Chapter 70: Monica's News
Randy's POV
"'Manda, are you ready to go yet?" I call out as I turn to face the bathroom door. "Nate is expecting us at Monica and Wade's room in less than 20 minutes."
"I'm almost done!" she yells back for her answer as she walks out the room to face me. I couldn't help but smile a little at what she was currently wearing, which was a pair of jean shorts and a black lace bra that did her chest justice by showcasing her glorious rack. She held a different colored shirt in each hand, one blue and one purple, which gives me the familiar feeling that she was having a hard time picking out her entire outfit. "I just haven't figured out which shirt I want to wear today."
"If you want my opinion 'Manda, blue has always been a nice color on you," I say as I point to the shirt in her right hand. "Just put that one on and let's go."
"Fine," she tells me in defeat as she throws the purple shirt in her left hand on top of her open suitcase. "Since it is your birthday after all, I'll go with your suggestion and wear the blue shirt."
"Wait, you're actually going with my suggestion?" I ask with a smirk on my face as she walks over to me. "Damn, if I knew you were going to be so compliant with me today, I would have suggested something else for you to wear."
"Like what?" she asks me curiously as she quickly puts on her shirt, thus obscuring my view of her beautiful boobs.
"You know that RKO t-shirt you decided to turn into a crop top with a deep v neck from a few years' back?" I ask her with a hopeful look on my face. She quickly nods her head yes. "Well, if you still have it, I would have suggested you wear it today."
"Yeah, I think I still have it lying somewhere inside my suitcase," 'Manda tells me as she turns to look at her suitcase. "But since I'm a mom now, I don't think I'm going to be wearing that shirt as often as I used to all those years back."
"C'mon, can't you wear it today? Can't you just wear it as an impromptu gift for me today?" I ask with a small pout on my face to boot as I take her hands in mine.
"Uh . . . no," she tells me bluntly as I let her hands go so she could put on her sandals. "But, I may wear it tonight just to see if it still fits me."
"I'm so hoping it will . . ." I tell her with a firm nod of my head as she grabs her purse. "Now let's go. Nate's waiting for us down the hall."
"Alright, alright . . . Lead the way," she tells me with an exasperated sigh as she starts pushing me out the room. I maneuver my way out of it so that I could hold her by her waist, my arm wrapping snugly around her stomach as I lead her out the suite and down the hall to her sister's room. "So, we're picking up our girls and then taking a walk around the city right?"
"Yep; that's basically how I want to spend the majority of my birthday this year," I tell her simply as I spot Wade and Monica's door about 15 feet away. "Unless your sister and my brother did decide to throw a huge party in my honor. . . Would I actually have to attend it, even though I never wanted it in the first place this year?"
"Technically . . . yeah," 'Manda tells me bluntly as she does a small shrug. "You can't be that rude and not attend your own party, even if you never wanted one to begin with Ran. If that does happen to be the case, well, you'll just have to smirk and bear it for the night."
"Great . . ." I say with a roll of my eyes as we finally reach the door. I knock on it three times, and Nate ends up answering it right after the third knock, as if he used his enhanced speed to get to the door quickly, or he was waiting right behind it all this time, just waiting for 'Manda and I to arrive. "Hello Nate! We want our girls back now."
"Hello 'Manda. Hello birthday boy!" my brother greets us with a smirk on his face as he moves out of our way so that we can step inside. "You can have Dani and Gabi back, but not before you hear some big news."
"Oh great . . . You and Monica went ahead and planned a big birthday party for me, didn't you?" I say with a small scowl on my face as I stared my brother down. "I already told you two that I didn't want a big birthday party this year."
"We heard you! Time and time again . . ." Nate tells me with a strong nod of his head. "And we decided to respect your wishes. Monica and I decided to not go with a party, like you wanted. We decided we'll keep things small and just have a birthday dinner in your honor at a restaurant that's close by to the hotel. It'll be just us and some of our friends on the roster. However, that wasn't the big news that's going to be said here today."
