This is what I think would have happened during the last month of school, plus the Summer months that past before the season three premiere. There are smaller time jumps in this one shot, like two or three days apart, and ends less than a month before Braeden finds Isaac. A lot of this features Ellie, but others don't. Some romance, angst, fluff, family moments.
Rated T for language and intimate situations (kissing, touching, PG-13 stuff)

The Summer So Far ...
May 29, 2012
"You cannot make up that exam. You left my class." said the dickbag chemistry teacher. "I'm sorry." He's sooo not sorry.
"Okay, is there anyway I can make it up? Like extra credit or something?" I plead to Mr. Harris. That chem test that I ran out on, turns out, it was thirty percent of my grade. Without that test, I'f have to be perfect in everything else to pass his class. I have a specific plan and even though I've completely ruined it, I can still pull through in junior year.
"You're a semi-smart person," I try not to take offense by that. "Convince me?"
"Excuse me?" I ask dumbly.
"Convince me that you're serious about passing this class." He repeats with an obnoxious roll of his eyes.
I blink. "Uh, okay. I need to pass all my science classes for med school to even consider me."
"Not good enough, try harder."
"You know that I have the capability to keep up in your class. Any assignment that you give me, I'll work extra hard and exceed your expectations."
"Interesting." I see his eyebrows raise. Not a good thing. At least for me. "Go on."
I thought of the only thing that could completely change his mind. "You'll have to see me again next year. Do you really want to mingle among your new sophomore pupils?"
Harris stared at me for a few seconds, unblinkingly. Being who I am, I take it as a challenge and stare back, waiting for the man to crack and cut me a break. He breaks our staring contest with a sharp huff, "Done."
I try to contain my grin, "That's it?"
"You owe me a three page essay on how the properties of a liquid changes as it turns into a gas. Complete with an experiment. Due Friday."
I couldn't contain my smile anymore. "You won't be disappointed!"
"Get out my classroom." The miserable man barks.
"No problem." I skip out of the classroom uncharacteristically.

"Isaac, where are we going?" I ask for the eight time, as I tried to look through the scarf around my eyes.
"Out of town." He answered vaguely.
"Yeah, I get that, I've been in this car for forty minutes." I snark. "Give me something better than that."
"Somewhere nice."
"Isaac." I warned. When I can feel him laughing, I smack him none too lightly on the face.
"Ouch!" I hear him protest.
I frowned "It's not funny. You know I hate surprises."
"Correction. You hate not being in control." He responds smugly. I say nothing because he was actually right. But admittedly, I relinquished a lot of control in the beginning of our relationship and still am to this day.
"You are too annoying." I grumble.
"You mean right." I could feel the car come to a stop. "We're here." A move my fingers to remove the blindfold. "Don't take it off yet." I hear his seatbelt click off and I go for mine. A much as I hated the idea of not knowing, I felt a thrill go through me as Isaac opened my car door and lead me to wherever he was taking me. Isaac was right, sensory details were everything. I could hear crashing waves, feel the warmth from his hands, feel his heartbeat on my back, and smell the pine and freshwater.
We stop and I feel him slide the scarf off my eyes. I opened my eyes and I could feel them go wide. This place was amazing. We were in a small clearing, it was cozy, and it was quiet. There was a small waterfall (as big as I am) behind me that emptied into a small brook. There were a lot of trees around us, making this a nice secluded spot. "This place is amazing, Izzy." I gave him a cheeky smile as I poked his chest. "But why are we here?"
"This place is a big part of my childhood. We used to camp here, before my mom died." I stared up at Isaac as he smiled ruefully. "Every summer."
I wrapped my arms around his neck, giving him comfort as I whispered, "Thanks for bringing me here, but if it's hard for you ..." I trailed off, giving him an out.
"No. No, I'm fine." He kissed my cheek, "There's only happy memories here."
