Hey guys! Long time, no see, right? Anyways, you guys loved this story so much I just couldn't leave you hanging. So anyways, are you all ready for the funniest story to return? THIS CHAPTER WAS WRITTEN BY ME, enjoy.
Tris POV
"Hey, Tris!" Someone calls, I look back to see Four. I look around to see no Lauren, thank goodness. After our little confrontation she tried to convince Four to leave this daycare. I run over to him, hurdling over that stupid fence. "OH! DID YOU ALL SEE THAT? Me, Tris Prior, jumped over the gate." I hear a bunch of hollers and cheers. I also hear a small laugh, and see Zeke and Uriah who are putting the loser signs to their head and crossing their eyes.
I turn back to Four, who is smiling slightly. "Yeah?" I ask, out of breath. "You should ask the rest of your friends if they wanted to go to the mall tonight." He says, and I tilt my head sideways in confusion. "Will Lauren be there?" I ask, and he chuckles a bit.
"No, she has some type of business to tend to." He says, waving his hands around. "So do you and your friends? It is Halloween tomorrow." He says, and my eyes nearly pop out of my head. "FU…" I put a hand over my mouth as the kids look at me.
"Fun…" I say, looking at the kids, who have now stopped picking their nose, beating up Marlene, and playing dodgeball. "Hey, do you guys wanna go to the mall for Halloween shopping?" I shout, and they all said some sort of yes or sure.
"Okay, see you around six tonight." I say, trying to hurdle back over the fence. This time it backfires as my foot gets stuck and I land right on top of Emily. I look back to Four wide eyed and look back at Emily. "Are you okay?" I ask, and she looks at me and starts giggling. "Miss Trissy?" Emily asks, and I help her stand up. "Yes Emily?" I ask, and she points to Uriah, who is attempting a handstand.
"I think Uri's gonna hurt himself…" She says, and I nod. He's doing well right up until Jake finds a blower, and turns it on. This causes a lot of us to scream, as he starts waving it around. Christina walks towards him, ready to snatch it. She almost gets him, but he turns the blower towards her and she like flies off her feet. Time after time this happens, until I see Four sneak over the fence, and grab him. He screams and drops the blower, which Will grabs quickly and turns it off.
I drop to the floor on my back, laughing. So does everyone else. "Thank…you…Four." I say, in-between laughs. He nods, and steps back over the fence. We all stop laughing once Peter walks in, and he shakes his head. "Why did I chose you people?" He says, throwing his wallet down.
TIME SKIP TO TONIGHT
We walk into the mall and sit on one of the benches, leaving Uriah with no seat. "Guys." He whines. "I need a seat." We shrug our shoulders at him. "Sucks to suck." I say, and he stomps his foot. "Fine, have it your way, and I'll have it my way." He walks over to me and sits on me. I scream, causing people to look. "GET YOUR FAT ARSE OFF ME!" I scream, squirming underneath him.
"I NEED A SEAT!" He yells, gripping onto the handles to keep him down on me. I bite his arm, causing him to scream and leap off of me, onto another person. "Ew! Get it off of me!" A person yells, shoving him off. I drop to the floor laughing, I stop once I see someone stand above me. I look up to see Four looking at me with an amused expression. I stand up, wiping imaginary dust off of me. "Oh… Uh hi, Four." I awkwardly say, and he laughs. "You guys ready?" He asks, and we nod.
We walk in and out of countless stores, searching for costumes. Will and Christina have already found their costumes, so did Lynn. But nobody is showing each other what their costume is. Four and I walk together, towards the back of the gang. "So Tris, when did you start working at the daycare?" He asks, and I look forward.
"I started working about three to four years ago." I answer. "How about you, do you work?" I ask, and he shakes his head. "I'm looking for a new job." He says, sighing. "Oh." Is all I say, and we continue walking. An awkward silence looms over us. "So…" He says awkwardly. "So…" I say in the same tone, causing us both to laugh. "So um, do you work any other jobs?" He asks, and I nod. "Yeah, I work at the coffee shop down the road from the daycare." He finally looks at me, raising his eyebrows. "Really? So that means you know Tori?"
"Yeah, she's my boss." I say.
"That's really cool, I've known Tori for a long time." He says, and I mumble "Cool" Once again an awkward silence falls over us, and we continue walking. This time, we don't really start up a conversation.
"Okay! Now that we've all found costumes except Tris, we can chill." Christina says, and I groan. "But as for Trissy, I shall go with her to help!" Christina says, clapping her hands together. "NO! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!" I yell, as she starts dragging me away. I look towards Lynn with pleading eyes, and she gives me a look of pity.
Like a zillion stores later, we still haven't found me a costume. "Okay, don't lose hope. We'll find something." She says, and drags me into another store. We look around, until I hear a loud squeal and look to see what that was. I see Christina, holding up an outfit for Halloween that I actually think I'll like.
Turns out that was it. That's the outfit I bought. "Tris. I have to ask you something." Christina says, stopping. "Yeah?" I ask.
"Do you like Four?" She says, and I look at her with a bemused expression. "I like him as a friend. Besides even if I did like him, I could never have him." I say, a little too sadly. "You know Lauren isn't…" We're cut off by someone running towards us. I squint my eyes and see that Uriah is charging full force at me. "Hey Tris." Four says, but he gets cut off by Uriah shoving me into the fountain.
I didn't mean too, but I grabbed Four and pulled him down with me. With both went in with a splash. And the awkwardness between us grew as I tried to stand up, and I fell back on top of Four. "Could this get any worse?" I mumbled, and sadly I was right. It could get worse. Uriah, decided to do a cannonball… on top of me.
TIME SKIP NEXT DAY
"IT'S HALLOWEEN!" Jake screams, wearing a batman costume. "It is, Jake!" Marlene says, wearing a Crayola crayon outfit. We all chose kid friendly outfits, since we work at a daycare. "AH!" One of the kids screams. I look to see Uriah has walked in with his costume on. I'm mortified at his costume…
His costume is made from a pair of fishnet stocking, a tutu, and a sports bra. "What are you even supposed to be?" Shauna asks, her fairy wings shaking back and forth. "I'm a ballerina!" He says, dancing around.
"Oh, I like your outfit Tris!" Marlene says. I decided to dress up as a bling queen. I have a pair of lose sweet pants which are covered with sequins, and then I have a matching muscle top with swag written in sequins. "Everyone, I got a song to play!" Lynn yells, in her skin tight body suit with a neon green wig on.
She hits play on our stereo, and I smile once I recognize it. "NOW WATCH ME WHIP! AND WATCH ME NAE NAE!" I yell, and I start whipping. Soon we got the whole daycare whipping, or in Uriah's case, trying to whip. His whip looks like a mix of a dying chicken, and an octopus.
Once the song ends, Four walks in with Emily. "AW! Don't you look cute Emily?!" I say, and her cheeks turn into little red roses. "Hello Miss Trissy!" She says, running up to hug me. Her outfit consists of a large football jersey, and a football helmet. "Hey Tris. I need to talk to you." Four says, and I nod. I let Emily in to go play, and open the fence.
"Yeah?" I ask, and he looks around. "So, I'm guessing you already know Lauren doesn't like this place, right?" He asks, and I nod. "Well um, she wanted to take Emily out of here." He says, and my eyes widen. "But I told her no." He says, and I sigh in relief. "But, now she's pissed off at me." He says, and I act sorry, when really I don't care about her. "So what, is she like breaking up with you?" I ask, and he snorts.
"What?" I ask, and he laughs. "Lauren and I aren't dating, we're divorced."