"Then what is the big news then?" Amanda asks for the both of us as we spot Wade coming out of another room, pushing our girls' stroller as he went as Monica walked right behind not; not looking like her usual self this morning. To be honest, she looked a little sick. "And sis, are you okay? You look a little ill, like you're about to throw up ill."
"Well . . . Monica says that her looking sick this morning is all part of the big news that's going to be shared with all of us," says Nate as he takes a seat on the couch. "And since Monica here is the only one that actually knows this 'big news', I'll let her speak now."
"Wade, do you have any idea what's going on?" I ask the werewolf as he passes the stroller off to Amanda.
"I'm just as lost as you are lad . . ." mumbles Wade as he sits down next to Nate. "I woke up this morning to see that Monica was nowhere to be found. The next thing I know, Monica walks in five minutes later saying that she went off to see Dr. Amman because she woke up feeling ill this morning. I asked her what was wrong, but she told me that she'll explain everything once you two got here."
"Sis, what's going on?" Amanda asks her suspiciously as Monica shot her a small smirk. "What's the matter?"
"Oh . . . nothing really," says Monica as she walks to the center of the room. "When I woke up this morning, I was feeling so bad that I thought I came down with some sort of stomach bug. So, I went over to the trainer's room to ask for his opinion. It turns out I didn't come down with a stomach bug after all."
"Than . . . what did you come down with then Monica?" Wade asks her curiously as she walks over to him. "What made you so sick this morning?"
"Well . . . Like I said: I didn't come down with a stomach bug," she tells him as she lifts up the baggy shirt she was wearing and turning to her side, showcasing a small bulge that was jutting out where her stomach was. "It turns out I came down with the pregnancy bug."
"WHAT?" Amanda asks her in complete shock, her face lighting up like a light as she walked over to her sister. Wade looked at her in absolute wide eyed shock, while Nate and I exchanged glances of disbelief with each other. "You're actually pregnant!"
"I am, which means you are going to be the aunt of a werewolf baby within the next year," Monica tells her sister with a big grin on her face as the sisters hug, both of them careful to not squish her growing little bump. "And once you and Randy officially get married, the baby can call the Viper here his uncle."
"Who would have thought . . . I'll eventually call a little werewolf my niece or my nephew one day," I say as I bring a hand to my forehead. "How far in the pregnancy are you Monica?"
"Dr. Amman says I'm most likely two months along by now . . ." she tells us with a smirk on her face as she looked at her belly. "Which means come November most likely; I'll be holding my little baby in my arms."
"Huh . . . now that I think about it, this would explain your behavior in the last few matches you were in these past couple of weeks," says Nate as he brings a hand to his chin. "You would always make sure your opponent never touched your stomach, as if you were protecting it for some reason, and now we know why."
"I know right?" Monica says as she turns to my brother. "For some reason, my instincts always told me to protect my stomach at all cost for some weird reason that I couldn't fully understand. And now, I have my answer. I'm going to be a mom, Wade's going to be a dad, and you guys were the first to know the good news."
"Thank you for sharing it with us. So Wade, what's it like to find out that you'll be a first time dad in about seven months huh?" I ask as I turn to the British werewolf, but he looks like he hadn't move since Monica announced their good news to the rest of us. "Uh . . . Wade?"
"Wade love?" Monica says as a look of concern comes across her face as she walks over to the now frozen werewolf and crouches down so that they were at eye level. "Are you okay? You haven't spoken a word since I announced that I was having a baby, our baby Mr."
"I'm . . . I'm fine," Wade finally says as he lets out a deep breath. "Finding out that you were pregnant shocked me a little, that's all."
"Shocked you a little?" Nate asks with a small shake of his head as we all turn to him. "You were basically frozen in place till now, and you say that you were only shocked a little? You got to be kidding me."
"Okay . . . So I was shocked, a lot," says Wade as he shakes his head. "I just . . . I just didn't expect to hear that I'm going to be a first time dad, that's all."
