Just two more chapters to go.
Jake, Chance, Felina and Feral carefully got down from the roof and let Callie in. "You know you don't have to do this." Feral told her.
"I'm going to. She's my sister and she's in trouble." she replied. Everyone shrugged and they turned to head down the dark corridor.
"At least we don't have to worry about any lights. But it's going to be hard to see ourselves." Chance said. Jake reached into a bag he had on his side and pulled out some goggles. Everyone grabbed a pair and put them on, they were all surprised when the darkness turned into daylight, they didn't see any creeplings or anything so that was a good sign. They crept from one corridor to another, there were no creeplings or even the Dark Swat Kats or even Dark Kat himself which was weird and worrisome. They all started to think the same thing, that they were to late and that Cassandra had already been hooked up to what ever machine Dark Kat had in the building. Suddenly they all stop when they hear someone shouting from off in the distance, they all strained their ears to see if they could make out who's voice it was.
"Let me go! Let me go! I swear to God I'll scratch your eyes out if you don't let me go!" Cassandra shouted and a second later they could hear Dark Kat yelling. They all smirked since Cassandra was obviously able to handle herself, they knew that they couldn't wait forever though and they started walking towards the noises again. When they rounded the last corner and they saw a creepling standing in the doorway with its' back turned towards them. Jake quickly grabbed it and they hurriedly tied and gagged it before Chance tossed a smoke grenade into the room, everyone in there started to cough and Dark Kat dropped Cassandra. She crawled away from him and bumped into someone, she looked up and saw a tall heavier kat standing there. "Chance?" she whispered.
"Yeah it's me." he said. She held her hand out and he violently jerked her up and she realized that it wasn't the right Chance. He pointed something at her throat and she let out a small squeak of terror. Once the smoke cleared everyone came running out with Jake and Chance pointing their gloves at everyone and everything until they saw the dark Chance pointing his glove at Cassandra's throat. They slowly lowered their gloves and the dark Chance pulled her back kicking and struggling back to Dark Kat, while they watched the creeplings grabbed them and knocked them down to their knees. Cassandra looked on helplessly as they were tied up and lined up to face the machine that Dark Kat had tried to strap her to a minute ago.
Dark Kat smirked and placed her on the machine, Cassandra struggled and tried to scratch him again while both Dark Swat Kats and the creeplings strapped her down. With a smirk Dark Kat turned to them "I guess this means that you lose. Oh and poor Commander Feral won't be able to get on TV and pretend to be the hero this time." he teased before turning to Cassandra. "I would tell you that this won't hurt but I can't make you that promise." he said and switched the machine on. It made a few weird noises and then Cassandra's head flung back and she let out a scream as the pain hit her hard. The creeplings jumped down as if they found joy in her pain and Dark Kat let out a smirk, while everyone else struggled to get out of their binds Callie carefully and calmly used one of her claws and cut Jake loose.
He turned and noticed and Callie nodded her head towards Chance, Jake leaned over and cut him loose too. They went down the line until Felina and Feral were free then Jake cut Callie loose. They all stood up and Dark Kat's face dropped and then he got angry, he the creeplings and the Dark Swat Kats all attacked while Cassandra stayed on the table of the machine and screamed bloody murder. She faded in and out until her body could no longer take it and let her pass out, she could feel herself drifting on air and she was just about to give up when a voice spoke up "Oh no. You're not giving up that easily!" she blinked out of confusion. She swore that it sounded like Isabelle. "You're going to get up and you're going to fight!" she said.
"Fight? How? I'm strapped down!" she shouted to the air.
"Really? Seriously? You've got an amazing power! Just think of the straps coming off and fight!" Isabelle yelled annoyed.
"It can't be that easy." Cassandra argued back.
"Hey with this power anything is that easy. Now just do it! Focus all of your energy on fighting back not destroying the city and you can do it!" Isabelle said. Cassandra let out a sigh but did as she was told, she felt a strange warmth around her. "That's it! Now just open your eyes and get those straps off of you and destroy that machine!" Isabelle said. Cassandra focused a bit more and suddenly her eyes opened, all around her was a purple light. Everyone stopped fighting to stare at her, the straps slowly lifted off of her and she sat straight up. She turned towards Dark Kat with an angry look "You're done." she said and hopped off of the table.
Okay I'm going to cut it short that way I can have 24 chapters instead of 23 because I'd rather have an even number of chapters. And here's some more of the clue.
