Chapter 80: Dealing with the Future

Amanda's POV; The next morning

Buzz . . . Buzz . . . Buzz . . . Buzz

"Whose phone is that?" I moan tiredly as I feel Randy's arm pull me closer into his chest. I feel his face bury itself into my neck, not so much to kiss it, but more to hide himself away from the ongoing noise. "Wait a minute . . . That buzzing noise is coming from your side of the bed Randy. That's your phone that's annoying the hell out of us!"

"I know . . ." he moans into my neck as I crack my eyes open to see the Hawaiian sunshine pouring into the room, even with the curtains covering the windows. "But I don't want to answer my phone. I'm on vacation. I don't want to take any phone calls, especially if they're from the workplace."

"You are really trying to stay away from anything work related on this vacation aren't you?" I say with a chuckle as I try to twist myself around in Randy's tight grip. When he finally figures out what I'm trying to do, Randy loosens his grip so that I could finally twist around to face him without any difficulty.

"Staying away from anything work related is basically the main point of a vacation baby . . ." the Viper says with a sleepy smirk on his face as he finally opens his eyes, those icy blues of his just staring right into me. "Vacations also happen to be the time for families and couples to really reconnect with each other, and that's what I'm determined to do as your fiancé and as the father in this family."

"Uh huh . . . Just answer your phone already so that the buzzing noise can finally stop please?" I ask with a small pout on my face. Randy lets out a sigh in defeat before reaching behind him with his other arm to grab his phone right off the dresser. ". . . Thank you."

"No problem . . . Although, I'm still reluctant to answer my line . . ." said the Viper as he let go of my waist and transferred his phone from one hand to the other. "Oh wait . . . It's not a call from work . . . It's a call from my sister."

"You better answer it . . ." I say quickly as I wrap my arm around his waist. "You don't want to keep her waiting on you for too long baby."

"Yeah . . . too late for that piece of advice 'Manda," he tells me with a sheepish look on his face as he shows me his phone's screen. It was displaying the notification that Becky had called him five times before the current call. "She's so going to kick my ass when we get back to St. Louis. We both know that she easily gets annoyed by things like family members not answering her phone calls."

"You should probably rescue your ass now by answering your phone . . ." I suggest as I slightly push his phone toward his ear. "I want you in one piece for our wedding Mr., and knowing Becky, she will not hesitate to rip you apart for something so minor like you not answering her phone calls."

"She won't go into 'Rip you Apart' mode until she starts texting me . . ." Randy says with a superior smirk on his face as his phone did one last buzz. When he looked at the screen, he actually visibly paled. "Oh no . . . Becky started texting me!"

"Well . . . I guess it's a good thing that you're all the way out here in Hawaii then," I say with a smirk on my face as I enjoy the spooked expression on his face. "Answer now! Maybe you still have a chance to save your cute pale ass."

"I'll try it, and stop bringing up my pale ass into every conversation we have! I get it! It's pale! I can't help it! I just don't like the idea of tanning my balls okay?" he says in exasperation as I let out a small chuckle. He playfully covers my mouth as he presses the call icon on the phone, so I shoot him a faux angry look with my eyes in return. "Hi sis . . . I'm sorry for not answering your previous calls. . . You want me to put you on speakerphone? Alright . . ."

"Thank you Randy, and yes I will be kicking your ass for not answering my earlier calls once you and the others come back to St. Louis. You better watch out because your ass is in jeopardy once I see you," says Becky as soon as Randy puts her on speaker. "Morning 'Manda!"

"Good morning Becky!" I say with a smirk as I finally move Randy's hand off my face. "And I know it's a bit of a stretch, but can you please not hurt your brother too much? I still need him in one piece for the wedding!"

"I will try to hold back, but I make no promises . . ." she says before letting out a slightly diabolical chuckle. "Anyway, I have some important news to share with you guys. There was a major breakthrough in the Rochelle case!"

"Really . . . Like, really Becky?" Randy instantly asks as he gets up into a sitting position. "Did Rochelle, at least, finally get caught?"

"No, but her whole operation is finally going kaput, for the most part . . ." says Becky as I rest my head on my pillow. "Due to the information that we managed to pry out from Xavier, we managed to stop the operation Rochelle had set up in southern St. Louis. Also, the covens in the West have been reporting in that they have been breaking up some of Rochelle's operations in those areas too. A few of them are still operational, but it won't be long before those are down the drain as well."

"You didn't answer my question though Becky . . ." Randy says with a small groan as he rubs his face in slight frustration. "Did Rochelle finally get caught yet?"

"Uh . . . No, she just . . . disappeared," Becky says as I raise an eyebrow in disbelief. "Xavier mentioned that she was in St. Louis for the past few days, but that was the last time he saw her. Lackeys that were part of Rochelle's St. Louis cell were interrogated, and all of them basically said the same thing. The last time any of them saw her was a few days ago, but there's been no trace of her since then. It's like she disappeared from the face of the Earth."