"Well, you heard it right from your girlfriend's mouth. You're going to be a dad, plain and simple," says Amanda as she gives him a quick hug. "Wow, you guys have a lot ahead of you now that you have a bundle of joy coming in a few months' time."
"Well, actually, there's one thing we're not going to worry about so much . . ." says Monica as she sat down on the other side of Wade.
"And what's that?" I ask as I raise an eyebrow.
"Well, Wade and I got to talking, and we decided that it would be the best for both of us to move in together. You know, have a place to ourselves." Monica says with a chuckle as Wade wraps an arm around her shoulders.
"I see . . ." Amanda says as she brings a hand to her chin. "But you two live in two entirely different states. Currently, you still live with Randy and me up in Missouri sis, and Wade owns a condo in Florida. Have you at least figured out which state you two will live in?"
"Not exactly . . ." says Wade as a nervous look comes across his face, just as a superior smirk starts to show on Monica's. "But Monica's argument for Missouri is starting to sound more appealing than my argument for Florida, despite the fact that Florida gets better weather than Missouri . . . No offense."
"None taken . . . I got to admit, Missouri can be quite lousy sometimes when it comes to the weather, especially when it's tropical storm season . . ." I mumble as I think about it. "What about living in England? The UK isn't in consideration as a place to live for you two?"
"I brought that up before Florida," says Wade as he shakes his head. ". . . And Monica instantly shot me down."
"Yes, yes I did . . ." Monica tells us bluntly as she places a hand on her hip, her tone instantly telling us that her verdict on the subject was final.
"So, when are you going to tell the family and the rest of our friends hmm?" Amanda asks her sister as she checks to see if the girls were asleep or not.
"We definitely have to call up the family in a little bit to share the good news," says Monica as she brings a hand to her chin. "As for the friends, I guess we'll just tell them our good news at the birthday dinner tonight."
"When exactly is it supposed to start?" I ask with a shake of my head, gaining the small feeling that I wasn't going to get myself out of this one.
"It's starts at seven, and I especially expect you to be there Mr.!" Monica tells me as she shoots me a narrow eyed look.
"And if I decide not to show up?" I ask in a challenging tone as I cross my arms.
"Oh . . . I'm going to make sure you show up," Amanda tells me as she pushes the stroller over to the door. "And if you try to get out of it, then I guess there will be no repeat of what happened this morning now will it?"
"Ooh . . . 'Manda's threatening you with the no sex on your birthday threat again," I hear Nate say under his breath as Wade lets out a small chuckle. "How do you respond to that big bro?"
"Like the no sex threat is going to work on me again 'Manda," I say with a chuckle as she looks at me with an eyebrow raised. "Can't you think of anything better?"
"I wasn't talking about threatening you with no sex," she tells me with a smirk, which instantly stops me from chuckling any further. "I was thinking more along the lines of sending a very realistic illusion into your mind . . . Can you guess what kind of illusion it could be?"
"Does it have anything to do with spiders?" I instantly say for a response as she lets out a small chuckle.
"Are you still afraid of those eight legged critters lad?" Wade asks me with a smile on his face as Monica lets out a small chuckle. "You have got to get over that fear of yours one day!"
"He really should, but until then, I'm using it as great leverage to get him to do what I want him to do," Amanda tells him as her smirk grows even bigger. "And as for you Mr., I was thinking more along the lines of putting you through the illusion of you no longer having your manhood, or not having it at all to begin with."
"You . . . You would do something that terrible to me?" I ask in complete shock. "Even on my own birthday?"
"Even on your own birthday . . ." she tells me with a fang-bearing grin as we hear Wade chuckling from the couch. "You shouldn't be laughing Wade. Monica could do the exact same thing to you if she wants."
"Like she would ever do that to me . . ." Wade says with a smirk before turning to Monica, who was shooting him an expression that could only be described as the pinnacle of seriousness. "You would really do that to me?"