"So I guess we're camping then?" I grin widely. I always wanted to go camping, but it's just something we never did. As Isaac walks over to the Jeep to unload supplies, I was suddenly very excited. I raise a questioning eyebrow as Isaac stares at me with a cute little smile on his face. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
He scratches the hair at the back of his neck nervously as I said, "I wasn't really sure if you were going to be into the idea of camping."
I join him, picking up the box of blankets. "It's weirder that you managed to fulfill a wish that I've always had as a kid."
I sit the box of stuff next to two large boulders, deciding that we were setting up camp there. "What's with all the blankets? It's June."
"It always gets really cold at night here." He says as he pulls out a tent. Made sense, he told me to dress warmly. Though he was wearing a short sleeve.
"What about you?"
"I don't really get cold anymore."
I nodded my head in understanding. "But really, why are we here? Not this place, but why?"
"We haven't seen each other in a week. You were doing your report and I had to give you some space. I missed you and uh I might have to miss your birthday," He scratched the back of his neck. He was either nervous or anxious.
"Which is next Saturday." I clarified.
"—I won't exactly be there." He finished, looking guilty.
"Oh." The full moon. I almost forgot about that. I smiled gratefully. "Well at least we're here now."
Izzy walked over, "You know that I would do anything to be there, but—"
I cut him off, "I get it, you know I do. I know that you're working on your control with Scott and Derek. Just, thank you for going through all this trouble for me." I kissed him properly, lingering a little while and letting go.
"You're welcome." We resumed setting up the tent.

"He took you into the woods for camping?" Lydia Martin looked disgusted at the thought of camping.
I smiled, "Yes, he did."
"And you guys were alone all weekend?" Lydia clarified.
"Yeah. we were."
Lydia grinned as she sipped on her unsweetened raspberry iced tea." So, how was he?" She winked.
"Fine, I guess." I shrugged, not really getting what she was asking.
"What do you mean, 'fine'?" She frowned, "I'm your best friend. I'm going need more than that."
"What do you want me to say?"
Lyd rolls her eyes as she inspects her cuticles. "Maybe if he was gentle? How long did he last? Did he—"
"Lydia! No!" I facepalmed trying to hide my quickly reddening cheeks. "We didn't do that! No way! Not yet!"
"Are you serious? You were gone for two whole days with your boyfriend and you guys didn't have sex?" Lydia balked in disbelief. "You guys are so touchy feely! To be honest, I thought you had already!"
"No. Just no." I stopped her. "I'm pretty sure I'm not ready just yet."
"So I'm imagining the 'sex me' eyes that you guys give each other?" I send her a look. "I see you guys in the hall. He looks like he wants to take you in the classroom."
I sigh, deciding to come completely clean, "Ok, so we aren't completely innocent."
"I knew it. Details!"
I give her a strange look, "It's weird that you're suddenly interested in my sex life."
Lydia smiles cheekily. "I'm more intrigued that it even exists."
"Shut up." I grumble. "It was really cold that first night. So when we got into the tent, we held each other until—"
June 10, 2012
"Ellie! Are you awake?" I hear my dad's my voice through my door. As I drift into consciousness, I realize that both an arm and a leg were hanging off my bed. Instead of climbing back up onto my bed, I steadied my fallen leg and grabbed the side of my nightstand. "I made waffles for breakfast."
I moved with a little pep in my step. "Coming, dad." I opened the door immediately. My dad was standing in my doorway. "Happy Twin Day, Sweetheart." He held out a small wrapped purple box in his hand.
We botched the whole happy birthday thing. It just doesn't feel right saying happy birthday between each other and friends acknowledging our birthday without excluding a twin. So we say Happy Twin Day, where we celebrate being born on the same day.
"Thank you, father." I smiled. "Pat yourself on the back for contributing to the creation of awesome twins."
He does as I said with a smirk. "So no different then any other year then?"
"Nope. Dad deserves a bit of recognition on Twin Day." I eye the present in his hand. "What is that?"
I reach for it, but he pulls away. "Nope. Eat your breakfast first. You'll need the energy." I jump excitedly and practically rip my clothes off as I head into the shower. As I got ready, I decided after a split second to wear makeup. I'm seventeen today, I need to look cute while being totally badass.
