"Roy! I'm home!" Edward called out, closing the door behind him hurriedly. Roughly pulling off his boots, Ed stumbled out of the entryway and down the hall to his and Roy's bedroom. There he slowed, peering around the corner so as to not disturb the man if he was asleep. "You okay?"

Roy lay on the bed, bundled up in blankets, clutching a tissue box. Grinning tiredly, he waved Edward over. "I told you, I'm fine. It's just a cold."

"Yeah, but it worries me," Ed murmured, walking softly over to the bed and sneaking under the covers to curl up next to Roy. "I don't like it when you're sick."

"I hardly think you could call it sick," Roy laughed, though it quickly turned into a cough. Edward pulled back, alarmed that he might be hurting the man, but Roy grabbed him close just as swiftly. "Don't go again, I missed you. I wouldn't have stayed home if you hadn't made me." The man pressed a gentle kiss into Ed's hair. "How was it with Gracia and Elicia?"

"Loads of fun," Edward answered, unable to stop himself from being distracted by the question. "They wished you could have come, of course, but they both found dresses. Well, a dress, they're both wearing the same cut…Gracia's is blue with a silver trim, and Elicia's is the opposite, though."

"You should have let me come," Roy repeated. "I would have liked to see that."

"You still can!" Ed laughed. "It's not like it has to be some secret, like with mine, you can go over and visit when you're better."

"Hmm," the man hummed in agreement, lapsing into a silence that was broken only by the occasional cough and the light sound of Roy's hand running through Edward's hair.

"You want me to make you something?" Ed asked after a long while, only speaking to prevent himself from dozing off. "Dinner in bed?"

"No," Roy replied slowly. "But can you grab my laptop? It's in the living room."

Nodding, Edward stretched as he sat up, padding into the living room and looking around, spotting the computer half buried under a pillow. Rolling his eyes, Ed grabbed it and returned to the bedroom, only to find that Roy had sat up. "Hey, you're supposed to be resting."

"I did rest," the man responded, the hint of a pout in his voice. "All day, while you were off dress shopping. Now I'm going to spend some time with my fiancé, if that's all right with you."

"What if it's not?" Edward teased, even as he handed over the laptop and snuggled up under the blankets.

"I'd get my way anyway," Roy declared confidently. "You know you can't resist my charm." The man punctuated the statement with a kiss, smiling as Ed gave in easily. "See?"

"Shut up, if I really wanted to I could leave right now," Edward growled back.

"Whatever you say." Roy pulled the computer onto his lap and opened it up, motioning for Ed to look.

"What?" Edward asked, scooting up a bit so he had a clear view of…Roy's desktop background (which, by the way, was a conglomeration of photos of himself being a badass).

"Well, I'm stuck here because you won't let me leave, and that means you're stuck because I'm not letting you leave again," Roy explained. "So I thought now would be a good time to spring a surprise on you."

"What kind of surprise?" Ed couldn't not be cautious—he loved Roy to death but sometimes the man could be downright devious.

"Don't look so scared!" Roy laughed, coughing again. "I'm not going to hurt you, gosh. I'm talking about our honeymoon, darlin'."

"Did you just call me 'darlin'?'" Edward asked, expressionless.

Roy rolled his eyes. "I was thinking about it, and we've seen a lot of Amestris. I mean, we've both traveled plenty for the military, and then we went on that road trip last year. Sure, there's a lot more to be seen, but I thought it would be nice to go somewhere else, so…I booked our plane tickets."

Ed raised his eyebrows, putting a look of mock concern on his face. "Where to? You know I can be awfully picky."

Grabbing a pillow and hitting Edward over the head with it, Roy announced, "Xing!"

So much of Ed wanted to pout over the pillow and the fact that he could hardly reciprocate when Roy was sick, but…more of him was brimming over in excitement. "Xing!" Edward squealed. "Really?"

"Yes, really, you big goofball."

Giggling, Edward replied, "You're insults are really bad when you're sick."

Roy grinned back at him. "So? Good choice?"

"Yes!" Ed emphasized his response by pulling Roy down for a kiss.

"You know, if you aren't careful, you're going to get sick too," the man murmured.

"I don't care!" Edward laughed. "You were right, I can't stay away from you." One more quick peck, and then he pulled back. "But if you already know where we're going, and booked the tickets and all, what do you need the computer for?"