"You have no idea what I can do to that mind of yours if I set my mind to it," she tells him in a voice so cold that it sent shivers down my spine. As soon as the British werewolf let out an audible gulp, Monica's expression changed to that of a sickeningly sweet smile, which ended up rattling Wade even more. "Anyway 'Manda, Nate knows the location where the dinner will be held tonight, so he'll be playing tour guide for the rest of you guys."
"I'm fine with that, as long as Nate doesn't get us purposefully lost or something . . ." 'Manda says as she opens up the door. "We'll leave you and Wade to your phone calls now Monica. Randy, Nate, let's go."
"Isn't she just commanding bro? She has such a bossy demeanor to her." Nate asks with a smirk as he jumps out of his chair, obviously trying to be funny or something. I just shake my head as I drag him out the suite, Wade and Monica waving goodbye as I closed the door behind us. I then turned my head back around to see Amanda was shooting my brother an annoyed glare as he tried to avoid eye contact with her.
"Randy, you wouldn't mind it if your brother went missing for a few days right?" she asks with a scowl on her face as Nate continues to look somewhere else. "I can just make him disappear for a day or two, or a week, or a month, or maybe even a year . . ."
"The idea sounds tempting, but nah, I'm going to have to decline your idea," I say as I quickly take control of the stroller. I also wrap an arm around her waist in order to keep her close to me, just in case she decided to jump my brother or something. "Let's just try to enjoy the rest of the day okay? It's my birthday after all."
"Fine . . ." she mumbles as her face softens up a bit. "But if Nate says one more thing to annoy me, I'm so kicking his butt when we get back."
"Yeah, I have a feeling you're going to keep your word on that one!" I say with a chuckle as we walk toward the elevator, my concerned looking younger brother falling right behind us.
Amanda POV's; Hours later
"I know you don't like your hair getting combed Gabi, but tonight is a special occasion and I want you to look good for it," I say with a scowl on my face as I continued to fix up my annoyed daughter's hair. Right from the start, Gabi has been showing her disapproval of me combing and brushing out her hair by letting out little shouts and groans and moving her head in order for me to not get the job done. "Just hold still for me Gabi. I'm almost done anyway . . . If only you were born with straighter hair like Dani. Then we wouldn't be going through this little issue missy."
"Gabi's still giving you trouble huh?" I turn my head to see the Viper appearing from the bathroom dressed in a dark red button-down shirt and black dress pants, a smirk gracing his face as I continued to comb out our youngest child's unruly hair.
"You have no idea . . . She just doesn't keep her head still," I say as I use a hairband to tie her hair up in a loose ponytail, or a bunny tail, to be more precise. "There, now I'm done. The torture's over Gabi."
"Good; and I see Dani's all ready to go as well," Randy tells me as he points to our other daughter lying right next to me. Dani was looking back at us with a smile on her face, dressed in a light blue dress and matching sandals. I had already put her hair up in a ponytail, just like her sister, who I dressed in a matching pink dress minutes prior. "All I need to do is put on my shoes and shave a bit and I'm all ready to go, but as for you . . ."
"Yes I know. I'm way behind the rest of you in terms of getting ready . . ." I say as I place Gabi down next to her sister. "I haven't even picked out an outfit yet."
"That's not good . . . You know what? Here, allow me . . ." he says with that mischievous smirk of his. I watch him with a keen eye as he walks over to my open suitcase and plucks out a few things. "I'm going to pick out your outfit tonight."
"You want to pick out my outfit tonight?" I ask in slight shock as he puts back one of my bras and grabs another one. "Why would you want to do that?"
"Well, I figured since it's my birthday, I figured I should at least have some say in what you would wear for my birthday today," he says with a smirk as he walks back over to me with his haul. "It's only fair right?"
"In a way, I guess . . ." I say as he hands me my clothes. I look over the clothes to see that he picked out for me one of my black lace bras, a matching pair of panties, and a plum colored, body hugging mini dress that has a deep V-neck, deep enough that'll it show a part of my bra no matter how many times I try to hide it. "Someone wants me to dress sexy for them tonight."
