AN: And yet another chapter. Thanks to Moonling Child for all her ideas.

Mini History Lesson: Aragorn is like 10 and he's called Estel. He lives in Rivendell with Elrond and his family. He has never seen a human before, but he knows what they are. Nothing else.

I do not own Lord of the Rings or Tarzan.

Little Estel sat in his classroom bored out of his mind. He stared out the window in hopes he would see something interesting. Being only 10 years old he was as hyperactive as any 10 year old could be. Estel sat wishing for the class to be over and soon got his wish. His tutor announced that the class was over and Estel gathered his books and bolted for the nearest exit to the outside gardens.

"Estel!" His brother, Elrohir called from the house. Estel wasn't supposed to be outside without someone with him. This was due to the fact that a group of humans had camped near Rivendell. Estel didn't know this of course and was indignant at being treated like a baby.

"Yes Elrohir?" Estel called back. He was barely out the doors.

"Come back inside." Elrohir called. Estel sighed and walked back in. He suddenly got a good idea. Estel dropped his book bag just in side the door and sneaked out the door. Elrohir had already left, assuming his brother had come back inside. Estel walked around the gardens and managed to get into the forest without being seen.

Estel strolled among the trees losing all sense of direction and time. The next thing he knew, it was almost sunset and he had no idea where he was. That is, until he heard the voices and saw the smoke. Estel heard people talking and he saw a campfire. He sneaked up to the trees around the fire and saw something amazing. Three humans sat around the fire. One was a female, and two were male. One male was a hulking man with a big beard. The other was short and old. The woman and the older man talked like they were father and daughter while the big man just sat there sullenly. Estel stared at them for a long time before the woman noticed him.

"Oh, look there father," She said pointing to where Estel was hiding. Estel gasped and turned to run but the woman spoke kindly and Estel felt compelled to trust her.

"What are you?" The older man asked. He knew they were in an elven forest and that elves lived nearby.

"Human." Estel said, "What are you?"

"We are humans too young one." The woman said, "My name is Léah.(pronounced like the princess from star wars) This is my father, Jacob, and that's Clayton." Léah said. Clayton just grunted as Jacob waved.

"Will you teach me about humans?" Estel asked hopeful, "I have never seen a human before."

"Of course." Léah said. She began showing Estel all about humans. Estel decided to sing a song he had pop into his head,

"Whatever you do, I'll do it too.
Show me everything and tell me how
It all means something,
And yet nothing to me." Estel sang as he focused on the stuff Léah was showing him. Clayton scowled at the boy.

"I can see there's so much to learn
It's all so close and yet so far
I see myself as people see me
Oh, I just know there's something bigger out there" Estel sang and started to dance just like his brothers did on midsummer's eve.

"I wanna know, can you show me
I wanna know about these
strangers like me
Tell me more, please show me
Something's familiar about these strangers like me." Jacob began showing Estel all the maps he had of where the humans lived in great detail.

Clayton was getting frustrated. They had come here to find and look at elves. And this boy was raised by them. They should just make the kid tell them where they are, not teach him about himself. Estel kept right on singing,

"Every gesture, every move that she makes
Makes me feel like never before
Why do I have
This growing need to be beside her" Estel sang as he watched Léah sketch a drawing and Jacob taught him about human sicknesses. Léah was so much like his mother. His mother was dead now and Estel was growing to like Léah more and more.

"Ooo, these emotions I never knew
Of some other world far beyond this place
Beyond the trees, above the clouds
I see before me a new horizon" Estel sang as he discovered more about his race.

"I wanna know, can you show me
I wanna know about these strangers like me
Tell me more, please show me
Something's familiar about these strangers like me" After Jacob was done with Estel,Estel saw Léah and sat down next to her and sang to her in his melodious voice,

"Come with me now to see my world
Where there's beauty beyond your dreams
Can you feel the things I feel
Right now, with you
Take my hand
There's a world I need to know" Estel sang as he brought Léah up a tree and let her see the whole of the hidden valley but not where Rivendell was. He knew better than to let strangers see his house. Clayton called them down and Estel got distracted by something. Clayton spoke to Léah and Jacob.

"We should get him to take us to the elves. We can see them and learn about them." Clayton suggested. He had other ideas though.

"I'll ask him." Léah said. "Estel, will you take us to see some elves?"

"I can't. My father and brothers will not be pleased." Estel said then continued his singing making Clayton growl and consider using the boy as a hostage to get what he wanted from the elves.

"I wanna know about these strangers like me
Tell me more, please show me
Something's familiar about these strangers like me" Estel finished and soon he heard horses and shouts.

"This way, I heard him singing." The voice of Elladan, Estel's brother called from nearby. Léah pulled Estel close to her in motherly protection. Just then three large horses burst into the little camp and surrounded the four of them.

"Estel, what are you doing here?" Lord Elrond said exasperated as he dismounted. Estel looked down.

"I am sorry Ada. I just wanted to get out." Estel apologized. Elladan and Elrohir had dismounted as well. Léah still hadn't taken her arm off of Estel's shoulders.

"Who are you?" Elrohir asked the other three.

"We are humans on a journey to see the elves." Jacob said dramatically. Estel beamed.

"These are my friends Ada. That's Jacob, Clayton, and this is Léah." Estel introduced. The grown up elves noticed that Estel looked up at Léah with fondness bequeathing a son looking at his mother. Léah returned the look.

"Would you like to come to Rivendell and stay for a while?" Elrond asked seeing the looks shared be tween Léah and Estel. The three agreed and hey went off to Rivendell. Estel jabbered on to Léah and Elrond thought, 'I think he has found his mother figure.'

AN: There it is! Hope it's good. The intro was kinda long but oh well. Tell me what you think!