"If only it was that easy. . ." Randy mumbles with a shake of his head. "Knowing Rochelle, she probably just retreated for now in order to regroup . . . She'll be back, probably with a different plan, but she'll be back."

"If you say so . . ." Becky says as we hear her sigh. "Anyway, that was all I wanted to tell you guys. I'll leave you guys to your well-deserved vacation now. Bring me back a souvenir. Bye!"

"Bye Becky!" I say with a smirk as the Viper says a quick bye as well. He hangs up and quickly puts his phone back on to the dresser before lying back down in bed. Frustration was the dominant emotion on his face as he stared up at the ceiling, and I for one, wasn't planning on letting it stay there for long. "Randy?"

"Hmm?" he mumbles in response as I sit up and straddle his waist. "Don't try to cheer me up 'Manda . . . I'm too frustrated to be put back into a good mood."

"You're frustrated that Rochelle hasn't been caught yet huh?" I ask with a small pout on my face as I rest my hands on his bare chest.

"Her operation is going down the toilet, her lackeys are being gathered up, but she still manages to avoid captivity, again . . ." he grumbles as he continues to look up at the ceiling. "That girl is persistent to no end . . ."

"You think she'll come to you again like she did before?" I simply ask as I cross my arms over my chest.

"Probably . . ." he says to me as he finally looks me in the eye. "She's done it before, and she'll probably do it again . . . I'm sorry. I must be bumming you out with my frustrated attitude right now . . . I shouldn't be acting like this when we're on vacation and all."

"Thank you. You just figured out why I'm straddling you in the first place," I say with a chuckle as he slowly sits up. "I was planning to cheer you up and get you out of your Rochelle-induced frustrated funk myself, but I guess you are getting yourself out of that all on your own."

"And how exactly did you plan to get me out of my Rochelle-induced frustrated funk in the first place huh?" he asks me with a smirk on his face.

"I would have thought of something . . ." I say with a nod of my head as I quickly crawl off him and off the bed. I bypass our sleeping girls to get to the adjacent bathroom to wash my face. I don't even get the chance to turn on the tap water when Randy's reflection appears in the mirror behind my own, signaling that he was indeed in the room with me. "What are you doing Mr. Viper?"

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm trying to get ready for the day!" he tells me with a smirk on his face as I feel his crotch rub against my backside. "Sorry, I'm just trying to grab my toothbrush to brush my teeth, that's all."

"Says the guy who's rubbing his manhood against his fiancée's prone booty . . ." I say with a shake of my head as I turn on the tap water and splash some water on my face, my butt rubbing against Randy's crotch once again. " I know you're not bothering to move back there Randy. You're just standing still so you can enjoy the feeling of my ass rubbing against your balls."

"Well . . . guilty as charged." Randy says with a chuckle as I grab a towel from beside the sink. I quickly dry off my face before grabbing my toothbrush. For the next five minutes, Randy and I spend our time cleaning our teeth while nudging each other in the gut with our elbows in order to get the bigger space in front of the sink, me beating him by about eight nudges. After rinsing our mouths with mouthwash, we quickly dry our faces before Randy decides to be a gentleman. . .

. . . And when I mean gentleman, I mean he picked me up in a fireman's carry and brought me over to the bed, and then he unceremoniously dropped me on the bed.

"Very funny . . ." I grumble as I pick my face up from the sheets. "I hope you don't plan on pulling this stunt on our wedding night."

"I won't, but it would be fitting since we are both work wrestlers and all," Randy says with a smirk on his face as I feel his body hover over mine. "I really can't wait until our wedding night baby."

"Why?" I ask playfully as I turn around to look him in the eye. "Why can't you wait until our wedding night arrives hmm?"

"As if you couldn't figure it out on your own, my sexy snake mama," he tells me as he kisses my neck a few times, going painstakingly slow as one of his hands rub up and down my bare leg. I let out a small hiss of pleasure when his lips find one of the sensitive spots along my neck, his tongue just tasting my skin as I pull his body down onto my own. "Our wedding night would be our first time having our fun as husband and wife 'Manda. You of all people should have figured that out easily babe."

Normal POV

"Of course . . ." Amanda said with a shake of her head as she picked the Viper's chin up so that he was looking her in the eye. "It all boils down to sex with you, doesn't it?"

"No it doesn't . . ." Randy told her playfully as he rolled off her. "You and I both know that I love you for more than just your sexy body 'Manda. Yeah, you're hot, and that's always good, but you are a very intelligent and caring woman who always knows a way to keep me centered when I start to lose it a little."

"That's very sweet of you to say babe . . ." Amanda said with a grin on her face as she pat his chest. "And speaking of intelligent, I've been thinking about getting a college degree one day, although I have no idea what subject I want to major in when I finally decide to apply to a school."