"Like I said: it's only fair right?" he tells me with his smirk still in place. "Now go get ready. I'll stay here and watch the girls."
"Fine . . ." I say with a chuckle as I get up and walk to the bathroom. I quickly shower and wash my hair before drying myself off and getting dressed for the night. When I was done with that, I stepped out of the bathroom to see Randy playing peek-a-boo with Dani and Gabi on the bed, both of them smiling as their father continued their little game. "Having fun there Randy?"
"What can I say? The girls love their peek-a-boo . . ." I hear him say as I quickly comb out my wet hair with my fingers before moving on to my makeup. It didn't take me long to hear his footsteps coming closer to me; his head appearing in my field of vision as his hands and arms wrapped themselves around my waist. "You look beautiful baby . . ."
"Well, it was you that picked out my outfit tonight after all . . ." I say as I feel his lips on my neck. "And don't worry, if you're wondering if we're going to end the night like you want to . . ."
"We're going to do it?" he asks me hopefully as he grinds himself a little against my backside for emphasis.
"We'll do it . . ." I say with a chuckle as he continues with his grinding. "Now quit with your grinding and let me finish applying my makeup. I will not have you end up with a boner before we leave."
"C'mon, you know you are enjoying this just as much as I am . . ." he tells me childishly as he clings onto me even more. "Don't deny it."
"I'm not denying that I like it . . ." I say as I quickly apply my lipstick before moving onto my eye shadow. "I'm just saying that I don't want you to arrive late at your own birthday dinner all because you decided to get hard early."
"Knowing my brother, he can't help but let his balls think for him instead of his brain, but that's my opinion."
"NATE!" exclaims the Viper as we turn around to see the younger brother standing at our bedroom doorway. "Can't you just give me and my fiancée some privacy man?"
"Nope; I need to get you guys moving now, so all your lovey-dovey stuff is going to have to wait till later," he tells us with a smirk on his face. "Now get the girls into their stroller and finish getting ready. We have a dinner to get to and I have to make sure that the guest of honor is there."
"Considering I'm the guest of honor, I really doubt they'll start it without me." Randy argues back as he rests his chin on my shoulder.
"That may be true, but I'm starting to get sock of Randy's sexual innuendos, so I want us to leave now before Randy decided to act on those sexual innuendos," Nate argues back as I finish applying my makeup. "'Manda, help me out here?"
"Nate does make a good point Ran . . ." I say as I quickly walk over to my shoes. "We better get you to that birthday dinner before you start to get all lustful on us, especially me."
"You people are no fun . . ." grumbles the Viper as I slip on my heels. "I'll put the girls in their stroller . . ."
"Now that's a good boy . . ." I say as I grab my purse. After I give myself one final look in the mirror, I join the boys out by the suite's front door, finally ready to enjoy the evening. "Alright Nate, we're all ready to go. Lead the way."
"Certainly my soon to be sister-in-law . . ." says the younger Orton as he flashes me a toothy smile. He opens our suite door wide open and steps out of our way so that we could exit the room first; him following soon afterward with a smile on his face. "Right this way you two. The sooner we get there . . ."
"The sooner we can come back to the hotel?" Randy suggests with a grunt as he begins to push the stroller forward. Nate instantly responds back by slapping his brother right in the back of his hypermobile shoulder.
"No you sourpuss!" Nate says with a scowl on his face as Randy looks at him with a controlled smirk on his. "The sooner we can have some fun tonight."
"If you say so . . ." Randy tells him with a shrug as I shake my head. He then leans his head to my ear. "I would have so preferred a night in though . . ."
"Just play nice tonight okay?" I suggest as I push his head back. "Who knows? Maybe you'll enjoy yourself tonight."
"For some reason, I'm seriously not sure about that . . ." he tells me with a sheepish look on his face. I let out a small laugh as we reach the elevator, but for some reason, I get the feeling that he may be on to something.
