Author's Note: Okay, so before we begin, I'd like to acknowledge that, yes, this installment is quite a bit shorter than normal, but here it is. It comes as a request from ScarletWolfX, who wanted to see more of Mina and Blake's discussion concerning one Mr. Sun Wukong during the planning phase of last chapters little scheme, and as such it's just a quick little flashback, so I hope that you enjoy. Also, if there's anything in particular any of you would like to see, I'm not opposed to writing more shorts like this for quick little prompts, or full chapters for that matter, if I can stretch the content that far.
"So that rules out any of our friends…" Mina sighed, drumming her fingers on the desk, "And I doubt that we could persuade Miss Goodwitch to go on a blind date with a student…" Blake and Mina still had almost a week to go for their after class sessions with that particular teacher, who's name came up only briefly as it was commented upon that the two had a similar outlook, "So unless we wanted to roll the dice on Professor Port…"
"Ugh…" Blake shivered; she'd had her differences with the Schnee Heiress in the past, but she wasn't sure that she'd wish a blind date with Port on anyone, even if they weren't her friend, "No…"
"Well…" Yang piped in with a sinister smirk on her face, "There's always that Monkey-boy that you spent that one weekend with…"
Mina's ears twitched, "Monkey boy?"
Blake's heart skipped a beat, "Well, you see…"
"And you spent a weekend with him?" Mina pressed.
Blake bolted up straight, waving her hands in denial, "No! Well, okay, yes, but I swear Mina, it's not what you're thinking!"
Yang snickered, but Mina seemed unmoved, "And what, pray-tell, am I thinking, Dearest? That while we were separated, you spent a weekend of passionate romance with some strange boy I've never met!?"
Wow… I suppose I shouldn't read her so many romance novels… "N-no! We just had tea and-!"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Yang piped in, enjoying this altogether too much.
Mina sniffled, "Dearest… if I am not enough for you… I can share, but please… don't leave again…"
Blake shot Yang a horrified look, "You are not helping!" she turned back to Mina, pulling her into a hug, "Shhh…. I am not leaving you… Never again, okay? And you don't have to share, I'm all yours, okay?"
"Oh my God, I am so sorry…" Yang gaped, seeing the sobbing Mess that her little joke had reduced Mina to, "Okay… never joking about you cheating again…"
Blake shot her a dirty look, "Good," Blake sighed as Mina continued to bury her face in her shoulder, patting her on the back, "Yang, you know that she's sensitive about me…"
Yang looked away, scratching the back of her head apologetically, "Sorry… It's just easy to forget when she's usually so… fun…"
That gave Blake an idea though, and she gave Mina a little shake, prompting her to look up, still teary-eyed, "Hey, I'll prove it to you; We'll get him to do the blind date with Weiss! How does that sound?"
Mina wiped away her tears with the back of her hand, "…Would Weiss like him?"
"…Probably not… but then again, she probably won't like anyone we set her up with on a blind date… He's funny though…"
"Hmm…" Mina nodded, still visibly upset, but not so much so that she could not concentrate on the task at hand any longer, "I suppose that he would do…"
Blake nodded, brushing a stray lock of hair out of Mina's face, "Alright then, it's settled. Now, I'm sorry that we upset you; is there any way that I can make it up to you?"
"Or that I-" Blake shot Yang a withering look, "Never mind… I'll just… show myself out…"
As the door shut behind Yang Mina nuzzled closer, unbuttoning her shirt as she did so, "I could think of a few ways…"
Author's Not: Okay, so for those of you who were expecting this to be a bit funnier, let me apologize, and say that I was too, but then I took a minute to think about Mina's character, and the fact that this sort of thing was one of her very few sore spots, so this is what we arrive at. Still, I hope that you enjoyed it.
