Author's Note: Alright, here we are with another short, again as requested by ScarletWolfX, who wanted to hear more of Mina's little story. I wasn't confident that I could squeeze another whole chapter out of that though, so here's a short, I do hope that you enjoy.
"H-hey Mina…" Blake spoke gingerly; she'd been too embarrassed to speak to Mina all day after… well… the previous night…
"Yes..?" Mina asked, staring down at her knees.
The whole day had come and gone, and sacredly a dozen words had passed between them in that time, and now the day had once more expired, and it was time to… retire again… And thus, it was time to discuss their sleeping arrangements…
"D-do you want to..?"
Mina twiddled her thumbs nervously, "If you would prefer, I could go back to my own-,"
"No!" Blake shook her head, "Please… would you mind… sleeping in my bed…?"
Mina brightened somewhat, but was still flushed with embarrassment, "Okay…"
Hesitantly; Mina got up from where she was seated on her own bed and moved to take a seat beside Blake on the side of hers. Blake started slightly as Mina's shoulder brushed up against hers, and her heart rate accelerated when Mina's head came to rest on her shoulder. Blake took a deep breath - did Mina's hair always smell that good?
"I would like to thank you for… er…."
Blake nodded, "S-sure thing…"
"I-if you would like, I could… return the favor…"
Blake could feel her blush deepen profusely. It was fairly obvious that Mina had… enjoyed what she had done, but it was so embarrassing… and Blake wasn't sure that she was ready for that and… well… baby steps… "N-no… but maybe you could-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on," Yang interrupted Mina's tale, "You expect us to believe that you were that nervous?"
"Yeah Mina," Clara raised a skeptical eyebrow, "A massive tease like you? I can't imagine you embarrassed of anything!"
Blake just stared into the water, steadily reddening as Mina responded, "Believe it or not Clara, I was not always so… sociable…"
"Guess Blake worked that right out of you…" Yang snickered, and all the more riotously as Blake lowered herself deeper into the water, "I always figured Mina would have been the one to… start things…"
"I used to be very shy…" Mina said coyly.
"What changed?" Weiss asked, something between distasted and fascination plain to be read on her face, "Clearly, you've gotten over that…"
"My sixteenth birthday~" Mina grinned in response.
"Well, come on then, get on with the story!"
"Very well then..."
"N-no, but maybe you could… take off your shirt…so I can um… look at you…"
Blake was too embarrassed to even look at Mina as she said it, but when she finally did glance over at Mina to take it back, but he jaw fell slack as she saw Mina pulling her shirt off over her head, "Mina…"
"Like this..?" Mina asked, perhaps just a little excited, "Should I also take off-,"
"Okay, that is not how it happened!" Blake objected. "That isn't what happened and you know it!"
Mina shrugged, "What's a little embellishment in the name of good storytelling?"
"So that's not truth then?" Ruby asked, looking just a little bit disappointed.
"Well…" Mina made as though to think it over, but it was clearly a pause for effect, "I suppose the part about me taking my own shirt off was-,"
"I should have shut up and let you tell the story…" Blake groaned.
"If you would prefer, I could tell them about how I-,"
"No thank you Mina…" Blake lolled her head back in defeat, "I think you've said enough…"