"All I booked were the tickets. I figured since we're both here we could start to look around at some stuff we could do while we're there."

"I'm really quite proud of you," Ed commented. "I would have thought you'd keep me locked away in a hotel room the entire time."

"Oh, don't worry, I'm still keeping you on a tight leash," Roy cautioned. "One activity a day, for two hours maximum. Other than that, your ass is mine." The man chuckled at his own joke. "Literally."

"Somehow, I think I can handle that," Edward muttered, nudging Roy's side with his head. "But aren't you bored of me yet?"

Roy's eyes bored into him, searching to see if he was serious or messing around. Honestly, it was both. They'd been together for over a year, and they'd been fucking all that time. Ed couldn't help but wonder if Roy was going to get tired of him soon. After all, as far as he knew, this was the longest relationship the man had ever maintained, and though Edward didn't doubt that Roy loved him…well, he just wasn't sure that Roy wouldn't be bored with one partner for the rest of his life.

"How could you even ask that, Ed?" Roy answered, looking a little sad. "You know I love you."

"No, I know!" Edward amended hastily. "I just mean…sexually. I'm just me, and that's all I'm ever going to be. You're bound to get sick of the same old thing eventually."

"Edward Elric," Roy began sternly. "You're being stupid. That's not—"

"But that's what everyone says," Ed interjected. "People get bored of each other."

"Are you bored of me?" Roy challenged.

"Not at all," Edward murmured, cheeks reddening. "I always want you. But I've only ever had you, and you used to have so many different people…I just…don't know if I can be enough to replace all that."

Roy huffed, pushing the laptop away and rolling over so that he was on top of Ed. "Edward Elric," he said again, voice low. "I don't think you understand how I feel about you. All those women in the past…they were so boring." Ed's breath was coming in short, surprised gasps. "They might have been different people, but they were all the same." Roy slipped a hand up Edward's shirt as he continued, nuzzling his neck. "But you. Every time I'm with you I find something new that I love about you. A new sound you make, a new sensitive spot to abuse, a new way to tease you…I can't get enough. Ever. Every time I'm around you, I just want to touch you, to see that cute little expression you make when you're begging me for more…"

Ed couldn't take it. He got the point, and now Roy's breath was on his neck and everything the man was saying was killing him—Edward grabbed Roy's cheeks and pulled him in for a deep kiss. When they finally broke apart, Roy panted, "Have I made myself clear?"

"Yes," Ed gasped.

"Good," the man growled, descending on Edward once more, fingers dancing across his chest.

"Roy," Ed whimpered. "You can't fuck me when you're sick."

"The hell I can't."

"I'm serious, it's not good for you!" Edward insisted. "You're coughing enough already, I don't need you to stop breathing on me!"

Groaning, Roy nevertheless rolled off of Ed in defeat. They both lay there, letting their hearts calm down for a moment, before Edward piped up again. "You know what we should do?"

"What?" Roy asked, running gentle fingers down his arm.

"Abstain before the honeymoon. Just for a couple weeks. That way the anticipation will build, kind of like it does when virgins go on a honeymoon, yeah? And it'll all be more exciting, you know, having waited so long."

"I don't want to agree," Roy groaned, "but it's a good idea."

Edward giggled at the strained expression on the man's face. "Hey, it'll be harder for me, I'm just a hormonal teenager, remember?"

Roy rolled his eyes good naturedly. "Yeah, but I have to watch you all day."

"I'll be sure to wear my shorts, just for you," Ed teased, winking. He interrupted Roy's subsequent response with a yawn. "Come on then, Mr. Planner. Show me what's in store for me in Xing."

Edward watched, snuggling into Roy's side as the man opened up his bookmarks, pulling up pictures of sunsets on rivers, ancient, artful temples, unusual massage techniques, festivals, exotic food…all the excitement made Ed drowsy, and before long Roy was closing the computer and petting Edward's hair, lulling him to sleep.

"Roy," Ed murmured, "you know what's great?"

A light cough. "What?"

"In moments like this, I just think that I don't ever want it to stop. And then I realize…it doesn't. We're going to be together forever."

Just before he slipped into unconsciousness, Edward felt Roy press a responding kiss onto his forehead, and he smiled.