I decided on a grey crop top and denim shorts. It was incredibly hot today and I'll be damned if I have to take three showers today. As I walk over to grab my locket, I check out my hair in the mirror. I mean, I like the length it is now, and I briefly skim over the idea of changing it. I grab my hair by the middle, bunching it up at my neck. I tilt my head to the side, testing it to see how I like it, and I smile.
I quickly run down the stairs and into the kitchen. When I find my twin sitting at the breakfast bar, I smack him lightly on the face as I sit next to him. "Happy Twin Day!"
He rolls his eyes (fondly, I hope) and repeats the sentiment. I grab my plate of steaming blueberry waffles and thank my dad, before digging in. We chatted a lot during breakfast. I explained to my dad the overall predictions of my grades for the semester and was briefly scolded about my late nights. Twin contributed about his grades, admitting that I am tutoring him in bio chem to help him catch up before the final. And I kept it to myself that the only other reason that I was helping him was because he promised to get off my back about Isaac. Who dad now knows about, causing it to be nearly impossible to see each other without a chaperone.
As I was done stuffing my face with with my last waffle, I started to beg for my present once more. "Come on dad, I ate it!"
Dad smiles knowingly, "Fine, I'll go get it."
I grin as I jump up and down uncontrollably. "Yes." I spy Stiles's knowing grin as well, which he tries to suppress. "You know something."
"I know nothing." He denied.
Dad returns with the same small purple box. "Oh father, you shouldn't have."
"I know." He says as I take the box. I ignore him as I try to contain my excitement. I practically rip the wrapper off and take the lid off. I grab the small object out of the box. "Oh my god. You didn't, dad. You really didn't."
Stiles sighs happily, "Thankfully he did."
"Where is it? Where is it?!" I'm shouting because I can't believe it. I know I'm being really annoying and not being clear on what the surprise actually is but I'm seriously going to die.
"Outside. In front."
I jump up with the small key and run to the door to collect my riches. When I got out there, I was greeted with the cutest, most beautiful looking car I had ever laid eyes on. Or maybe I was just biased because it's mine.
It's mine.
"I love you."
"I know."
"But do you really understand this kind of love?"
He nods, smiling. "I feel it everyday."
"That's sweet. Hug me, father."
As we hug, I hear an annoyingly squeaky sound behind me. "Hey! I helped pick it out!"
"Bring it in, attention-seeking twin."
"Happy birthday, my little girl."
"Dad, we went over this already. And now I'm seventeen."
"Still my baby girl with the cute nose freckles." Dad reminds me annoyingly.
"And they're still cute now that I'm seventeen." I point out, almost offended.
"You're not wrong."
"I know."
"Okay, moment over." Stiles backs out of the hug. "You guys ruined it."
"Looks like twin bro wants a kiss." I pucker my lips in his direction. "Come here, cutie!"
"Gah!" He runs back in the house and I don't chase him.

"You cut your hair?" Lydia repeats through the phone.
"It's short and cute." I tell her. "It's never been this short before, but I really like it. It kind of adds to my badass status."
"Well I don't know. I'd have to see it."
I roll my eyes. "It's my birthday. If you don't like it, that's your problem."
"You're so rude." Lydia replies with a tired sigh.
I smile. "So are you."
"True." There was a pause. "What color do you want your cupcake to be?"
"Why a cupcake? Why can't you just get me a cake? I earned it for making it to seventeen." I bitched.
"Because, drunk teenagers are not going to want to eat it. And I'm not be stuck with a huge cake at my house."
"Give it to me. I guarantee you that I will eat the whole thing." I promised.
"Fine, I'll get a small one. And I'm not singing." I smile at her rude tone. I love this girl.
"I wouldn't expect you to."

Lydia & Allison
Lydia and Allison pull up to Lydia's family lake house. Of course, nothing was done yet, and the entire lacrosse team was due to help set up for Ellie (low key, Stiles' as well) birthday house party.
