comb my fingers through my now straightened hair, which now went a little bit past my waist. "I really should consider getting a haircut."

"A haircut . . . No, don't do it," Randy tells me in mild shock as he turns my head so that I faced him eye to eye. "I like your hair just the way it is, lengthwise. Although I do prefer it when it's in a curlier state, you do look quite sexy when you have your hair all stick straight."

"You prefer my hair when it's curlier?" I ask as I raise an eyebrow, this being the first time in a long time I ever heard him say something like this to me.

"Yeah . . . It gives you that sexy, wild appearance that I love. Plus, when you go all red eyed on people, it just increases your sexiness even more to me," Randy tells me as he suddenly starts pouting. "So can you please go back to your curlier hairstyle? For me?"

"I never realized you like my curlier hair that much," I tell him as I put my curling iron back into its bag and then back into the suitcase. "Don't worry Mr. Viper; the straight hair look is not a long term thing. After we get back from tonight's ceremony, I'll wet it and let it air dry overnight. It should be back to its curlier form by tomorrow."

"Thank you . . ." Randy tells me childishly as he hugs me from behind. "I know you may be thinking it's weird for me to act like this over something as simple as your hair, but I am being perfectly honest with you when I say that I really love it when it's curly rather when it's straight."

"It is a different side of you that I have barely seen before," I say with a smirk as I kiss his cheek. "But I'll just chalk it up to it being that you're being protective of my curly hair because it's one of the many aspects you just love about me."

"You took the words right out of my mouth . . ." said the Viper as he finally lets me go. I turn around to finally see him in all his suited glory. He was dressed in a black suit, complete with a black shirt and black dress shoes. The only thing that he was wearing that wasn't black was his tie, which was surprisingly a very sunny yellow. "So baby, how do I look?"

"Very sexy; and nice twist with the yellow tie babe. . ." I say with a smirk as I grab my purse from off the bed.

"I thought I do something different. As you well know, yellow isn't really up there on my list of preferred colors I would wear daily." he tells me with that mischievous smirk on his face.

"That's true . . ." I say with a smirk as I looked down at myself. For tonight's ceremony, I decided on a shimmery gold, body-hugging sleeveless dress with a sweetheart neckline that cinched in at my waist and flared out at the bottom in a small mermaid type train. I instantly fell in love with the dress as soon as I spotted it on the dress rack, and lucky for me it was a perfect fit. It complimented my skin tone quite nicely. "And what about me baby . . . How do I look?"

"Like a feminized Oscar statue!" exclaims Nate as he popped his head into the room just before Randy could say his piece. In instant retaliation, I threw the first thing that I could grab right at his head. It ended up being a pair of Randy's rolled up dirty socks. "C'mon . . . I thought what I said was a compliment."

"It wasn't Nate. It so wasn't . . ." said Randy as he shot his brother a narrow-eyed look before turning back to me. "And as for you 'Manda, you look absolutely breathtaking."

"Not like a feminized Oscar statue?" I ask him with a small pout on my face as he leads me by the hand out into the living room.

"Definitely not like a feminized Oscar statue . . ." Randy tells me reassuringly as he pecked my cheek, just as my mother suddenly appeared before us with her camera in hand to take a photo, quickly snapping one before either of us could react.

"I barely get a photo of you two looking all romantic . . ." says my mother as she shoots me a big smile. "I never really took a prom photo of you two either, but I guess this will have to do. Care to pose for another photo you two?"

"Like you said mom; we're not going to prom. We're going to the Hall of Fame induction ceremony," I tell her a she just snaps another photo of us anyway. "But since you just took another photo of us anyway, I guess you don't care."

"Nope . . ." says Mom as Bob stands by the crib with Gabi in his arms. "Besides, I'm your mother and Randy's soon to be mother-in-law. In other words, I can take as much photos of you two as I want."

"As long as they don't appear on social media, or are shown to anyone if they're that embarrassing, I'm fine with it," says Randy as I look at him with a sheepish scowl on my face. "Now c'mon honey. We have to say bye to the twins and then we got to go."

"Fine . . ." I say as we walk over to the crib. I quickly lean into the crib and kiss the sleeping Dani on her forehead before moving to Gabi, who looked like she was about to cry. "Aw . . . what's wrong Gabi?"

"I guess she's doesn't want to see you two go . . ." said Bob as I kiss my youngest child on the cheek. "She's definitely like her daddy . . . He would act like this too if he ever saw me or his mom leave."

"And another embarrassing baby moment of mine crawls out of the woodwork and rears its ugly head once again," mumbled the sheepish looking Viper as he too kisses Gabi's cheek. "C'mon Gabi . . . we'll be back. I promise. You don't need to cry. We'll be back soon."

Gabi lets out another small cry before settling down, her little fist suddenly reaching out to touch my hair as her eyes looked curious as she stared at me.

"Maybe she's not sad that you guys are leaving . . ." suggests Nate as he walks over to us. "Maybe she's sad that you changed your hairstyle 'Manda."

"That could probably be it . . . This is the first time she's seen you with straight hair babe." says Randy as I feel his arm wrap around my waist.

"That just gives me even more of a reason to change my hairstyle back into its curlier look . . ." I say with a smirk as I turn to the door. "Let's go babe. We have a ceremony to get to."