"You're thinking about getting a college degree?" Randy asked with an eyebrow raised. "What suddenly brought this on?"

"Just think about it Randy . . . Sooner or later, I'm going to have to retire from in-ring action so that I could focus on caring for the girls as they grow older. If I'm going to take care of them like a mother should, well, I'm going to have to get a different job in a few years to help keep the income flowing, and college degrees do tend to help in that department," Amanda said with a contemplative look on her face as she looked up at the ceiling. "Many wrestlers that retire from the ring go on to have different jobs in the years afterward . . . Soon enough, and I'm very reluctant to say it, but I have to because it's a damn good possibility in our futures, we'll be joining their ranks Randy."

"Wow . . . I guess you're right on that one babe . . . I may still be in my thirties now, but I know my time in the ring will eventually wind down in the years to come. We may be vampires, but we can't keep wrestling for the public forever," said the Viper as he too looked up at the ceiling. "I just really haven't given much thought to what I'm going to do with myself after I leave the ring for good."

"I'm sure you'll think of something when the time calls for it . . ." Amanda said as she turned her head to face him. "Maybe you can open up your own gym or something . . . ?"

"Maybe we can open up our own gym is what you really should be saying 'Manda . . ." Randy said as a smile came across his face, the particular pronunciation of we in his statement instantly getting his mate's attention. "Think about it . . . We could go into business together and start up our own gym, or maybe we can run the gym your father owns and expand it?"

"Hmm . . . That does sound promising . . ." Amanda said with a chuckle as she brought a hand to her chin. "Dad always told me and my siblings that he wanted to leave his gym to one of us before he dies. I could always tell from his thoughts that he always wanted to leave it to Mason since he's the oldest, but Mason really has no interest in it . . . And since I'm the next oldest after my brother . . ."

"That leaves you in a very good standing to inherit the gym from your dad! It's perfect!" Randy said with a smirk as he turned onto his side and wrapped an arm around his mate. "You will probably take the lead on the business and number-crunching part of running a gym though. You know I'm basically crap when it comes to math . . . It hurts my head too much sometimes."

"Looks like I'm eyeing a business degree in my future then," Amanda said with a playful sigh as she too turned onto her side to stare at her smirking beau. "What about you? What would you be doing exactly?"

"Handling the day-to-day activities of course, among other things in the gym that doesn't involve the usage of math . . ." Randy said with an adamant shake of his head, which gave him an instant laugh from 'Manda in the process. "Anyway, I have a pretty good feeling that you're plans on getting a college degree has another reason behind it than just needing one for a job babe."

"Well . . . Getting a degree would give me a new sense of accomplishment that's different from all the accomplishments that I gained from wrestling over the years. . ." Amanda said with a shrug. "Plus, it would be a good example for the girls if at least one of us got their degree."

"Those are some very good points . . . Hmm, maybe I should consider getting a degree as well," mumbled Randy as a thoughtful look came across his face. "Preferably a degree suited for the sports world."

"That is something that you can do, but not right now . . ." Amanda said with a smirk on her face as she heard the sounds of loud footsteps going down the hallway, most likely coming from Nate. "You still have a few good years to compete in the ring in you Mr. Viper."

"So do you Ms. Anaconda, well at least until the girls start preschool. . ." said Randy as a sheepish look came across his face.

"At least until the girls start preschool, but that's not for another three-four years," Amanda said with a smirk on her face as she climbed onto her mate and straddled him one again. "And that means you are stuck with me and the twins on the road for another three-four years my dear fiancé."

"Babe . . . I wouldn't have it any other way . . ." said the Viper as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Amanda leaned down to Randy's head and the met in a searing kiss and eventually began to get lost in their own little world, which made them unable to notice Alanna silently entering the room with a smirk on her face and her camera in hand. She held back a giggle as she watched as her father wound his fingers into Amanda's hair as she began to claw her fingers across the upper part of his bare back, leaving red claw marks as they continued making out.

"Amanda . . . why do I . . . have the feeling . . . we're being watched?" Randy asked her in between kisses as Alanna began to silently and repeatedly take their photo.

"Because . . . I think . . . we are," Amanda as she finally managed to move her lips away from his far enough that she could actually see what was going on around them. When she spotted Alanna by the door, she shot her a blunt stare. "Alanna, do you have to do this now?"

"What? You should have expected this to happen sometime during this vacation!" Alanna exclaimed as she waved her camera in the air. "I'm taking photos of you two, whether you like it or not!"

"Can you at least refrain from taking photos of us while we're in our bedroom at least?" Randy asked with a shake of his head. "We were in the middle of a private moment missy!"

"You were? I didn't notice!" Alanna said playfully as she looked through the gallery of photos she just taken.

"Alanna, give us your camera." Randy said with a stern look on his face as he held his hand out to her.