"I haven't been here in years," Lydia admitted as she unlocked the door. "But Ellie loves this place."
"This is uncharacteristically nice." Allison remarks.
Choosing to ignore the intentions of the comment, Lydia answers her, "I owe Ellie more than you know." Lydia then abandons the conversation with a balanced smile.
"Has she said anything about me?" Allison asks hopefully.
Lydia stops and turn around. "Listen, I don't think she's ready to talk to you yet. She's still hurt and though it's been a month, everything's hit her hard."
"I just wish she'd give me a chance to explain." Allison sighs woefully.
"I think you should just focus on you for a while. Your family." Lydia advises. "Ellie will come around when she wants to."
"I'm still invited right?"
"Of course, you're welcome to come if you want."
June 10, 2012, around the same time.
Scott
Scott is staring at his phone, wanting to call Allison and tell her about his miraculous passing grade in English, he wanted her to be proud of him. Though he couldn't out of respect for her wishes. He'd been staring the phone for five minutes, though it seemed like a lifetime.
He is cut free from his thoughts when his phone begins to ring. It was Stiles. He grabs the phone quickly, thankful for the distraction.
"Hey man."
"Dude, I've been honking for two minutes. Your neighbors hate me. You coming or what?"
"Uh, yeah. Yeah." Scott shakes the last of the cloudiness from his mind and grabs a jacket. "Give me a minute. I'll be down."
Hopefully tonight would help.
June 10, 2012 Party time
"Please don't over do it." I begged as Lydia curled the short ends of my hair. I still wanted to look like me.
"Oh hush. I'm almost done," Lydia shushed me, and I sighed softly. I was always like this, even when my mom was still alive. I always squirmed when she brushed my hair before bed.
I looked up into the mirror in front of us. My skin was pale, not too pale, I still have some color to me. Lydia picked at my eyebrows relentlessly and I was beginning to appreciate her work. The loads of mascara and eyeliner she used was alarming at the time, but it enhanced my dark brown eyes, giving them depth. She topped it off with a crimson red lip that managed to make me look dangerous. Lydia informed me that it was long lasting and to not worry about it smudging.
I nodded to her absentmindedly during her long lecture about my beauty rituals or lack thereof (which was a lie, I had a few) and she was satisfied with my non committal responses for the time-being.
"Guests are arriving and Scott and Stiles should be downstairs keeping an eye on everything. Just relax and enjoy your party. You can see your boyfriend later." Lydia finished, and I did relax. Sort of.
Within the next hour, I was dressed and downstairs. I was allowed to keep my Doc Martens, but I wore a grey midi sweater dress and my lucky leather jacket. Even with all the silly makeup, I looked pretty badass.
My brother was there and my best friends and even Cassie had come along. I wasn't sure if Cassie still had that crush on my brother, but I made sure that she rode with him just in case. All jokes aside, I kind've liked the idea of the two together.
I was surprised at all of the people that had come in honor of our birthday. Though I shouldn't be too surprised, considering my twin won us the championship and Lydia pretty much raked in the rest of them. I was being greeted by classmates that never even acknowledged us. The year was almost over and so much had changed with us and between us. We were closer than ever and I think we did okay, considering the circumstances.

Derek & Isaac
"You're overthinking it. If you concentrate too hard, it's just going to make you angrier." He told him.
Isaac takes a deep breath, feeling the ground under his claws. He was knelt onto the ground and his breathing slowed and lessened to nothing but a growl.
"Better." Derek allowed.
"Please." Peter scoffed. "Not good enough." Both Isaac and Derek look to him in annoyance. Their expressions seemed to say, Well who the hell asked you? Peter held both hands up in surrender. Seems like some people can't take constructive criticism.
"Peter." Derek warned. The man was already on thin ice.
"You're too easy on him. With the right discipline, he could make you stronger all on his own."
"Make no mistake, you're not still here because of familial ties." Derek reminded him.
