Im so sorry I haven't updated! I'm the worst!
But finally, here you are.
Clary pov
The day after Clary's birthday, Clary, Georgie, Peter and Derek sat together on the bean bags that sat in the corner.
"It's not fair." Georgie whined for a thousandth time.
"I'm seriously considering that your gay." Derek said.
"I'm not gay! But seriously, you should have seen this guy!" Georgie said, exasperated.
Peter rolled his near black eyes, "please do tell us." Peter said sarcastically.
"I will!" Peter, Derek and Clary groaned as Georgie continued, "he was tall, and lean, but really muscular. And he was like freaking golden. Like an Angel walking an earth-in a completely no homo way am I saying this. But golden hair, golden freaking eyes, golden freaking arm hair, golden eyebrows. Even his skin was a golden colour! It's not fair on guys like me!" Georgie said in all seriousness.
Clary rolled her eyes, "would you believe that I don't love him for his looks? He actually has this thing called a personality." She said.
"You definitely gay." Peter decided.
"Or have a serious crush on Clary." Derek teased.
Georgie threw up his hands, then pointed at them all as he spoke, "wait until you see him."
"I have seen him." Clary said, rolling her eyes.
"Oh, shut up."
With that Georgie left and went to join whoever was playing xbox.
"Gay." They all said together, then laughed.
Later that night, once it was lights out, Clary was just falling asleep when she heard an ear splitting scream. She jumped up from her bed and opened her door. Peter the room across from her was standing at his door as well, he pointed towards Jenny's room, 2 doors down from Clary.
Clary slowly walked down the hall towards Jenny's room. It seemed as though no one else heard it. She cracked open Jenny's door and gasped at the scene.
Jenny lay on the floor covered in blood, a peice of wood protruding from her stomach. Clary spotted the broken chair in the corner in the room. Jenny was still awake, sobbing softly. Clary rushed over too her side and crouched down.
"Jenny, are you okay?" She asked. Stupid question.
Jenny choked on her sobs, "I just want-t-t-to die." Jenny choked out.
Clary glanced behind her and Peter was standing in the doorway, looking down grimly at the scene. A few seconds later people rushed in. Nurses? They shooed Clary out of the room.
10 minuted later they wheeled Jenny's body out of her room. Her body in a black bag. And all Clary could think was, at least she got what she wanted.
By then the whole floor had been woken up, everyone awake to see Jenny's body wheeled out.
Before everyone was sent back to bed, all chairs where removed out of bedrooms. But Clary couldn't sleep that night, not even with her music, all she could hear was Jenny's voice.
I just want to die.
Clary remember the last time she truly felt like that. It was just before she slashed her wrists. That was when Clary really wanted to end her life, once and for all. But after Clary had dragged the blade down one arm, she couldn't do it to the other. All the blood, just oozing out, seeming like it would never stop, had scared Clary enough to realised she didn't want to die, she just wanted to escape.
And when her and Jace finish school, they will. They will escape. All the dark memories haunting them, and start their own lives together.
The next day Clary was dragged into a private session, with a kind looking, young woman wearing a AC/DC jumper, jeans, and black combat boots.
"I like your choice of clothing." Clary commented.
The woman laughed, "I think we should all be able to express who we are, not matter our job." The woman said.
Clary agreed with her.
"I'm Indy."
"Clary. Obviously."
Indy laughed, "okay. So, I'm never sure how to start sessions so, straight to it. How are you feeling about last night?" Indy asked.
Clary thought about it, "I'm shocked to say the least. It was terrifying to see someone on their deathbed. But the thing was, she didn't even look scared, she wanted it. She wanted to die, right until the end." Clary said, folding her legs into the too large armchair.
Indy nodded and took notes, "and what do you see for your future?" She asked next.