"No way!" said Alanna as she took a step back. "You'll probably just erase all the photos I taken already!"

"Not all of them," said Randy as he shook his head. "Just the ones you took of 'Manda and I just now. Don't let me get Ms. Anaconda here to use her powers to take your camera out of your hands little missy, because I will do it."

"Fine, but don't erase all the photos." Alanna said adamantly as she handed her camera to her father.

"I won't," Randy said as he and his mate perused through the gallery. "Hey! There are actually some pretty good photos of us in here."

"Just erase the bedroom shots already . . ." Amanda said with a shake of her head. Randy pouted at her before he did what he was told. Once he erased the bedroom photos, he handed the camera back to Alanna, who then quickly ran out the room. "We really need to lock our bedroom door from now on."

"You said it . . ." mumbled Randy as Amanda pecked his forehead. "Do you want me to start on breakfast today, or do you want the honors?"

"I'll handle it this time around. If I keep allowing you to be the cook in this family, my cooking skills will end up going rusty," Amanda said with a playful smirk on her face. "Are you in the mood for waffles today? Or I could make pancakes if that suits your fancy."

"Waffles will do just fine . . ." Randy said with a smirk on his face as Amanda got off his body. She left the bed and exited the room, quickly making her way to the kitchen to see Nate sitting at the table with his phone in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.

"So . . . I heard that Alanna interrupted your private time with Randy this morning . . ." Nate said with a chuckle as he looked up from his phone.

"I only did it so I could get some photos of the two being romantic and all," said the little girl as she skipped into the room. "People are counting on me to get these photos, and I'm going to do my job whether you like it or not!"

"I hope that this slideshow Sam and Monica are planning for the wedding is really worth it. I don't know how long I could take you taking photos of Randy and I kissing or anything that's along the lines of being romantic," Amanda said with a shake of her as she began to gather ingredients she would need to make the waffles. "Did Sam and Monica give you specific instructions on what kind of photos you should take Alanna?"

"Mostly just to capture you guys on film being romantic and all . . ." Alanna said with a grin on her face as Randy walked into the room pushing the crib with him as he did. "Sam and Monica want a lot of choices to pick for the slideshow."

"What's the slideshow supposed to be about again?" Randy asked with an eyebrow raised as he pushed the crib over to the table before sitting down.

"It's basically about how you two progressed in your relationship over the years . . ." Alanna answered him with a smirk on her face as she sat down next to her father. "You know, from childhood friends to husband and wife . . . that sort of thing."

"I see . . . Alanna, how about we make a deal?"

"What kind of deal?" Alanna asked with a suspicious look on her face as a smirk came across her father's face. "What do you have in mind daddy?"

"You need to take photos for the slideshow and Amanda and I actually want our private time alone in the sanctity of our own bedroom," said Randy as he checked the inside the crib to see that Dani was starting to slowly wake up. "Here's the deal: Amanda and I will allow you to take photos of us being all romantic and all, as long as you don't do it while we're in our room, or the sauna . . . No one wants photos of people in the sauna."

"Unless they're hot . . ." Nate quickly added, but then Randy punched him in the arm to shut him up. "OW . . . Okay, I shouldn't have said that line, but we both know what I said was true big brother. . . We both know it's true."

"Is photos by the pool or the beach exceptions too?" Alanna quickly asked as a serious look came across her face

"To some degree . . ." was all that the Viper said as he held his hand out to her. "So, do we have a deal Alanna?"

"Hmm . . . okay," Alanna said with a shrug before shaking her father's hand. "You have yourself a deal."

"Now then," said Randy as he looked around the room. "What do you all think we should do today on our first full day in Hawaii hmm?"

"How about we just enjoy a nice cozy day here at home to enjoy what this place has to offer?" suggests Nate as finishes his coffee. "Or we could go to the beach . . . Due to my limited knowledge on Hawaii, that's all I could really suggest at the moment."

"I'm all for Nate's idea . . ." said Amanda as she began mixing the waffle batter. "Let's just enjoy the house today and then we could start thinking up stuff to do over the next few days."

"That sounds like a plan . . ." said Randy as he took Dani out of the crib. "And Alanna, I hope you plan to take photos of the whole family on this vacation, not just 'Manda and I."

"Oh don't worry daddy. I won't forget the whole family . . ." said Alanna as she shook her head. "I may forget to take photos of Uncle Nate here and there, but I won't forget to take some family pictures."

"What am I in this family? The third wheel?" Nate asked in shock as he looked at his eldest niece.

"Uh . . . yeah, you are . . ." Alanna said with a childish grin on her face. "You have a problem with that Uncle Nate?"

"Yep . . . She is certainly your child Randy." was all Nate said as he put his coffee cup in the sink and walked out the room, Alanna, Randy, and 'Manda all sharing a laugh at his expense as he went.