"Well then let me make myself useful." Peter argued. He rolled his eyes as his nephew once again ignored him.
An hour later, Lydia's lake house
"I wanted to wait until we were back home to give you this, but I thought now is as good a time than any." I reached into my bag and brought out a small black box with a white bow neatly tied atop. "Happy twin day, bro."
I shifted nervously as he untied the box. As he opened it, I heard his breathing pick up. He picked up the priceless heirloom and cradled it with his palm.
My grandfather's war pocket watch. The one he got from his father and it survived everything. It kept my dad and his dad alive no matter what they went through. Dad thought it was time after the whole Matt situation. Stiles deserved this luck after everything. Last time he had seen it, it was worn and old looking. Dad and I got it polished, making the silver look brand new. And added a picture on the inside of our small family. He smiled softly, before looking back at me.
"This is-"
I already knew what he meant. "I know." He surprised me, by hugging me in public. This was kinda the reason why I should have waited until we went home, but I welcomed the gratitude.
"Love you too, bro." I laughed nervously, biting back the surge of emotions. "Now let me go before I start leaking."
"We humans call it crying." He says, stepping away from me.
"Shut up." I retorted childishly. "Now let's get back to our party." As twin headed back to his Lacrosse buddies, I finally spotted the person I disliked the most.
Allison.
Before I could look away and forget ever seeing her, her gaze connected with mine. Her sad eyes rooted me to my spot and a cold glare slipped easily onto my face. I knew she'd be here. Because when Lydia had mentioned inviting her, I'd agreed with an air of nonchalance and told her that I didn't care. I didn't want her to know that her presence bothered me the way it so obviously did. But as I looked at her face, I wanted to yell at her. I wanted to hurt her the way she hurt me. I wanted to blame her for my family getting hurt like she'd begun to blame us for her mom's death. It wasn't fair that she immediately turned her back on us and expected me to excuse everything she'd done caused by a meltdown from grief. It wasn't an excuse, I'd lost my mom before and it had done nothing too bad but a bad attitude and several defense mechanisms that had prevented me from making any more friends than those I already had.
I saw her take a step, and it immediately caused me to exit the room as quickly as possible. I pushed and dodged as I ran through the crowded room. I kept going until I reached the front lawn. As I eyed my car, I contemplated getting out of here before I realized that I'd left my keys in my bag in the spare bedroom.
"Ellie."
Damn.
Sure I could've started running, but there wasn't really anywhere to hide. I sighed as I realized that I had to be the be honest and talk to her about the state of our friendship, no matter how bad I wanted to throw myself into my bed and scream into my favorite pillow.
I motioned to her to follow me to the other side of my car, where we could talk freely without prying ears. When we rounded the car, I hugged my arms, looking at the ground.
"Talk." I breathed tiredly.
"Ellie," Allison paused, either unsure where to start or rewording her previously chosen words. "Please understand that after what I lost-"
I had to cut her off. "Don't do that. Don't." My tone was low and controlled. Allison visibly shrank and let me continue. "We've all lost someone, Allison. I gave you space. We all did. And you - you let the devil on your shoulder lead you into hell. Did it feel wrong? Hurting my friends and listening while your grandfather and his buddies beat the shit out of me and my brother?"
Allison paused, probably choosing the right words to say. "I know it doesn't mean much now, but I'm so sorry, Ellie. You can't punish me anymore than I am."
"I've already forgiven you, Allison." I told her, and her shoulders sagged a little in relief. "I can't afford to let someone have that kind of power over me. Not again."
"Is this it? Can we ever be friends again?" The question was loaded and it was something I'd thought about once.
"Maybe one day, Allison. When I believe that can trust you." Allison lips lifted into a small smile. "I gotta get back."
She nodded.
The Next Day
When Isaac entered Lydia's Lake house. he wasn't all that surprised to find what he saw. Stiles, Scott and Danny were strewn around the room next to half full garbage bags. Looked like Lydia tried to put them to good use and clean while her highness slept.