Clary smiled at this, "I see a lot actually. I see myself graduating. I see myself at my brothers wedding-not my blood brother, but my real brother. His getting married to his boyfriend finally, and I can't wait to be there. Then I see myself moving away and buying a house with my boyfriend. Getting a job at a gallery maybe, or selling my paintings, while he does what it is he wants to do. Then I see myself getting married, having children. I see my future surrounded by family and the ones I love." Clary said, still smiling and thinking about the future.
Indy smiled, "I personally do not think your depressed. I've been watching you since you've been here and you don't seem depressed at all. You get along with the other teenagers. You just seem miserable to be stuck in here. But I must ask, what happened with the car accident?"
Clary sighed, "I was stupid and got in my car while I was upset, which is just down right idiotic. I took my eyes off the road for what seemed like seconds next thing I knew, I hit a tree."
"Why were you upset?" Indy questioned.
"This stupid dickhead at school that seems content of telling the school every little gritty detail about my past." Clary said.
"About a few years ago?" Indy asked.
Clary nodded, "and about...my father." She whispered.
"What about your father?" Isn't asked, true worry in her voice,
"That he did this." Clary said, standing up, sliding her shirt off and showing Indy her back.
Indy gasped, "my god, Clary. How could you keep this a secret?"
Clary slid her shirt back on, "I had. It would ruin my family. Just like the crash. My parents worked so hard to keep that buried, but some how Sebastian found out.
"Clary, please. Please let me take you to the authorities. Well the authorities come here. We need to report this." Indy said.
Clary sat and thought about and then realised, "I don't care for my father. So yes."
A few hours, Clary was called back out and her back was photographed and her statement taken.
"What did her use, to, uh, do that?" One of the officers asked.
"A belt. Whatever belt he was wearing." Clary answered.
"How often did this occur?"
"Every time I upset him. So maybe every week or so, depending."
"Was there any witnesses to this?"
"My brother. Jonathan Morgenstern. But he'll probably protect my father. My mother witnessed it a few times and tried to stop it but my father beat her too and threatened her if she went to the police."
The other stuff was ordinary questions. Addresses, phone numbers, full names ect.
By the end Clary just wanted to sleep, but Indy called her back in.
"I talked to everyone, whilst you where with the police and we've decided your fit to leave, tomorrow." Indy said, smiling.
"Tomorrow?" Clary echoed.
Indy nodded and Clary grinned and thanked Indy, hugging her and practically skipping out of the room.
I'll be out tomorrow! What was tomorrow? A Monday?
Everyone would be at school, except Jace but she didn't care. All she need was him.
She headed back towards everyone and collapsed back on the bean bags.
"No one has been gone that long for a private session, and come back that happy." Peter commented.
"I'm leaving tomorrow!" Clary said happily.
Derek, Gerogie, and Peter looked shocked.
"You've only been here, what more than a week? I've been here for 7 months." Derek said.
"I know. They finally realised I wasn't depressed or suicidal." Clary said, still smiling.
"I've been here for a year! Look his happy I am!" Georgie exclaimed.
Clary looked long and hard at Georgie, "I dont think I'm the only one that can tell you keep it up for show. Actually talk to them. Actually tell them how you feel. Actually listen to what they have to say." Clary said.
Georgie rolled his eyes and mumbled something.
She said goodbye to her 'friends' after dinner, and laid happily in her bed.
Tomorrow night Jace would be back next to her, his arms wrapped around her. She couldn't wait for that feeling again. Not having to sleep alone.
Clary shoved all her books, into a small box. She pulled on her pair of jeans, short and Chuck Taylor's.
I'm going home. Im graduating.
She followed a woman out of the building where Jace was standing. He grinned when he saw her. She dropped the box she was holding and ran for him, she jumped on him, wrapping her legs around his waist, her arms around his neck.
"Oh, Angel." Jace whispered into her hair.
"Mmmm, Jacey." She said into his neck.
This is a pretty shit chapter...I know. When I wrote it I had a COMPLETE writers block and when I tried to improve it it just made it WAY worse!