Isaac walked past the sleeping beta, trying to keep as quiet as possible. He definitely didn't want to wake anyone while he was sneaking up to see Ellie. He had been looking forward to seeing her all night and now that he was here, he didn't want anyone interrupting.
It was nine am and according to facebook the party ended at five, so hopefully those still in the house would be asleep for a little while longer. When he ended up upstairs, he started to wander aimlessly around in the hallway listening out for her even breathing. Without any effort at all, he managed to catch the ending of a phone conversation.
"What time will you be back?" She said, then paused. "Okay, we'll try to be home before noon." Pause. "Mhmm. Love you." He heard a soft sigh and he twisted the knob to open the door.
She was sitting on bed with her back to him. Her dark brown, almost black hair was cut short, just reaching the nape her neck. She was wearing sleep shorts and light blue camisole. Upon closing the door, she jumped, turning around and moving closest to the wall. He frowned at the action, and when Ellie realized it was him, she breathed out a relieved sigh.
"Didn't mean to scare you." He apologized. He knew she was still jumpy from time to time.
"It's okay. I just need some more sleep." Ellie lifted off the wall and they closed the distance between each other.
As she reached him, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him to her tightly. She hadn't seen much of him in the past three days, and not any of him yesterday. She smiled as she felt him inhale her scent.
"I missed you." He admitted, before pulling back and looking her in the eye.
She bit her lip, slowly nodding. "Good." Isaac shook his head at her, knowing that that was as good as he was going to get as far as an 'i missed you too'. "Are you going to stay?"
"I'm all yours." He told her, and she pulled him over to the bed.
"Well I'm still a little tired. You wanna?" She nodded over to the bed. She sat down and looked at him expectantly. As he began to take off his pants, Ellie looked on in amusement. She moved over to give him some space. She turned over and waited for him to get in behind her.
Isaac got in behind her and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her against him. Ellie responded by grabbing his hand and guiding him to her left breast. Her left breast that was braless underneath.
"Ellie?" Isaac's voice sounded strained.
"Hmm?" Was her innocent reply. She missed the feeling on his hands on her body. Simple as that.
"I thought you wanted to sleep."
"And I'm trying." With her eyes closed, she smirked.
July 28
"Cut the crap, Isaac." I level my steely gaze on my boyfriend. "I know that you've been hiding something."
"What are you talking about, Ellie?" His nonchalance at my question made me angrier.
"Erica and Boyd. I haven't heard from them at all since they left. And I think something happened to them." I didn't miss the face that Isaac made. "And I know that you know something."
"Ellie ..." He said, warning me.
"Tell me." I sigh and sit in front of him on my bed. "I deserve to know."
"I know."
"Please." I grab his hands and play with his fingers. He gets up and I watch as he steps closer to the window. I stand as I assume he's leaving.
"They were taken." He said.
I felt a familiar feeling creep up my spine as he said the words. Fear. "Who? What?"
"An alpha pack. Derek and I have been tracking them. Trying to figure out where they took them."
As I felt tears threaten to fill my eyes, I wipe them away. "What the hell an alpha pack?"
"A pack of alphas. One of the strongest packs we've ever seen." He tells me, with a pained look on his face.
I hugged my arms tightly. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because of that look on your face right now." He walks over to me and puts his hands on my arms. "Your scared. I didn't want to scare. I also don't want you to get hurt. I want out to stay out of this."
I glare at him. "How can you ask me that?" I pull away from his hold and turn away from him.
"Are you really mad at me because I wanted to protect you?"
I sigh, "Does Scott know?"
"It's not really his problem. He's so focused on getting back on track with school and we didn't want to ruin it." He told me and I nodded at him. Now that I had calmed down, I realized how unreasonable I was being.
"I'm sorry." I walked over to him and he wrapped his arms around me. "I'm just really worried. I can't lose anyone right now."
"I know." He kissed me on the cheek. "And if there's a way for you to help and stay out of harm's way, I'll let you know."
I kissed him this time, on the lips. "Thank you."
